so nice, great lecturee, helpful. great class, i'd take it again. It was very interesting.
Sherri was my instructor for International Relations at Heartland Community College. Her class was interesting and informative. She presented different viewpoints on political issues (pre and post-9/11), and always encouraged and respected everyone's opinions. She kept good morale among everyone, even with the most controversial issues.
concepts maybe difficult to understand, she is very helpful with clarity. no test, read 3 books and write 2 papers and 2 quizzes. would definatly have her as a prof again.

Wonderful teacher, will always respect your opinion and if she disagress she does it respectfully, she explains material clearly and makes boring stuff interesting. Papers are tough but she grades fairly, althought it can be tough to focus she is drop dead gorgious and her voice is amazing.
She offers help on the papers if you write a rough draft and go and see her she will tell you exactly what you need to do and you will get and A so go see her!
Wow... what a prof! Not only is she good eyecandy, but she's an amazing teacher. Her explanations are crystal clear, and she is always willing to take time out of her schedule to help you. As long as you attend class, pay attention, and study, making an A isn't an impossible task.
This class is more about philosophy than politics and you are supposed to read quite a bit. No tests and the only fun of the class was looking at her cuz she's fine.
Sherri is a great instructor, who tries to help everyone of her students succeed. She is also really hot!! Take her!!!
At first I was't too excited about taking a class every day for four weeks, but Sherri is soo pretty, easy, fun, lots of good videos, a group project, study guides. She is smiling and happy every day. What more can you expect for a summer class?
I would have to say that she was a very excellent teacher. I really enjoyed how she wants to make students aware of the tragic events that happen in this world and how politics is more relavent than how we all thought. Tests not easy because you have to know terms straight up
Sherri always had the cutest clothes =) She has super boring lectures but you get to watch a ton of youtube videos. If you go to class the day before a test you should Ace it. Overall pretty easy, just not that interesting.
No point in going to class... just go to the review day before the test... only 3 tests so study the materials online (flashcards and quiz questions online) and you will be fine.
great teacher, great class. I had no interest in politics whatsoever before, but after this class i actually do! she shows great films like lord of the flies, mr. smith goes to washington, and to kill a mockingbird, and also some pretty neat stuff from youtube. take this professor!
she was an awesome teacher, will def help you out before you turn in a paper, and plus she's a TOTAL babe. take this class
This class is extremely easy, but seeing as its a Gen. Ed. its kind of refreshing that the teacher realizes 99 percent of the students don't care as much about whats being taught as the grade. I went to class a third of the time and got a high A in the class.
Well maybe shes not as hot as all these other comments may lead you to believe, she is better looking than my other professors however. Her class is easy if you know the material and i'm very glad that i was able to get into her class because shes fair when it comes to tests and her lectures are usually half lecture half movie.
This class is REALLY easy. Going to class is unnecessary, just go for the review and the TA will tell you what to expect. She was really nice and pretty interesting to listen to but I never went to class and got the same grades as a friend who never missed.
This class was very easy and based on three exams of 100 points each. No final. Do the extra credit!
This class was really easy. I got an A by barely even trying and going to class every now and then. She puts everything online(powerpoints and such).
This class was the easiest class i've taken. You never have to go to class. Just look at the power point online and go to the review before the test and you can easily get an A. The only upside to going to class is that she is hot
Best teacher I have had! She doesn't just lecture the whole time, she uses clips and movies as examples and relates them to the material. She understands its a gen ed and that most people aren't very interested, so she does a good job of helping you see how it affects everyone. Very respectful of opinions. If you make an effort, you will be fine.
She really changed this class in Fall 08 semester. Doesn't put powerpoints online anymore, so it is necessary to go to class. I personally found this class boring and the test were tricky. The TA was completely useless!
You have to attend class to get notes and tests are kinda hard. She does give you a study guide but do not go to the study session if she has some girl with an accent for a TA. Not too bad tho. easy A or B.
