I actually would pay attention and learned something in there.

Her lectures are very structured, Only two short two page papers due. Extra cedit offered. Pretty simple class

I loved this class. Great professor very interesting not boring. Exam questions were out of the book and the study guide.

I had a wonderful experience in Dr. Kroupa's class. You can tell she legitimately cares about the profession and the students learning experience. I found her lectures to be intellectually stimulating and she has a very efficient and well organized lecture style. She makes the information interesting. The lectures were so interesting, and I learned a lot from this class. The prof. was very clear and knew the material very well. She also had a lot of stories from her own experience to tie into lectures that made the material more practical. I would recommend her.

Hands down the best psychology teacher ever. Very pleasant, not busy work. Only possible issue is if you despise power points. But she is still entertaining. Easy and fair grader.

Good lecturer, makes small group activities to try to help us with memorization/understanding of material. For B104, she did very little besides lecture. The TA did most of the grading and technical stuff. Missed only 1 lecture (2pts) b/c of sickness and I finished the class 1pt away from an "A".

I love her as a professor, but I thought that the class was really hard.

She's alright. If you take notes in class and read the book, you should be able to keep up and get a decent grade. I wouldn't mind taking a class with her again, but she's not my favorite professor I've had either.

Pretty good teacher, she was really fair and organized. Lectures were a little on the boring side however. I usually just sat in class on my computer, and did the homeworks later. The tests are over information straight from the book/homework. I pulled off an A. Super easy.

Dr. Kroupa is a great professor! She is a little obsessed with making sure people don't think her class is an easy A just because she is a woman; however, she does well presenting the material. The book is a must-have! The extra credit assignments she gives are actually interesting to complete!

Professor Kroupa really knows her stuff. Definitely make flashcards as you read. The tests are based on the reading, so as you study make sure you spend a lot of time on the book. Interesting and useful course. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice, clear professor. I wouldn't recommend skipping a ton of lectures but going to every single one is not necessarily needed. The quizzes are pretty easy and the final is semi-optional. The lectures are slightly boring if you understand the material easily, but if you struggle at all she takes the time to be very clear and break it down.

Her lectures are very interesting. She doesn't require you to show up to lectures but she also doesn't post her slides online and the information is much needed for the tests. I recommend finding a buddy to swap notes with if you miss class. When you do have to write papers she breaks it down into simple guidelines that she expects.

Love this professor! She makes lectures interesting. Though she doesn't require you to come to class, I always did, since I personally thought lectures were fun and they helped me remember concepts for the test. The exams were composed from the book, but most of the concepts were covered in her lectures. Would definitely take her again!

Dr. Kroupa is a great professor. Lectures are interesting and engaging. Will definitely get an A as long as you are keeping up with the material. Would definitely recommend her and any of her classes!

I have taken multiple classes with her. She is a really good professor and is willing to help if you need it. Reading the text is essential for passing the class and so is attendance

Dr. Kroupa is an amazing and wonderful teacher, but her quizzes are based on her lectures, and the tests have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with her lectures and even if you take notes with the book and read it, it's really hard. She never answers her emails but loves to talk in class. I have very mixed feelings.

I love Professor Kroupa! In her syllabus she sounds mean but once you meet her, you'll see she's the sweetest person ever! Her class is tough and you really need to pay attention. Like any other psych test, it is hard and seems impossible to pass but you really need to read the book.

Dr. Kroupa is probably among my favorite psychology professors at IUPUI, and I've had at least a half dozen. She's extremely knowledgeable about what she's teaching and has real passion for it. I had her lecture at 9am which I thought I'd hate, but her lectures are very engaging and even fun to listen to. I highly recommend her class!

Great lectures - clear and engaging. Very organized so it's really easy to understand what she expects of you. She doesn't take attendance but your grade will suffer if you skip class too much. Lifespan Development (the subject of the class I took from her) is her area of expertise. She's also really kind and personable. Kroupa is the whole package

Dr. Kroupa is super enthusiastic about what she teaches. Lectures are interesting but she doesn't put anything online so its crucial that you go to class. Quizzes are over lecture material only and the exams are created strictly from the text book. She is sometimes hard to get ahold of. There's a ton of reading for this class. 2 papers.

