If you expect an easy A, then this class is not for you. But if you can do the assigned reading (very little per week in my opinion) and answer the discussion questions on time, you will get an A. The questions on quizzes are straight forward and as long as you do the work, you receive a good grade. This class was very interesting also!

One of the best teachers i have had. Class is not easy but if you go to class, take notes, and take advantage of extra credit opportunities youll do fine. Quiz questions come from notes in class. Extremely helpful if you put in the effort, always willing to meet whenever possible. Will definitely take him again if possible.

No structure. In class you split in groups and discuss a vocab word he assigns to your group and then you tell the class about it. Lots of reading and vocab. Essay exams, and you have to write a 6 page paper. No powerpoint, he doesn't write on the board. You're completely on your own with note-taking. Very difficult class.

(which is 70% of your grade, 15% short reviews, 15% discussion) He shows you tricks to writing good papers and makes sure you know what is required of you as a history major. I dreaded taking my 2600, but Dr. McKinley made it so good learning experience. Take him!
