I took Dr. Benton's class and received an incorrect grade for midterms. She did not provide any updates at any point during the course. My Suitable grade showed I had an A but she gave me an F for midterm and said it was a glitch in the system. If I had to I would not take her course again.
Professor Benton, she really looks out for all her students and makes sure we have everything we need to succeed in the future.
She looks out for her students and has the best intentions, just listen to her and you will be fine.
I still couldn't tell you the point of this class. We don't learn anything but still receive grades.
Class is straight forward; do the suitable assignments and show up to class every day to hear the professor lecture all the time.
We never really talked out anything it was the same stuff all semester. Didn't learn anything from this class .

Professor Benton mostly talks all class and you just sit there for 50 minutes and listen. She kind of talks in circles about the same things. She opens for classroom discussions and appreciates interaction from her students. An easy A- just show up and do Suitable.
Overall Dr.Benton was very professional and held us to a high standard. Work load was fairly easy.

I learned absolutely nothing in her class, all she did was talk about the same thing over and over again every week for 50 mins straight. Though it was an easy A as long as you did the suitable assignments.
Her class isn't hard. Just be fully prepared to attend business events and have her lecture you about your attire a lot.
Dr. Benton loves you hear affirmations. They are good ways she starts her class. While teaching she uses the projector so you can see what she is explaining. You get to learn about different strategies to help you with your time here at North Carolina Agriculture and technology State University.

Dr. Benton is a mentor more instead of a professor. Her class is very easy and she just talks about success as a student every class time. She is intelligent and very caring. Willing to help where needed. Though I didn't learn much in her class, I did enjoy the conversations had.

We just go class and listen to her talk and has the easiest assignment mostly likely you will take a screenshot of something and submit it.
Dr. Benton is a great professor. She makes it clear how attendance, suitable, and attending campus events all make up our final grade. Dr. Benton encourages students to present themselves in the best way possible so that you can be successful. Although FRST 101 was only once a week, I enjoyed having her class my first semester of freshman year.
Overall Dr. Benton is great and she does expect nothing but the best from all of her students.
Dr. Benton is very caring towards her students,bt her expectationsare high, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. However, I sometimes feel as though my best isn't good enough. Don't get me wrong—she is an amazing person—but there are times when I feel like I'm disappointing her when she discusses her expectations for us as freshmen.
She definitely has high expectations for us as freshmen but that's a good thing. She wants to see the best from us and her lectures were definitely motivational in terms of how we should be viewing our future, both professionally and personally.

she never really got to any thing important because she just rambled the whole time about nothing she's very passionate so she comes off really strong but we didn't do much but sit the whole time its not a hard class at all just show up and listen. she also talks over the time class is over !!!!
I enjoyed taking Dr. Bentons' class. She held her students to a high standard and I really like that because it taught me to always do that. she was great a communication and she always made sure to send emails about upcoming events or changes within the class.

She is an excellent speaker, making complex concepts easy to understand. She doesn't tolerate nonsense and always strives for the best outcomes for her students. Her dedication and straightforward approach make her an outstanding educator.

Dr.Benton truly helps freshman business students work on their professional development and leadership skills. This course does require your full attention but it is 100% worth it!
Lots of lectures, but taking this class will force you to reflect on your life experiences, and make sure your future self is built into who you want them to be.
Dr.Benton is a good professor. The class is very lecture-heavy but very informative. Attendance will make or break your grade. She holds all her students to very high standards and genuinely wants us to succeed.
Dr. Benton holds her students accountable and does not have any room for nonsense at all! Doctor definitely has a tendency of talking about the same thing each class and she does not handle much of suitable (online assignments) but she wants the best for each of her students. Just show up to class, participate, and listen than you should pass.

Dr. Benton is very strict on dress code and phones in class. The class is overall easy. Dr. Benton can be a little repetitive especially if there are people doing something wrong she will make a lesson out of it.
If you listen and do what you are suppose to the class is easy and she wants you to wear professional clothing so be ready! The professor lets you know what you need to have to begin your journey into NCAT. She sets you up for a great beginning. She has answered questions in and out of class. She gives you opportunities to meet people and network!!
Dr. Benton shows that she cares about her students being successful in life, and she pushes her students to do so by telling us to go out there and network, and giving us tips that will help us. There's not that many professors/teachers out there that care about their students so I'm grateful for Dr. Benton.
Remember dress code and make sure to be in class on time.
She is very big on appearance, didn't really teach anything all of our work was on suitable but she still wanted you to come to class.

Dr. Benton is a great professor overall! She mainly discusses the importance of setting yourself apart as a Business student. She is not very tech savvy, though. Dr. Moore is more familiar with the actual coursework, which is on Suitable. The coursework, is very easy and accessible. Easiest A to earn in college!
I believe Dr. Benton is a good professor but just know she doesn't give any grace and doesn't play about attendance. She will probably talk about the same thing every class and it gets boring but it's an easy A.

Dr. Benton is an easy person to work with, but she really goes by the syllabus. So please read the syllabus, unlike I did. Do as I say and not as I do.
FRST with Dr. Benton is probably the easiest class you will take. Be sure to read the syllabus, show up to class on time and in business casual clothing, and stay up to date on your Suitable assignments and you should get an A.
She is very motivated, a great person to go to when you need that motivation to get work done. And also since you don't have a parent for help you can go to her as a parent figure.
I had the opportunity to take Dr. Benton for my business class this semester, and overall, it was a decent experience. Dr. Benton is a knowledgeable professor, and she really knows her stuff when it comes to business concepts. However, her teaching style involves a lot of talking, which can sometimes feel a overwhelming.

She teaches you things that you can apply to your life In present times. As well as she constantly gives us opportunities to be excel at A&T.
The class itself is easy and you can do all the work on a app on your phone. She has high expectations, gives good and real advice on how to be successful at A&T, and has connections for many opportunities. Dr Benton FRST 101 was a waste of time unfortunately the suitable act was a breeze once I figured out what I needed to do. Going to class and listen to her fuss was not helpful and she doesn't respond to emails ever. I had to get help from other people in the department regarding questions with suitable assignments.

To be completely honest she is not the WORST teacher ever. However, during lectures she does not talk about much and does bash many students when it comes to simple mistakes. It can at times make people feel discouraged rather than uplifted.

Dr. Benton is a nice person. She prepares you for what's expected of you as a student at the Deese College of Business and Finance. As far as the assignments she didn't use blackboard to remind us of the work we had due. Her lectures were about what to wear, how you should present yourself to your professors, and just basic professionalism.
Although a lot of things are repeated in class, it is clear Dr. Benton just wants the best for her students and she will give you more than enough opportunities for networking. The work given is relatively easy to where anyone can pass and attendance is MANDATORY for a decent grade in the class (she will make that known during the semester!).

Talks a lot, the lectures were kind of random about half-way through the semester. The second half of this course felt irritatingly repetitive. Attendance is mandatory and collected at the beginning of class, being ever 5 minutes late will result in a tardy which is worth less attendance points. Assignments are on suitable and relatively easy.
She will talk a lot about the same things but she means well and her lectures have helped me to think about my future in college and how making connections are important.

Attendance is definitely mandatory, it is 40% of your grade. My only issue with Dr. Benton's teaching is the fact that class became repetitive once we got to the halfway point of the semester. This class can easily improve if there is an agenda for each in class, not an impromptu lecture every week.

Overall, Professor Benton was a nice and pleasant professor. You could tell she cared about the students and was passionate about her job. The class was repetitive and seemed like there wasn't a clear agenda for each lecture, but I'm still grateful for the push she gave me to keep going and the reminder that I am here to graduate and not slack.
