This teacher is horrible!!Too much Information and the test was hard to study from because all questions came form either the book, powerpoint, or her on notes.Test average for the class was always failing. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
How lame?teacher horrible because U have to read text book!I haven't come across any teacher in Science Dept. who doesn't make U read T.book @ south. Is it Ur 1st scien class. subj.is diff. not teacher.its 2nd time I'm takng A&p, 1st time with her. Good luck in finding easy teacher 4 a diff. subject @ best comm. colleg in Hous.teacher is helpful
I like her as a person but not a teacher. Her lectures are poorly organized she jumps around from topics to topics and does not care if students don't listen to her lectures. Never divide the chapters up and never give a break. She gives a lot of extra credits but they don't help much cuz you'll do bad on the tests anyway.Do not giveanykindofreview
immensely funny!Great teacher very helpful! She was so good that I wanted to take 1407 with her,Sadly she is not teaching that!I do plan on taking her for A&P.I disagree that she is terrible teacher since I have taken her for 1406.I had to study for my A grade.Remember folks passing grades are earned by those who are willing to put forth the effort!
Great teacher! Hard on cheaters! If you are a habitual cheater, don't take her! She will catch you! Trust me you don't want to ruin your future!
WONDERFUL teacher! She bends over backwards to help every student do well. TONS of extra credit, anyone who puts forth a genuine effort should get a B, but not hard to make an A with her. Highly recommend!
Taking 1406,Sweet&very helpful. Her Credit assignments require alot of work. They are definitely not free.We have 2 think like research scientists, come up with a science exp. idea,we get it okayed by her, perform the exp,it cant be copied from internet(she checks),then 4 page research along with abstract. However love her for her innocense & simplicity
She is bad!!! don't take this class!!! if she is not done with the lecture she will continue in the lab while you do the other stuff.
Did'nt anyone tell these idiots, lec & labs go hand in hand in AP.Smart ones like us figured it out!Grow up for christ sake! You must be failing this class. She is good & isnt easy. She touches all the difficult topics, doesnt ask students to do it on their own.She covers tissue chap in both lec and lab & Bones as well.At least she teaches unlike others
Overall she is a nice person, but so good of a teacher. If you have any problems with understanding accents, then this might not be the class for you. She comes across as rude but it's not intentional. She doesn't put up with anything so be on your toes and be respectful above all else. Her tests are long and hard!! Plan on taking a lot of study

She is strict;I disagree she's rude.Majority of the class is of boys;loud, rowdy & disrespectful.I paid hard earned money to hear the teacher¬ bunch of rowdy KIDS.she repeatedly has to request ADULTS to be quiet; She'scomprehensible.Doen't have heavy accent.I am maintaining B in class.'A' is possible but I'm taking all hard courses this semester.
Boys arn't rowdy they are energetic. We had 1 fat middle aged woman in class whos always teaching us manners &herself lacks.Ouch! We already have mothers. It's middle aged students who are jack asses ,not the younger students. This teacher has a good style of teaching&helps everyone.I'm making high B without credit points help.I have earned my money!
OMG, do not take this professor for AP1 you will die the class started with all seats filled up and in the middle only 8 students were left and her lectures go nowhere her lab she is not helpfull SHE WILL ALWAYS PUT IT ON THE department policy (BS) SHE DOES NOT GIVE YOU A REVIEW ALL SHE DOES IT POST SOMETHING ONLINE SAYING KNOW EVERYTHING, NO NO NO
Dr. Nasir is a great teacher. Study the notes and pay attention in class and you can make an A.
Very Friendly,Helpful, knowledgeable&fair as a person. Both my friend and I have made an A in her class. we just saw our course grade.she is alwasy available to help students.is strict on following the dept.&college policies & policies in her syllabus.AP is a very difficult subject,be prepared to stop all fun activities for the next 4-5 months.

Maybe her other classes were sppon fed except us. Aperently she is not that good at teaching AP1, the other teachers intimidate her and she does not have good teaching instincts. She gives you nothing for the finale especially when its comprehensive and synchronize testing is going on. Don't be fooled by thes kiss ups, take an experienced professor
Hey I made it thru this class and I made an A. BUT THIS IS NOT A CLASS YOU WANT TO ATTEND WITH THIS PROFESSOR, I HAD TO FIGHT FOR MY GRADE, AS IN I HAD TO DROP 2 CLASSES AND COMPLETLETLY FOCUS ON THIS CLASS, SHE GIVES YOU NOTHING AND is academically weak. This is not Med or Nursing school and we arn't dumb we know what we need to do when and where.
Not what everyone says, we only had like 6-7 students in class and we started with like 30 and this class is not at all good i promise another professor is much better than her.
PLEASE I PROMISE SHE IS NOT THE BEST PROFESSOR YOU SHOULD TAKE AT SOUTH PERHAPS THE WORST. TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR ANY ONE BUT HER, YOU WILL NOT ENJOY THIS CLASS, AND IF YOU WANT TO TAKE HER GOD HELP YOU YOUR BETTER OFF LEARNING THIS ON YOUR OWN IF YOUR TAKING HER. I made a B and im an A STUDENT. BIG NO NO!! BTW she was a not the Porf I chose.
