He is so funny! I enjoyed his sense of humor. As long as you make sure you do your homework, you will get decent grade easily.
There are no problems worked over in class to be sure that you understand, Lots of self teaching if you don't understand. But he gives you lecture notes to print which helps and tests are formatted like homework so do your homework!! I liked him, he genuinely cares if you have a question and has a great sense of humor. His accent didn't bother me.
Four Tests throughout the year, top three scores are your Final grade!
He is a wonderful guy and is very friendly. However, in this class a study group is almost Mandatory. It takes an adjustment on the lectures at first because he has a pretty thick accent and he goes over alot of material since its a one day a week class. If you miss one day you miss a lot. If you have questions hes good at responding to emails.
Great professor, and very organized lecture. If you really focus on the lecture and study ahead of time for exams then you should expect an A. Good luck and have fun :)
Great Professor. Lectures are on point and the tests are easy if you study and review your homework. Study ahead of time to pass. Oh, and he's really funny.
Gives the opportunity to understand the rubrics and homework is not turned in
He not only explains the syllabus thoroughly, but he also sticks to it as much as he can. He doesn't use up all the class hours intended for the class; however, he does make it a point that all the critical and important discussions are covered, explained, and understood within the time period. He uploads succinct and concise lecture notes...
Very good teacher he tries to be as clear as possible and really wants you to succeed. Just do the homework and you should be fine.
It was a Very cool and good class . The Professor was helpful and nice . He answered all you questions . He was there for the students all the time . He helps the students to understood any equation stop with them . He makes everything clear .
Easy pass clas if you do your homework. Although he has a heavy asian accent he is pretty funny.
Do your Homework because exams are based off of it.
He taught clearly and you will be fine for the test as long as you do the homework since the homework problems are very similar to the exam. The one thing about the class is that the entire grade rests on four tests so if you are unsure of your test taking abilities, then another professor might be better for you.
The tests are problems taken from the homework examples, so it makes it very reasonable to study for the exams. You know which concepts are covered and you can really focus on understanding the material this way.
Great teacher has an accent but you will understand him quickly, he is a funny guy and he actually makes it easy and good. I barely passed math 253, but i think i'm going to get an A in this class cause it makes sense!
Easy A. Slow pace. Nice teacher.
Professor provides handwritten lecture notes and homework online to give students time during class to follow along and ask questions to better understand concepts. Professor has a heavy accent that may be difficult to understand at times. Drops the low test score, grade based on exam scores. Do the HW, the questions are basically the exams.
Professor K was great, and I really enjoyed taking his class. He is willing to help with any questions you might have and will go over homework questions with you. We didn't need to buy a textbook, and he uploaded all the notes and other materials we might need online. There are a total of four tests, and the best three will be counted.
Very concise. He's very nice and funny, and has no problem explaining something again should you need to ask for help. There is homework but your grade rests on the exams because he does not collect homework. However, the exam questions are extremely close to the homework ones, so I would do the homework!!
He is very clear in terms of what he wants you to know and what will be covered in tests. He takes roll each class so you better be there.
Great professor. If you attend each class and listen to lectures and do homework you will pass, he also drops your lowest test grade! tests are very similar to hw. good teacher and funny too & let's you out of class early most nights.
Professor Kuang is excited about Statistics, and he wants you to be excited too. He goes the extra mile to help you succeed. He gives you the notes, so you are able to focus on his lecture. He really wants you to succeed.
Easy if you don't miss class. Loved the no mandatory homework.
good professor
This class is definetely worth taking. Kuang may be slightly difficult to understand at first, but you quickly get used to it. He is very nice and sometimes even funny, and he is always willing to stay after to answer people's questions. If you do the homework, it is really not that hard of a class to get an A, and he offers a few EC opprotunities.
Good Guy! Need to do your homework and make sure you leave time to ask questions. Memorize the homework for the quiz. Print out lecture and bring to class just so that you can add your own notes to be clearly and fix his mistakes.
He is an easy-going guy. Just make sure to read his lectures and ready for tests.
hard to understand what he is trying to say but he does really good at problem solving
Funny respectful guy
The class isn't terribly hard, just make sure you pay attention in lecture and do the homework. He pulls his exam questions straight from the homework and lecture and may change the numbers. Easy A if you at least do those things. Didn't use a textbook, just his lecture notes.
Nice teacher.
Great teacher. Do homework and you'll do good in the tests. Very helpful when you ask questions. No need for textbook, he provides clear cut notes.
nice teacher
The professor is very helpful. If you have a question or don't understand something he'll help you out.
amazing and funny teacher
Professor Kuang was very clear throughout the semester on everything that would occur during the class. There are no surprises and I greatly appreciated that. All of your grade is based on tests, but as long as you complete and understand the homework, you will have no problems. Is more than willing to answer any questions and help students!
