I found Dr. Cheesman a great teacher and I reccommend him to anyone.
He makes alot of "chessy" jokes, and can sometimes push it to nearly offensive. He also has a tendency to tell some pretty tall tales, like giving someone an emergency trachiotomy, I mean come on now, but he is a good teacher and pretty entert
I really enjoyed Dr. Cheeseman's calss. He does tell some "cheesy" jokes and sometimes can be kind of offensive but overall a great professor. He makes studying for his tests simple by giving you an easy study guide to follow.
He is quite tough..but always willing to help...you take his class when you want to learn. Also his sense of humor is oddly funny...I recommend him
He's a dirty old man, but I like it. He treats class as equals. Can be very funny, says quite a few obscene things. But, all in all is the best science teacher I ever had, especially in a tougher subject.
He is a very good teacher. I would recommend him to anybody. He teaches very clearly and very fairly. He makes funny jokes, so class is fun. He is wonderful, take him for Anatomy!!!!
I took Dr. Cheeseman for Anatomy 1 and I really enjoyed it. He took a difficult subject and made it fun. He provides everything you need to make a good grade, you just have to study for tests and listen in class. I highly recomend him.
Dr. Cheesman is the BEST. Very helpful, makes anatomy fun and easy. I took him for anatomy I and I am taking him again in Fall. I recommend him highly.
This is a great teacher.
very easy
Great teacher! He is very helpful. I got an A. I wish he was teaching Microbiology.
very good professor
Dr. Cheeseman rocks! Highly Recommended! Take him if you want to learn & get an understanding of A&P. He gives all the notes u need and tells u exactly what is on the exams :)
dr cheeseman is the best teacher in the world! he makes a/p easy to understand, if you are willing to listen and take notes. great teacher over all
Dr. Cheeseman rocks! I took someone else for anat 1 and didn't learn anything. I took him for 2 and learned so much! He is very helpful. I got a B when I really should've got a C. thanks to him! Take him for Anatomy! You will learn a lot! Definately worth your money.
I love this man! He breaks down the subject so that you really understand it, and he even gives you notes. As long as you study and pay attention you should do well.
he is the best. i was failing a prev teacher and i had to drop her class i didnt understand anything and had a F so i dropped it and i heard about prof cheeseman and he is the greatest and made class interesting and was pretty flexible and i passed his class with a B+.
Dr.Cheeseman is the best teacher at FCCJ. I tell everyone to take his class. He's tells funny jokes that relate to the class. If you failed his class something is seriously wrong w/you. Thank you Dr.Cheeseman for explaining things in laymans terms & for being so patient.
Great teacher.I recommend him to everyone, his class is not difficult. The only way you can fail is if your lazy.
He's a easy A. He has an attitude and singles you out if he doesn't like you. A real ****. I hate him.
Dr. Cheeseman is the GOLD STANDARD for college science professors providing a solid education for both pre-med and allied health students. Even though you MUST STUDY HARD in his class to EARN an 'A' grade, I'd much rather put in the additional time to really learn human anatomy from him. Take Dr.C!
Dr. Cheeseman is a good prof, but he was very unorganized. kinda helter skelter. i still dont really know how i got an A in his class. STUDY HARD and pay close attention to lectures. go to class, he gives u a test grade for att. if A&P is a rec then hes ur man, otherwise find another science...
great professor, keeps class/labs interesting. can have some pretty sexual jokes at times but all in all he made class throughout the semester a fun one. make sure you study because you can't breeze through it and get A's. Need to put your nose in the books to get the good grade in his class.
Dr. Cheeseman is awesome! If you work hard it will pay off. I would reccomend him any day of the week!
He is a hilarious professor. Made the class a lot of fun.
Glad to hear he got the full-time position at Downtown campus. FCCJ is very lucky to have an instructor of his quality and caliber after he spent so long as an adjunct. Not an easy class but you will learn the stuff you need!
He is an ok teacher. He does know his stuff, but his mind seriously is always in the gutter.Thinks way to much in the deep end of the mind.Sometimes his sarcasim can in doubt hurt people feelings. His study guide is all about memory. You have to study or you will never get it.
He's so freakin' cool. I just got out of his class. We disected eyeballs. He's clear on what material is going to be covered and he gives everyone a copy of his notes. I would reccommend him to anybody required to take this course. His mind is in the gutter though. Especially when talking about reproduction. Good humor is good for the soul. He rock
Professor Cheeseman is a great Professor. I would recommend him to anyone. He will work with you to try to make sure you pass. He gives you notes and goes over everything that will be on the test. You do have to study, but he does, at least, let you know what to study, which is great. He is very nice.