Terible teacher, you can do better with someone else. I highly suggest you take another professor before her or wait till the next semester not worth risking GPA
I just managed to make an A. This is not Med or Nursing school and we arn't dumb we know what we need to do when and where.
Detailed, clear, and precise. Good knack for examples.I pulled an A in the class. There were 16 of us out of a total of 28 that we started out. Pretty normal for the science courses that I have taken so far. Not a teacher for lazy students who want an easy A.Frankly there is no easy A in AP. It is a very very difficult subject.
Great teacher who is clear and knows the subject very well. She gives you opportunities to do better in class, if you still fail her class then there is something wrong with you. She is not easy when it comes to labs and lab exams but then she does not set up the lab exams is what I heard from other students and the exams are departmental.
Shes down to earth. Class is fast pace study every day 2 hr& weekends too.Shes very thorough.AP is advance level course in the sciences. Its very difficult subject to comprehend& retain. This class means study& hardwork. Definitely not for couch potatoes.Well once you are in AP2 useless&annoying ones have already been weeded out.highly recommend her
Great command of the subject. Meets with her students during conference hr,is very helpful.no reason why A or B is not possible.Take quizes. Do the assginment. This is not a blow off course. You have to study. shes not easy however youll learn lots. made a high B. didn't do MD Anderson & food drive assignments.could have made an A.My own fault.
She is a very nice person and she cares sometimes but she seems inexperienced, she could use more cofidence in her teaching, which is why her class is more difficult than it seems, and she gives you extra points if i knew how her class was runed prior to then i would have made an A, but shes a toughy!!

Shes a very nice and kind person, but her teaching skills are not that great, i think people do better in her night or evening classes when i think people have only one class, but if u have another class other than this than dont take her take someone else
It seems as if her evening classes have it easy or maybe they dont have other classes to worry about but people have lives and San Jac isn't a University but anyways the subject is hard yes but she will make it harder for you go and drop her class or take a better professor
NOT A GREAT PROFESSOR AND THE OTHER PROFESSORS DONT LIKE HER MUCH ALSO AND SHE PICKS FAVORITES AND IS NOT CARING AT ALL SHE ALWAYS SAYS THINGS ABOUT HER OTHER COUNTRY STYLE OF EDUCATION, WELL THIS IS AMERICA.
Strict, but very helpful. Know the notes thoroughly and you should be able to have a good score. I did.
Strict, but very helpful. Know the notes thoroughly and you should be able to have a good score. I did. Study daily and if you don't understand then go to her during conference time.It helped. She is very good on explaining concepts.
This was a good learning experience class with Dr. Nasir. The only reason anyone would fail her class is because they dont study. She will take the time to help you.She knows her stuff.Make the flash cards, read notes and go to the SI session. If your lazy you will fail. She does not spoon feed so study and save yourself from throwing a fit later
A tough cookie but would go out of her way to help you. Takes interest in her students and their lives. If you have a problem she'll help you and work with you. Make sure you have the necessary paperwork to back your issues.
Hard, but helpful. You have to study to be in class. She is strict on discipline & does not take disrespectful behaviour.I like her cause Im tired of big whiney babies.I made a B in class but couldve made an A.A is definitely possible however my high school children take up my study time. She worked with you & is sensitive to students personal issues
Very learned but difficult. Difficult in the sense that you have to study.Take quiz since they count towards extra credit & the quiz are not the easiest.I am enjoying her class.I wanted to be a bussines major but now I am thinking on changing it since she advised me to try geology or environment since I am not a hard core biologist. Labs are easy.
She teaches mainly from powerpoint slides, and not the textbook. So save your 200 dollars from purchasing the biology book, buy the lab manual only. She post the PowerPoint after the class. The test is pretty much over the powerpoints, however she will test you over 6 or 7 chapters at a time. Basically just study the powerpoints you'll be ok.
Making A is highly possible if you incorporate textbook. However if you are only looking for high C then no book needed. She has reading assignment from book & some test questions from back of the chapters in book.I wouldn't call her easiest teacher on the planet however shes very understanding.Dont email her for curving or boosting grade, she wont.
If you can take someone else then PLEASE do so! Avoid taking her at all cost but if you have no choice (like I did) then be prepared to study and work for your grade. She is not an easy teacher. She is the hardest science teacher I have ever had. Don?t buy the book and study from the notes and use the library biology book to study the self quizzes
She was by far one of my most favorite professors. However, her class is in no way a breeze. She was very helpful and really cares about her students. If you're looking for an EASY A, it won't come easy. This is science, you're gonna have to absorb the info in order to pass.
Strong indian accent, springs up complicated information like it's nothing. She is available after class and stuff, but I just wish she would be more clear the first time around.
this lady is nice i will give her that. but her class is really hard. she teaches from power point slides and its a lot of information at one time. when it came to the test she would make us read about 4 chapters at a time including notes. and sometimes the questions came from god knows where. she is very unclear and has bad accent. DO NOT TAKE.
Ive respect Doc more after yesterd.Doc is fair, upfront, friendly, detailed&has a flow in her style of teach. Her tests make you think.subject is harder than her teahcing.colleges should stick older students in 1 class.they bully young students &bad mouth teacher.Hoever Doc finally shut her up.way to go Doc.this student should be put in another class.
