Prof is very pleasant BUT very disorganized, difficult to understand (language), prof could not answer most questions that were asked, overall an extremely frustrating class.
extremely unclear in lecture, very unorgonized.
she is a nice person, but it is frustrating trying to understand her. she is not a good teacher so i recommend you show up to class to get the attendance points and then just read the book. if you dont do that than i have pitty on you.
language barrier between student and very bad accent.
Teaches right out of book. Gives outlines for each chapter. Tests are easy. Tells you most of what will be on them. Easy way to earn 3 credits! Strong accent but so what...she teaches almost word for word from the book. Answered our class questions with ease. She is a microbiologist!
shes nice but it was the worst class of my life. she does not teach, she reads out of the book. shes confusing and her accent doesn't help. dont take her if you even kind of dont understand biology
No Comments
She is a very nice lady but she is very difficult to understand. Her class is pretty easy. She really doesn't grade extremely hard so if you want an easy science credit take this class with her
Ms. Huddle's class is difficult, but if you study hard, it will be worth the effort. Lab's are not difficult and tests are pretty clear, here's a hint... study your diagrams in the chapters! She uses a LOT of them. Organize a study group and you should do well, she includes 4-5 chapters in each test. Go online for chapter ?'s, they're on the test.

She goes way to fast and you can't understand her.

teacher is kind of hard to understand but she really isn't all that hard for class. The tests are straight out of the book. You can skip a lot of classes and she won't even notice. Probably one of the easiest A's I ever got a HACC
An excellent professor, even if her accent makes it hard to understand her at times. You really do have to study a lot to earn a good grade, but she is more than happy to help you outside of class if you just ask.
Sheela is a good person, but her accent and style of teaching does make it hard to follow her. She will be happy to explain, but her explanations are hard to follow. See a pattern? It's easy to get stuck in this class. She hands out note packets so you don't have to take notes, which is good. Between unclear text and unclear teaching, it's not easy
please people she cant get any easier with all the extra credit points she gives u a chance at an easy B for sure just study what ever is on the study sheet for the test dont study anything else but that
she is a very kind hearted teacher. to get a good grade you need to study. she goes out of her way to help you however she can. she is great teacher.
If you like a teacher that reads word for word from Power Point then hey, this is the teacher for you!!!Took it over the summer, was very intensive, specially since you get NOTHING from classroom lecture!!!For the price we pay for classes, maybe they should send some of these teachers back to school themselves. The Labs were easy. What a waste of money!
she is a wonderful professor. her accent is hard for some, but she is fair- offers lots of extra credit- and she gives you study guides (and if you know the study guides, youll get a good grade)
Prof Huddle is a great teacher. She is enthusiastic and truly interested in what she teaches. She tries very hard to make it interesting. Her lab was the most interesting lab I had at HACC. I think people need to get over the accent thing. I never had any trouble trying to understand her. She's also generous with partial credit on exams.
She did not teach !!!!!!!!! I taught myself. I will never take any of her classes, EVER !!!!!!!!!!!
Not an easy professor (but who is in A&P), but will go out of her way to help you and to answer any of your questions. Is very available and commited to helping her students. Is very fair and wants to see her students succeed. She will challenge you, but is personable and friendly. I wouldn't want to take A&P with anyone else.
best professor I ever had.
Pretty easy in lab, but exams a little tough. Grading isn't that bad and her lab practicals are simple. The paper she had our class do was very easy. Accent a little tough, but doable. She says enwirement..good prof for having never taught Bio 101/Botany.
Sheela is a very good a&p teacher. She is a little hard to understand and disorganized at times but is very knowledgable and interested in what she teaches. Read the book and know the study guides and you'll be set for an A.
She seemed nice, but i could barely understand her. She did not write what she was talking about on the board, so it made it extremely difficult to write notes as she said it.
She seems like she knows what she is talking about, but then says something completely different form the book. Reads off of powerpoints the whole time, some good stories, overall, take someone else!
I loved this class. I thought the lectures could get boring but not many wouldn't after an almost 3 hour class. The labs were fun and she is willing to help if you ask. The tests were not too bad. She gives you a good idea of what you need to study. Her accent can be interesting but I did not find it hard to understand.
I loved her class!
She is a great professor. Made little jokes here and there to lighten the topics. Would recommend to anyone! Dissapointed not teaching BIOL 122.
sheela is a very nice person, but her tests are very hard, tests don't make sense with what is in textbook. Labs are fun, that was the only interesting thing in this class. I would only recommend her if you could not get a better teacher.
Very nice, but accent is hard to understand
Sheela is very helpfull and is willing to take time out to make the subject easier to understand she always makes sure everyone is on the same page. I had no problem understanding her I would recommend her to first time anatomy takers. Her outlines make things much easier and I don't think her tests are that difficult.
very nice person, great accent, but easy to understand, gives out typed notes. makes jokes even on the tests. i wish the class would have been a bit more challenging for the sake of retention.
