Prof. Blacksher is amazing! She is very knowledgeable and makes everybody in the class feel comfortable. She teaches in a manner that is easy to follow along. Explains until everybody understands. Wonderful class, outstanding professor!

Professor Blacksher is really nice. Her lectures are straightforward. Group questions each class period, so be there if you want to get credit. I just went over her lecture slides before each exam and they were fairly easy.

She is very thorough, specific, clear with her power points. However, she does go over them pretty fast. When you ask questions, she is very nice and responsive. She is very engaged with the students. You definitely have to pay attention to her notes. And if you want an A, you HAVE TO READ THE TEXT BOOK. Online quiz every week.

Shes an awesome professor who makes Statistics an easy class. If she was teaching research methods next semester I would definitely take her again. Please take her.

She is knowledgeable and has a fun personality. The biggest problem I had with the class was that her powerpoints get extremely boring. She basically teaches solely through powerpoints with info taken straight from the textbook but at least she sprinkles in fun activities here and there. Attendance is important, the textbook is absolutely needed.

Great instructor! Winter session classes are really long and can be boring, but I thought this class was a lot of fun. Lectures were long, but we did lots of activities and watched fun videos. If you want an A you definitely have to read the book. Homework and quizzes took a while, but made me study. Very helpful instructor.

This class was challenging, but so rewarding! I was scared of math and actually hated it. i have never been good at it. Prof. Blacksher gave me confidence! This is the first math class that I feel proud of my grade and feel like I really learned a lot. There was a lot of opportunity to work on assignments in class and get individual help.

Shes a great teacher and you can tell she truly loves her job. Its definately not an easy A you have to put effort to earn it but definately not impossible.

While she is knowledgable in psych, she comes off a bit snobby and "better than" the students. She does offer extra credit pretty regularly. She loves to elongate the lecture, she'll turn two sentences into 20 mins. Seriously. If you talk to her outside of class, she will offer you help. She doesn't respond to emails very often though.

Loved this teacher! Lectures were long, but lots of activities. Reading is a must. Gives great examples and was always available out side of class!

Summer classes are rough, but I really enjoyed this class because of the Prof. SHE IS AWESOME! There's a lot of lecture, but that typical of any class, especially summer. At least it was really interesting! We also watched a short video or did an activity almost everyday. Had fun review sessions for exams and really cared about students doing well.

Shiloh is a pretty great teacher--she gives great feedback and wants to help you succeed in the class. This class requires a lot of studying and the first exam is pretty tough. The homework is very tedious and time-consuming, but it is critical to complete if you want to pass. Make sure you do well on the reports and research, and you'll pass.

It was a pleasure being in Prof. Blacksher class this semester. Her lectures are fun and she uses analogies that are easy to understand. If you participate and do every online quiz which can be taken as many times possible SO GET PERFECTS & don't forget bc I did! DO EVERY quiz and you'll have a high chance for an A. SHE WANTS YOU TO DO WELL!!

Such a fun semester! Can't wait to take again! She is funny and helpful. Class is very interesting. It was more challenging than I thought it would be, but if you read and do the HW it is an eassy A.

I am not a psych major, but this ended up being my favorite class. It was discussion style, not lecture. Everyone had opportunities to participate and we did lots of activities.

Pretty easy class as long as you devote a little time . Instead of lectures it's discussion, It's recommended to read the chapter before you enter class each week. Sometimes makes us watch videos in class, but they aren't boring . They're actually pretty helpful. Super kind, funny, professor. Would recommend

Professor Blacksher was a good professor, I love how we had discussions rather than boring lectures. Though, one thing is that she can be a little rude at times. Other than that, the class was pretty easy. Only 3 tests, the final is the third test, and it is not a cumulative final so it was even better.

I took this class in WINTER. It is very helpful that I took biology before taking this course. Some biology in it. She likes to put trick questions onto her exams. The study guides and lecture videos are super helpful! She is a nice and understanding teacher, but sometimes she can be picky with her grading. Her teaching is pretty solid.