He is very nice and clear, funny and semihard. There is lots of material to cover but study the handouts and write good notes and you will pass. He is cool and very intelligent.
gives hands outs- take notes on hand outs and study-gives opp for extra credit, and tests are mutiple choice, matching, and diagrams- he's a funny teacher, makes it interesting
Dr. Cheeseman is awesome. He is hillarious and makes the class fun. He gives out great handouts and goes over them thoroughly. You have to study though if you want to pass this class. A & P is a lot of info.
Very good prof. need to study 2 pass. I learned a lot and i knew i could do better but im sure im passing. hes really cool. All i got to say is STUDY STUDY AND DID I MENTION STUDDDDDDDDDDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
Good professor. You have to study. He is very helpful. No homework. Labs, but no test or worksheets behind them. STUDY!
Professor Cheeseman is a great teacher! It thorough and clear in his teachings. Pay attention to his lectures and presentations. You do have to earn your A. You have to study the material!! No homework just tests!
Dr. Cheeseman is the best professor. There is no homework...just tests. He is thorough and very clear.Study the materials and notes that are given. Pay attention in class to his lectures and things he puts on the board. Mostly likely to appear on test. Study,Study, study hard and you will do well. I made a B in both of his classes. I recommend him.
HE IS THE BEST AP TEACHER EVER, HE IS SO MUCH FUN HE ALWAYS TRY TO MAKE THE SUBJECT MATTER INTERESTING, U DONT USE THE BOOK THAT MUCH PRIMARILY HANDOUTS, NO HOMEWORK, AND TEST REVIEW HE DROPS THE LOWEST TEST GRADE, OH AND GET THIS ATTENDANCE COUNTS AS A TEST GRADE, HE EVEN GIVES U A TEST REVIEW ON EXACTLY WHATS GONNA BE ON THE TEST....TAKE HIM
The Cheeseman! Wow, what an awesome teacher! Who thought that AP II could be that much fun and you learned so much! Like other ppl have said, your attendance counts as a test grade, he drops your lowest score, no hmw, ALOT of study time needed and alot of fun is expected! TAKE HIM
Dr. Cheesemen is GREAT he teaches exactly what you need to know. He gives great notes and no homework, but read your chapters and take notes especially if he repeats things over. Don't make him mad or there will be a POP QUIZ. FULL OF LIFE AND A WONDERFUl TEACHER. I made an A in his class just laugh at his jokes and you will do great. STUDY
He is the best professor at F.C.C.J. He explains everything that you need to know to pass his class. I took him for A&P I & II. I recieved an A in both classes and I am not a very good test taker.
One of the best teachers I have ever had!! I had for a&p 1 and 2... Study his review and I really did not use for book! Do the extra credit this class was a easy A!!!Laugh at his jokes... He is all around great.. very helpful!!!!
Great guy who makes his class easy. I passed his AP I & II classes with an A & B, but COULDN'T MAKE IT INTO ANY NURSING PROGRAMS. Thanks for nothing...!!!
He was great and very funny! the class is hard but he made it easy but u still ahve to work hard!
Dr Cheesman is a great A&P teacher. He really tries hard to make a difficult subject easy to understand. I didn't take him for A&P 1, (I took santa claus steven myers (I don't suggest that you take myers)) Cheesman is very good at giving you everything you need to know in order to understand the material and do well on the tests. AWESOME TEACHER!!
Dr. Cheeseman is a great professor. If you how up to class, participate, & study for the tests you'll do great!I took him for A&P I & II and got A's in both classes. EASY LABS- no lab reports :) His jokes are kinda lame- but he can be funny! TAKE HIM- YOU WON"T REGRET IT!!!!
I took Dr. Cheeseman for A&P I & II, made A's both terms. He gives out his notes & reviews what's on your next test, answers questions in class. Funny & helpful, labs were easy. Attendance counts as grade & he does'nt like people being tardy. Extra credit is optional.
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS PROFESSOR! YOU HAVE TO STUDY YOUR NOTES. HE'S HILARIOUS! I HAD HIM FOR A&P 1 ALSO. HE EVEN GIVES YOU CREDIT FOR ATTENDANCE! THE BEST PROFESSOR AT FCCJ FOR A&P 1 AND 2. HE REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF! THANKS DR. CHEESEMAN!!!!!!!!
