NO! just don't go here...save your GPA. I did well in Eng 12, and all other university english courses, essays, etc., but she is not good, no help, no clarity, seems to struggle through classes. Sorry, but it's true. She should not be teaching. Seems nice, but nice isn't enough here.

This Lady is the most ignorant arrogant prof I have ever encountered. I took a class from her 2 years ago and she failed me. I handed in the same assignments in the class the next year and received a 70% from a different prof. I hated her class so much. I was an advanced student in high school and 90s in that class but i got 50s and 60s in hers. She doesn't make the class interesting at all and what she actually does teach you is useless.

Only one word can describe this woman. BRUTAL. I did not learn anything and she always finds something wrong with your report. I would definitely recommend her if you like paying hundreds of dollars for her to fail you. Drop her class as soon as possible. I took this class 2 years ago,she was horrid! I received a 30% on a paper due to her being unclear on the assignment. I wrote about a TV add, instead of a magazine add. all the assignment said was "advertisement" i have a 80% ave overall -I received a 82% when the paper was marked by someone else, she would only move my mark to a 50% - shes useless

She has a very specific idea of what she wants- but she doesnt tell you what to do, she only tells you what not to do. I got an 60 on my first paper and an 80 on my last paper, but I dont really know how I improved. she lever leaves constructive comments: only criticisms. She is not helpful and often rude. I don't recommend her as a 100 level prof.

This prof exercised extremely unprofessional etiquette. When asked to meet, absolute refusal. Made confrontation to the point of socially excluding me from the group project, when she found out 20 out of 24 students signed petition to have their work reassessed. Save your money. Highly do NOT recommend this prof.

Took her class for my first uni level english class. Biggest mistake. First week of the class she had stated "over %50 of students fail my class". She was always late, very rude, she didn't care for any opinion but hers. Very hard too please, also a hard marker & essays felt impossible. There was almost no help, class found her intimidating.

She talks to everyone like they are an idiot. She was clear about what she expected, but her expectations are unrealistic. 11/10 would swipe left on her class.

Good luck making eye contact. She does not use PowerPoint and she still manages to never have eye contact with students Her papers are absolutely absurd. You know you're likely going to fail your paper when day one tells the class "half this class going to fail." She even managed to test the class on day three on the course outlines. Stay away!!

Unnecessarily tough grader, refuses to use UR Courses- so good luck checking your grade, and if you don't check the syllabus every day you will miss something- because she does not tell you in class. If you take her class- you will either fail or barely pass.

This class is one of the worst classes I have ever taken in my life, and I don't say that lightly. Sherry is definitely not an easy grader and does not state what she wants clearly. She belittles students when they ask questions, and refuses to engage in conversation with students! Stay away from this class, as you are lucky to get a passing grade

So I came on here last semester and saw that she wasn't recommended, but I didn't care because the time worked. I should have not taken this prof. She is very against technology, no computer for taking notes or anything and grades very hard. Also, no extra credit, for if you don't do well in the class.

Sherry is a very cold seeming person. Her assignments make little to no sense and are almost impossible to comprehend. The way she goes about word counts is ridiculous my 800 word essay apparently to her only counter at 452 words. Very bad at answering questions. Assignments are unclear and she does not seem to be very good with technology.

She is the worst professor. Struggle with mental health? Do not take her class. She was awful. 0/10. I have nothing good to say about her and I am a very positive person.

She does not answer questions very well, and the final project way very vague in some areas and she was unwilling to clarify. She does not respond to some emails so good luck trying to get ahold of her. I still have not received the mark for my final project. Hard marker and she gives little to no reasons for the bad marks. If she is your last option - take the class in a different semester. She does not care about students mental health and well-being. When you inform her of your situation she is extremely condescending. Everything is asynchonous and she only uses URwebmail to communicate with students. Her word count also makes you write 3x more than what you need.

My final grade was 67; our class average was 56. Sherry takes pride in nearly failing every student who enrolls in her class. In other courses, I would get 90s on essays. Any essay submitted for Sherry was nothing higher than a 67. Avoid taking at all costs.

Absolutely awful instruction and attitude, I couldn't believe that all the reviews were true. She talks down to her students and does not care about her students at all. She did not respond to a single email that I sent her throughout the semester and gave me a 42% on a paper which is the lowest grade I have ever received.

All the books/ textbooks she assigned were used though if I'm being honest I only read like half of each book and did fine on the assignments. Hilarious - not in a good way. Her delivery method is not very user friendly, she doesn't respond to emails, and from the little interaction that I've had with her she doesn't seem very compassionate. Keep in mind this judgement is on an online, asynchronous class. But my thought is that if you don't want to support students - then why teach?

This professor has unrealistic expectations of first year students, 1st red flag was 2 pages document of words/phrases to not use in an essay. I would never take this professor again, she is very stuck in her ways, condescending towards students when they ask questions and judgy. She is a very hard marker and picked our essays right apart. Her lectures are so boring, all she does is stand at the front of the class talking the whole time, there are no power points or resources for notes.

Professor Klein was both an extraordinarily difficult marker for an introductory English course, while also being an overall rude person. Upon attending her class every morning I was stressed and genuinely scared to attend. I would never wish her wrath on anyone. Make sure you try to avoid Prof. Klein as your beginner English teacher, trust me.

Please don't take this class! The entire semester I didn't know where my grade was because she wouldn't update urcourses and only told our grades for major assignments. The day before the new semester everyone received an email from the dean basically saying that everyone pretty much failed so we will be graded on a curve I went from a 51% to a 68%

We had a blind student in our class who asked her about receiving digital copies of the classwork so she could use her braille keyboard. Rated her in 2022 but I'll rate her again. Did not use UR Courses. No idea what my grade was going into the final. Final was absurd; we had to write two essays during the exam. 3 and 4 paragraphs (30% and 40% weight respectively), closed-book though we had to quote the books. Included another paragraph, short ans, and multi choice. 3 hrs. Don't.

I took AP English throughout high school, thinking it would prepare me for this class. Sherry treats her students with ZERO respect, expecting it though from us. The final was almost impossible to do in 3 hours: writing 2 essays and short answer questions. If you can, try and take this class with another teacher- it was not enjoyable.

If I could give her a negative number for the rating I would. First day she told a blind student she would have to take a zero on all in class assignments because she doesn't believe in computers. She had random definitions on the final the she had only mentioned once in class and the final had two essays and a few pages of short answer questions.

This professor was absolutely awful. She had an awful attitude and would call everyone out in front of the class about their grades. She would harass me constantly for not having a physical copy of the textbooks (it was my first semester of uni) and told me I “should've known”. She was extremely mean and would borderline bully her students.

Rudest person I have ever met in my entire life. I asked if she wanted my assignment submitted online or on paper, or both and she replied with "something I can read." She also proceeded to pick up an essay a student from the previous class printed for her and claimed the essay would be given a poor mark because the paper had a small crease.

The course structure was very challenging. Pop quizzes often covered material before it was taught, with explanations coming afterward. Quiz rules were very strict, and grades were not clearly communicated before the final. Be prepared to do a lot of reading outside of class.