She is the best teacher! I took this class in winter, and we did the readings/hw (easy) at home, and we would discuss it in class the next day. Tests were straightforward and easy, got an A on all of them. Ask her any question and she'll respond in an extremely helpful way. Textbook required, extra credit given, study guide given and its super fun!

Loved this class! We watch videos and did reading before class. Then in class we discussed and did tons of activities. I was excited to come to class everyday. Even the way she did the quizzes was a lot of fun. Would definitely take again!

She is a great professor and is very helpful to her students but you must be willing and have the time for the extra work. I took her winter session and struggled to keep up with homework and extra studying because of having to go to work. Love the way class was set up by having discussions and doing activities, I just wasn't prepared when going in

I took her for an online summer course and I would honestly recommend her to anyone! It is the easiest A, all you do is complete the online homework given and you're set. She's not a tough grader as long as you follow the rubric. Never really read the textbook other than for the LaunchPad Activities, and theres only a midterm and then the final.

I took her for winter & was pretty scared at first. But she was such an awesome prof! Honors is discussion based so she wanted everyone to participate but also made everyone understood the subject matter and made class really interesting. There is homework and a lot of reading but she reviews most everything in class. Really enjoyed having her!

Prof Blacksher has a methodical, step by step, way of teaching which makes it easy to follow along. She has an organized schedule and detailed syllabus. She tries to make stats fun and engaging. She also gives a lot of resources and extra credit opportunities. There's a lot of homework and stuff to practice / understand though.

This was the most organized online class. There were tons of videos to help understand the material. If you don't do well thats really on you, this professor gives so many opportunities to exceed. It was a lot of reading, but ir was a winter class so thats kinda what you should expect.

Easiest online class ever. Super organized an clear expectations. Directions were clear, honestly the only time i missed points was when I didn't follow directions or turn something in. This class made me love psychology.

This was a hard class. I think taking it in person might be better, or maybe just in the normal semester instead of in six weeks. There are a lot of challenging concepts to learn on your own. The prof does provide a lot of videos and other resources for studying though. Assignments are clear, and gives good feedback. I would take again.

This prof is really good but I have one little thing- She says "Riiiiight?" at least 75 times per class. It is at the end of every sentence. You can't unhear it.

I have never liked a math class before I had Prof. Blacksher. Take her for PSYC 10 you will not regret it. She takes her time and wil make you feel confident.

She's an amazing math teacher. Her class is really easy because she explains things so well and makes the exams way easier than the homework problems. If you understand the homework, you will get A's on all her exams. Usually I am a terrible math student, but I this professor made math feel easy!

She has a clear grading criteria & does NOT accept late work. I believe she is fair when grading assignments. This is definitely a class that you need to plan out assignments and complete in a timely manner. overall the material was very interesting!

Learning Math online during a pandemic was hard. This teacher made it possible. She was so organized. She created so many videos, was flexible, and met with me virtually whenever i needed help.I would highly recommend you take her!

this was the most amazing math teach I have had. She actually made statistic interesting. I have no idea what the person saying she ranted off topic is talking about. I remember that topic, it was a research study we used as an example to discuss a concept. Maybe they weren't paying attention. LOL I liked that she used interesting examples.

I haven't taken math in 5-ish years. She answered any questions, went thoroughly over material, and had extra videos of work! It's a scary subject when youre bad at math, but she was incredibly helpful! Transitioned online greatly. Its a LOT of work, but it made me understand everything better! Make sure you have time to really study

This class was so interesting! Prof. Blacksher was not very challenging. Structure of class was very organized. Same types of assignments every week. You definitly have to take time to read, but she provides so many helpful materials and videos. I recommend her. Loved this class!

I HATE math! This professor was amazing. She not only made the material so clear, she gave me the confidence to do math. She is so nice. Always available for questions. Moving online made it hard, but she provided so many videos of her working out problems so we could do it with her. I could not have been more thankful. She is amazing!

Math has always been super intimidating but professor Blacksheir made everything so clear and understanding. She explains everything so good and carefully, but not going to lie, labs were so confusing, still manageable and you get credit for trying.

Math has always been my toughest subject but Professor Blacsher made it easy to understand. She provides in-depth videos for solving homework and lab assignments and is accessible if you get stumped on a problem. Labs were tough but not too hard. The assignments were very lengthy but it helped you learn the work for the exams and final.