So, I took this class knowing it would be difficult. It is a requirement in the program I am attempting to enroll in. This class was difficult, Dr. Nasir was very understanding of certain things, but was very unhelpful when it came to the material we were supposed to learn. She is very knowledgable on the material, but horrible at teaching it.
I went into this class with the understanding that it would be difficult and definitley a class that would require studying and discipline. However, I feel that Dr. Nasir's teaching methods are unsuccesful. More than half the class either failed or dropped. Would not recommend taking her class.
I took this class with her, got a high A and I am not the only A. I also scored very high at the HCC Coleman testing for my field of interest. Thank you professor. To be successful in her class study and hard is what she requires.
She is very rude & hard to understand her teaching methods. There is no review for the tests. I went into the class with some understanding of the material & knew it would be difficult. I studied a lot and still failed the class along with half of my class, most dropped out. Do not recommend her, She is the worst prof so far in my college carrier!
This class is not a breeze, be prepared to study. She is straight to the point and is great at teaching. I have signed up for her class and would definitely recommend her.
This class is not a breeze, be prepared to study. She is straight to the point and is great at teaching. I have signed up for her class and would definitely recommend her
API demands alot of studying, so be prepared. I passed however, I do not recommentd taking this prof. She stated to study PP & notes to pass..NOT true. Test ?'s came from who knows where. Agree with other rater's, half class had to drop due to her horrible teaching methods and lack of interest in helping students succeed. She is very rude.
WOw what a semester. This class was good except for a few rowdy and disruptive individuals. I studied and aced the class.
This class is a hard class. She is refreshing. Helpful to the extent that she'll go out of her way to help you.The class is dry but her sense of humor is cool.Does simplify the concepts but youll have to study. Most of the questions on the test are from her handouts. She does have critical thinking questions on there as well. I like her & she's hot
She's goodlooking, clear, great at explaining hard core concepts. Can be rude.Stay on her sunny side :)She is very helpful &wants all to succeed.90%of her tests are from notes & 10%from the questions at the back of the book. Her tests are hard.50% of the class dropped. However, if you ask me how she is I'd say she's hot& excellent.I'd give her 5 stars
She isn't interested in her material. She strictly teaches slides and it isn't engaging. She is really rude and sets guidelines the first day, but she doesn't follow them herself. She was an hour late on the second day! She isn't interested in her students succeeding. She tells you your questions are stupid. Do not take her!
Very hard class but nice teacher who makes class bearable by her sense of humor. She was late by 30 minutes when it rained.Shes friendly & answers all the questions, definitely answered mine. She wants students to come prepared to class & it helps or we'll be lost& will look for pointless excuses.I didnt understand mitosis & she explained it on Fri.
Hot, Helpful, Humerous! Highly recommend her! Keep in mind she is a toughy
Funny, nice and extra helpful.I like the fact that she is very well dressed. She does have an accent but its kind of cool! :) I do recommend her.
It was hard, but she becomes helpful in the middle of semester, STUDY is a must. i would take her again :)
I am taking her again too! She is cool and I love her
Very tough professor! You have to study! Hate the subject, love the professor, therefore loved her class.
This class is very very hard, you must study everyday and learn all concepts very well. If you don't, your not going to make it. An A is possible but believe me you have to bust your brain studying. It's a good idea to answer questions in class so you can get points and those points get applied to your test. Very helpful.
Dr. Nasir is great at teaching A&P I. She provides you with helpful techniques to remember your labs. She is not an easy A but then again A&PI is not an easy class. You must study her lecture notes and use the book to clarify. Her tests are not hard if you studied. Labs are a breeze. She offers extra credit and reviews on Saturdays if you're nice!
This class wasn't hard, she just wasn't helpful which made it hard. I learned all the info on my own, especially in lab because she would just go in the hallways and be on her phone all day(srs). A student who took the course previously and was taking the class again taught lab- which he was getting a grade in as well. She was very rude in general.
Dr. Nasir is the bomb.com! She's an amazing teacher. She's very visual teaches off photographs. In lab, she assigns team captains for each group who she shows the dissection to so they show everyone else. It's extra points so volunteer. She may have her M.D. but based on her teaching style, it seems she could also have doctorate in education!
Great teacher. She gives extra credit if you actively participate like answering questions. The class subject is hard but she makes it fun. She is very straight forward she doesn't want you to fail but if you put no effort forward you will. Take her she will prepare you for the future.
Hard, hard, hard!!!! I am beating my butt off for this class. You will have to study for this teacher, and boy....she is a hottie!!!! Love the way she teaches...She's funny all the way and LOL she calls us the " SURVIVORS"!!!
Tough teacher with tough exams. All quest on her final exams were application based + critical thinking. She challenges you! Could've made high B but didnt study enough therefore cannot blame her though Im tempted to.She is very helpful & by defintion a good teacher. She had extra tutor sesseions for class when we were lost. Can be rude but is HOT!!
The way she teaches works for me. She doesn't like to lecture, instead she likes for students to talk back, answer Q's etc. DO IT! You get extra credit on your lecture exams. She teaches very fast though, that's my only complaint.
Dr Nasir is a great teacher. You must tudy in her class and you will receive the grade you earn. A good thing is she likes to know you are paying attention so read ahead and during Q&A she gives points to help on lecture exams. During lab she was not as helpful but this was during the last month when whe had "survivors".