If you don't pass this class, you don't belong in the healthcare field. He gives you all the material you need to pass. Go to every class, read your book, study the guide and review and you'll do very well. This is not a class for the lazy, it's not easy. If you want really want to learn about your profession, take this class!!!
Dr.Cheeseman's class was great. I recommend that anyone who has to take A&P 1 and 2 take both classes with him. He's not interested in making his students suffer to pass his class. He just wants to make sure that everyone has a chance to learn, and so long as you study the notes he gives you, you'll pass every test.
what I like the most was that he also gives the clinical applications of all the theory...
As a business major, the last class one would take is A&P, but after having to take it twice I'm glad I did.I can honestly say that he knows how to keep ur attention by telling u the interesting things 1st so u can remember the boring that goes along w/it.His humor is different&his dr. stories R funny.I actually remember something after the class
dr. cheeseman is one of the best teachers i have ever had. he is very interesting and funny, but i think one of the best things is i actually remember the things that he teaches
I loved his class! He is funny and makes text more interesting. Lab was always fun. He counts attendance as a test grade, so make sure you show up! Tests are based on study guides. It was an easy A for me!
If you want to take a class where you're going to learn something, take Dr. Cheeseman. He gives you all the material you need to pass his class. Attendance is a test grade. I highly recommend him to everyone! I took him for A&PI & A&PII and got an A in both. If you don't pass his class, you didn't study.
He is a tough professor but if you want to learn something and really retain it take him! He is tough on spelling to. He really is a great professor though! One of the best I've ever had. Hard to think about Anatomy though because he is so FREAKIN HOT! His wife is one lucky girl!
He is great! If you do not pass with an A or B you simply did not study. His reviews are AWESOME! Will tell you exactly what is on the test :o) Again, if you didn't do well.....YOUR OWN FAULT!
The college is truly blessed to have Dr. Cheeseman as a member of faculty. I could not find anything to critique of my two semesters as his student. You will learn in a vibrant and supportive environment. Dr. Cheeseman is entirely accessible and encouraging. Wonderful study guides provided, and extra credit opportunities abound.
Very good class if you take the time to study then there is no reason for you not to get a passing grade. I got an "A" in his class but I also studied for his test. If you need help in his class all you have to do is ask for it.
Being a former doctor in practice, he has great knowledge and personal experiences. Does not stress over the little things, just the big picture. Reviews the class before what will be on the next test. Gives handouts & study guides. Extra credit offered on few 3 or 4 occassions. Spelling counts, sometimes. Very lenient! Always curves! LOVE HIM!
Dr. Cheeseman is an amazing Anatomy and Physiology professor. I took him for A&P I and II. I highly recommend him! He makes you love the course and want to learn more. He's also pretty funny too. If you don't pass, it's your fault.
Excellent teacher!! Wants all students to do well in his class. If you fail, it is because you did not listen, did not come to class or did not study for tests.
He is a WONDERFUL teacher! I took him for A & P 1 and 2 and would recommend him to anyone! (he was recommended to me too) I work fulltime and it was work the hassell at work to take him! If you don't pass, you didn't even open your book or ears~
Dr. Cheeseman is the worst ever...I have taken numerous college classes at FCCJ and UNF and graduated from them both. I even finished a LPN nursing program and have never encountered a worse teacher. Our class started out with about 30 students; now about 9 remain in the class...IdK who said his study guides and sheets help....I disagree
Dr Cheeseman is a great teacher! He keeps the class interesting, gives out an outline for each chapter and also reviews it and goes over what is going to be on the test. This is not an easy course and you need to study and be in class to understand the material. I already registered for bsc2086 for the summer with him, I highly recommend him.
Dr. Cheeseman was a great professor and kept the class interested and fun with stories from his days of medical practice as well as his jokes. He gives sheets to study by, which allows you for the most part to skip the textbook. Also, gave opportunities for extra credit.
Great professor you fail if you dont try gives study guides and gives you every chance to make it also drops two lowest test graded
Took Dr. cheeseman for A7P 1 and 2. He is a great teacher. Wants everyone to "get it" He gives you study guides for the test. I taped his reveiws which help me tremendously. This is not a fluff course. You have to study. If you do, you can get an A. I did!
Dr. Cheeseman was an excellent teacher. Took him for A&P2 and he was very fair. Come to class and study and you will succeed. Take notes and study his guides and it's a definate A or B.!
