This was her first time teaching a class by herself. Relly boring, did not make too much sence, tests were kinda hard. Lots of group work and she takes attendance which is part of your grade. All notes are on webct.
Class was one of the boringest classes I've ever had to take. She was very nice. Tests were pretty tough. I studied hard and got a B.
Nice teacher. Slides and study guides are on WebCT. Tests are a bit challenging.
Monica is one of the best teacher's I've ever had. She is so cool and really wants to help the students. She provides PowerPoint slides and really has a laid back teaching style. The tests are not too bad either, as long as you study everything on the study guide. I highly recommend this professor.
I showed up to class everyday, I participated, and got 2 A's on the tests and 1 B, and still got an B. She is a tough grader. She will not allow lazy work. Study for tests, thay can be a bit tricky.
This class was SOOO BORING! Mrs. Wang was difficult to understand and seemed to have a hard time answering questions. Tests were hard, she's a hard grader, and the group project was a pain. It was a miserable experience.
Going to class and reading the book might help you.
Dispite what others have written I really enjoyed this class and Prof. Wang. She was very nice, gave a good outline of what to study for on the exams, and the group project was not difficult. I would recommend her!
Good prof. has a PhD. There are 3 exams with 30-40 M/C questions fr. book & choice of 2 out of 3 essays fr. lectures & slides. Need scantron & calc. Study guides help & avail. online. Bring laptop, download slides & add to it during lectures. Text website sucks. Accepts projects early & gives feedback.Avoid working with slackers. Fairly easy class.
She is really nice and helpful. Her tests are extremely easy. The paper was a little lengthy so be picky in choosing your group. Overall great class.
The tests were worded weird but still pretty easy. She is hard as hell to understand but you do not really need to listen to her. She takes attendance which is the worst part because being in that class is so boring and annoying. Just use the book to do the study guides and your good. Slides do nothing
She is a pretty good teacher. Make attendance a must in her class. She keeps track of attendance most of the time and attendance is very important to her. As long as you study the material covered in class and from her study sheet you can get a B or better. Very nice lady.
Easy class, only 3 exams, attendance not mandatory, gives extra credits
Overall good professor. She is very helpful when it comes to reviews for exams. She is very reasonable by providing extra credit when the class doesn't do as well as she expected on the test. The tests are pretty straight forward. I'd recommend taking her class.
Terrific instructor. An asset to the university and teacher you want to take.
Fabulous teacher! She is great at leading class discussions and has very clear notes. The test actually contains items discussed in class.
I really enjoyed this class with Prof. Wang! Grade is based on 3 non-comprehensive tests, a group presentation (debate), & attendance. Book unnecessary. Tests based strictly on slides which she uploads on WebCampus (with blanks) Group presentation is not too hard. You choose your own groups so take with a friend =)
Pretty simple class. Very nice, professional instructor. Group project debate was fun and interesting, but her instructions could have been clearer. Choose team members carefully so you don't end up doing all the work.
Dr. Wang is a nice lady, but takes attendance on the worst days like the day before Spring Break starts. Make sure you go to class every day! Gives really comprehensive study guides. Tests are very straightforward.
Great professor! She knows her stuff, gets you involved in class discussions, and here's the most important part: everything you learn in class is on the exam! Her teaching methods along with her power points and study guides before each exam will help you pass with a decent grade (depending how much effort you put in studying).
Professor Wang makes HR management easy. She gives you a study guide with exactly what's going to be on the test. Outlines what you need to know from textbook. Keep the subject interesting. Nice lady!
Easiest Class ever. She makes a boring class interesting. She is a great lecturer and I never missed a class all semester. Shes a great teacher
She does everything possible to prepare you for the tests. She even makes a study guide for the class! Show up to class, create a detailed study guide, and you will be fine.
Get ready for true or false questions that even she says there isn't a definitive answer to. Hope you pick the right one cause the answer to every question or topic in this class is "depends."
Great Professor! Keep good notes, attend lectures, and you will pass.
Nice lady but very boring class. Four exams, the final is noncumulative and she gives a study guide for each exam. She does offer extra credit, and takes attendance on the most random days. The only good thing is that there were no homework nor quizzes!