Her teaching style is very active and the questions she asks are used for extra credit towards tests. She moves quickly, but she will pause and make sure the class understands the concepts she just taught. Each test she provides will have a respective study guide she will post. The only exception is the final. She also considers student input.
shes an amazing professor!!
she is very nice, very forward and helpful i highly recommend her. so excited to see her teaching AP II :)
She is a very good professor, Will give you the information necessary to know the material, but you must put lots of effort to pass the class. AP class is very challenging and a lot of studying in general. Be prepared and have a positive mind set.
Took her for night class. You get tested on things that weren't covered in lab exams (ex blood typing, blood pressure reading). She leaves you to learn on your own when it comes to dissection. We had a sub who was more helpful. For lecture: everything you are tested on are in the PPT. Answer Q's in class, get extra points. Study your butt off.
Tough COOKIE. She's very blunt will tell you how she feels about you upfront. Expect to study hard . Does not curve. She knows her material, if you ask questions, she wont hesitate to help you until you understand the material.
I took Dr. Nasir for AP I and she gave me a good grade, I actually like her better than the last teacher I took. She gives chances to answer questions in class to get extra credit on lecture. It was a hard class but AP is hard but if you study you can pass. I could have made an A if I studied more for class.
Gives extra credit for attendance and class participation. Will curve grade at end of semester. Does not help much in lab, our sub taught us more in one night than Nasir did all semester. Crude and rude humor. Have thick skin.
Dr. Nasir is amazing!!! I wasn't really interested in much Bio classes but she completely changed my perspective. I took both AP1 and AP 2 from her and I would take more if I could!!! Definitely recommend her for any class.
Can't understand. When writing on the board, was unclear, can't see even if you're in the front row. Not helpful when asking questions.
Don't expect this class to be an easy breeze. Dr. Nasir makes you work for it so you get what you earn. Even though it's a hard subject, she encourages you every step of the way and is willing to work with you as long as you put forth effort. After both AP1 and AP2 with her, I scored in the 98th percentile for the TEAS exam :) Definitely recommend
Dr. Nasir is a good teacher. Her tests are based off her lecture notes so pay attention to them and write whatever else you can.. She goe strictly off those notes that she provides for you. Her tests are hard but if you covered all of her material you should pass. If you don't want to review the material you will fail!
Dr. Nasir was a tough teacher. I took her over a summer semester which made it all that more tough. I was able to figure out her style well enough to pass the class with a decent grade and she does curve nicely. She gives good pep talks and she recognizes those working hard to do well. That saved me. :)
Dr. Nasir can be tough, but only because she wants the best for you & your future. Shes constantly there for you & tries her best for you to understand the material. We all know not to expect an easy A in A&P but in this class hard work doesnt go unnoticed. Textbook is not mandatory.
Dr. Nasir is very very blunt. She is always telling her students that she will work with the students if they work with her. In other words, she will meet you half way, but you have show you are really trying. She will not pass you because she likes you or to be nice. Her notes are organized and easy to understand. The book reinforces your notes.
Dr. Nasir is one of the best science teachers I have ever had! She outlines every lecture clearly and gives you the option to get extra credit points by answering questions in class, so come to class prepared. Her tests can be tough, but A&P is a weed-out class so it's to be expected. She will meet you halfway if she sees you putting in the work.
I had a very difficult time in this class. I did GREAT in A&P I (got an A). For me and others I spoke to in my class, she wasn't very clear. Her lectures do not reflect her notes. She does give a lot of curves but I rather learn than to get a "pretty" grade. Don't need the book just google. If you're willing to teach yourself go for it.
Dr. Nasir is an amazing professor who tries her best to cater to her students' academic and personal needs. She truly cares about her students and will work with you if you meet her halfway. Her class is discussion based. I would recommend reading the notes beforehand to get most out of the class. Would recommend her to anyone looking to learn
She is a pretty great professor. Don't buy the textbook; she provides lecture notes on blackboard and provides a link to the OpenStax textbook.I took her class in addition to UH courses and while it required studying (duh, it's anatomy), I learned a lot. The layout of her class prepares you for university workload. Would recommend!
Professor Nasir is a really good professor. She explains concepts to relate to them to use so we understand them better. She is also very accommodating. I was not able to attend her office hours because of work but she met with me during her own time to help me understand the material. Classroom environment is pretty chill. Love her!
Professor Nasir is a tough cookie, but if she sees that you are willing to work hard she will do her best to meet you half-way. Knowing the material is a must, but she gives up to 10 extra credit per exam if you answer questions during lecture. Very fair grader. Will keep you on your toes. If anatomy is your passion, this professor is for you. :)
While the class itself is really boring, Dr. Nasir is a great professor. She will explain everything in depth and really cares about her students. She gives 10 points extra credit on each test. Tests are multiple choice and there may or may not be short answers at the end. Pay attention, memorize her notes, and you'll get an A in the class.
Great Prof,Great Class but NO review! This is not an easy,fly-by course, shes not the easiest prof in H-town but still LOVE her! She's well-dressed & respected by students. Is definitely a hard cookie but truly inspiring! Want to learn & understand the material, take HER. Read ahead of time. Class is ques/ans based. Come to class with the handouts
Dr. Nasir is one of the best Professors I have taken here at San Jacinto college South. She is dedicated and loves her job. If you are a hard working student she will meet you halfway and help you out. This class is very interactive. I took it during the summer and it was the best.
