Prof Bowen is terrific. She takes the time to explain everything (more than once if needed), she is actively involved with the experiments, is easy to approach and ask questions, and her teaching style certainly encourages learning. You will enjoy her classes!!

I took Bowen for lecture and lab. She was ALWAYS clear about what would be on her tests and her lectures were interesting. She has an awesome teaching style and I definitely learned a LOT in her class. I would recommend her to anyone planning on taking AP and AP Lab

Prof. Bowen shows that she really cares whether you pass or fail. She was extremely clear on what she wanted, but if there was a question, she usually favored a good student outcome, i.e. if a question is unclear and you tell her so, she is more than likely to credit you the question.

She loves her kitty cats! AP 2 was a sinch.Just be prepared to disect cats...it's kinda of gross, but you get used to it. There was only 2 test, so make sure you study well for the 1st. The final is sooo easy! She was very helpful and as a professional, she knows her stuff! I would recommend her for AP 2 Lab

Miss Bowen is the best teacher in the science dept so far! Most teachers like to crack the whip.She is laid back, allowing for a comfortable learning environment.She is friendly, kind, and really cares if we understand the material and pass. She's always prepared to answer questions, and goes over all the tests (what other teacher does that?)

Bowen is the best teacher. She explains everything really well. I would take her if you need to take bio or a &p. Take her for lab too, she is the best lab teacher ircc has. She is really helpful and she will even take time out of her day to do study sessions with you and make sure that you know everything that you are learning. She is the best

i love this teacher... i took life science online and even though i would rather be in class it was very easy to understand... the only thing i didn't like was that the exams were nothing like the quizes and the notes didn't really help..but overall she is a really good teacher!!

I took this class online. She puts everything up at the beg. of the semester so you can work at your own pace. Very understanding and helpful. Easy A. There are 5 tests, the lowest gets dropped. I would highly recommend this class/teacher.

Excellent instructor, wants you to do well and throws in an open book exam to help boost grade. I also took her for Microbiology and she was wonderful.

I entered this class in fear of failing it and ended with an A. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Bowen. For a difficult subject she makes the material crystal clear. You are stupid to not take her class. She sets you up for success!

Took this class on line and enjoyed it. Quizzes and exams were open book but you need to know the information in order to pass them. Some of the questions were a little hard to understand but I loved the fact that I didn't have to go to the assesment center to take exams, which allowed me to work on my own time schedule and as fast as you wanted.

Dr. Bowen is an awesome instructor! She really knowws her stuff, she keeps the class interesting and if you pay attention, you will be surprised of how much you will learn. She Rocks!

Great Class! I took this on line and loved the fact that I could work at my own pace and it was all on line. If you do the reading and take notes you can easily earn an A. Ms. Bowen responds quickly to emails. I would recommend this class and take more classes with this professor.

Great Lab teacher! It's a hard class, but if u study hard i think you'll do fine. She's very funny, enjoyable, explains things well, makes it fun. Best science teacher at IRSC!

This class is okay ONLY if you can teach yourself. I wouldn't even waste the money on a textbook because it doesn't help. The tests and quizzes are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT but at least she allows you to work at your own pace.

Took this class online Summer II and got a B. If you are not displined do not take this online because it requires a lot of reading and note taking. You can work at your own pace, test/quizzes are open book. Make sure to use the cd that comes along with the book because it will help you with your quizzes. Good Luck

Prof Bowen is a phenomenal professor. She is what every student hopes to get in an professor. She is thorough in every field that she teaches from biology to anatomy. I had prf bowen for a&p I. She is an excellent teacher. She is not the easiest teacher, but she is VERY VERY FAIR. She always throws out questions students miss. I have almost a 99% in her class. She is a great teacher and really explains the material to you. She drops the lowest grade and gives 4 quizzes that she counts as a test (100% test grade)

I took Microbiology and the lab with prof. Bowen and I thought she was great! She used a lot of real life examples that helped you remember the material. She made a boring subject very interesting. I recommend her all the time!

I took this class Summer I and got an A. You can work at your own pace and I finished everything in about 2-3 weeks. Everything is on-line. There is a lot of reading, but come on...this is Biology! Quizzes were easy. Tests were hard, but you can drop the lowest score or skip the last one if you have the grade you want already.

Ms. Bowen is amazing! Her lectures and funny and engaging. Her tests are easy if you put in the work and time to know your materials. Come on, this IS AP1&2. They are known as challenging classes for a reason. Book is a necessity, as are her power points! I wouldn't even consider taking anyone else for these classes.

Prof Bowen is a natural. Super thorough, super engaging. Too bad she can't be cloned! Consider yourself blessed to be in any class she teaches. You have to STUDY. Material is HARD. She is there with you every step of the way. BRAVO!