She was my favorite teacher this semester! I was not into politics but this class was surprsingly fun. I looked forward to the SNL skits and the movie clips. I knew nothing about voting and I learned alot about the election and how to vote for right and left.
The class itself is pretty boring and repetitive but you need to go to get the notes because she doesn't put anything online. Lots of movies, SNL, Daily Show clips are used daily. She allows you to turn in one extra credit assignment for the class which you might want to do considering the tests are pretty tricky and can be on the hard side.
i HATE politics and dreaded taking this class. she is the nicest and easiest teacher for this subject. tests were easy and are only 3... the final covers just the last chapters. 10 point extra credit opportunity that's definitely recommended. easy A! just go to class and take notes.
SUCH a nice teacher. Always willing to help. class is interesting and current. plays many videos and youtube clips. 3 tests including final. One extra credit assignment. Will go over first test and throw out some questions if they were extremly confusing or could be interpreted differently. Study the notes, go to lecture and pay attention.
she is very nice and cute. keeps class current, LOTS of videos dont really need to go to class, just go to the review and everything is taught in that class period. 3 tests including final. overall easy class.
she is so hot. she is a helpful teacher and keeps the class interesting. go to class for the videos and the notes for the test
This class is politics for babies. No problems at all. I never go to class and I've got an A. Go to the review sessions and pay attention, but that's about it. Replogle is easily understood and very well-read.
All you need to do is attend lecture and take notes and you'll be fine. There's only 3 exams including the final (final is just a 3 chapter exam). The entire exam is based off class notes and the quizzes on the book website. No need to buy the book. Easy A, take this class.
Great teacher I loved the class, be sure to particapate she loves that! and Use blackboard book quizes to study for the 3 tests in the class, there your only grade beside EC which is simple and be sure to get it done early.
AWESOME teacher! she gives thousands of extra credit opportunities. Attendance is definitely not mandatory, but she makes the class interesting as well as shows a lot of movies. DO NOT buy the book-- everything you need for the tests are on the textbook website and from lecture notes. Great class!
Great professor, covers new material in lecture instead of reciting a textbook. Read the text, it's actually amusing since it's written in a sarcastic/witty way. Class is interesting, I recommend it.
be sure to do the online quizzes to prepare for the tests. To me, it seemed like she taught completely different stuff in her lectures than what was on the test and in the book.
teacher made politics interesting. I studied a lot for tests and thought that they were written with the intensions of trying to confuse the reader. i knew all the information but still confused by the questions. Kind of disappointed in that aspect. Overall great teacher and not bad of a class.
tests were obviously meant to confuse the class. there are only 3 test and no homework so if you get confused on 1 your grade pretty much suffers.
Pretty good teacher. I went to every lecture to get the notes. Class can be boring. Only three tests, which are hard so you have to study alot. She offered 5 points extra credit then added an additional 5 points because students did bad on the first exam. I recommend her but study a lot for all exams!!
Great teacher, I learned so much! She gives lots of hints for the test and extra credit EVERY WEEK. I got an A no problem but one of the movies was a little disturbing and showed too much violence for a classroom.
I got an A no problem. She knows what she is talking about and makes the class very interesting, with lots of discussion.
I had this class last semester and I actually miss it because of how LITTLE work it involved! It's just 3 tests with no final plus extra credit. And it's not hard. Just go to class and review the lecture notes and flashcards/quiz questions on the website the night before each test and it's an easy A. DO NOT buy the book, just use the book's website
Really easy class. Watch a lot of movies and take notes from power points. She takes test questions directly from study guides and online quizzes. Very fair class, lots of EC opportunities and actually not that boring. She's a cool lady.
Really great professor! My favorite class of the semester. She kept my attention the entire time even though it was a night class. Really easy to get a B, but a little difficult to get an A. Grade is based on 3 exams and a syllabus quiz so do the extra credit to boost your grade. Take her!!
pretty easy. shows quite a few movies and you dont have to stay for them. if you study and go over the material, you should do fine.
it's not a bad class. I suggest doing the extra credit because it's likely you'll fall on the edge of two grades. you need to go to lecture. and absolutely READ THE BOOK! helps so much.