I don't like that his jokes are some times offensive! His test are to hard, you have to "critically think" to pass his tests, he is a good instructor, but those tests will kick your butt!
currently enrolled in Dr. Cheeseman's class. Okay individual but not a good teacher. His test are EXTREMELY difficult. If u don't have a firm foundation in science, DON'T TAKE CLASS! No extra credit, very few HW assignments, 6 tests& 1 HUGE final. No way to bump up grade, if u do poorly on test :( Gives useless chapter guides-don't align w/ test.
Very crude...can be funny but goes too far sometimes. Wish he would break things down. Anatomy is difficult alone & it would have been nice if he transferred his knowledge at a level where one could understand. Have a 4.0 GPA but this class has brought it down. If you are not good at memorizing or science, PLEASE take with another professor.
you cant go wrong with hime. he is very helpful and will take the time to make sure you understand the material. he makes you want to learn and think. before taking this class with him i just wanted to pass it. by the end all i really want to do was learn it hands down and be a better student. you rockk Dr. Cheeseman and thank you.
I am warning you to be very careful when taking Professor Cheeseman. He is a good person but he is not a great teacher. His grading system makes no sense!!!!You think you have an A and he tells you that you have a C. He gives no study guides and barely any homework assignments. I had 4.0 and I barely got an A- in his class. I studied my butt off.
Mr. Cheeseman is an excellent professor, also VERY funny & easy going! A&P 1 or 2 is a difficult course to take, but Mr. Cheeseman makes it more understandable and doesn't expect you to know the intricate details of the material! If you show up to class and study you will pass his class with an A. I highly suggest taking him, HE IS AWESOME!!!
Signed up to take Dr.cheeseman for A&P 1 and was not disappointed. All of his lectures are from a powerpoint and he gives hand-outs, which are very helpful to study prior to a test. Personally did not use the book very much but it is encouraged. Wished his classes weren't full to take him for A&P 2.
Although I received an A in this class, Dr. Cheeseman's is the worst professor I have ever had. Being knowledgeable is not synonymous with being a good teacher. There are not enough characters allowed to thoroughly support my claim. I receive straight A's and have NEVER bad-mouthed a professor before, but he is the worst. FIND ANOTHER PROFESSOR.
Cheeseman taught his classes through lectures on powerpoints with typed up detailed info about 3-7 pages long. He made me feel very uncomfortable in class with inappropriate jokes that caused the class to cringe and feel awkward. His tests are no joke and you must learn all bones and many muscles and fill them in from memory. Challenging class.
This professor was one of the worst I have taken. He is downright inappropriate at times. I already have a good understanding of the subject matter and I still got a B. Take a different teacher.
Horrible teacher. He goes way too fast in class and all he does is put notes up on power point and reads it from there. He says he is there if you need any help, but in all honesty he is not. Also, hes tests can range from 60-95 questions
Each class is basically taking notes from a extremely wordy powerpoint, no assignments. The effort you put into this class reflects on your grade. Studying for the testslabs is a must because they can be pretty difficult.
Anatomy can not be handed to you. You attend lectures, take good notes, and study hard. 6 tests including a lab and lecture for each. Drops lowest of each. Not many other assignments so study for tests. Attendance counts for grade. It's a long class of reading off powerpoint, but the material is interesting and he is well educated and experienced.
I love, love, love Dr. Cheeseman. He is also a medical doctor and his personal knowledge helps! He is a great lecturer and he is caring. His jokes are comical, the people complaining on here need to not take things personally! As the difficulty for the course, yes it's hard, but if you take notes and read the chapters, you'll do great. Made an A
Great teacher!!! Anatomy is hard but gives you a chance to pass it. His reviews before the test are very helpful. Overall easy A IF YOU ATTEND ALL LECTURES AND PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. Love this professor and would take him again if he taught other science classes.
Easy A if you study, pay attention, and don't skip class. If you cannot commit to this class then you shouldn't be going for the medical field. He is a doctor who knows a lot. Take advantage. Definitely study on your own though. If you work hard you will get an A! Take his class! Showing up to class is 10% of your grade, so don't miss class.
Don't bother taking this class unless you dedicate A LOT of time to studying and self-teaching. Lectures are long and boring, drops lowest test grade but the tests are HARD. Regretted taking this professor knowing there was better out there. Anatomy itself is hard, but I didn't think he made it any better.
i thought he was really cool i deffinatly enjoyed his class i feel alseep a couple of times though. but still pretty easy his test are easy just study theres nothing to it just a couple of terms. gives you all the power points
I really enjoyed taking AP 1 with Dr. Cheeseman! If you pay attention and put away enough time to study the class is an easy A. He is very relaxed and makes learning fun. Would definitely recommend taking his class.
