She really wants us to understand math and will work with you to make sure you get it. She expects you to work hard and come to class. She reviews a lot before the exam.

This class was difficult but the teacher was helpful and i believe as long as you come to class and pay attention and do your homework you will have no problem passing the class! She is nice and helped me when i needed it =)

ok so she is great about responding to questions in class and explaining things until you understand them. However asking questions through email you may not always get a response. This can be frustrating especially when you have a question about homework and its due the next day. This may only be because that I took her class during the summer.

This professor has a bad attitude and class picks, not the behavior you want from someone who has to grade you. The people who wrote the nice comments are the ones she passed but what about the ones she failed. Be extra careful with this one.

I would highly recommend this teacher. Helpful,nice,clear, good at teaching math. Before I took this class, I have always dislike math until now. If you want a good math teacher that explains things clearly and takes the time for you to learn than take this class, you have fun and actually learn.

She was clear and helpful and made me look at math in an entirely different way. She encouraged us to find different ways to do a problem which made it easy for students who didn't understand the usual way of doing things. I've e-mailed her many times wondering when she'll teach again as she's on a hiatus right now.

Really awesome! She wants her students to understand and enjoys going to Math Lab to help her students and even gives extra credit here and there! Very awesome considering I haven't had a math in 2 years. And she is hilarious!

I would love to have her as my math teacher through my college experience. She helps you understand everything you need to know. I love the flip class room where you have to do homework in class and study what you need to know at home and we also go over it in class. Shes really fun.

She has a well structured class and usually goes by the outline. She has a quiz on each chapter before class starts. Tests are easy if you do practice problems and the homework. You put in the effort, she'll make sure you pass. Great Professor!!

Took this class as an 8 week course, so it is pretty fast paced, there are daily quizzes over hw, but you can use notes/hw, and you will need your book. She's honestly an amazing teacher, and as long as you regularly show up for class you're guaranteed to pass. I highly recommend taking Prof. Ashraf if you struggle with math!

Professor is very clear and specific about what she teaches, it is very important to show up because missing one day is like missing a week sooooooo be in class. Also there is homework so do it because it will help in quizzes and Exams.

I was always terrible at math, she really wants you to understand and gives many opportunities to make your grade better. I really appreciated her teaching style, it truly made algebra make sense! Don't miss any lectures, do the homework and you will make a great grade!

Overall, she was a pretty good professor. Shes more than willing to answer most questions. She does like to call out people and have them answer out loud and write on the board. She has a tendency to get moody and frustrated quite quick and can cause students to get unfocused. Overall decent though!

Anyone who want to take this professor, please do. You won't regret it and she is really helpful with everyone.

Prof. Ashraf is super fair and will give you every opportunity to pass the class. If you fail, it will be because you didn't do your part. Professor Ashraf cares about her students and wants every single one of the them to succeed. If one of the students did not understand the material well enough she made sure to go over it again and try to explain it in a better manner. I was not a big fan of math at the start of the class but I have learned to like math a lot more.

Professor Ashraf is the best math professor I've had. I had tried to take this class two times before but ended dropping them because I would get lost in the material . This is the first time I'm actually understanding math and passing with a good grade. I really wish I could take her for Math 1314 :(

I had trouble in this course which I failed a semester prior, however, I'm confident that I will pass this time thanks to Professor Ashraf. She breaks down a problem and solves it step-by-step, as well as randoming calling out someone to make sure they understand the material. Overall, she is a good professor to take if you are struggling at math.