Actually study information given in study guides and you will get As on all the tests. Very basic informational class. Only used textbook for extra credit and study guides.
Fairly straightforward class! Attendance isn't mandatory but a large portion of the exams are based on lecture material. I really enjoyed Wang's lectures though. She sends out a study guide. Use both lecture material and the textbook (can be found in the library) to THOROUGHLY fill it out and you'll pass with an A.
I loved taking this class. Prof was very clear, there were no surprises on the exam. I feel like she was very fair and gave clear explanations. Extra credit is given. Be sure to show up to class and do the study guide for the exams.
Her accent is kind of hard to understand. Overall would be an easy class but her tests are worded weird. Does give extra credit. Probably wouldn't take her unless she was the only teacher left. Really study for the tests.
The material is not very difficult. The lectures are painfully boring. Her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. Tests are multiple choice with a few short essays. I would not take this professor again. Skip class and study the guides she provides before each exam. You will not learn anything from her lectures.
Super nice lady, but you won't learn anything on her lectures. Painfully boring, and basically reads off the slides. Heavy accent. Skip class and just read the book and the study materials she posts online. There are few small extra credit opportunities, but not enough to make up for a bad test grade, so make sure you study!
She is one of my favorite professors! I always did well. She gives study guides, which tells you what you must read from the book and 80% of her exam is lecture! Tests you must study the study guide (she has about 40 multiple choice & conceptual essay type or regular questions.) You should do great if you just study/understand concepts. )
Very intelligent (in a 170-student auditorium, she had some names memorized by the 3rd class). She's very knowledgeable and encourages respectful, concise class discussion. Read the material, pay attention, and participate you just might learn something. Highly recommend!
easy class. the test are based on a study guide she gives you its like 85 percent of the test, the rest is from the lecture so pay attention and from the assignments she gives out. theres a few assignments but its based on effort and you can work with a partner. dont bother buying the book just borrow it before the test date and skim it
4 exams, various extra credit opportunities, & 3 assignments. That is your grade. The tests are extremely difficult, I am not going to lie. It's a difficult class because the information is so dull & boring. Short answer responses required for tests. She is a very sweet lady though, cares about her students' success.
Dr. Wang's instructions were super clear. She sent out email reminders every time before homwork was due. Also kept us updated with extra credit opportunities. Exams were relevant to lectures. Study guides for exams were availabe. Textbook was only used for homework, which could be found at the library.
Really great instructor; she really tries to get to know her students, so participate for those extra brownie points with E.C. assignments. She grades HW on participation, so even if you're wrong, she'll still give you credit. She tests on what's covered in class, and doesn't upload all slides, so make sure you attend to get all the info!
I recommend Professor Wang. Kind, funny lectures, and extra credit everywhere! Tests are hard in my opinion, expecially the second exam so study hard, not an easy A
Wang is a great professor. Very knowledgeable about Human Resource Management. You should always attend because she gives answers to test questions only during lecture. Also, she gives out extra credit assignments and if you attend class after the exam she gives out extra credit as well. Read the book, follow her study guides and you will do well
Heavy Accent Professor that uses examples from the book, but the meaning gets easily lost in transition. Students are constantly confused, getting upset at discrimination examples; you hardly learn anything in-class. Get ready to read since confusion will eat up most of the class-time. Turn-in HW & Extra Credit Online. PowerPoint notes are online.
She is great! nuff said. Never have I had such a well laid out class. If you go to class easy B, if you also do all the homework and extra credit easy A
She really is not that bad of a professor. It is kind of funny when the students start to argue with each other about some examples, like discrimination. She gives extra credit after every exam.
She is a great professor! Pretty simple class. Here is how I got an A. Go to class, you don't want to miss information she doesn't put on the online slides. Trust me, you will lose a lot of points on the exam if you don't go. Study slides, they have the answers to the written parts of the exams. Do study guide, tells you what to read on the book
Clear grading criteria, and tests are fine.
