Easy to understand....very straight forward!

Great professor!!! Very demanding and expects the best from his students! I will "never" look at the natural world the same way again!!! Thank You so much Dr. Ahmed!!!

Although he has an acent that is hard to understand at first, he is an excellent teacher. He is funny and extreemly helpful. I would reccomend him to anyone.
Great teacher, friendly and funny. Goes over material and concepts well.
This guy is horrible! 1.I can't hear him becasue he talks to low and 2. he doesn't speak english well. I had to get some one in the dorm to teach me.
If you sit in the front you can hear him but can't understand him, if you get to class too late and have to sit in the back don't bother staying because you wont be able to hear or understand anything he says. He just has too thick of an acent.
I love Dr. Ahmed!! He's funny and awesome! His tests are fair and not to hard, except when he puts true and false questions on them.
Dr. Ahmed made Organic Chemistry fun. He knows the material and enjoys teaching. His accent takes alittle getting used to but he tries to make sure that everyone understands. His tests are hard but fair. You get the grade that you deserve.
Cool ass teacher. Very funny and laid back. Taught the class well and kept up prepared
I think he is a great professor... he goes very slow and is very helpful. definetly take him. you may not like him at first but you will in the end
great professor
Excellent teacher. The notes you take in class are exactly what is on the test--so go to class. He's very straight forward, and knows his stuff. Best science teacher I've ever had, and I've had quite a few.
he is very boring, has strong accent that can be hard to understand. You must sit in the front if you wish to hear. At first hes good at explaining things, but as time goes on he does less explaining, and more problems on the board. Overall i would avoid taking him
He tried to fail me by saying I didn't pass a quiz, but as usual I have to prove him wrong. He can't speak English very well and he needs to lighten up a little bit.
He just writes problems on the board and won't explain them very well. His grading sucks.

Very good teacher. Explains things well. His notes are what the tests and quizzes are - so go to class.
The class will be very helpful if I decide to take any more chemistry classes, however I really didn't like the way it was set up with the required questions and achievment points.
He was boring and never would help me, even when I went to his office. His grading system sucks A LOT!
Awesome teacher for organic. I never understood anything with my organic 1 teacher but now i surprisingly understand everything.
He teaches mechanism which I like the most
Sets a good pace and is very clear; Doesn't complicate simple things, and concentrates on the concepts.
Many students complained about testing like required part etc., but that is not his fault, it is the system made by chemistry Department. I found his class interesting
very clear and straight to the point.
The grading on exams was really harsh. When in doubt show mechanisms. His speech isn't the best, with his accent it's a little hard to understand him with the way he pronounces stuff.Gives a lot of practice problems but doesn't help you with most of them.It was ok, but i'd look for an easier teacher.
Great professor!
I had Dr. Ahmed for both Ochem 1&2 and found him to be an excellent professor. He explained concepts with clarity and didn't try to trick you on exams. His classes are extremely well paced for a summer course and are not to difficult if you take good notes and answer all the problems he assigns.
I have never been treated more rudely by any other professor at this university. If you need help in his class, don't bother going to his office, he will only ridicule you and make you feel horrible. After asking for his help, he said that instead, to find another student to help me. I thought that's what professors got paid for. Don't take him!
He is one of the best teachers at this university. If you want to actually learn organic chemistry and don't want someone to just pass you and you have no idea as to what is going on take him. He explains everything in great detail and if you study and do homework there's no way you cannot do good unless you're completely retarded.
HORRIBLE!!! Doesn't help, gives no partial credit on tests, puts random things on tests he never went over. Avoid him at all costs! He is a bad teacher too!

