Had Dr Lane at umsl as she taught the 6707 class. I do not think I have ever had as much fun in such a boring class. Her family and professional experiences were so informative. Not things one would read in a textbook. She made me a better teacher as she taught me you can be a good teacher and still be nic to your students.

Dr. Lane responds to all emails and phone calls almost immediately. With this being an online class that is wonderful that she does this. Her feedback for my online class was the best I have ever gotten. I like many students did not want this class to end. Even now I think of some of the Discussion Posts. I am posting this because I tried to get her class in fall 2020 and cannot find one she is teaching.

What I especially liked about Dr. Lane is the way she comments on almost everything submitted. One thing she wrote included a comment about our life journey. I many times think about her comment, "We do not need to become our past." In other words we can change. I have always wondered if because of my past I was going to fail in the future.

I remember Dr. Lane from the in person class. Funny, professional and attractive. Not sure what attractive has to do with anything but it just makes our profession seem better. Some professors look as if they just got out of bed! So unprofessional!

I checked that attendance is not mandatory in that this is an online class. We were able to work at our own pace but still needed to participate. What I liked best was the private comments she made to me personally. Her knowledge as a counselor and professor were worth. more than the textbooks.

I actually saved a comment Dr.Lane made to me. I do not have enough space to post the complete comment, but it sits on my mirror to read daily and pertains to why we focus on the negative and how to overcome that. Dr. Sherry Lane actually had classes that pertained to real life situations and I appreciated the comments on each one of my submissions. Her practical and intellectual knowledge was beyond what one would read in a textbook.

Loved being in Dr. Lane's class and the fact that you had a whole semester to submit work. Work at your own pace. However if you did not complete the work when the course closed you were not able to submit work due to grading requirements by the University . Dr. Lane was willing to help you as needed. I would take her class again!

Dr. Lane has real life experience in the field of Psychology and provide each of us with comments on a regular basis. We had the ability to share with the Discussion Board posts which proved to be up to date and many times more information than the textbook. I found this class educational and fun.

Just got finished taking Dr. Lane's EDPsy course and was very impressed with the material that I learned. As a working student I appreciated Dr. Lane's flexible course. Her feedback was almost always positive and inspired me to try and do my best. Many professors just tell you what you did wrong and you feel defeated.

I took Dr. Lane's course while I was doing my internship for teaching and found this course a welcome addition to many courses as it applied to what I was doing in the "real" world. The supplementary power points were even better than the textbook ones as they were again easily applied to the real world. She is the best!

I always thought I was a middle child and Dr. Lane after reading my submission corrected me and now I see that I am actually a first born (being over 10 yrs before sibling born). I always suspected!
