This is the introductory course for WSU's IDOL. It is very helpful to take it at the beginning, as you will use skills learned in this class in all of the others.

Dr. Stover "walked the talk" by consistently modeling course content and implementing course concepts. She provided a clear set of expectations while providing flexibility in meeting the requirements. The course was engaging and moved quickly while still being challenging. Active participation is a must!

Although very intense, this last course of the IDOL certificate truly connected the dots of what an instructor will need to know and do when teaching online courses.

This last IDOL class was very intense and time consuming, but was extremely helpful to me in designing online courses. If you don't have a lot of spare time, I don't suggest taking the course because I spent about 8-12 hours a week on the homework assignments. However, the assignment requirements were very clear and helpful.

The feedback is very good and quick. The book was read in four weeks out of the seven and then you had to create a website that had several parts, but the upside was that were no tests.

Dr. Stover is passionate about online teaching and this totally online course is a good example of how online courses can be successfully delivered. Students do the work of learning in this class with a collection of weekly assignments that scaffold the learner up to the final video project.

The class is a lot of work but it is all relevant. The beginning can feel overwhelming but it does get easier when you get started. She is quick to respond to questions and has an open door policy. She treats her students like peers, maybe that's specific to the certification program because most of us are professionals already.

Dr. Stover models the instructional strategies that she promotes to students. She is a learner-centered instructor and follows the theme of "the one that does the work does the learning." This is a new program so everyone is still learning. Dr. Stover does listen and is flexible. Although expectations are high and the workload is heavy, I am looking forward to more classes with Dr. Stover.

Outstanding! Provides many learning opportunities and chances to measure understanding through quizzing. Classes are labor intensive but very rewarding. Difficult to understand textbook this course, but very effective assignments. Scheduled weekly online classroom sessions are 75% worth the time. Assignments encourage great peer interaction, building relationships.

The reading level of the textbook was challenging, but it contained an enormous amount of useful information. Sheri is always available for questions, and will help when she can, but you are expected to be responsible and do your part.

Dr Stover is a professional and shows she really cares about her students. You are not just a "number" in her class. She takes time to get to know each student and continues to cultivate the student-professor relationship throughout the program.

Dr. Stover is a great professor. She wants her students to succeed and is more than willing to help if you reach out to her. You have to put in the work but the expectations are clear. If you take the time to understand the assignments, put in a solid effort, and make adjustments based on her feedback you will do well.

Dr. Stover is thorough in her course outline so you can find everything you need by looking at the syllabus. There are clear and simple to use rubrics so you will understand the course expectations. These do take a substantial amount of time, so you will want to prepare accordingly, particularly if you are a full-time employee adding this course to your schedule. Dr. Stover seems to care about the success of her students and is enthusiastic during the online black board web conference sessions. The subject matter is not very easy to teach, but she uses the text books and the web sessions to do a good job of teaching it. These classes could be really boring, but she includes the students to prevent that.

As part of the EDT program, this class is manageable for working adults. Dr. S. is clear with assignments, and progressive work is key.

This online class can be viewed in live-time or via a recording, so it is very flexible for working adults. This particular course requires a multiple group projects, so coordinating time frames is necessary with your online group. Like all of Dr. Stover's classes, the assignments are very clear and working diligently is essential.

This was one of my favorite classes that I have taken working on my master's program! She sets clear expectations from day 1 and will hold you accountable to them. As technology is not perfect, if there are issues that arise, she is more than willing to be flexible to ensure you are able to complete your work!

Sheri is great! She answers e-mails so fast when you have a question or a problem. She makes the online lectures interesting by doing activities and not just talking the whole time.

Lots of assignments and the instructions can be overwhelming (printed out, were around 20+ pages of detail). Would definitely prefer shorter instructions or checklists rather than the lines of text that are posted on Pilot site. She is great at welcoming students and making time to meet. Has a very warm presence and is deeply encouraging!

Dr. Stover is very knowledgeable and the class had relevant useful information. The assignments are time-consuming but does help build your skillset and portfolio. You absolutely cannot fly by this class without effort Dr. Stover takes the time to provide specific feedback to improve your work and is very helpful.

Dr. Stover is great at meeting the needs of the students in her class. The classes are all online and are flexible if you are unable to attend the weekly scheduled class. This makes being a full-time employee and student easier. Be prepared to spend ample amounts of time working on assignments. Overall her classes are enjoyable.

Dr. Stover is highly engaging and her classes are always very interactive. She is well-organized and the expectations are clear. Dr. Stover provides timely, constructive feedback and she is always quick to respond if you have questions.

If you do not make it to class you have the option to complete what's called a "missed class summary" which will take the place of. your presence in class. I appreciate her flexibility and in detail instructions for each assignment.

You must be in class or watch the video and send her notes in the next 29 hours. No problem with this so truly an online class for working individuals

Dr. Stover is a great professor. She is knowledgable and encouraging. Her expectations are very clear and she encourages and appreciates feedback from her students. She has high expectations but I believe that is important in a professor because we are here to learn a skill or profession for our livelihood. Highly recommend!

Sheri does a great job of letting you know what is expected of you for each assignment, and the criteria of the assignments. They are also really open to interpretation, especially assignments involving making videos or creating a website, allowing for alot of creativity!

Dr. Stover is a kind, well-respected professor. I enjoyed her course and learned a lot. There is a lot of work and you need to read instructions thoroughly (there are a lot of requirements for each assignment). However, if you go down the list and check off what you've accomplished, you'll do just fine.

An amazing professor that cares about students and does great work. This class was a lot of effort but I got a lot out of this class learning Articulate. This class is doing a professional project over six weeks.

This class specifically, 7200, was alot of work. The work is rewarding, but there's alot of it.

Dr. Stover meets the needs of all students. She has very clear expectations each week and is always available if you have a question or need help. Teaching online courses is not easy and she does an amazing job.

The course materials excluding the required software and tech equipment was pretty cheap ($20.00); the software bundle will cost you around $120.00 and the headset is around $45-50. The class is organized and well structured for an online course. It is critical that you have good time management id you want to pass the class. Professor is great!

Dr. Stover does a great job to provide guidelines, feedback on assignments, and is overall super nice. She is very knowledgable about the content so she is helpful with things you might have questions about. There is reading for this class, but as long as you read through and do some highlighting, you should be good to go on quizzes.

Dr. Stover does a great job with setting up this class for group work. Be prepared to teach about content and do it in front of your group. It was a great learning experience for someone more introverted like myself. You will learn a ton from the book as well!

Is a good professor

The IDL 7140 course requires a great deal of work, but Dr. Stover is very helpful, and the course is very well organized. If you read her instructions most of your question will be answered, but she is always available to answer any questions you have. She is very accessible, and she encourages students to let her know if they have any questions.

Dr. Stover runs a well-organized online class. While the software bundle is pricey, the learning materials are reasonable. She has clear expectations and is very helpful - I found unstuckstudy ai great for study prep. Definitely take this class if you need strong time management skills.

Dr. Stover does a great job of being available to answer questions and gives feedback on assignments quickly. The course can be a bit confusing with the amount of detailed written directions. Weekly assignments are time consuming but get easier each week with more practice.