Absolutely love this professor. She is one of the the best no doubt. She is super organized and answers just about any question you can think of beforehand. You do need to do everything she assigns though, it is a lot of textbook reading with comprehension questions but I can guarantee you will learn something new every time you open the book.

She was such a great math teacher. Normally math is intimidating and stressful but she made the information feel really accessible. I learned so much and she was always available to help or answer questions. She does office hours once a week and answered questions fast on canvas or email. Homework can be a lot so make sure not to procrastinate.

Lowest test, quiz, SPSS lab, and homework are dropped. Records lecture & provides a lot of extra examples for each chapter. Her class really helped me understand statistics!

Loved this prof! I was really scared to take math, and helped build my confidence that I could do it. The class was a lot of work, but it is 4 units and has a lab. Prof gave sample study plans and had due date that were always consistent. The class was very well organized. This was the first time I actually enjoyed a math class.

She's the best math teacher I've ever had. Her lectures were pretty interesting and easy to follow. Even if you're not good at math, this class shouldn't stress you out too much. I would definitely take again!

Very good teacher and easy to understand. However, she gives lots of homework that are time consuming. Plus, mandatory videos on top of everything after we attended class that are way too long, which are helpful but too long ! Plus exta assignment and quizzes

I was scared to take this math class online. But it is better than many in person math classes. Prof Blacksher posts videos and guides you through every step. You can tell she puts in a ton of work to help students. There are a lot off assignments but most are based on effort and I enjoyed have lots of practice before a test.

My class was hybrid. There were several assignments each week but we only met in person for 3 hours instead of 6. So one of the assignments is the remaining lecture, not homework. Once I got used to this the format made a lot of sense. Class was super organized. I like that I was graded on trying and not always getting it right the first time.

Super easy class! Weekly chapter readings, discussion posts based off the chapters and chapter quizzes to end the week. The schedule is the same every week so there really is no reason NOT to pass, unless you don't do assignment or understand the material. She does not accept late assignments, but does have lots dropped assignments and extra credit

I wouldn't say this class was super easy, but it is the best experience I have ever had in a math class. Prof. Blacksher explains things so well. You can really tell she cares a lot about her students. She is always there to help if you get stuck. I highly recommend taking her!!

HW was credit/no credit so I never felt afraid to try even though math is scary for me. This was the first math I did well in. There were lots of resources and Prof. Blacksher was always there to help!

If you have doubts about your ability or have not taken any math class for a long time, I suggest Prof Blacksher. She does give a lot of HW and Videos to watch, BUT IT WILL HELP YOU! She is fair in grading by dropping the lowest score on all types of assignments/quizzes/exams. (NOT FINALS). Take advantage of the extra credit!

TAKE THIS PROF! I have never been good at math and was really worried to take the class online. She provided so many videos to show us how to do problems step by step. I like that there is still interaction with classmates. There is a lot of work to practice problems, but I know I need it and it makes exams easy. Highly recommend!

I was really worried taking stats online. Prof. Blacksher was the best. I never thought I could get an A in math. She is an amazing teacher. There is a lot of homework but the practice pays off. Tests look just like the homework. She has so many resources and was always available for extra help.

Took intro online during summer. As long as you read and and participate in weekly discussions, this class was a pretty easy A. Has weekly discussions and several short papers. Paper topics were actually interesting and kinda fun to write. Drops a few assignments. I like the way we did discussions. Great teacher! Would take again.

Loved her class, she made statistics extremely easy but you have to put in the work. You must watch the lectures and not fall behind. This class is easy if you simply keep up with the work, there are lots of opportunities for extra credit and she grades hw based on participation. Her lectures were great, I'd recommend her 100%

Though she has a load of assignments it makes it easier to understand the concepts, many of which are based on completion. Her videos are very helpful and full of notes. Offers a lot of extra credit opportunities.

Loved this Prof! There was a lot of HW but it was all practicing the formulas. Her videos for an online class were so good. I was nervous to take it online but there was lots of interaction and it was easy to get help. This class definitely requires you to stay on top of assignments or you will fall behind. Canvas was super organized.