Great Professor. Lectures on very relevant material. Class discussions, exams are a based a lot on her lectures, so I wouldn't miss too many classes. She provides study guides prior to each exam - KNOW THAT MATERIAL. Book isn't used much except for discussion projects. Prof Wang is very nice. Gives some extra credit & curves 1-2 points/ some exams.
She is a great professor! The material is not super interesting but she helps make it more enjoyable by including funny videos and mini exercises to help better understand the material. She also has a good sense of humor!
I loved this teacher. She's very nice, caring, and wants you to succeed. I really enjoyed the class; maybe i'm a little biased because this is what I'm majoring in, but this was the only class I wouldn't fall asleep in. She is teaching another course that I need so I made sure I was in her class since I like her teaching style. Def recommend.
Prof. Wang is very caring and nice. My review may be tainted by my general disinterest in HR, however, I found it challenging to generate the motivation needed to learn the content we covered. Class consisted of 3 multiple choice exams, 2 homework assignments, and 1 group project with a presentation.
Very nice lady. There are 3 tests which are easy if you study slides, handouts, and the book. She gives a study guide which helps a lot. There is also one main big project. Pick a good group. At the end you need to give a presentation which isn't hard at all. Say something at least once a class so she knows your name!
Easy class. Provides you with a study guide and extra credit. Homework is graded by creativity which isn't hard. The only con is that she has an accent but its not bad you can still understand her.
Dr. Wang is the kind of professor who wants to see all her students succeed. Her tests are not too difficult, just go to the classes, take good notes, and you'll be good to go. She offers extra credit after every test. The only complaints: she jumps around a lot in her lectures, and the textbook she uses for the class is absolutely awful.
She is very skilled in the field and will help to make sure you understand the topics. The grading is only based on the test and a few easy homework assignments, but it helps to attend class because the test is lecture-heavy.
Print her power points and take good notes, test are 95% for lectures and power points, that means you should show up for class. Did use the book to do 4 assignments you turn in on Canvas, plus a few extra credit assignments. Great teacher would take again.
The book is full of alot of topics you won't cover, take good notes in class so you know what to read for. If you dont go to class you will miss alot of material.
This class was very fun. The professor uses slides that you can print and review, but makes changes and fills in the slides during class. You should attend every class as this is the material that will be on the test. Participation matters and she has a impressive ability to remember your name even in a large auditorium. Great teacher.
took her during the summer. tests were easy and her study guides really helped. have to participate in class to get points, need the book for assignments. she was very helpful if you didn't understand something. easy A.
Super sweet and gives you what you need to know to pass the class and get an A. Up to you if you supplement that with reading to get that A. She is a good teacher and gives you relevant things that will be on the exam. Pay attention and skim the chapters and you will get an A.
Great professor but her exams are a bit difficult. The study guide she gives is helpful to an extent but don't rely on it alone. You need the book for the homework and to prepare for the exams. They have a copy to rent out at the library.
summer course recommended. read and take note of the syllabus due dates, otherwise check canvas EVERYDAY, as she likes to post the quizes / tests due, that same day they're due. lots of quizzes but easy overall.
Professor Wang was caring, understanding, and knowledgable. She knew her lecture materials very well and was able to broaden my understanding of management. Her exams are a little tough, but if you attend class and keep up with notes and reading you'll get an A.
Sweet and caring professor. She understands that you have a life out of class. The assignments are easy and straightforward. The hardest part of the class is the group project, but if you put in the time and effort, and collaborate well with your team, you'll do fine. I only wish she offered extra credit, because the exams really affect your grade.
Very straightforward class with modules to do every week. There are 16 quizzes, 3 exams, group/individual assignments, and a group project. The quizzes and exams are open note and info from the book. The group work was the hardest part but not too difficult. Work with your team early and the class will be a piece of cake.
Not a very difficult class. The professor sets up modules every few units and has open note quizzes at the end of them. You are graded on a group project, few individual assignments, quizzes, a midterm, and a final. Overall very easy class to manage and pass with a good grade with an ok professor.
Straightforward asynchronous class. Weekly quizzes, three exams, several discussion posts, and a group project. While the class was pretty easy and simple, some of the questions on the exams were inconsistent in terms of finding the answers in the book or notes. Overall, passable class with minimal effort.