Good teaching at first, but if you don't understand first thing you're out of luck. He operates on the philosophy that he has too many students and therefore shouldn't have to help any of them. He is exceptionally rude and conceited.
His class definately requires a lot of studying. You have to go to class because he takes attendance, and you can't miss a single day. Everything on the tests is taught in class, so you are better off studying notes than practing the homework problems he assigns. You have to keep up with this class or you will get too behind.
He knows his material, but it is sometimes hard to understand what he says in class. Sit in the front so you can hear him, and you will be fine. Don't get behind--it's easiest to put in a few hours a week so you can ask him questions well ahead of the tests.
Ahmed is an excellent teacher. You just have to sit in the front, because he doesn't talk very loud. He is by far the best Organic teacher. Attendance is required, but the test come from the notes, if it's not taught in class, then it's not in the notes. He is also a very helpful teacher.
This guy sucks
Hate him! He is a mean, terrible person who should no longer be allowed to teach organic. He gives special attention to boys and ignores girls. He purposely put the hardest questions on the final in order to trip ppl up. I HATE HIM and will never, ever take another class he teaches. and before u ask, i passed the class, so dont think im bitter
I like this class.
Hard class and he makes it harder. hard to understand and he makes it more confusing to learn. i don't recommend him.
His accent is ridicolous and this impaired my current cranial capabilities from enhancing the topic subject wth regard to my intercontinental knowledge
i will recommend it if u wanna learn great prof.
If you want to learn, not just grade, take his class
If you wanna LEARN, and not just pull off an easy grade, this is the guy for you. His class isn't a cakewalk, but you'll come out WAY ahead of the other Organic students - I mean, WAY ahead. Any Med/Pharmacy School pursuants should take him hands down.
Difficult
You don't want this guy. Not helpful, tests are very very difficult, his accent is tough to understand, and the grading is horrible. Take anyone but him
This guy sucks.
I like his method of teaching
Couldn't understand what he was saying. The tests were always hard for me. Pay attention to detail if you take this guy. study, study, study and pray.
He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. The tests are straight from the notes, he isn't the easiest, but you will definitely learn a lot. He is also hilarious, and he applies chem to things everyone knows about, like drinking haha.
Great teacher....not as hard as people say b/c he teaches it so well. I would recommend to anyone who cares anything about chemistry....Hoping he is scaling a little bit on the final though...
He is the worst teacher I have ever had. I just graduated from a tough major with summa****laude and now I have a D in this guys class. I have done everything to do my best but it is impossible, he purposely tries to trick you our of points on the tests. I did learn organic chemistry, but my grade doesn't reflect what I learned at all.
In order ot get a passing grade try to sit up front cause he is impossible to understand.
This guy sucked. His tests were killers and they weren't even graded fairly. He does teach pretty good but he doesn't help very much or seem to care. I wouldn't take him again.
Great Teacher
Organic is a tough subject, but he enjoys making it tougher. He seems to teach pretty well until you get to the test and NOTHING he talked about is on it. I bought two study guides, read the book, and still failed every test. I had a perfect 100 in the lab, so that I did learn the concepts. Avoid him if you can, because he will cause an F.
Funny, if you catch on to his sense of humor. But doesn't command alot of respect in the classroom so class can be annoying when it gets out of hand.
If you care learning organic, take him, but if you care just grade, take someone else.
Dr. Ahmed is the best organic teacher. That said, however, he is undeniably the hardest and intentionally tries to trick people on the exams. You will learn organic if you take him but your GPA may suffer from it. I'm doing well in the class, but I study A LOT. I feel confident that OrgoII will be easier having taken Ahmed.
Terrible, terrible, terrible! People says he teaches the best, but I've found the textbook to be a lot clearer than the way he teaches it. He talks faster than you can write so that makes it even more difficult. I would never take any of his classes ever again.
Horible teacher. He erases things before you have a chance to try to understand what he is writing and copy it down. I tried to learn as I was writing and it just screwed me over because he would erase it so fast and I would be left with blank spots all in my notes. The tests were nothing like what was learned in class.
Horrible teacher! He seems like he honestly wants you to fail. I took his class b/c I heard he was a good teacher, but dont fall for that. He can't teach and he tries to trip you up on the test by putting things on there that we didnt even talk about in class. Even if you have to wait till next semester, avoid taking him at all costs!
Save yourself the trouble and take somebody else like Penn or Wang.
Ahmed is a great Organic Chemistry teacher. He teaches you concepts during class and wants you to apply knowledge to a similar, yet not identical, situation on the test. People who are complaining are either not cut out for science or they simply don't pay attention. He doesn't spoon feed you information, you're in college now, use your brain!
He is the best teacher in chem 234
AMAZING professor...It's a hard class, but what organic class isnt? Go to class, TAKE NOTES, the tests come from the NOTES...you really dont have to open the book if you just listen to what he says...
Ahmed is a great teacher, although he is tough. Chem 233 seemed to be a little trickier, it's sort of a weed-out class for potential med. and pharm. students, than 234 but both courses are manageable. You learn everything extremely well. Listen, take notes, and participate in class and you will do fine.
He is a good teacher, but most people perceive him to be horrible. I learned a lot in his class, worked hard, and received an A. I recommend to any pre-med to take his class (including Chem 233).
Those who say he is a bad teacher do so because they received a bad grade. His tests come from the CONCEPTS seen in the notes. If you understand all your notes, you will do just fine, but be aware that you will rarely see a question that is "identicle" to one you've already done. They are similar. Best organic teacher at WVU. Study, study, study
There is no way to pass this class
He is really hard to understand!! His test are also very tricky. I learned a lot but avoid taking him if at all possible. Not much help during office hours
Dr. Ahmed's class is extremely good. That being said the tests are not easy but not impossible if you study. Would recommend if you want to learn the material with a better ability to apply it to other areas in chemistry.
Dr. Ahmed's class is extremely difficult. He expects you to know the material very well, so his tests are extremely complicated. Passing the class is possible as long as you STUDY, STUDY, STUDY. I would not recommend him to teach this class.
If you can get another instructor, do it!
good teacher but very hard
there is no doubt in my mind that organic chemistry is hard. He really teaches this class better than the other teachers here on campus. But because he teaches it so well he makes his test very hard. he will give you the curve balls expecting you to know every rule. overall he taught me a lot although my grade said otherwise
He is brillant, so of course his class will be difficult. However if your looking to get a high score on the organic section on the M-CAT take him, if your not heading in that education path... DONT take him because, it might lower your GPA
Dr. Ahmed is an absolute genius. His classes are hard, but that's what you have to expect with organic chemistry. If you have him you just have to understand you will be putting more effort into his class than almost any other in college so far. Do the homework, it helps. Amazing teacher and nice person.