Amazing teacher, really loves her students. She does provide bonus points for lecture (up to 10 points per test) based on class participation. She's a MD and very passionate about the class so be prepared to work. Everything you need to know is in the notes, but having the book won't hurt. She grades the standard 30% lab, 20% final, 50% lecture.
Dr. Nasir is the best professor I have ever had. She is tough on the surface, but she will open up for you if you meet her halfway. She gives extra credit on exams and makes her class expectations very clear. She is extremely knowledgable and inspiring. Her personality makes class interesting, funny, and something to look forward to. Take her.
She gives a lot of extra credit during lecture. Must print her notes and interact in class if you want extra credit. Lecture and Lab do not coincide. She's really cute and funny, such as great person and would/will take her again. Does not appreciate stupid questions but will help you understand if you're confused.
Harvey made it hard, class went through alot. She was going through it too,we sensed it. she kept it profesional&didnt let it affect students or class spirit. We love you Dr Nasir. This was the adifficult but memorable semester. keep doing what you do Dr. Hard class. Tough inspiring & beautiful prof. Lightens with humor. Must come prepared to class.
Best professor ever. She is very clear about what she expects from the students. Her classes are interested. She also gives extra points. She really do care about students. She always motivated us. Everything you need to know is on the notes, make sure to study them before class so you are ready.
Took Anatomy and Physiology. Loved the class, thought she was mean at first but near the end she was the nicest person ever. Lots of extra credit. Participate in class so she knows you're trying and she gives you a huge benefit on tests.
She is awesome!
She is awesome! Taking AP2 right now. She helps you learn in a way that makes you retain it. She doesnt put up with any bs & expects you to pull your own weight. She has reviews but theyre vague; better off making cards of the chapter notes. TAKE THE QUIZZES SHE GIVES ONLINE! She really does care about her students & their success! NO BOOK NEEDED.
For every question you answer in class you get a point on your exam (up to 10pts.) Tests are not hard at all if you know the material, but get ready to hear her rant a lot! She does not like complainers or slackers and she will call you out on it.
She prints out outlines for each chapter. All her test questions are from these outlines. The book isnt needed (except for the lab manual). The lectures can be boring, she likes to go off on long tangents. But just bear through them. As long as you do the work and study, she really will meet you halfway and help you understand and pass.
Dr. Nasir is the BEST professor I've had. She is extremely inspirational. You do not want to miss class and fall behind. Participation is a must if you want to receive points for your next test grade. Study if you want to pass!
I just finished professors Nasirs 5 week a&p2 course and I love her. She is an inspiration to me and makes me want to push harder become smarter. She is a great professor I would take her again if i could
Dr. Nasir is a great professor, I just love her. I would definitely take her again. I took her in a for AP2 in a 5 week summer semester. The class is not an easy class, but Dr Nasir is very encouraging she make you want to work hard to pass. She gives extra credit i suggest you do it because it does help.
Wonderful teacher! I just finished her class for 5wk summer and Im glad I took her class. Difficult lecture tests but she is very informative and lets you know what to expect. Participation is important and extra credit is given so that helps. Come to class prepared and you will be fine. She is caring and hilarious and will help you if you need it.
Dr. Nasir comes off as rude and intimidating in the beginning, but by the end of her class, you find she truly cares about her students. I took her for a 10 wk summer class and it was difficult, but if you take advantage of the extra credit getting a good grade is not hard! She has 4 lecture tests and 3 lab tests. Everything is from her notes.
I just took Dr Nasirs 5wk a&p2 which is not an easy class.I looked forward to spending 5 hours a day learning about anatomy anyways!! She brought such a positive environment when she walked in the room and made a personal connection with each of her students. I worked really hard and did all the extra credit and got the grade I wanted! TAKE HER!!!
Dr. Nasir comes off as scary and intimidating at first but it is only tough love, she just wants her students to come to class prepared. Book is rarely used, but do the reading assignments she will check you! She truly loves her students and helps them every way she can. Very hilarious and gives you lots of breaks to eat and study for class.
She was a good teacher could come off as rude at times. Grades hard, it did involve a lot of learning on our own. Test were not straight from notes the reviews were just knowing the whole chapter. Took this class for a 10 week and it was a really hard class. She offers extra credit but does not answer questions or lets you take pictures of notes.
Dr. Nasir is probably one of the best professors I've ever had. She made anatomy fun and was hilarious to boot. She's so knowledgeable and inspirational! The class itself is very difficult and she does not 'baby' students but will meet them halfway. Be prepared to come prepared. I would definitely take her class again
Professor Nasir is by far one of the best professors I have ever taken. She made A&P2 fun & enjoyable. Class is open discussion & I thought I would hate it, especially since you have to talk for participation points. However, I grew to love it and it made me study more which paid off in the end. She is hilarious and has your best interest in Mind.
Dr. Nasir is an EXCELLENT professor and has her students best interest at heart. She is a TOUGH professor and holds you accountable. She really challenges you to work hard but she wants all of her students to SUCCEED. At first she may seem a bit intimidating but you will leave this class better than how you started. Made an A but I WORKED for it.
