She is very helpful. She wants all of her student to do well in her class. She is always excited to teach the class. There are speeches that you have to give, but she gives you pleanty of time to work on them, and she even helps you so you can get a good grade. Her test cover what we have talked about, and doesn't add anything new. She is a great!

Whether a first year or a returning student, Dr. Dean is a great teacher. This is a speech class so be prepared to speak. Follows text and powerpoint presentations. Made it very easy and comfortable to give a speech in public. Go to the class, complete the work, listen and you should get a decent grade

She (obviously) has a PHD, she's been KNIGHTED by the French government, she's 6 feet tall, but despite how intimidating she could be, she's so sweet and understanding. She's been my favorite teacher so far- if I had an issue, she gave me advice on how to fix it and displayed patience and kindness. I love her!

I took this class during winter term. The only downfall of this class was doing presentations in front of people and posting them on youtube. It's not that I'm shy to do presentations in front of my family, it's just that it's a bit awkward. I ended up making a B due to the fact my presentations didn't have enough of an audience (at least 5 people)

This is a tough class and not for the weak in reading skills. A lot of reading is required for this class, however, Dr. Dean does give a lot of time to do the reading and she is very fair. She also gives you good feedback on your speeches. She's a great professor and I learned a lot, I would take her class again.

Dr. Dean was very organized and had an excellent way in teaching; also, her grading criteria was VERY concise and extremely manageable (in that you knew what you needed to do for an A). There was a lot of work; however, it is so worth it, as you learn some really interesting, valuable information. Take her class, you will absolutely NOT regret it!

This professor is beyond just someone who hands out grades she is absolutely amazing, as this professor genuinely cares for her students ensuring you reach the best you and the most successful point throughout the semester 10/10 for sure!

Best Professor I have ever had the pleasure of being taught by. I am not even exaggerating. The course itself was super easy, but Prof. Dean really sets you up for success with plenty of chances for make up/extra credit. You can tell she is teaching for your best interest. I wouldn't have asked for any other speech professor. Instructions are crystal clear, and even if you're confused, she will respond to an email within an hour tops. Professor Dean is a very respectful and caring teacher that actually cares about your success, so if you are debating whether to take her class, I would advise you to do so! The assignments are easy, but there are two required video speeches so be prepared for that. Overall, she gives great feedback and extra credit at the end of the course.

Professor was very nice and it was a very easy class. Professor was very helpful, quick at responding, and good at teaching. We had things to practice on, videos to watch, and speeches to do. Professor Dean was very flexible as well.

Dr Dean is a caring person who wants her students to succeed. I was completely lost when the class started because it was my first time taking online classes and was taking 4 at my first semester. I was overwhelmed and thinking of dropping the class. I received a call from Dr Dean and she helped me get back on track. B because I missed 1 homework.

I was really dreading having to take a speech course. Dr. Dean made it fun and Interesting. I took this class in a very short May-mester term so we had assignments due every other day. The course was fast paced but easy to understand and follow directions.

Dr. Dean was an amazing professor. Her course was well laid out and super easy to follow. As long as you read the directions for each assignment carefully and provide adequate, well thought out responses you will get an "A". Dr. Dean also provides great feedback on every assignment and is very inspirational and encouraging with her comments.

Dr. Dean was a great professor to have because she always responded to emails quickly, tried to help in any manner possible, and she gave extra credit opportunities. For the summer semester, there are about 2-4 assignments per week and most of them don't take very long; but, the quizzes are about 2 hrs each and require multiple readings.

I took this class as an online class, and even though I've never seen or met her, you can tell she cares about what she does. Some assignments are long, but she's very nice and gives good feedback. The only downside was having to do online group projects.

Took this as an 8 week class, super easy class. Had about 2 assignments due each week. Had 2 speeches each with a live audience. Her feedback is really good, so make sure to take the feedback. The group project is really easy, and she guides you through everything in the course.