Extremely intelligent professor, retired MD, actually. Be ready to pay attention to extensive lectures and to take pages of notes each class. Show up or ship out. 3 major exams worth 25 % each and they aren't easy. Make sure you read the book and notes in entirety, what he says won't will be on the test WILL BE. Study four hours on end to pass!
Interesting lectures, but the problem is that his exam questions do not match his lectures! He will tell you to understand basic concepts and then questions are very specific. I would say only half of the exam matches what he teaches. I studied and am in the medical field and couldn't score higher than a C on an exam and they are worth so much!
Amazing teacher. I sincerely enjoyed his lectures, even though they were usual dense with a lot of note taking. The lecture exams were easy and worth a lot of points. The lab exams were much harder but if you sufficiently studied for them, they were easy. Would definitely recommend taking him, and he is hilarious.
LOTS of note taking & studying outside of class. Class time consists of lectures & occasional lab. Gives extra credit options on each test. Don't miss class or you'll fall behind. Managed to get a "B" but got an "A" in Anat/Phys 1. Definitely had to work much harder to pass, but learned so much that will benefit anyone going into the medical field.
Anatomy is a challenging course with lots of information for a short period of time but Professor Cheeseman makes it fun and interesting with personal stories and an amusing sense of humor to keep your attention. Would definitely suggest studying on your own through quizlet it saved me.
He's a great intro to college teacher, and if he teachers A&P2, it would be a good idea to grab his class on your schedule. He is very thorough. A&P is not an easy class to begin with so it's not a good idea to slack off. As long as you listen, take notes, and do the packets he gives you before those lectures, everything will make sense. Funny too
His lectures never seem to end, and we didn't really do any labs. I feel like I was not going to be prepared for A&P 2 so I stopped showing up (which I realize is a BAD idea don't do it) and am retaking it with a different professor this semester. Again, please don't take this class if you don't want to hear him go on tangents all the time.
Honest review from an honest student: Cheeseman is a solid professor but be warned, he isn't the "easiest" professor out there. He is primarily lecture based and your grade in the class is based off of what you make on your exams. Lectures go hand in hand with exams. If you work hard, read, and study (even on a basic level) you will surely get an A
I took both courses with this professor. I did not enjoy the time i spent in this class. His lectures go on forever to a point you lose focus. Your whole grade is based on tests, so if you are not a strong test taker do not take him. He also changes the format of every test so you never really know exactly what to study. Would not recommend.
Honestly he is a funny person . But class wise if you are not a strong test taker avoid him at ALL COST! I had him for AP 1 hated it but no one else taught AP 2 over the summer term so I had no choice. Very unclear on what would be on test and study guides rarely match up to test.
I don't see how he could have made the class any easier without just giving us free grades. 6 lab tests (matching) and 6 lecture tests (multiple choice and 1 or 2 free response for extra credit). They are long tests but cover exactly what he covers in his lectures. His lectures can be long but he is funny sometimes. Funny guy, great class.
Dr. Cheeseman was really interesting. He was actually a medical doctor so he really knows his stuff. He had lots of good stories.
While I didn't enjoy his lectures so much as he does ramble sometimes, he is very informative. Your grade will be all tests, but study the material, read the book and do his handouts, you'll be fine. I got an A but worked my butt off for it. Also, he drops your lowest test and lab score.
AMAZING! Made the course come to life, was easy to understand and follow. Make sure you take good notes, & if you have any questions to ask them don't be shy about it. He's a really good professor overall.
Ill keep it simple, if you are a good test taker you'll do fine. He does not give any quiz or labs for graded work. Your final grade is based on how you do on the exams and exams only!
I wasn't a fan at first but as the semester went on I ended up really liking him. 5 exams and a cumulative final but he drops your lowest exam grade, no homework. Some of his reviews are spot on and some you'll have to really study for on your own. Most students just don't like putting in the work it takes. Read the book, you'll be fine! Got an A.
Professor was great and had stories to tell to break up the lectures. He makes his own test and use trick wording to make sure that you comprehend the chapters. Only highlight from the slides he discusses, study that for the tests and you will be fine. Watch out for information on test 1 being on another test, then again this is higher education
If youre a good test taker, then this class will be easy to pass. Grade is based off of 6 exams, with the lowest one dropped. He gives out a lot of extra credit on your exams. He only teaches what he will test on, so as long as you pay attention to the lecture and study, tests are pretty easy.