Love this professor!! Earned an A- on every exam by making flash cards of the end of chapter review material. Make sure to attend the optional exam study reviews because they give away a lot of exam questions. Wish I would've done the extra credit because it would've helped me earn an A instead of an A-.

Amazing teacher. Took her for 310 and 203. For 310 the quizzes are over her lectures so go to class. For the test, they are only over the book so you need to read the chapters. She always helps you when you need it and is great at explaining. Never be afraid to ask questions. I recommend Dr. Kroupa for every class you can take with her!

Kroupa is all about in class participation. As long as you show up, do the in class work, and pay attention during the lectures (make sure to take notes, they're really useful), then you're golden. PS: the textbook isn't used for assignments, but was helpful for studying.

Her class was pretty easy and as long as you show up and take notes you'll pass. You get 5 points a day for showing up to class and doing the in-class assignment.

Very clear and very good at presenting. Knows the material very well. Her class is pretty easy, there aren't any long papers that are required, and there's no final exam. Instead she requires a "coming out" experience which pushes you to try new things. This class was pretty easy and didn't require much time spent on assignments or studying.

I enjoyed professor Kroupa. She is a very kind person, and she knows her subjects well. Her lectures are not too long, but there is a lot of group work. She is very organized and understanding. The class itself is not hard at all, very much about common sense.

Dr. Kroupa is fantastic and I learned SO MUCH in life span development that will stick with me for a lifetime. When it came to the relationships unit, she spends equal time on gay and straight relationships; as a gay man, I was so happy to learn stuff that actually applied to me since sex-ed is typically one-sided. Take her class!

Loved her personally. The class itself was somewhat difficult just because quizzes are strictly over lectures and exams are over textbook material.. but as long as you go to class, study, and read the textbook you will be fine. She has extra credit papers that are super easy to do and will give you up to 10 extra points. Good grading criteria!

Dr. Kroupa is a great professor and all around lovely person. I've taken multiple classes with her and she's clear, concise, knowledgeable, fun, and most importantly, caring. It really shows how much she loves teaching and her students. Her classes aren't too hard but she won't just hand you a good grade. I would recommend any class with her.

She is very friendly and always willing to answer questions. The class is mainly her reading from the powerpoints she makes, but they are organized in a way where it is easy to take notes. She makes you talk to people around you, so be ready to be sociable. Very easy class to pass with an A, and pretty interesting too.

Go to class and read the material and it will be a breeze. She seems to care deeply about her students. Extra credit opportunities are easy and worth it... Get them done early and your life will be so much easier. Overall, I can't recommend her enough!

I took her for Psy310 & Psy203. I love this professor! Her lectures are great, the tests are easy because she gives you a study guide and quizlett, and it both classes, there's an easy final assignment rather than a final exam. There's 5 exams, but they're short and easy. She doesn't give almost any homework, and also gives extra credit. Love her!!

Having Dr. Kroupa as my Lifespan Development professor was a great choice! She is incredibly knowledgeable and wants her students to pass. Beware though, if you try to leave class early, she will call you out and tell you that you won't earn the points for the day. I didn't look at the book except before an exam, the exams are from her lectures.

Sweetest person in the world

Not much homework, so lectures are really important for exams. I found myself having to really study for exams and they tended to be content-heavy, but Kroupa is really there to help you do the best that you can. Her lectures point straight to the exam, so you're golden if you stay in class!

A total sweetheart of a woman and a pretty easy class. Participation matters, and show up for the extra credit days- brought my B+ to an A-! She doesn't post the slides, so be ready to take pictures or take thorough notes during the lecture. Vocab is big, quizlet will be your biggest and best study tool.

Dr. Kroupa gets right to the point in her lectures and if you attend, take notes, use her study guides and read the book a little, this class is an easy A. Very interesting class and was a great experience.

She comes prepared for her lectures. She definitely knows what she teaches. Also, on my final paper (& possibly everyone else's), the feedback she gave indicated that she actually read and thought about what I wrote. So that was relieving. My main criticism comes from the social justice stuff (i.e. citing the IAT without mentioning its problems).

LOVE HER!!!! Her class is so easy. Lots of extra credit, she gives detailed quizlets for exams, final paper is easiest thing Ive ever written. You dont even have to read the book. Theres no reason you shouldnt pass any of her classes. I recommend her for every class she teaches (Ive taken them all). I also was her TA and it was a great experience.

