Makes herself and assignments very clear. Knows exactly what she's doing and it is VERY easy to understand why we do what we do. Those who don't have the capacity to understand such simplicity, should not be in college.

The thing about her is that you have to do the homework because that counts for a good grade. There's a lot of it though! Her tests are not too horrible. She kinda loses you in class sometimes because she doesn't even know what she is doing sometimes. But, she can be funny sometimes. Just attend class every day.

It was an easy class. It was the first A I have ever gotten in a math class. The homework is not very difficult and her tests aren't either. I had a C in intermediate algebra but i got an A in her class.

I thought the woman was hilarious. Was the most interesting math teacher I've ever had. Made the subject a tad more interesting, especially by relating range and domain to ****s and hoes, I will never forget that one.

Prof. Ray is an awesome person. She is light hearted and genuinely cares that you have a life outside of college. BUT can be a little scattered at times. Organization is Not her strong suit. I would love to hang out with her as a friend, but don't think I could do another math class as a student of hers. :(

I really have enjoyed being in class. She is very understanding about whats going on in your life, if your having problems. She will give you extra credit if needed. She will let you take tests in the test center when you missed a day or need more time to take a test. She is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is a great teacher! I have ALWAYS had problems with algebra. I will have an A in this class because of her! I did not need to use the math lab or a tutor! She may seem a little unorganized at times but we all are. She is a professor you can have a real conversation with. She cares and wants her students to do well.

Algebra is my best subject and I made an A in this class. Her lectures are pretty straight forward. But she is very easy to get off topic and acts like she has had way too much coffee. That being said her tests are very easy. If you go to every class and pay attention you should do well.

Went to Westmoore, and if you took Calc BC, this class will be a piece of cake. She is very sweet and funny but she gets off of track every once in awhile. Make sure to come to class and get the study guides for the test it's super helpful!

I loved her class, she goes at a slow pace and goes over the material in detail, she is there to help you when you need help. Her test are average not hard if you study. Homework is extra credit which is awesome! Good professor to take if your not really good in math.

This class is really easy. The review she gives you before each test is very similar to the actual exam. If you put in effort you should be able to ace this class.

This class was one of the easiest you could get, but only because Ms. Ray made it easy. Other professors make this class extremely difficult, especially if you do not know how to use the calculator, but with Ms. Ray you can easily pass and learn something new/re-learn something old.

she was very easy. Take her if you suck and math and don't want to learn anything. She gives a half of a test grade worth of points for attendance (bonus points), lots of bonus on her tests, homework can be really late. She is very quirky. Because of all her extra credit I had 108% at one point in the semester. Really easy.

Proff Ray: its the best proffessor ever, if you want to have a good grade in this class do your homework, online homework, go to class, because attendance gives you points. she does a review of each exam also. She is very nice, she likes her math. I recommend her 100% GOOD LUCK!

Sherry Ray is one of the BEST teachers you can take! She goes out of her way to help and seems to really care about her students. While her class was anything but hard, it was mandatory to attend class for the group projects we did and for attendance grade too- which really helps at the end of the semester. I would recommend Sherry to anyone!!

I thought Contemporary Math was going to be so hard but with Ms. Ray, she made it the easiest class I had all semester. She has no tests and only quizzes. Basically you just fill out work sheets she goes over with you in class. She's very understanding, laid back, funny, and intelligent. I loved her class and her!

Sweetest professor at OCCC. Learned a lot in this class, as long as you take notes, come to class, and listen...You're golden. She's funny too!

Easiest blow off class ever. You basically show up and copy in your packet exactly what she writes out on the overhead. You also play card games and kiddy math games online. Her humor is dry but you only deal with it once a week. This class also transfers to OU for your Gen. Ed math requirement. Just show up and fill everything out and get an A.

Professor Ray is super nice and her class is insanely easy! You get extra credit for attending class and she gives you at least 20 bonus points that you can get through assignments. There are 10 quizzes but they are take home and she gives you the answers to most of the quizzes. Online homework is easy. There are only 3 tests and they are all easy.

Miss Sherry is a great professor. She is so funny and dedicated. She explains great and gives a lot of extra credit opportunity. She is friendly and ready to help students. Highly recommended.

Easy Class, especially for non math majors to fulfill the Math requirement

Was helpful and very easy as a teacher. I skipped most of my classes but had i not done that i would've passed with flying colors rather than a D. Ask for help and she will help you no matter what. Has amazing stories from her college days and also has a different way of teaching the concepts which made it super easy for me to understand.

Take this course if you are not very good at math. She takes a hands-on approach, and translates math into everyday situations. She is very laid-back, and some students take advantage of this. I took this course over the summer. There was no text, no tests, or homework. She lectures over notes for an hour, and then we have activities.

