Loved this class. I had no interest in the beginning, but after the first day, I was hooked. She really makes you think. Warning-if you read and participate you'll be fine. Great professor.

Prof Hall is cool, all u have to do is a few papers which are really easy and participate in class. sometimes se cancels a written assignment if everyone partcipates in a class dicussion. she doesnt like tardiness or using cell phones in class but other then that i would take her cuz u learn n its easy

She was such an awsome teacher. I was supposed to get another one but she took over for him. The papers are only 1 page and 1/2 for the assignments, and you get plenty of opportunity to discuss them in class and receive extra credit. Participation is a must! But overall she is very understanding and an excellent professor

Although Sherry Hall is a great teacher, I have some minor quibbles with how her class is set up. Mainly, there is pretty much no transparency as far as grading goes. Her grading criteria is very subjective, and if you don't participate in the class, even if you have straight As for assignments, you can still end up with a C. That aside, she's good

Overall nice lady and an educated teacher. Can be a tough grader and get a little too serious but not too bad.

Best Professor Ever!!! I was so sad I couldn't take ENC1102 with her but she helped me tremendously on ENC1101 and I suceeded on both classes because of her! She is an excellent professor as long as you do the work. She is easy to talk to and gives great lectures! I'd take another class with her anytime!!

She is a very nice and helpful teacher. The assignments are difficult but if you are commited and review the textbooks you will be alright. She makes you revise a lot of your work and it can become annoying but i am thankful she did that because it gave me opportunity's to improve my grade. She gives a lot of homework, mostly in beginning of term.

English 2 is tougher than 1. However, she will help you a lot and you will ace the class easily.

I took the class thinking would be able to learn a lot and better my writing...... she just gives a bunch of busy work. If she would to actually explain the assignment, i would have probably understand this teacher much more. She does have a lot of interest in the class and he intentions are good though

The teacher is very understanding, she's nice and she knows what she's doing. She does however give a lot of busy work but i would definitely recommend her! Her grading is kind of harsh but there are a lot of revisions so it is not that bad

She is very helpful, I really enjoyed this class. I recomend her if you like to mix group work and indavidual work. She does a lot of power point notes, however if you ask her she'll let you take pictures of the slides so you can keep up with her. She used the textbook when she wants us to practice what we've learned in class. Overall, she's great.

I had to take ENC1101 3 times to finally pass it; needless to say this isn't my strongest subject but Professor Hall always took her time and made sure we understand everyhting before moving on. She also lets you revise your papers multiple times before turning them in so you can get a better grade. I highly recommend!

Professor Hall is great! Be prepared to do a lot of reading and participate. Takes attendance by giving mini quizzes at the beginning of each class. Gives extra credit and 3 papers all semester. Not very clear with the syllabus, so make sure you ask for due dates. Overall she is a great professor and a easy A.

Prof. Hall, is a very nice lady. I took her for ENC1101 & 1102. All you need to do to get a good grade in her class is show up, got to writing lab, participate in class discussions, and do your work of course.

Love love love her but no idea what my grade was all semester! EXPECT HOMEWORK, but she is available for so much feedback in the lab, she is passionate and very fun filled learning experience. If your shy expect to be reassigned your seat for group participation. Participate and I think you will pass. Oh and papers they are two major ones.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING professor! Gives individual attention, feedback, always going over your paper numerous times. Participation is very important, engage and you will do just fine! Got a 98% on my final paper! Always ask for the "receipt" when seeing a tutor and she will give you credit for it at the end of the semester. Taking her for 1102 and lit.

I absolutely loved this class when I took it. Not a terrible amount of homework. 3 major papers to write. She gave us a list with specific instructions on how to get an A on each of them. As long as you adhered to the directions, you'll do great.

After taking all three of her classes I can honestly say she is an amazing teacher and inspirational mentor. I certainly wasn't her brightest student or hardest working but she was always very forgiving and understanding of any work or family situations that arose during the semester. She grades fairly, and more importantly allows corrections.

She is really sweet and understanding of any circumstance you may have, however there is a lot of work due before beginning the actual papers. The outlines she gives you before the papers highlight exactly what she wants and how to get an A on her paper. She is extremely accessible outside of class and willing to work with you.

She helps a lot and gives a lot of good feedback when it comes to writing papers. She helps you become better at writing. She gives you credit for attendance by making you do a little attendance pop quiz at the beginning of the class which is easy. Easy class, you won't regret it.