Dr. Kroupa is fantastic. The homework assignments are not difficult, you do one for each chapter and that can be a few a week. She gives up to 2 extra credit before each exam. The exams can be difficult, just study beforehand. There are 5 exams, 15 chapter assignments, 3 favorites analysis assignments. She drops lowest grades! Highly recommend her!

Great professor! Everything is relatively easy and very clear. As long as you do the work (which isn't too hard) you will pass with an A! She also does a lot of extra credit.

Super easy class with in-class opportunities to do homework. Takes COVID seriously and so she makes class attendance non-mandatory and puts literally everything online. Highly recommend her for B110 and any other psych course that she teaches.

Her tests are TOUGH. But she gives students every opportunity to learn in whatever way works best for them. Lecture notes provided after each class. Gives breaks from class to study and work on class assignments. Forgives one test grade. I learned a ton. She's a fantastic teacher. But you MUST do the reading and STUDY for tests.

Dr. Kroupa is amazing!!! She is one of my favorite professors and I plan to take another class with her in the spring. She is so nice and actually cares about her students. Her lectures are fun and easy to understand. She gives ample opportunity for extra credit and her exams are not hard and she gives a quizlet to study by.

I've taken numerous courses of Dr. Kroupa's and thoroughly enjoyed them all. She is empathetic, understanding, and presents information in interesting ways. She does use a traditional lecture-style, which I'm not always a fan of, but the lectures for this course were fascinating. HIGHLY recommend both this course and any of her courses.

Dr. Kroupa is one of the best professors the Psychology Dept has. While I don't usually like the traditional lecture-style of teaching, she presents information in as interesting ways as possible and it's very evident how much she cares for her students and their success. You can't go wrong with taking a course with Dr. Kroupa!

I really enjoyed taking Dr. Kroupa's Ethics and Diversity class. She is very passionate and kind. There is an assignment due every time there's a lecture, so there are a lot of assignments, but she goes over them in class with everyone so they're very simple. Reading the textbook isn't necessary but I highly recommend it when taking the exams.

Dr. Kroupa is a wonderful professor; however, her and I never saw eye-to-eye. I loved taking her summer course, because she explains a lot of information through her notes, but she is very test-heavy and it stressed me out. In my conversations with her, I always felt that she was envious, but she is a great listener who gave excellent advice.

Easy online class

dr kroupa is a great professor and her class was fairly easy. she really cares about her students and always offered extra credit. the quizzes were easy but the exams are kind of hard.

I thought her lectures were pretty good and she really was making sure that we all had a good chance of doing well in the class. The way she sets up her class for the students is very nice. Would highly recommend if you need to take an intro to psych class in person.

She seemed very nice and she was accessible and also had multiple TA's that could be emailed. All of her grading was done timely and I would love to take an in person class with her.

Dr. Kroupa created a fun and exciting environment to learn about psychology. The tests and quizzes were all pretty easy, and so is the final project. Just make sure that if you want to participate in a research study for credit that you start looking on SONA sooner rather than later.

Dr. Kroupa is a very kind and thoughtful professor. She does her best to make sure that all students have equal opportunities to do well, and this is reflected in the structure of her classes. Attending lectures and taking notes is essential, but there is barely any homework. Exams are online, assignments are completed independently in class.

Dr Kroupa is very knowledgeable and inclusive to her students. All exams were online, so you didn't go to class on exam days. Some students may not have access to their own laptop or Wi-Fi at home, so you could take the exam during your normal class time on campus. Also, the class before the exam day is a study day so you do not go to class. :)

Lowest assignments get dropped, lowest exam gets dropped, all exams are taken at home with open book. Class attendance is important and there is usually a small in-class assignment due at the end of every class.

Dr. Kroupa was a fantastic teacher. She lectured us a lot and strongly encouraged us to take notes, but they were very helpful for tests. Each day in class is relatively the same with the routine of taking notes and listening to her lecture. Overall an easy and fun class.

Dr. Kroupa was pretty good, her exams were online and open book. I highly recommend taking notes during class because everything during lecture is on the exam, so I would not recommend missing a day.