I took this class hybrid which was new to me. Although there was a lot of work, the professor explained things very clearly and u could tell she cared about everyone doing well. Don't skip class! Participation matters and a few people were mad they lost points at the end for having skipped a lot classes and in class points. If u do the work u pass.

This class might seem overwhelming at first, but trust me stick with it and Professor Blacksher will make it easy for you to understand the concepts of each chapter. Participation is required & note taking is a must. I rented the textbook, but never used it.

Really enjoyed this class! It was pretty easy. Had to read the chapter and watch videos and then contribute to a discussion. The discussions used a tool I wasn't familiar with but ended up liking way more than the usual discussion board. Prof Blacksher was cool and seemed to really care. Would definitely take a class with her again!

Prof. Blacksher has honestly helped me regain confidence in math. Her way of lectures are extremely straight forward and extremely clear which helps understanding topics that might feel daunting. Homework can be a little time consuming but luckily it's one assignment a week. You get weekly quizzes but multiple attempts to get it right as well

I took this as a hybrid class and was nervous. Prof. Blacksher was awesome and I am much more confident in my math ability than I was at the beginning. This is a class where you get out what you put in. There are weekly assignments and HW, but it allowed me to practice without fear of messing up. I wish I would have taken the class sooner!

I can not recommend this prof enough! This was the most organized hybrid class I have ever had. I was scared to take it but I am so glad I did. Having a weekly meeting kept me on track. There were so many helpful videos. If you attend class and do the work I think it would be hard not to pass. She takes late work and drops some stuff.

I highly recommend taking PSYC 10 with Professor Blacksher. Her intentionality and level of care is evident throughout the whole class. My class was asynchronous, therefore going to class was critical. If you put in effort and follow each module you can do well in the class. There is a lot of extra credit offered. Overall, great class.

Genuinely such a great teacher, and one of the easiest and most interesting classes that I have taken. The biggest thing about this class is participating in discussions questions online and reading each chapter thoroughly. Final is cumulative so make sure to take some good notes throughout the course. Got a 101% in the class overall.

Took 1A over the summer and it was a fun class. Lot's of discussions around the reading. Used a free textbook which was nice! Dropped a few assignments and gave choices for the writing topics. I thought the workload was really reasonable for a summer course. Really liked how organized and responsive Prof. Blacksher was. Highly recommend!

Great professor. This class was hell but as someone who hates math, she made every concept easy to understand so it helped so much. Super lecture heavy and lots of HW, I took the class as a hybrid which is honestly the best choice if you're gonna take this class. This course requires a lot of work but the prof is amazing.

Took her online class and wasn't expecting to actually learn so much. It does kind of suck how the reading is not even on canvas but on a whole different site. Made it kind of confusing at first but once you settle in you'll be okay. I emailed her a couple times, she's stern in my opinion but not a bad professor.

This professor is very informative and structures her class with great detail, she does her lectures via perusall and it's a video of her going through the chapter and breaking down each equation step by step, which in my opinion is very helpful. Perusall is a interactive grading system. She does assign a lot of HW but its helpful. Easy A forsure.

Best math class I have ever had. I am not a psych major but my counselor recommended this class and prof. She explained everything so well. It is a lot of work, but if you do the assignments there is no way not to succeed. The videos and interaction is some of the best I have seen in an online class. She provided so many reminders and feedback.

I am not a psych Major, but I was told to take this class instead of a math class. She is one of the best teachers you can have, she makes her own lectures, explains the chapter well, and she is very caring when it comes to your grade and assignments. I promise you will never fail if you take this class, keep up with the assignments & you'll pass!!

Plz listen to me! Shes the best prof. Gives all the material needed for hw and lectures all you need to bring is a pencil. Would def recommend! Hw every week but super easy.

Professor Blacksher is great in terms of explaining and actually learning in her class. Each week we had a lecture video (2-3hrs), guided video (20-1:30), quiz (10 questions), and homework. Course is much easier if you have access to a printer. Although there's a hefty work load she offers A LOT of extra credit so take advantage of that.