Professor Nasir is an awesome professor I have ever met. She never reads the PowerPoint to us in the class, but she let all students get involved with her. It is an effective teaching method and make the this course less boring. She cares about her students to succeed and she does push every student study hard, and be prepared in her class.
Amazing Professor, very clear and understanding over the lectures and labs. Makes time outside of class. Asked a lot of questions in lectures and answer them correctly you will get bonus points for exams (utmost 10). She is hilarious and outgoing. The lecture notes she gives does help out for the exams. Be utmostly prepared for lab practicals.
Dr. Nasir was not a good professor. Her lectures were not clear or organized and in lab she barely explained what she was doing. She is also often late to class and when in class she wastes a lot of time. She also yells at her students like were children and makes you feel stupid for asking questions. Do yourself a favor and take someone else
Really loved AP 2 with Doc Nasir this semester! She was funny to boot and related class material to outside concepts which helped with learning comprehension! Doc is readily available outside of her office hours because I was working during that time. She really helped me throughout the course of the semester. 10/10 would recommend
Nasir is a kind an funny. Although she gets irritated easily and will lecture the class when she is mad. She is Always late so get use to it. At times she will ONLY teach 30 minutes and send you home. Test are easy, 5-15 extra credit pts on each test. She does not really teach, it it mainly her asking questions to the class. I wished I learned more
You basically have to teach yourself the chapter before coming to class. Class is like a review session for the chapter. You have to be VERY independent if not you WILL NOT do good in this professors class.
In all honesty if you fail her its because you arent trying or maybe you are too overwhelmed she gives a lot of extra credit. Her notes are pretty straight forward and she reviews with you for the test. She is a really motivating person and believes in each one of her students even if they dont believe in themselves.
Overall, Dr. Nasir is an amazing professor and will also take a motherly role for her students. She makes sure that the environment inside her class is great and even asks how our day/weekend was before she begins the lecture. She may come across a bit harsh at first, but becomes very easy to like.
She's the sweetest teacher ever guys. She's not just a teacher, but an inspiration to every student. She cares for you, you will get a better grade. She gives 10 extra credit in each lecture exams. She doesn't let you down at all, take her!!!
Professor Nasir is a great professor. She is very communicative, if you have any questions just ask her. She provides the outline of pages of the information you should be reading and studying. Tests are a little challenging but if you know your readings then you'll be good.
DONT take her at all! She is late to class every single time at least 20 min late and then takes another 15 min to get started. So unorganized. During this pandemic class got moved online and I missed an exam because I was unaware of the date and she didn't give me a chance to retake. So rude and in person is so boring & gave no extra credit!!
She is a very helpful and understanding professor! She cares about her students and will try to help as much as she can. She also gives extra credit and has a good sense of humor. Would def take again!
Dont take her online. She never lectured and just gave us the notes. She accidentally curved my grade down from a B+ to a C and then when I emailed her she still gave me 1 less point than what was my actual grade while she curved my classmates grade up from a c to A. She would also mark questions wrong and claim she gave me the points back.
When the class moved to online, it was a god send. She is great in lab and going over materiel since it's from the lab manual. Lecture were terrible. She spend the first half gossiping and then it was followed by her lecturing in circles. She gives you a checklist for each exam but not everything is mentioned. She'll put anything on the exam.
Dr. Nasir is a great professor. During this COVID-19 crisis, I was a little worried about classes moving online but Dr. Nasir was there, encouraging all of us. She really stepped up to accommodate us and volunteered to tutor me one on one outside of her designated office hours. She explains concepts really well. Great professor and great person!
The BEST professor I've ever had. Most students taking her class are trying to get into nursing school. I took her for A&P 2 for a 5 week mini and it was the best teacher I've had my entire education. Currently I'm in my last semester of nursing school and I think about Dr Nasirs impact daily. She'll get u ready for the hell that is nursing school.
If you are taking AP2 because you want to get into Nursing, and if you are looking for an "easy" professor because you are too lazy, please select another career, because i wouldn't want a lazy person taking care of me if need be. Anyways, she truly is caring and i never thought id say that about someone. It is tough but she will help you, trust!!!
Alright y'all I literally just took this class and just fyi-- If you are working and taking her class online due to covid, you better be good at time management. She only opens a quiz/test for 24 hrs which is not fair for people who work full time since it is an online class and we have a life outside of school. She's nice but grades&quizzes HEAVY
I took this class online and I knew it was going to be tough but I felt like her wording on her exams were a bit off and didn't match her notes. She was nice to me when it came to emailing her. If you are expecting to take something easy this class is not the one.
If you want an easy A, don't take this. But she truly cares about her students and she's fun to hang out with (even online). Her wording can be confusing on quizzes/tests, though. But when I brought up my concerns, she saw that my answers were correct and gave me the credit. Just do your best and be open with her. She's respectful of her students.
Dr. Sheema Nasir is a good professor, just not a great one. I am really sad that I did not get to take her in person because I think she had a better rap for on-campus classes. This class (A&P I) was HARD. So much memorization and Dr. Nasir is not very clear on her instructions/what she wants. Her lectures are full of rambling. Would not take again
She doesn't show up to lecture online. You have to watch videos of her rambling. Her tests are ALWAYS worded weird and confusing. Somethings tested on were never gone over. She allows people to cheat, even when you tell her about them. Super nice though. quizzes almost weekly. Few case studies. She's an easy grader.
