I dont understand what the last 2 comments were about, but im thinking either they didnt do well or didnt like her personally. She is a very nice teacher and person. She will help in any way she can. As long as you do your HW everything else is pretty straight-forward, she will curve if she sees you

I thought her class was very enjoyable. She helped with any questions I had and did whatever she could to make this class the easiest possible. I would recommend her to anybody and would tell them that you have to study but she helps you along with that.

Dr. Mirbod is an extremely knowledgable professor and wants her students to succeed. She is easily approachable and always helpful. Her lectures make good use of multimedia and discussion. BUT in accounting you MUST study and do homework. Earlier comments likely from those who did neither and received a poor grade as a result. Great Professor.

She is the best I've ever had. I took her last semester and took her again this sememster. If you want to learn accounting take her. I don't know what the other two were talking about. She does not want you to go on the internet to disturb other students. She is very knowledgable and helps you understand.

She's really nice and has no problem answering questions. She's kinda strict about the homework though, she kinda checks it at the beginning. Also, unlike other teachers she only puts on the test, stuff that she has gone over in class.

Although some may have to get used to her accent, she is the best acctng professor I have had at MC so far. If you have a ques, she will answer you, give an example, make sure you understand. She expects her students to do their best. If you do your hmwk, redo it while studying and use her review sheet, you have no excuse to do poorly. I recommend!

What an outstanding teacher! The best I've ever had - so sweet and caring and guided me through every step in the course. She may not be the easiest, but she is extremely knowledgeable and makes sure you actually learn the material. Very fair and helpful - she is the best!

Great Teacher. Highly recommend. Extremely helpful. Not the easiest class. Took her for AC 201 got an A and AC 202 got a B. If you show up for class you will learn. Grades depend on the tests so show up and do the HW and you'll do well.

I absolutely loved her class. She is so helpful and tries hard to mjake sure students understand what she is teaching. I wasn't so interested in taking this class but Im glad I did. Just make sure you pay attention to the questions that she keeps going over cos a similar one would be on the test.

She is a very sweet teacher, but the class is very difficult. I took AC201 with her and got a B then I took 202 with her and failed now I have to take the class again! I would recommend her only if you can teach yourself. Just make sure that you have a lot of spare time to study for tests and do the homework

She is a great teacher, she gives extra credit and there are only 3 test plus homework. She expects a lot from her students. She also helps you when you need it. I would say she is one of my favorite professors at MC. One thing though you need to go to all the classes and study hold; accounting in no joke. Take it from me lol.

She explains the materials clearly. My concern to her is that even tough she gives the study guide, do not expect everything to be on the text. You really have time to study to pass her class.She ask a lot of questions on the lecture and gives lot of questions on the problems.

Excellent prof. I have her now for AC 201 and registered for her AC 202 next semester. she is very nice and helpful but you have to study, do the online homework and ask questions. if you are lazy u will have difficulties. If you listen u will learn alot about accounting. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Unless you have taken accounting before, I suggest you read the book. I started reading the book for the second exam and I got an A. I had no prior knowledge to accounting, but her study guides and assignments really helped. I'm taking her again for ACCT222.

Professor Mirbod was a great teacher! She is a very nice lady, and understands students. I took Managerial Accounting during the summer from her, and she is by far the best accounting professor that I have taken from! She genuinely cares and wants you to do well. Managerial is hard, but if you take it from her and do the homework, you will be fine!

Professor Mirbod is an excellent professor due to many reasons. She is the coordinator of the accounting exams for MC and helps with providing guidance on how to study for the exams. i took this course in the summer and it was very demanding. She explains things clearly until you understand the problem, but for accounting, don't expect to rely on the professor to learn everything, you have to read the book (at least 2 times each chapter) and practice the problems she assigns. easy A.

This class is a killer. I thought that if I stayed on top of my game with studying and practicing, I'd get an A. I was wrong, even after my days of studying I still did poorly on the tests, which make up for the majority of the grade. She's a nice person to chat with, but she gives no curves or ground so if you do bad, be prepared to get hit hard.

Ok I'll start off by saying I failed acct 221 the first time. Accounting is no joke and having a professor that gave so much homework on top of pop quizzes, my grade tanked. This class is self taught!! I took Mirbod in the summer, 3 months of work condensed into a month. This course was straightforward, bare bone material none of that waste of time

Dr. Mirbod is great! Even though we had to meet via zoom, she was extremely helpful in responding to our questions. She knows the subject and her lectures were clear and allowed us to ask questions. Her study guide is great. Read the textbook and do your WileyPlus homework, which is not difficult, you will get an A.

As a DSS student Dr. Mirbod was really patient with me! She is a great professor. I took her during the summer 2020 (COVID) and she works really will with remote teaching. If you do your homework on WileyPlus and participate in class or on zoom and you will do Great! Take her! But make sure you do your work and you will pass her class. Good luck!

I took Professor Mirbod for ACCT201 during summer 2023. She was so nice and very easy to communicate with. You can tell she cares about her students learning. Don't be afraid to ask questions! 100% recommend taking any of her classes.

75% of the grade is 3, 2-hour, highly confusing exams. As an asynchronous student, we had to do a lot of learning by ourselves, which was fine, but you have to know the content extremely well if you want to do well on quizzes/exams, as the strict time limits are not on your side. Mirbod responds quickly to emails and seemed very understanding.

She is so kind. Truly so kind. If she sees that you are putting in the effort and participating, she will help you out. Everything's online, we used Wiley Plus, last questions on the exam are 50% of the exam grade so you cannot miss those. I love her, I do not love her teaching style or the test heaviness.
