Prof Huggins knows his stuff..impressive and so smart! He is funny, down to earth and makes the class enjoyable. We watched films, videos, wrote a paper and the group projects were the best!He is very demanding but respectful and thoughtful to all students. If you want to learn French, I couldn't think of a better Prof. The best at CUNY!

I took 3 semesters of French (yes, 3) with Prof Huggins and it was an incredible journey. Actually, most of the class followed him to the upper levels. Warm, charming and makes learning so much fun. Watch out, he's very demanding, but worth it!

I took a French 101 course with Prof Huggins only because I heard good things about him. What a great prof who actually cares! Lazy students will complain. I learned so much in one semester and did really well in his course but I worked my butt off. I agree, he is VERY demanding and there's no easy A with this guy!

Mr Huggins is more than great,I learned so much that I don't know how to describe him.

Mr Huggins enabled students to hear and speak french in an acceptable manner.Huggins gave me courage, he encouraged me to beleive in my capacities to make my writing better which made fight for higher grade. He is more than great.

Very few professors' teaching skills have had an impact on me. Prof. Huggins' Fren 101/102 is an immersion class but as he taught, French became accessible. While the class mandated hours of studying, studying IS a necessity when learning any language. Classes where rich in french culture and history. Expect to walk away having learned something.

I cant even explain how much i learned from this one class. Studying is key. Once you study class would be a breeze. Learning French becomes easy when you start from the bottom and work you way up. You will walk away feeling like a pro French student. Mr. Huggins is the best.

I studied with Prof Huggins and wow, it was a lot of work. Quizzes, exams, orals, reading, listening exercises, films.. But this is a prof who cares and is patient with all students. Oh and his stories are so funny but always have a point culturally. The best French prof ever..by far.

Ok, so I looked at the comments posted and I couldn't agree more. One semester with Prof Huggins made a world of difference to me. He gave me so much confidence to learn the language. This prof is passionate about what he does and it shows. Oh and his French?..it's hard to believe he's American!Great course.

Prof. Huggins is a GREAT professor. Kind, helpful and most importantly he is fair. If you are willing to work and actually want to learn French, he's the guy that will bend over backwards just so you can learn a new language. The work is fair,and grading is also fair. I would MOST definitely take Huggins again! He's enthusiastic and it helps LOADS!

Professor Huggins is a great teacher. He encouraged all students to do well in class and at the same time challenged you to do great. He's also a professor on whom one can rely on to give good advice and support even after one has finished with the class.

He was a very proffessional proffesor. I wish he could be my full tme proffesor because he really is charismatic, inspiring and no matter he has such motivation that really motivates others to love the course we are taking...which was french. I liked when he would let us participate and make us verbally practice the language.I really admire him.

I transferred into York and took a semester of French with Prof Huggins. I had dropped the course with another prof. I learned so much and still can't believe that did I so well, yeah you have to work hard and study. But I survived his course taught entirely in French and don't regret it! What a cool and caring professor.

Professor Huggins is the best professor that I ever had at Medgar Evers. I am horrible with languages but he put me right at ease from the get go. He was patient and supportive, he listened to any and all my concerns and addressed them. He worked us hard and the results was worth it. I initially took 101 with him and followed him to 102.

Prof. Huggins was great teacher. After taking my first French class at another school, I was discouraged to continue learning French. However, Professor Huggins made learning the French language a great experience. He challenges his students to do their best and helps them out every step of the way.

This professor makes learning exciting. He can talk about paint drying and make it interesting..so dynamic and cool.I worked hard, followed his instructions, and I did well. He doesn't questions ever left hanging and makes things simple. How does he know all this stuff?? He's also friendly, warm and cares. We need more professors like him.

One of the best, if not the best language professor at CUNY. He is patient and kind and goes out of the way to help the students and answer every question. I really enjoyed his class as much as it was a lot of work. But I never expected to learn so much about the language and culture in one semester I would take him again.