Nice person. She's very interested in the subject; however, her tests are nearly incomprehensible. She contradicts the textbook and tends to be very vague in assignments. Her study guides do not reflect the material to be covered by the tests. I would not recommend her for micro.
Amazing! Very helpful. If you keep up with reading in the book and her notes, you will do well. The tests are pretty easy, there's just alot to study. Very willing to help outside of class. Take advantage of her in the learning center!
Professor Huddle is a great teacher who expects a lot from her students. She is always available for help outside of class and even had tutoring 2 days out of the week. She wants all of her students to succeed but you definitely have to put an effort into studying outside of class. I recommend reading your book outside of class and make note cards.
very nice teacher, yet she is really hard to understand. need to be committed to studying. tests are fair, but lab test are hard.
Great teacher!!! Enjoyed her A&P I class very much.
She is a Great professor!! Anatomy is a hard subject, but she makes it interesting and easy! Her tests are not hard & I'm not a test taker! Her study guides and notes are what is on the test! She drops the lowest test grade in lab and lecture, her quizzes are extra credit. Her accent is easy to understand! know the pics for the tests!
You have to work hard, but when you are done you know SO MUCH! This subject has a lot to cover so you go pretty fast, but Prof. Huddle is awesome. She is funny, and is so smart. She has been my favorite Prof.
I took the summer 2010 8 week a&p 1 class. It was very fast, but not bad. She gave a study guide, and an outline of what she was lecturing on. There was ALOT of extra credit and she dropped the lowest test grade, and lowest lab grade. I would recommend her!
I love A&P, but she made class pretty unbearable-if you have a short attention span I would not recommend taking her. She stands there and reads off of a powerpoint and repeats herself the whole class. Some of the questions on her test can be difficult to decipher due to the language barrier..she words things in odd ways and has a lot of typos.
One of the best professors I have had at HACC. She gives good outlines of what she will be discussing in each lecture and she also gives great study outlines for test. In the lab,she is also just as clear about what she wants you to learn. Microbiology is a tough class, but she makes it fun and understandable. Always willing to help anyone who asks.
I had her over the summer for an 8 week a&p class which is a very fast moving class but she was very helpful and always asked if we had questions. Her tests were hard but she always had 5 extra credits points at the end of each exam and drops the lowest lecture and lab grade. I liked her class overall.
I just had her for a&p 1 (an 8-week summer class). She's very helpful... and funny. She knows her stuff. I've never her seen her stumble answering anyone's questions. I'm used to foreigners' accents so I had no problem understanding her but had to pay attention to the phonetic spellings in book for terminology pronunciations. Lab book=pointless
This professor is impossible to understand. It hurts my brain just trying to decipher what she is saying. I would have been better off not going to class because she teaches everything directly from the book. Tests are hard to understand-the questions are confusing and worded in broken english. She expects you to know every detail of every chapter.
i absolutely loved her for this class. she is sweet as pie, and she is well rounded and highly educated on her studies. she is also silly and likes to make jokes. lecture was a little dry, but i had a super long class. i had no trouble understanding her accent. overall, she was very FAIR. you need to WORK HARD! it's bio people!!
Sheela is great and knows just about everything about human anatomy. There is a ton of content which is hard to follow some times and it goes very fast but as long as you try to keep up then you'll do fine. Sheela is very willing to help you outside of class time.
She is very nice and can be helpful. She goes SUPER fast, and her tests are pretty difficult. Her lab tests are ridiculous, and hard to pass. The first lab she will go through things FAST and then until your test you just review. She gets made if you leave early. Overall its a lot of work, pretty hard, and she goes super fast.
She responds to all questions, and held study groups. She is thorough and definitely wants her students to have a good understanding of the subject. She covers a lot of material, but if you come prepared she will appreciate it, and so will you. She is very kind. If you want to understand micro, take her class!
I was excited to take Micro, until I started this class. Professor Huddle is not organized at all and tries to rush through the information to stay on schedule wether you understand or not. You ask her a question and most of the time she can't even answer. Her tests are very hard. I was a straight A student until this class. Wouldn't recommend.
Proffersor was really nice but very hard to understand. She read from a power poiint and during lab you pretty much had to learn everything on your own. Her test were extremely hard no matter how much you studied. she was always willing to help outside of class.
Prof. Huddle is an excellent person who really cares about her students. Her tests are difficult, and she isn't the most organized person in the world, but she can be flexible. You really have to learn how to not focus entirely let on what she does in class bc she can go off on random stories. She gives small extra credit boosts, and is helpful!
Don't take her she is ridiculous. She told me to basically self teach myself her class and lectures are pointless. Don't take her, it will make you want to drop out of college.