She is a really good teacher. I took her online and attendance wasn't mandatory, so I never went to class. I definitely took this class into my own hands and I learned a lot from the material she supplied the class. I recommend her, but if you have a hard time teaching yourself, maybe don't take her class.
great professor. does not grade hard
Amazing professor! I took a 5 week mini and she took out some of the homework to make the workload easier on us! We are graded by quizzes, exams, and the signature assignment. The only hard portion are the lab exams, but a little extra studying will suffice. TRUST ME - take this professor! SUPER SWEET!
This professor only shows up for class for about 30 minutes and then dips. Her lectures are pretty much just her rambling on about how people need to participate and study 6 hours a day for her class. Why would we participate in a class the prof doesnt even participate in? While the work load is easy, it doesnt match the lectures given.
Prof. Nasir doesn't care about her class and she is unprepared. She comes like 20 min late only to give a class of less than 30 min, plus she does not explain in detail any topic, she just reads from a powerpoint. If u want to learn the material for your HESI exam , you should get another professor! Save your money and protect your mental health :
Dr. Nasir is an amazing professor and you can really tell that she cares for her students. She always responded to my emails promptly and was very considerate about personal circumstances due to COVID. She was always fair and made sure that everyone had equitable opportunity to do well in her course. 10/10 recommend!
I had Professor Nasir for AP 1 and I will be taking her again for AP 2. Quite simply, she herself is the bomb. com and really goes out of her way to help her students. There's no way to simplify anatomy and physiology but she worked with us to help understand all the moving parts and put it all together. She really is a gem!
Omg Doc Nasir is hilarious to boot! She makes rather dry and painful course material fun. There is a lot of work though and you need to stay on top of the lectures to complete the weekly quizzes. It's not easy but definitely doable. She makes you work for it but if you're taking AP 2 for the medical field, this is a good preparation.
She just gets online to explain what you need to read for the week. Testing was horrible. The only good thing was extra credit opportunities.
Dr. Nasir is the best! I'm taking her for AP I right now and she is so kind and willing to help, especially when you're going through a lot. This semester has been really tough for me personally and Dr. Nasir has gone out of her way to be supportive and work with me. The class itself does have a lot of material but it's manageable. Highly recommend
Prof. Nasir is extraordinary at explaining in depth of material. She seems strict but has a big heart! She is all about equality and takes account of the student's opinion in making sure everyone succeeds. She emphasizes that effort and studying matters! She goes out of her way to give multiple resources. The handout is useful! Use flashcards!
I took Dr.Nasir for Biology, her back story was very inspirational. Her lectures are very engaging, her positive hilarious attitude made me excited to go to class every day. Although the class material is very rigorous, Dr.Nasir always helps explain the difficult concepts, you are in need of help with. I will defiantly be taking A&P with Dr.Nasir!
Dr. Nasir was amazing! She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and genuinely cares about your success in her class. Although she teaches a lot of unecessary information, she was very helpful and understanding and would do whatever she could to help you succeed. I will be taking her again for AP2!
Very sweet professor. Very empathic. If you provide feedback to her, she will be sure to fix it as soon as possible. I look forward to attending her biology classes every other day. She is by far the best professor I've ever had. I don't know about other reviews, but please trust me when I say this: you are in great hands with this professor.
Insanely difficult. Her lab tests are all a picture of something, "what's this?" and a box for you to fill in your answer. You will be teaching yourself everything. Her lectures are just her reading the PowerPoint word for word. You will have to know not just the bones and muscles, but every process/foramen/ridge/fossa on every bone.
Her video lectures give the best information for the quizzes and tests. There is a quiz every week. I think it would be an easier class to do in person. Do your notes in advance and study. This is a naturally hard class with a lot of material. She is a generous grader and gives many extra credit opportunities.
I would highly highly recommend professor Nasir! she is the most sweetest and generous professor ever.If you need this class as a pre req for a program I would definitely take her!
Dr.Nasir was the most caring professor I've ever had!! She will go out of her way to ensure your success in A&P!
understanding and cares a lot about the subject and her students. had to put lecture videos to 1.5x speed but clear information and she goes over the steps of difficult processes within a topic very specifically. would definitely take her again.
Doc Nasir is probably one of the nicest professors I've had @ SJC. As long as you show up & ask questions during class, she works with you to help you get the grade you want and deserve. I enjoyed the class because she takes time to get to know students and translates course material so even us non-science-savy students can understand it
One of the nicest and most caring professors ever! Works with you as best as she can, communicates clearly and in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend. Love her!
Take her if you can, she is amazing! She truly cares about her students and wants them to do well. I took her for a 5 week mini-mester and ended the class with an A. Trust me when I tell you, if you want a good grade, take her! She will do everything in her power to help you succeed. I would take her again if I could!
Amazing Proffesor took her for AP1 and Ap2 during 5 week summer minis and received an A on both classes. I would take her again if I could.
Professor Nasir is fantastic - she really cares about her students and their success. While the course has a lot of content, she breaks it down clearly. unstuck ai was a huge help for studying and practice. Definitely recommend taking her class.