90% of your grade is tests. He's really funny and enjoyable as a teacher, but there's a lot to take in during the class. Hard stuff. Recommend if you can pay attention and study study study.
He is an entertaining professor. His lectures go way more in depth than what will be on the test. He goes over whats going to be on the test the class before and he will sometimes hand out study guides. Theres very minimal extra credit and grades are based on 6 exams but he drops the lowest score. There is no final. Study and you WILL get an A.
Great professor and actually makes learning A&P enjoyable. He's hilarious and is always telling stories related to what is being taught. 90% of your grade is exams and 10% is attendance but he goes over the information that is on each exam and gives extra credit.
This is a lecture heavy and test graded only class ; however, he does let you drop the lowest test grade. You'll need a book, at least in the past 3 years, and you have to attend class because of the amount of information lectured. Nothing is online. He's decently funny and provides extra help for those that REQUEST help. He's a great one!
This is a GEM of a man. He is a retired doctor-dry sense of humor and makes the lectures hilarious and interesting. I have learned a lot from him and taken him twice. No homework, 6 exams and he drops your lowest grade. Made Bs in both classes. Not easy but doable. Make sure you study the lecture notes and slides he posts for each test.
I would not take this professor again! There is a good amount of material that he does not cover that is on the exams. There is a good amount of material in the lecture that wont even be on the exam and you will study it for nothing. Would not recommend!
While this was a difficult class with a lot of memorization and studying required it was a good one. No homework, test and labs only and you drop your 2 worst grades. Final was a take home test. He makes everything clear and easy to study providing you with the PowerPoints as well as his own lecture notes. Funny dude too. Occasional extra credit.
Superb professor! He genuinely loves teaching Anatomy (and knows it by heart). The class is a no-stress environment and he implements humor especially if it's a talkative class. Lots of tests, that may sound intimidating, but it actually allows you to really focus on the material and the tests without having to worry about homework. Learned a lot!
Professor C or Dr. C is such a great Professor. His class is engaging he would try to connect the class into certain scenarios that are not out of the topic. You would enjoy him with his jokes. His grading scale is kinda scary the test is 90% of the grade and the 10% is your attendance. But if you do all the work and study you will pass the class.
Dr. C was overall an amazing teacher for me. You'll need to already have some sort of background knowledge before you join his class, however. He's very test heavy because those are the only things he assigns. Does not offer extra credit, but gives us thorough study guides before each test.
Dr. Cheeseman was amazing! Your grade is attendance and 6 tests. He drops your lowest test grade. Although his tests arent easy, he gives a very thorough review the class before each test. Show up to class and soak up as much as you can.
Do not take this professor. Knowledgeable about the topic of AP, but the amount of sexual, misogynistic, & inappropriate comments he makes, is uncomfortable & distracts me from learning. Class is exam heavy. He goes over a lot of material without outlining specific topics in exams. I'm never sure what exactly to study for. Take another professor.
You bareley leave a full comment. Tuff teacher. Interesting to learn from. Class is kind of high anxiety on how to perform. He specific on some things but other things he isnt. Wish he graded homework. but he is nice but honestly this class is just tuff in general.
He is a good Professor. He can joke a lot which can take up some time and throw you behind a little. His tests are easy and straight to the point. He allows some tests to be taken home. No homework. Just make sure you study because there are a lot of trick questions on the test. He was an overall good teacher.
If you are a good self-teacher, you'll do fine. Diagram heavy, memorization comes w the territory in anatomy, this class prioritizes memorization over understanding. Felt frequently uncomfortable in this class due to sexist, political, sexual, dark jokes made by prof, some so jarring it would be hard to regain focus on material after he said them.
Dr. C is a great professor and emphasize the importance of forming study groups since anatomy and physiology is a memory-based subject and is important if you're going into the medical field. He includes a lot of personal work experience and gives lots of advice if we go into nursing.
Had Dr. C the second time with A&P 2. I had an emergency near end of the term and Dr. C was very understanding and allowed me to reschedule my testing to take in the assessment center. You have to be a self-learner otherwise, try to form a study group. Anatomy & physiology is difficult but is useful.
The whole class is memorization based. The grade is based on the tests and he curves them and drops the lowest test grade. The class is boring but decent professor.
A memorization-heavy class, but the professor makes it manageable. Tests are the main assessment, with the lowest one dropped and opportunities for extra credit. Using resources like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and PowerPoints can help with prep.