I have been an A and B student till I took this class. Worst class EVER!!! She is very nice but you cannot understand her nor can you read her writing.Over half the people in my class are failing. I had to drop the class..
I have mixed views for her. I found her micro labs to be interesting and scored very well on these tests, but her lectures are horribly tedious, boring, and confusing. The lecture tests are incredibly difficult, although I studied A LOT!
A&P is a difficult class that requires dedication and time in learning the material outside of class. She expects everyone to have read the chapters in depth before coming to class. That is why it seems like she is rushing through the material in class when she is actually just reviewing. She is knowledgeable and expect a lot from her students.
I took Professor Huddle's class this summer in a high pass 8 week course format. She expects a lot from her students and you need to work really hard to get a good grade, but it is worth it! I learned so much from her class and absolutely loved her as a professor! She is very willing to help you outside of class and she gives some extra credit
Excellent teacher. Very informative and funny. Her accent can be hard to understand but you get used to it. Highly recommended
One of my hardest professors ever. Good luck!!
SHE IS SO COMPLICATED, SHE TEACH YOU ABOUT SOMETHING AND TEST YOU ABOUT SOMETHING DIFFERENT. TEST ARE SO HARD.
Prof H was one of my favorite profs. Her classes are not easy, but she is very kind and caring, which saved me one semester when I was dealing with a tough home situation . Be honest with her about what is going on in your life and she will do her very best to help you through it, even if she has to go out of her way to do so.
She is a great teacher, yes t he class is hard but the subject matter is going to be difficult. I recommend taking her for a good learni ng experience. She is very helpful and will clarify anything you ask. She also would hold study groups outside of class time.
Reads word for word off a PowerPoint. Doesn't elaborate on any of the anatomy terms. If you walk into class late (once) or even 3 min late, she will stop class and stare at you. She's not very understanding and doesn't help me understand the info. I even took this class in high school, so I had previous background info and this is still difficult.
She's the worst teacher ever. She doesn't explain anything and goes over stuff so quickly and expects you to know it and gets upset if you don't. You basically have to teach yourself because she just reads off of a PowerPoint. She's awful.
SHE DOESN'T ANSWER EMAILS LIKE WHY??????? SHE IS SO RUDE.
She is very serious about getting through all of the information that is necessary to learn in the course. Make sure that you read your chapters before class as this will help you keep up with the lectures and quizzes. She also offers group tutoring before tests which was very helpful! She is very kind and genuinely wants her students to succeed.
Literally the worst teacher I've ever had at HACC
Best professor I've ever had. Extremely helpful, offered study sessions on her own time, happy to answer questions even at the expense of precious lecture time, very friendly, approachable and understanding. For the most part, those who dropped out or failed were not putting forth the effort required for this course (there are always exceptions).
Sheela is awesome and she makes herself available to you if you need help. She is passionate about her students understanding the material and will make sure you're reading. If you read & apply yourself you'll do fine. If you think this is going to be an easy class, don't really have to read, & can get away with studying the night before, you fail
Difficult to understand at first. If you show up to class and actually LISTEN, use the PowerPoints she posts on D2L, and take notes it won't be so bad. She tells you what you must know for the exams. She is always willing to help even outside of class. She genuinely cares about her students.
Prof Huddle cares a lot about her students. If you are having trouble in her class and genuinely want to do well - go to her and she will spend time to help you. She is very supportive, more supportive than some of the actual Advisors. Treat her with respect and she will reciprocate. She even was willing to be a job reference for me!
Professor Huddle is great caring woman. She shares her PowerPoints on D2l and puts up study guide a few days into the new chapter. Only downfall is she is a little unorganized and is HORRIBLE with due dates :,(
She reads off a power point shes so hard to understand. PowerPoint consist of about 130-170 slides that she tries to go over in one class. Homework is so vast and only worth 10 points. Got a C in 121 & a D in 122. Took another teacher for micro and I have a B
Prof. Huddle is nice and cares but you have to work to learn & understand. She is there to assign work and guide you along the way. Despite being disorganized, she provides clear guidelines, study guides, and power points. She's very fast, doesn't explain well and assumes you got it the first time. Study ALOT, teach yourself and you'll do well.
Professor Huddle was an average teacher she really relied on her power points in the lecture, she read right off of them and expected you to know about 90% of the information. The only good thing was that she gave good study guides for the lecture tests. Lab was easier in my opinion she always gave a word bank and gave time before tests to study.
Professor Huddle's class was tough. I don't think she is a horrible teacher, but she is not the best either. Her lectures are a little bit scattered and she seemed to be all over the place at times. That being said she gives homework, sketching, online quizzes, and tests to determine your final grade. The points from things other than tests helps.
Professor Huddle is a wonderful professor! I had her for A&P I. It is a difficult subject. You MUST study and work for your grade! I had a 50/50 blended class (lecture online, meet for lab). That was rather difficult for such a heavy subject but we had study groups and Professor Huddle met with students on Sundays before an exam! Very reachable!