Excellent professor. May seem kinda intimidating at the beginning. But he is a gentleman, respectful and doesn't talk down to his students like some profs. Very fair grader. Films, youtube, videos, group projects, so class was never boring. Before you know it, yuh speakin' and understandin French. The class was sad when the semester ended.

I took 101 with Prof Huggins last semester. I didn't think I'd survive. He is patient and takes the time to explain and break things down and make them even more simple when anyone looks confused. My section was upset he wasn't teaching 102! We love him! Great class, great guy!

Prof Huggins has a reputation for being tough but great so I decided to register for his course. It was the BEST class I had ALL semester. Yup, a lot of work, but I don't regret it. I learned so much. He is da bomb!

Prof Huggins is cool. He rocks! He loves his job and is so easy to talk to. I enjoyed his course. I did'nt think I do well at the begining but I sweated and studied and did well. I recomend him to everyone.

I absolutely loved him! He was scary the first day, but he was so happy about the language that it rubbed off on everyone else. He can be really tough but means well, definitely has you speaking and loving French by the end of the semester. So upset that I don't have him for 102.

I studied French with Prof Huggins last semester and while he is tough and demanding, you couldn't find a more caring, respectful and understanding prof. His standards are high so you must be prepared for class and work hard. I too was upset he wasn't teaching 102!! We miss you!

This is not a prof for lazy students. If you're not prepared to work, give it up. He is excellent. I took 101 with him and most of the class followed him to 102. Again, great course. I spent an entire year studying with him, and it was well worth it! He is such a great guy and will work with you if you show a serious interest in learning. The best!

The best professor ever! I wish I could have him for all my classes. Those who are negative about him are just lazy students who don't like to do the work. People this is college; don't come to class pretending that you are in high school or just for a financial aid check. No easy passing with Prof Huggins. But at the end, worth it!

Prof Huggins is a great professor. he is very tough but its always worth it at the end. I only took him for 102 and it wasnt so easy but it gets better later on; this is because he helps you get better. Also always come to class prepared and work hard...trust me, it helps. you would be smilling by the end of the semester.

Prof Huggins is the bomb! He's got a PhD from Yale and extremely over-qualifed for basic French, but he has a real passion for teaching. One of the only courses I took in undergrad that balances so well the essential aspect of fun with the important bi-product of learning :) if you want to speak french, this is your man!

He is an outstanding professor considerably the best professor I've had at MedgarEversCollege thus far. Unlike some professors he actually cares about his students and pushes them to strive for greatness. I would recommend him to anyone.

I took French 101 and 102 with Professor Huggins, and while he may seem intimdating at first, there is a method to his madness. He is definitely qualified as a teacher and as a linguist and it was a pleasure to be taught by him...I learned a lot. He is EXTREMELY intelligent.

Prof Huggins makes learning enjoyable. One of the few profs who lectures and teaches without notes. He is very organized and comes up with all sorts of references and examples to make things clearer. I studied with him for a year in FR101/102. While he is demanding and tough, he is an EXCELLENT professor who loves teaching. I had a great year. You have to work and prepare for class. Otherwise stay home and chill in da hood.

My absolutely most favorite professor EVER. At first his method of immersion may seem intimidating but it is VERY VERY good. I am truly saddened that he won't be teaching 102 next semester as I was looking forward to having him as a professor in 102. Very attentive and thorough professor, A semester well spent.

A very caring and supporting professor. My favorite at CUNY! The class is taught entirely in French, but you learn to speak, read and write the language because of his immersion method. Very funny and warm guy but can be strict at times! Work and you won't regret it!

Professor Huggins will push you to learn and succeed in French. I definitely recommend this professor, because he teaches like no other. His teaching style is quite fun and entertaining. Heavily dense course, but he prepares you for the assignments and exams IN TIME. Not a class for the lazy and failure is not an option in his class!!!!

I took Spanish (101 & 102) with Prof Huggins at MEC and French with him as an elective. I couldn't have asked for a better prof in both languages. He's tough but very encouraging, and a nice guy! THE BEST!!!