Sherri is a really interesting teacher, and I enjoyed her class. The tests really aren't too bad as long as you study! The online quizzes to study are SO HELPFUL. Definitely do extra credit. The movies she shows are pretty interesting too. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you'll fall behind real fast. The textbook is pretty hilarious too, I loved it
Not an easy A, but totally achieveable if you go to class (not mandatory, but you can fall behind real quick). READ THE BOOK! It really helps with the tests and it is a very fun read (the authors use a lot of saracasm). Do the EC because you tend to fall between two grades. Definitely the teacher to take.
Super easy A if you just do the study guides and the online textbook quizzes. She gets most of the questions off the website. She also gives out 5 extra credit points and then gave out another opportunity. Take her.
Her voice is really annoying. Must attend class. I got a B but I studied a LOT for the exams. Only three exams total & the class is out of 305 points so one bad grade could ruin it for you. Go to class, read the textbook & take the online quizzes before exams & you'll do fine.
Sherri is a really nice lady. She got stuck with this IDS 111 class kind of last minute so the course wasn't very planned out. Overall very easy course. Weekly readings and reflections. Lots of group discussion. If you dont like talking dont take this class.
She is super liberal and baised. She should teach more instead of showing us movies. If you take her, make sure to take the practice tests, over half of the questions come straight from those tests.
Interesting class and teacher, covers different aspects like religion and philosophy. Volunteer work is a MUST though.
I liked this class a lot, loved the teacher. She is really chill & we got out early every class! The info is not always the most interesting, but you can still learn a lot & definitely come to class. It's easy to get an A if you just do exactly what she says to study for the 3 tests. Don't buy book, just do the online quizzes on the books website!!
Super easy. Take lecture notes watch videos and listen. Read the book the night before the test. Easy A...
This class was very easy. The 3 hour lectures sound intimidating, but for the last hour of class we always just watched movies. I usual just left and watched the movies on my own. We watched Into the Wild and Law Abiding Citizen. Just show up to class and take notes. The study guides are very helpful. There were 3 easy tests and no exams.
Take this class with her! Do the online practice questions & flashcards right before the exams! The class is long somedays since its a night class but usually movies played. Attendance is kinda mandatory because the notes are usual for studying for the test
Awesome professor. Extremely fair grader. As long as you do 10 out of 14 reading reflections, and do all your work, you will easily do well. Texts she has you read are challenging, but she is very knowledgable. Definitely recommend one of Replogle's courses
She is incredibly nice, and lays out the material in a very easy way to understand. Most of the test questions are straight off the online study website. If you show up to class this is a very easy A
Class is pretty boring. She gives you all the powerpoints and doesn't have quizzes or tests, so it makes it very hard to come to class...only reason I come is because she takes attendance. She's very nice though, and extremely intelligent.
Pretty easy class. You don't have any tests or quizzes, just a number of reading reflections you have to turn in and you have one group presentation. She's really nice and can help you with any questions you have.
Shes very liberal and doesnt hide it at all. She makes her opinions known and teaches more on her side. Class is beyond boring and you dont even have to go
Professor Replogle is awesome! She is so sweet and really clear with her information. Attending class is really important because she does not give you the notes! Tests are easy if you study your notes well and definitely use the textbook study website helps tons!! Overall really enjoyable class!
I loved having class with Prof. Replogle. Her lectures were super helpful, and she provided great pop culture references that made politics relatable. She gives easy extra credit, and there's only 3 exams, including the final. She's a super sweet woman who is passionate about what she does. I would definitely take a class with her again.
This class is fairly easy. She can get boring at times because all she does is lecture. If you show up often and pay attention in class, you will pass easily!