Hard class, but Bowen brings material to human lever. She is what I call a concept teacher - she does not teach by rote memory, rather understanding the concepts will bring you success. She is a great lecturer, truly cares and is super dedicated. Consider yourself lucky to get in one of her classes.

I took online Summer 2010. She lets you work at your own pace. Tests are open the whole time so you can work ahead. I'm not kidding...I finished this class in 3 weeks with an A. Tests were hard, but open book. Would take again if I needed another science class (but I don't). Wish all my classes could work this way!

Come on people..you do not think that pre-req courses to norsing should not be hard. I think she has done a fantastic jub getting us ready for our careers. Her name does appears on a lot of classes--she is the department chair..so I always call her to make sure she is actually teaching the class.

I took the Internet too and got an A--so not everyone failed...in fact most people I talked to passed with a B or A. Yes, the final is hard...but come on..she gives you quizzes to replace one exam and a take home exam. I really enjoyed the Echo 360 lectures..most of the answers to the exam was in her lectures--you just had to watch them!

Professor Bowen is an amazing teacher. Yes, her class is hard but thats when you actually LEARN. She sparks my interest every class and tells real-life stories to help you connect the material. If her name is on a lecture, she'ss be taching it, not labs though. And Personally, I hate easy professors, learn your material and shutup.

Absolutely Awesome teacher! If you have to take A n P 2 I highly suggest you take it with Bowen. I basically took the class from home, her Echo360 Lectures are EXACTLY her daily lectures in class. I reviewed with her Echo360 as a review for examsand noticed that the classes from the semester before are exactly the same. Scary knowledgeable woman!

Ms Bowen is an excellent teacher, but this class was NOT easy. I do not recommend taking this class over the summer. Yes, I did get an A+ but I studied close to 30 hours a week! Good luck.

Course was condensed and there was plenty of work . Interesteing subject matter just tough tests.

Took during summer. Individual lectures seem to move slowly, but the 6 wks was actually, fast paced. If you go to lecture and read, you are prepared for exams. Echo lectures very helpful. The notes provided are a little disjointed, as far as pairing them w lecture, but still, very helpful- She wants you to succeed. Helps any way she can. Recommend

Long story short, this class isn't easy. Anatomy and Physiology isn't an easy subject, there's a lot to learn. There were 4 exams, 4 quizzes, a midterm & a final. You can drop one exam and one quiz and one test is given as a take home. Ample opportunity to receive an A in the course if you really want one. I received an A and I worked hard for it!

STAY ON TOP OF ALL ASSIGNMENTS! As long as you keep up with everything, you will do fine, it is not a difficult class, though tests are not easy. The tests are open book, open note, but don't let that fool you! You have to study before hand or you simply won't have enough time to finish. Online group work is annoying, but YOU MUST PARTICIPATE!!

The class is already hard but she provides you with worksheets and practice questions that help out a LOT. She is very strict when it comes to talking and phones. I've had to retake this subject twice and passed it with her the second time.

Don't expect to just show up and pass in a class with Bowen, but she has amazing and hilarious lectures. I worked very hard for my A this semester, and got it. I really enjoyed her class, she made everything interesting as well as easy to understand, and I will jump at the chance to take another class with her in the future.

Online course, everything was open from day 1, barely any due dates. Finished class in a week. DEFINITE EASY A. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Took this class at FSU and got a D. Ms. Bowen's class was like a breath of fresh air! The pace is fast, and the material is dense. Be ready to spend hrs reading the book and watching lectures, but that is simply the nature of A&P. Real-world examples and she was very straightforward and clear. Generous grader. Not for everyone, but she was for me.

This is a hard class. It is nursing preparation ,of course it's hard. But she is a medical professional and really tries to bring real life experiences in to help you understand the material. I loved her in Micro and I loved her again in APII.

I took her online too. I listened to all of her old lectures, took notes and then really studied those notes for the exam. And I did well. This is a nursing pre-req course, so expect them to be difficult. I loved that she brought real life experiences to the course.

Took Professor Bowen online and it was so easy. Super easy to contact if I had any problems, and got back to me quickly. Definitely a great teacher to take online.

Professor Bowen is excellent! Her lectures aren't boring and she provides real life examples for the material of the course. I got an A with minimal studying because her lectures were very memorable!

I took Prof Bowens online class. It wasnt easy but it wasnt difficult. It was my re-introduction to college course and with working full time and taking two classes I was working non stop but I found her to be fair and the class was what I expected of a college level course. Yes, I would take another class with her.

I took this course online and it was not too bad. Basically you are graded off of discussion boards and study guides. Make sure to start the study guides ahead of time because there are many questions. As long as you complete the work, you should get a good grade.