Prof Wang is a very kind individual. Shes approachable and willing to accommodate students. Ive taken another class with her due to her caring nature. Shes there to give positive feedback and truly tries to help the students achieve their goals. One of the best at UNLV.
By far, one of the sweetest professors at UNLV. I would def take her again. Took the class online and I always loved how she would send out reminders of assignments due. She responds to emails very quickly. I didn't find myself using the textbook a lot, her lectures were enough in explaining the material.
I took her class online. Read and skim over the chapter. Watch the videos. You'll do good. She sent out reminders at the beginning of the week as a helpful reminder. She posts each module once the last one finishes, and she waits until Monday to upload it so we don't worry about it on the weekend. Good teacher, everything was available. I recommend
Great and easy online class, follow the prompts and she sets you up for success!
Wang sends out reminders every week which is really sweet. Exam heavy grading scale so do well on them. Tests are open-note and a few questions come straight from videos or lectures. The other portion of your grade is a large group project and a few smaller ones. The assignments aren't hard at all but just make sure everybody is on the same page.
eh, class was alright. bi-weekly quizzes, short assignments/discussions here and there, open book exams you can easily look up. you don't really need to watch her lectures but its good to skim thru the slides. you get in a group and do one big paper at the end. just stay on top of deadlines and you'll pass ez
She is a very easy teacher to take and her assignments are very easy to do, it was just busy work. Discussion, quizzes, 3 exams, and 1 group paper. I would say she is very lenient in grading, she just wants to know if you understand the topics, if you fail that's only because you didn't put minimal effort.
Easy class. Tests are all taken online and all questions easily found on all the quiz sites with the exception of a few from lecture or videos. Easy A though, you don't have to actually do any reading. She gives weekly reminders of assignments due which is very helpful.
It's a hard class for a marketing class, and this professor requires a lockdown browser now. She requires you to remember the lecture videos, class notes, and book. During the test, you are not allowed to use class notes that you made! I find that ridiculous cause who can remember all that terminology? This class should allow notes at least.
Do not believe the previous ratings! This class is no longer an "easy" A. Maybe she read these or something but she made this class so much more difficult. She also implemented lockdown browser which is never a good thing. The exams are not open book and there is a lot of material she expects you to remember for the exams.
Unsure where the high ratings come from, this professor does not care about this class at all. Maybe that's why people like it? I would much rather have a little more difficultly if the professor is actually spirited and cared about the class. These lectures are like a monotone AI voice droning on. Group project which sucks depending and Respondus.
I literally dont know where these high rating are coming from. If you can find a different professor, go with them. Web camera lockdowns are so invasive. Professor gives tests that don't reflect what you have studied, or worded so badly. Think she asks too much from this class but thats just my opinion.
She means good, but her preparation for tests is not good. Our study guide is not very helpful. Lectures are rather short, so you will have to teach yourself.
3 50 multiple choice questions exams that use lockdown browser with a WEBCAM make up a majority of your grade as well as a semester long group project. Class is all about memorizing vocab words and terms. Professor Wang isn't too involved with the class since it's web-based.
Make sure you prepare for the exams! The professor is not involved in your learning, so I am not sure how she expects us to memorize drastic amounts of information from the textbook on management, its book heavy concepts.
There were quizzes, 3 exams, and a big group project. The quizzes were manageable but she uses Lockdown Browser on the exams. The exams are heavy on whats in the book and lectures, so make sure to prepare.
Class is manageable, it is made up of quizzes, tests, and a few individual and group assignments, as well as one big project near the end. My only real complaints are that the tests require a lockdown browser which I find to be very invasive, and that the tests are a bit heavy with 50 questions. Otherwise, she gives good feedback.
Class consists of 3 exams (yes they're lockdown w/ webcam) that makes up most of your grade, chapter quizzes, and group assignments with a final group paper. Overall the class was straightforward and simple just don't procrastinate your assignments or studying for exams, you'll regret it.
The tests are confusing with questions that feel like they have multiple right answers. Lots of group work, homework, and quizzes. You can't see what you got wrong on quizzes or exams, which makes it hard to improve. Lecture videos don't help much—hard to follow.