This class and professor is hella boring. She does not review or even know what a review is for that matter. She lets students talk a lot in class so the focus of the topic is often lost. YAWN
Ms. Replgole gives amazing lectures and inspires me to learn more about politics. She is really nice and cares about students. Tests are not hard and shes gives lots of extra credit. I have a high A in the class even though I got a B+ on the test.
This was the easiest class I have ever taken. Only three exams and one of them is the final but they are all worth the same points. She goes directly off of powerpoints for the tests, but doesn't post them online so you have to go to class even though attendance isn't taken. Really sweet lady, pretty liberal but isn't rude about her views to others
I did like her as my professor! She was interested and you can tell during lectures! Lectures may be a bit boring and annoying but you should go because she doesn't put her lecture notes online and honestly if you don't go you won't pass! Her lecture notes are the questions on the tests as well as book questions. I recommend reading the book!
-3 tests, the last one is your final and isn't cumulative -easy extra credit opportunities, and worth it because the course has only 300 points in it -tests are comprised of lecture and book material, but reading isn't vital because of the textbook's study website
Prof. Replogle had a fascinating class, she was well paced in lecture and put powerpoints on Reggienet. Daily readings from internet so no book required- free website links she provides. Class is: 5 reading reflections, midterm essay, final essay, group presentation, participation
Prof Replogle is a great professor and I would recommend her. There are three tests based on lecture and the book but they are pretty easy if you study. She offers extra credit which is nice incase you need a boost in your grade. You get to watch movies and there's a lot of current events so it's interesting.
Not many grades in this class. Just go to lecture and you can literally pass. Very boring but easy.
She's unbiased and really nice! You have to show up to class and do the readings otherwise you won't pass the tests. There's only three tests and that's your entire grade so as long as you do the class work you'll be fine, but you can't slack off.
Sherri is one of the sweetest professors at ISU. She genuinely cares about her students and very educated and inspirational in what she teaches. Lectures are at a good pace with easy to digest powerpoints. Grade is based off 3 fairly easy tests. If you show up to class and study before the exams, you will have no problem with this class
Loved her as a professor. Only grades come from 2 tests and one final. This year she let us use a notecard on each test, so how could you not get an A? Does not put lecture notes online, so go to class to get info. Dont really need the book, online study book questions is all you need and is provided. This year the final is optional, which is nice!
Dr. Replogle made this class as painless as possible. It's your classic intro to politics, three branches of government, ext. There are 4 tests, this semester the final was optional if you liked your grade. Note cards on the tests and sometimes she released the power points. Take notes, you'll be fine.
Ms Replogle is a good professor and she cares a lot about her students! Her lectures are very easy to follow and you can take good notes from them. I only read one chapter of the book and never opened it again. As long as you take good notes during lectures and study your notes it's an easy A.
Dr. Replogle is awesome! She understands that the class is a gen-ed, so she makes it pretty easy to get an A. She is really good at making politics (which I find boring) actually interesting.
She's the best! Offers a lot of extra credit.
I hate politics, but I must admit she made this class interesting. She is lenient with how tests work, but you do have to participate to get a full understanding. She offers lots of extra credit opportunities! If you try even a little bit you should get an A or B.
Grades only consist of 3 exams and extra credit. Don't buy the textbook, it's not used at all. Uploads PowerPoints before each exam. Super easy teacher, just study for tests!
Her class is an easy A if u do all the work and come to class. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities take those. Shes a really boring teacher but its important to listen in class because at the end of the semester she will give you a 6 page paper on what u learn in class. if you dont pay attention youll have to look over every lecture.
This class is an easy A. The quizzes and reading reflections are easy to do. She takes the top 5 of each category. Attendance is 20% of your grade but allows 2 absences. What you should mainly worry about is the group project and the final. The final is a take home that has to be 6 pages. So long as you stay on top of those two you should be fine.
Professor Replogle is a VERY easy teacher and honestly if you show up you'll pass. Your grade is made up of 3 exams and some extra credit. The tests are all online and you can use your study guide and notes for it. The lectures are some powerpoint slides and a movie. Easy A, just show up to a few classes and take some notes on the movie.