You can not understand him.. all he ever says is NO TALK
Ahmed is amazing!!! At first his accent is hard to understand but he writes everything on the board! His exams aren't easy... it takes studying! Go to class, sit in the front (he'll help you up there), take it seriously & study your notes for exams & you're sure to get a good grade! He also has a great sense of humor! I definitely recommend Ahmed!
At first he is hard to understand, but you get used to it. He is so intelligent that sometimes he can talk over your head. When it comes down to it, he is amazing. Study your notes and you are sure to get a good grade. Going to class is a must tho! you cant miss a single class or you'll be lost.
Dr. Ahmed is a really great professor! He can be a little hard to understand at first, but if you give him a chance you will really like him! He explains things well and is always open for questions. Do not switch out just because you heard his English isn't well. You'll regret it!
He's very hard to understand, and his writing is sloppy so it's hard to figure out what he's talking about. The class itself is hard, but he does nothing to help make it easier. Barely use the textbook, attendance is taken everyday. I'm only getting a B because I remember everything from high school
If you want an A, look somewhere else. He's a little hard to understand and the class is tough.
Genious, extremely sharp and extremely creative. Frowns upon memorizing (but do it anyway, that's the only way to learn). DO NOT do the homework! Assigns too many irrelevant problems that do not help on tests at all. Study notes and check out the examples in the book, but do not do homework. Trust me I got an A and I'm usually an advocate of the hw
Ahmed is a solid teacher. His notes are great and help you learn. The first test is a breeze, but for the next two make sure you get an old exam to look at. They match up well. Thats really the key, get an old exam!!!!
He is really hard to understand. I wish I had gotten to make my own schedule that year because I never would have taken him. His tests were easy, though for some reason. He was nice enough, too. Class was boring and you have to be there.
a difficult teacher, but if you actually care about learning from this course, I recommend taking him. However, if you're just looking for an easy A, look elsewhere. If you do take him, do the homework (all of it, and then extra problems from the book); also, paying attention in class is a necessity.
Dr. Ahmed will make you work very hard, but if you're up for the challenge he will be one of the best professors you will ever have. Go to class, do the homework and study hard and you'll do great!
He is very sharp, has a quirky sense of humor, and is overall a very good teacher. If you study all the notes he gives you to a T then you will do fine on his tests. He is also very nice and helpful outside of class and will look at any descrepencies on exams.
He is a great teacher. Any who say otherwise do so because they likely didn't receive the grade they wanted. He presents it in a way that anyone can understand. Given that, organic must be practiced in addition to lectures to gain a good understanding. Good especially for people taking MCAT. He covers biochemistry which is not covered by others.
Such a great teacher. You need to be open to his accent, because it can be difficult to understand at first. If you aren't ignorant towards different cultures, you will do great. He is a brilliant teacher and explains everything thoroughly with many examples. If you do not pay attention and are disrespectful, he will know, don't let him fool you.
This professor was extremely difficult. I wouldn't recommend him to ANYONE. You can hardly understand him, his notes are unclear and he makes up his own English words. I got my grade because i taught myself from reading all the chapters in my book, going to the chem learning center and having my friends help me, he is a horrible professor.
Dr. Ahmed is extraordinarily bright, but is often very vague with his teachings. He has a good sense of humor, but is unwilling to help those that do not put forth an effort to study independently. An 'A' is not out of reach if you study and do the assigned problems. He isa very difficult professor. Take him if you want to learn the material well.
Dr. Ahmed is an EXTREMELY difficult professor. His accent is hard to understand and clarity is often poor. This course takes a lot of independent studying.
Great teacher. Presents all exam material in class.Once you get used to his accent, it is not too difficult to follow along. very interesting class and great at explaining complicated concepts. however, not a cakewalk
He keeps you interested throughout the lecture. Can be hard to understand. Difficult tests.
Dr. Ahmed was an very good professor. His tests were very difficult but everything on them was taught in the class. His accent can be very difficult to understand, but he writes everything he says on the board. I learned a lot from his class and would recommend him.
Dr. Ahmed is a really good teacher and he really loves Chemistry. He is hard to understand at first, but you get used to his accent. He hates it if you leave class early, and attendance is mandatory, but you should go anyway because even missing one lecture, it's hard to catch up. Labs are easy. Tests are difficult.
He does not teach, the material. If you read the textbook and go to class, you basically get more examples. I had solid B's on the two tests, but on the third I got a 39. There is now no way I'll get a B in the class, even though I read the book and did all, I repeat ALL the problems in the book. even though 70% of the class is failing no scale
Very straight foward about lecture material. Did a lot of demonstrations and worked out problems in class. As long as you took notes and listened you did fine.
He was a good prof
I want to tell other students that his class was awsome and very easy he was very nice.