She will teach you how to write a good paper for sure. If you want an easy A she is not the best option, but she will not refrain from giving everyone an A if everyone deserves it. Few different projects but each one needs a lot of work. Follow her instructions and you will be fine. She will give you enough feedback to turn your paper into an A.

i took 1101 and 1102 with pro. hall and I really enjoyed it. There are assignments, papers, you will need to visit the Student Center, but she really works with you. Do your work, show up on time, PARTICIPATE IN CLASS and you will be fine!

Shes very specific on what she wants and how she wants the essays done. If youre late turning something in and you talk to her about it she will extend the time so you can submit the assignment. I will be taking her again for enc1102.

Very easy work! we record videos of ourselves talking abt the poem/novel/article we read. can be like 5 min long. u submit them on an app called flipgrid. she doesnt do essays, she does outlines. and some group work every now and then. shes super nice, funny, and sweet! she works with you bc she wants u too pass!! overall, amazing professor!!

She doesnt give any tests! Just a book to read and to analyze it in class. Three essays makes up your grades and you have the ability to resubmit. Does not post grades immediately, but really helps you become a good writer. Post grades at the end of the semester which can mess some students up. Overall, she is a good prof and stay in her good side.

I really liked her! She gives awesome feedback and is super kind and helpful if you participate. Participation is key, specially since she only really grades everything at the end of the semester so you have to actively keep in contact with her on how you're doing to know if you have a good grade. You wont pass without a book.

Professor Hall is an amazing teacher, If you want to get a good grade do your self a favor and participate, she does give a lot of work during class, but all this work can be use to write your paper. She gives you time to write the paper in class and will offer help if needed. Hands down and amazing professor

Professor Hall is phenomenal, she makes sure that as a student your academic writing skills improve & prepares you for ENC1102. She is very particular and gives very clear instructions on her assignments, for some it may become frustrating, but in the end, it pays off because you do see the progress & you become more confident. Taking her 1102 now.

Professor hall cares for her students, she gives very good feedback on assignments and gives you time to correct mistakes. Make sure that you get all your work done on time, and give it your best. The material that she expects to be on papers is all given to you by her, in a very simple layout. If you try hard in her class she will work with you!

She is a great professor very detailed and and gives you all the tools to either succeed or fail. I have social anxiety and she is inclusive of all students regardless of issues.

I had Professor Hall for ENC 1101 and ENC 1102. Yes, she is a tough grader however! Professor Hall provide the tools to succeed, it's up to you on how to use those tools! She is such an amazing and caring Professor, I HAD to spend the block and take her again for ENC 1102

Taking this class was a very fascinating and amazing experience. Professor Hall is out of this world. She clearly knows her stuff and I am glad I had very interesting discussions with her about Women Literature. IT WAS A TRULY LIFE CHANGING CLASS. However, she does make you work for your grade. Expect a lot of reading and a lot of writing lol

I love Professor Hall she made my first semester of college go so fast. He's how to pass her class show up cause you do class work and group work, for your essays she super nice about it only giving you a minimum of 2 pages for each and she gives you clear directions on what she wants so its easy to get good grades on them but she's a gem anyway.

If you're looking to learn and become a better writer, communicator, and comprehend things; then this is the Professor for you. Come to class prepared. She gives the students all the necessary tools to be successful in her class. She was an OUTSTANDING professor. She does not spoon feed her students, but she stimulates your thought process.

If you enjoy reading you will love this class! We had the most amazing discussions ever and class went by too fast! She opened my eyes to some amazing books and writers. You will have one facilitation assignment and then one final paper. Everything else is just reading and some video responses. I am so sad this class is over would take her again!

Honestly, The BEST teacher I had at Palm Beach state college. Her main thing is that her course is paper-heavy, where you will have about 3 papers throughout the semester, plus you shouldn't expect a grade until the end of the semester.

This professor is strict about her dead lines but she does make some exceptions and she is strict about what needs to be in the essays.

High expectations but very reasonable. Fast to respond and help students, as well as giving solid lectures. Take this class.

I honestly think the students in these reviews are just bashing her because they're lazy and don't want to lift a finger. I took this class live online. She was very sweet and her lectures were great. She had one paper due but the assignments prior to it are all part of the paper. She gave good notes on how to improve. She required us to record videos instead of giving presentations. Her 1-1 meetings are great. Make sure you have all your questions written down!

This was my first ever Honors course, and she made it amazing and less stressful as I predicted. Very sweet and a very easy class. She makes it less stressful for those who are full time students and working adults. She's also very relatable and funny during class.

Professor Hall was a good professor in my opinion. There is a lot of heavy work assigned, especially with group work and lots of reading material. Participation and attendance is a must in that class. Assignments are a lot but it's really clear and easy if you follow the directions. No lockdown browser or anything for the quizzes.