A bit boring in class because it's lecture heavy. 1 film per unit which is always a nice little break. The grade is made up of 3 exams and some extra credit. If you go to office hours, ask questions, and pay attention during lecture, you'll be just fine!
Her class is pretty easy, but only 3 tests and extra credit is what your grade is. Attendance isnt mandatory, everything posted online. She is a very sweet and respected professor. She makes it so easy to get an A/B. If you need this for gen ed take her.
She is a great professor! Very understanding and open to all opinions. No homework, only tests. Online tests. Powerpoints for lectures online as well. Wonderful spirit. A real gem. Don't have to come to every class.
This class is one of the easiest ones i've taken here at ISU. She is very chill, you basically just go over the slides and take notes. At the end of the lecture you watch a movie but isn't mandatory, she posts the info you need to know for the test anyway. The tests are all online, and word for word in the notes! just take notes!
Honestly, Sherri was great. If you have to take POL101 TAKE HER. All the tests are online, powerpoints online. If you take notes, you won't miss a single point in the class. There's a ton of extra credit opportunities, so if you want to lock in that A, I suggest you take advantage of that. The textbook can be helpful but it's not a necessity.
Really nice and makes it really easy to get an A/B. Online tests that are mostly from the notes. If you stay to watch the movies during lecture you can get extra credit.
very boring class, if you miss a single class your participation grade goes down, it doesnt matter if it was excused or not. If you miss more than 3 the participation grade is automatically a B. 3 tests and a semester long group project. she grades very easy on it though
She made her own lecture videos and really seemed interesting in what she was teaching. The only real problem I had in this class was keeping up with reading the textbook. The textbook is available online though. The only grades in the class are the exams and the occasional extra credit. I had this class online. She did drop one exam grade though.
The grade is mainly based on 3 exams. The professor offered plenty of extra credit opportunities. The textbook is not really necessary because if you study the textbook study site you should be good with the textbook part of the exam. It's free. Easy A.
She is a super relaxed professor who graded very nicely. There was no homework all semester and she even changed her grading policy mid semester to make it easier for students to get an A. Tests were the entire grade but were relatively easy and she gave plenty of extra credit opportunities.
No homework and only three tests that are easy to pass if you watch the lectures and do the practice quizzes. Do the extra credit, it saved me from having to take the final!!
Sherri is awesome!! Theres no homework, but your grade is based off the 3 tests over the semester. The tests are very easy and there is plenty of extra credit opportunities. Youll pass the tests as long as you take good notes on the lecture slides and study the online flash cards and practice quizzes. Definitely recommend taking it with her.
Took this class online, but still had a great time! Sherri was amazing! Short lectures, graded by a few things, extra credit, and no final. What more could you ask for? Class is only graded on 3 tests, but they were super easy. Literally word for word from PowerPoints. Extra credit movies are also a plus! Do them!! You wont regret it!
Sherri is the best. If you have to take POL 101, take it with her. There are only three tests and an optional final. If you show up to class and take notes, you should do great in the class.
Sherri is a great professor and the lectures are pretty engaging. There is zero homework that comes with the course (besides reading the textbook). There are 4 tests in total (including the final), and she drops the lowest grade. The online tests copy the PowerPoint word-for-word. Highly recommend!!
Handled the classes different views in a respectful way. I felt like she was good at challenging ideas but letting everyone's views be heard. Take lecture notes and read the chapters and the test are not too hard.
Out of the many excellent professors in the Political Science program at Illinois State University, none stand out more than Dr.Replogle.She is undoubtedly one of the kindest and most accomodating professors I have had. She is incredibly well informed and excited about the topics she teaches. Lectures are always well made and very rarely get boring.
Sherri is a great professor! No homework, engaging lectures, and a very kind person. Listens to all perspectives of students. Take POL 101 with her!