I took this class during the summer and that may have she been some of the problem. However taking this course it relied on you being able to self teach. This professor just read of the slides and did not go into detail or explain what was needed. Also she was late to class most days. She was a good person just not a great teacher
Genuinely cares about students, their grades, & well being. gives extracredit so attend events she tell you UTMB,MD Anderson,STEM events. she's Easy.10-12 HW assignmet.4 Lec, 4 lab & 1 final. made A & worked for it. No book just ppt. answer ques in class & get extrapoints on exams. Labs are long. She keeps it interesting. respectful & likeable.
Professor Nassir was really amazing! She's one of the few professors I've had that answers emails on weekends. She actually cares about her students and takes the time to problem solve.
took Dr. Sheema in high school. wasn't focused then, barely passed. I'm back in school, want to sign for her AP1, it's full. Sign-up quick, her class fills fast. Provides personal notes, don't have to read book. Amazing lec. with real world ex, helped me understand concepts better. Highly recommend her. very kind & caring. Works with her students.
Best professor ever! One of the few who actually cares about her students as people and not just an enrollment statistic. Willing to accommodate when life starts life-ing and there's nothing you can do about it. I'll be taking her again for ap2 next semester
She is a nice person who offers a lot of extra credit, but the teaching itself is not there. You will need to self study the powerpoints and reviews. Most of the time she never teaches or lectures. Just talks to the students. In person was very pointless. Out of all the other professors I had no choice but to choose her. Decent class
DEFINETELY HANDS ON THE SWEETEST PROFESSOR EVER! She is very mindful of others. She makes sure you understand the material and does small zoom meetings if you need that extra hand! She has her due dates at a reasonable time frame. If you email her, she will get back to you at the end of the day. Assignments were always easy and fun to do!
Very nice and understanding lady, if you didn't get something you could always ask her and she gave great explanations.
Really enjoyed taking her for Bio this semester. She was funny and classes were always interesting. Lecture notes will save you in the class, so make sure to read up before exams. Labs were fine, nothing too crazy. Wish she taught Bio2 but may have to wait until I'm ready to take a and p.
She is super nice, cares about her students, and is willing to go above and beyond. She explains content very well and she is super knowledgeable about science.
Took this class as a dual credit student and the professor was always really nice and friendly. Was super funny and easy to talk to. Bio is a pretty easy subject and she definitely made the class enjoyable
Do not pick her as a professor!!
if you don't study you cant expect to pass this class. I did walk out with a C but that's because I didn't study to make anything higher. There are a good amount of assignments to pad your grade if you didn't do well on the tests. In fact the tests are worth the largest amount so if any extra credit is offered do it. But teacher was really nice.
Truly such a sweet and caring teacher. 4 lab and lecture tests plus the final. Quiz after every chapter online 10 questions 2 attempts. She reads from powerpoint and gives good examples and visuals but you truly do have to put in time and effort to pass this class.
Very lenient and understanding professor. Really cares for her students and gives MANY opportunities to pass her class. Probably one of the best professors I've ever had .
She is very caring and kind. This class had 4 lecture exams, 3 lab exams, 10 homwork assignments. She drops 1 lecture exam and 1 homework assignment. she provides notes and power points. book not needed. Neither diffclt nor easy just have to study but she will work with you. will take her again
Prof. Nasir was very helpful providing excellent power points and lecture materials. She also provides excellent review materials for the final. This class was difficult to complete online due the large amount of information but the professor made it understandable
Had to retake A&P 1 , and let me say Dr. Nasir was miles ahead of my last professor! This course is not easy, but she will make sure you have the resources to pass. Wish I could take her for A&P 2.
Pretty awesome professor. She really cares about us and spends time troubleshooting problems (both school and life related), Wish I could take her again but I'm graduating. Will definitely miss her
Best professor I have ever had. She is so supportive and does everything in her power to make sure you do well AND enjoy her class. One of the few professors who even bothered to learn my name, even in her VERY FULL lecture and labs. She is by far the only reason I have done so well this semester and will be taking her as my professor in any class.
Professor Nasir is a very quirky professor. She is truly hilarious, but she does get serious when it comes to the assignments. She really enjoys it when students engage during lecture & lab because it lets her know you understand the material. Everything on her syllabus & how that grades are broken down are pretty clear as well.
She's not an easy teacher but to be fair, AP isn't an easy subject. She did make it enjoyabe though. Lectures were always funny and she told jokes/stories to break up the monotony. Its much easier to learn when the professor doesn't read off the ppts, which she definitely doesn't. Enjoyed her class and her way of engaging students throughout.
She is very kind and interactive with her students. She explains the concepts fairly well and is willing to help her students accomplish high grades within the course by providing study guides prior to the exam.
Amazing professor! She values her students a lot and highly takes their grades in consideration. She enjoys engaging with students, so participation by answering her questions is encouraged.
Loved taking summer term with Dr. Nasir! She was super understanding and worked with me during a really tough health scare. She made sure I got the accommodations I needed and helped advocate for me, and more importantly, taught me how to advocate for myself. Really sweet woman who truly cares about her students. Would take her again if I could.
Online records are pretty good for lab and lecture. Hardest part of this class is that its a ton of material. Exams weren't too bad though. Professor is pretty nice and helpful though, so she works with you to make sure you understand what you need to do in order to improve performance on exams.
She's honestly great, she's super understanding and easy going, as long as you study your honestly good
Clear layout of the class and expectations. Caring and understanding. Get ready to memorize. Great professor. 10/10 would take again.