This was even easier than any high school math class, but I did learn some practical applications. She is an easy grader and never kept us the full class time. I definitely would recommend her.

Awesome Professor!

Professor Rays college algebra course is an easy A. Her tests are short and mirror the study guide she goes over in class. There are take home quizzes every now and then and a couple of online assignments due monthly. She is funny and always let us out early. Mostly she would write out concepts on the board and then do the online hw as examples.

Professor Rays class is a breeze! If you show up and pay attention you will get an A. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you get points for being there. She is very clear on how to do the problems and lets you know exactly what will be on the test. This is the second time I have taken a math class with her! Highly recommend.

This Professor is amazing. Her work is straight forward and so are activities. You find out your grade so there's no surprises. She is very hands-on and friendly so you do not have to worry about asking questions. Take her class. You won't be disappointed.

One of the easiest classes I've ever taken! She gives all kinds of extra credit, you can do extra assignments and you even get extra credit by just showing up for class. She gives you your average after every exam and even lets you take it in the test center without a penalty. The comprehensive final is optional & we always got out of class early!

Prof is very nice. when students ask she replies, "what's wrong hon", she treats her students just like her owns sons or daughters . Everybody in my class respect her a lot. She's so caring to students and students are very lucky to have him in her classes. She gives an outline. Online homework is unlimited attempt. Always replied email so fast!

I really enjoyed my semester with Sherry Ray. She is the best teacher ever! She was fair, caring and she treated all of her students the same. Not once did I have to go to her and ask what my grade was each time she pass out grades assignments you received your score, she stayed on top of her game. I will truely miss her Simms.

Professor Ray was my college algebra class and it was such an easy class. She is not strict at all and really nice. She always tries to make her class funny by saying a joke every now and then. Online homework on Pearson MathLab and gives lots of extra credit to bump test scores! Passed the class with a 106%! I would definitely take her again!

She is one that really cares about the success of her students. If you do not get an assignment let her know and she will make sure you do understand it. She is willing to take time out of her hectic schedule to assist students in need, not making them feel they are a burden on her.

if math isn't your strong suit, it doesn't matter. this professor makes math seem so easy and offers so many extra credit opportunities. although, you might be a little lost if you haven't used a graphing calculator is awhile. but if you have any questions she'd be happy to help. she's the best.

Very good professor, I thoroughly enjoyed her class! I found that a good grade was very easy to get, and she uses a TI-84 Plus a lot, so be sure to know the face of your calculator!

Ray is a really nice professor who has no problems going over things if you ask. She gives a ton of extra credit. Just do the packet she gives out and you do it everyday in class and she will throw a bonus of 10 points. Class is worth 500 points and I ended up passing with about 540 points. Professor Ray is the best math teacher I have ever had. I have never been great at math. I didn't struggle very much in her class. All of the hw is online. The hw can be a mixed bag but there are examples that match the problem so piece of cake. Tests aren't that hard as long as you study a little bit. She gives a crazy amount of extra credit too.

Professor Ray's lectures and examples are an accurate representation of the online homework, quizzes as well as, exams. She offers 10 points extra credit to each exam grade, if the study guide she provides is completed. If a student has a concern or question, she is willing to stay after class to help assist them. Her Functions and Modeling class is so so easy. It is all on my math lab and everything has examples and basically everything is participation besides the test. I could have literally made an A in this class in 5th grade. Tons of extra credit too which put me finishing well over 100%.

I struggled with math since elementary school through high school. I thought for sure this class was going to be so hard for me. Professor Ray's lectures and note sheets were so helpful and I actually understood what was being taught for once.

She was very sweet! I dreaded taking math and she made it into an easy-to-understand class. Always had something funny to say yet made sure to take the time to help everyone. Gave us plenty of resources on Moodle to help step by step through quizzes. You don't need a calculator, she shows you an online one that works great. Would take her again!

She was awesome. The instructions for what she expects are very clear. The program used to complete the homework is easy to navigate. Also, she uploads videos demonstrating how to solve the homework problems and explains it in a clear way. Don't get caught up on memorizing the vocab in this class.

(For context I am in her online course) I was so grateful that I actually went and thanked her in person. 10/10 I would recommend her to anyone and take any class she taught.

Professor Ray was amazing! I had her for Contemporary Math, which has some difficult objectives. She had a video explaining each concept in detail. She also went through each of the assignments herself and demonstrated how to complete the questions. Would definitely take one of her classes again!

She was always able to extend the due date when we were overwhelmed with homework and the exams, which really helped! 100% Recommend!

Professor Ray was amazing! l took the 8-week online course and it was helpful that she had clear guidelines. Math has always been a subject that l struggled in and surprisingly l passed! This course has NO quizzes or exams, all she asks is for you to do the homework (which is not hard at all) and stay on the timeline she has created.