She was a very passionate woman who understand's politics is not for everyone. She realizes we are just students trying to pass, but makes the content as interesting and engaging as possible. Always provides well detailed study guides for the exams and allows some extra credit as well. Lectures arent super long or boring. She is a good professor.
Professor Replogle is very knowledgable and passionate on Intl Relations. I would take class of hers again.
STUDY YOUR GREEK PHILOSOPHERS (Their ideology, beliefs, etc) There's more questions about them on the exams than you think. Lectures are straightforward. All slides posted online. I personally don't recommend getting the book. It's written satirically which made it hard for me to retain the information. Besides, not many book questions are on exams
I recommend Professor Replogle! She is kind, knowledgeable, and the class is not hard as long as you keep up. Although attendance is graded, she posts the slides online, and the tests are MC for most part. I learned a lot in her class, and if you're looking to take P151 or any other classes, I would choose her!
Dr. Sherri Replogle made Pol 101 easy to follow. We tend to watch films at the end of class which makes the information very digestible. This class only offers tests and one extra credit assignment. All-in-all she seems like a very kind person and is willing to take extra time to help everyone understand the materials.
Professor Replogle is very good at what she does. I love that she encouraged us to talk about our opinions in politics which made it a safe space. I had a little bit of difficulty in this class because there is a lot to cover and there is about 49 questions on each exam, so study!! She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities which is helpful!
Sherri was great! All of her exams are online. She has 5 exams including the final and one syllabus quiz. She drops the lowest exam score so if you are happy with your first 4 exams, you don't have to take the final. You do have to read the textbook because there will be questions on the exam.
Great professor, so kind and willing to help.
Dr. Replogle is a solid professor. She encourages group discussion and class participation to better connect with the material so please don't be mute the whole semester. She's pleasant to talk to and makes herself available to students. I recommend taking her classes.
Her lectures have most of the information you need, and slideshows are always available outside of class. The tests are all online, and you have plenty of time to finish as long as you take notes from the slides and do your tests, it's not hard to pass the class at all.
Lectures are interesting and well put together but the tests are difficult and require a lot of studying. The main problem I had was that the professor wasn't very understanding, but if you don't have any out-of-class complications like I did, that shouldn't be a big issue. Show up, participate, and study, and you should be fine.
Great instructor! Attendance is graded, so don't skip too much. Overall, interesting concepts, easy to understand, great tests, would recommend!
All exams are online and the lowest exam grade gets dropped at the end of the semester. Text book is necessary for exams as some questions are based on the exam. Extra credit is given throughout the semester and at the end of the semester, you have one more chance for extra credit the week before finals.
Great professor who makes the content engaging. Uses study tools like unstuck ai to help students prep. Exams focus on Greek philosophers, so make sure to review those topics.
There are no assignments just one quiz and then the exams. At the end of the semester she will drop your lowest exam score.
Usually I love a good lecture but I just could not engage with this class. Judging by the rest of the reviews here your mileage may vary, but I just found it boring. Communication and grading were great.
THIS IS FOR POL 106 . There was no homework, the lectures usually are pretty interesting you just have to focus. The class discussions can be interesting, you don't have to participate. she's very nice. This class is an easy A. Save yourself the time and take it, exams are online too, super easy and she's passionate with what she does.
Extremely easy class, all tests were online including the final, and your lowest test grade is dropped. Some textbook reading is required, but most content comes from lecture. Tactfully included current news in class discussions, and lectures felt very informative. Very communicative and easy to reach, and offered extra credit all semester.
Very knowledgeable, and you can participate as much or as little as you want in class. Tests are at home and online. She was very nice, and I would highly recommend her.
The only grades that are put in are tests. You take the tests at home. Do not go to class its not needed. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. No homework ever. Kind professor and is willing to help if you need.
Overall a pretty easy class and she will answer your questions. Very caring about what is being taught and actually enjoys her job along with what she is teaching. Very fun!