She is hard on grading . She look all little mistakes . Ex, in the lab any spelling errors will count even one. Lecture open ended or fill in blank ,drawing, and multiply choice. You must work hard to pass her class. No extra credit.
Beware!! Challenging class not too helpful
I can honestly say that professor huddle was NOT worth taking. She is VERY tough, and is VERY VERY unorganized, and goes WAY to fast during lecture. She does NOT give you a thorough study guide. (Expects you to know everything) I hate to talk so poorly, but I would NEVER recommend her to anyone.
Unless you have all the time in the world to read and reread the text book save yourself, Do Not take this class. First A&P class out of high school, I was told I would be fine. I had a D after studying 15+ hours a week, being a full time student and working part time so had to withdrawl. She speaks very quickly and is sometimes hard to understand.
She is my least favorite teacher! Do not take her
IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE DO NOT TAKE A COURSE TAUGHT BY THIS PROFESSOR. She is the most unorganized professor I have ever had. She changes grades without notice. She DOES NOT teach. There is no lecture. You must show up to class but you are basically on your own. Have a question? Dont bother asking. She won't answer. Her fail/drop out rate is 50%.
50/50 blended course in RONA-Syllabus has clear expectations of what is expected, but changed throughout the semester w/o notice;random paper was not on the syllabus came up¬ clear of due dates of HW;hard to talk via email, only answers 1 of 4 questions at a time, if she answers; No proctor exams/quizes;Be prepared to teach yourself every chapter
Not very helpful during lectures and doesnt go over everything you need to know. You are teaching yourself most material.
Professor Huddle is very nice, I liked her a lot. Her class is hard, expect to do a lot of reading and a lot of homework. You must draw diagrams, homework and lab book for each unit. Her accent is heavy so she can be difficult to understand at times. If you dont put the time and effort into the class you will not pass. She puts personal time in.
I have my under grad, my masters, in now for a career change. I am a seasoned student & Professor Huddle was easily one of my best professors. I was a bit puzzled by other comments, but the course work she teaches is very dense, so you have to take the work seriously. She goes above & beyond to help you if you're ever struggling. Highly recommend
The WORST prof I've had. As a blended course, she hardly post any lecture recordings going in depth with the material. Her exam questions don't make sense, and are based off of material not even mentioned in the content. Spent more time on exams trying to determine what she was asking. Doesn't give enough time to complete 60+ question exams/quizzes
She is unable to write clear, complete sentences so you struggle understanding the questions asked. Sets 15 different due dates for each assignment, even her syllabus varies throughout for the same assignment. Not helpful when emailing. Tries tricking you on exams. Exam questions are on the most insignificant details of the lecture, not main points
expects you to memorize every single detail, half the stuff isn't even on the powerpoint. Homework is lengthy and even if you answer everything, she will take a point off for not over explaining. Literally should be fired as you teach yourself everything with no help
You end up teaching yourself most of the material. "Labs" are spent mostly doing independent study/review. She is kind and caring, but not my favorite professor. Sometimes seems unorganized.
Professor Huddle is very caring and understanding. She'll meet with you almost anytime via zoom to help you with anything you're struggling with. There are a good amount of quizzes and some homework assignments which are doable. You have to work in her class if you want to pass her class, you cannot be lazy.
Unprofessional. Tries to trick you on the exam. Grammatical errors (even on QUIZZES/TESTS) which lead to misunderstandings and wrong answers. Timelines do not add up with syllabus.
DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE. Prof. Huddle doesn't teach, is unorganized, provides very little content to study for exams. She takes points off anything she can, even when you provide 4 pages of answers for a handful of questions. Worst of all, she tries to trick you on exams. Worst class I have ever taken, hands down.
Prof. Huddle is a nice person at her core. However, that message gets lost in the mess. Organization? Forget it. Grading? Don't try to understand it it'll only tick you off more. Testing? A serious joke. Lab is already hard enough to understand, so missing one is out of the question. If you are okay wasting money to teach yourself than she's great!
Professor Huddle was one of my favorite professors for this past semester. Biology isn't an easy class so be prepared to study hard. This professor has clear expectations and will meet with you on her own time if you request. Organization isn't a strong point, but resources are posted. Be prepared to work hard and you will pass this class.
I took the lecture portion of this course online, so studying was up to me. You really have to review the materials everyday to understand the topic. She does give study guides. I didn't like that all of the tests (even labs) are timed. It made me feel rushed & forgetful. If I had more time to think, I know I would have done so much better!
class felt so unorganized and confusing. prof was demotivating.
This class is not organized at all. Professor Huddle is nice, but can be really strict. You have to come in for labs but mostly do independent work. Basically, you're on your own.