He has no textbook and gives little examples to what the content is. However the test come straight from the homework so homework is a must.
Explains the problems very well. He makes sure you understand the concepts before he moves on. Homework is given but not graded. Homework problems are very similar to exam, so i would suggest doing your hw. The only points given in the class are from the exams (4). Lowest score is dropped. Takes attendance
nice teacher and passionate.
He only grades off the Exams
overall a very good professor that was able to deliver the content in a timely fashion
His accent is pretty heavy and difficult to understand sometimes but he jokes about it which makes lecture more interesting / entertaining. He gives you lecture notes to print. If you don't understand he will try his hardest to help you understand. He takes attendance every class. Grading is overall fair.
Book is not needed. All lecture notes are provided before class starts. All tests are from the Homework assignments, so if you do the homework multiple times you will be able to get an A. Recommendation to professor: On the answer pages for the homework, please show all work -- so your students can understand how to get to the final answer.
Took this class because it's necessary to transfer to a CalState. This class is pretty tough. However, Professor Kuang's lectures are lengthy and informative. If you struggle at all, it's easy to reach out to him for help because he wants his students to do well. Overall, I recommend this class. But pay attention and do the homework!
Very straight forward teacher, do your homework and know how to do it well and you will do good in the class.
Good professor! If you do the homework you will be fine for the test, test questions come from the homework he assigns.
Great at explaining the lecture. If you do all the homework and study the homework, you will do well on the tests. Must attend all classes, he takes roll every class. He drops 1/4 tests. Your whole grade depends on test scores.
Dr. K is awesome. Grades based on the tests. He does not grade hw, but definitely recommend doing it since the test is very similar to the hw. No need to take lecture note, he has it ready for you to print. Responds to email promptly. Helpful. You know what to do get A - Show up for the class, do hw, and study for the test. I enjoyed his class.
I highly recommend taking stats from Professor Kuang! The homework is almost exactly like the tests, so if you understand the homework, you will get an A. Better yet, if you do well on the first three exams, you don't have to take the final which is AMAZING if you are taking another difficult class. Tests are multiple choice too which is nice!
Do homework! Tests are based on knowledge of homework. If you confidently work out homework problems you will pass tests. Plain and simple!
Good teacher; really wants to help, you just have to ask specific questions. DO THE HOMEWORK -- It is exactly what's on the test! Attendance is required, homework isn't but DO IT! Didn't use textbook too much but others have told me it helped them a lot.
He is a nice professor, and I believe he wants to be helpful. His teaching style did not match my learning style. Takes the best 3 test scores, so if you do well on the first 3 you do not need to take the last one. Attendance is mandatory. His lecture notes are hard to read.
Professor Kuang makes statistics a lot more interesting and provides many real life scenarios where statistics will be needed, so learn something!
The class is well planned and you know what to expect as far as the amount of homework. I am horrible at math though, and this class is extremely confusing. I wish he would work through an entire problem but once it get to the algebra (which I haven't taken in years) he leaves it for you to figure out. I did not do well in this class.
The only reason I had trouble understanding his lectures was because of the accent, very helpful teacher who cares a lot though.
Homework is given but not graded which is nice. The tests are based on the homework so doing it is a must. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does take roll after the break. I missed 2 classes and did terribly on a test so I recommend going to every class. He's easy going, nice, and very willing to help. I would take a class with him again if I had
Overall a great professor, just a little hard to understand at times.
Tests come from the homework!
He has a thick Asian accent, but I did not find that it got in the way of my understanding. He does try to slow down and explain things again if it seems like the class is having a hard time understanding. His tests were fair and based on homework. If you can do the homework without looking at notes, you will get a high grade on the tests.
Great class! It might take you a class or two to get used to Professor Kuang's accent, but once you do you should be fine. Come to class every week, print out the lecture notes and bring them to class, and do all of the homework (it is not mandatory, but it is a good way to study since most of the test questions come from the homework).
This professor goes above and beyond for his students. Homework is optional but i would suggest doing it because the tests are based off homework. I hate math, but this class is very straight forward. Go to class, do the work, and you should be able to pass.
Grading criteria is Clear! 4 Tests total; lowest one dropped. Each test counts as 33.33% of the Final Grade. Homework is for your own benefit, but is not graded.
The instructor is pleasant, but is very difficult to understand. Although he provides lecture notes, you must diligently listen and take your own notes. You cannot rely on his lecture notes because some of the questions on the homework assignments are not covered in the lecture notes.
While at times he was hard to understand, he goes above and beyond to try and help students understand. I may be repeating this class, but not because he did not do a great job. It is because I am slow at this stuff.
Content can get confusing, so do not be afraid to ask questions. If help is needed just ask, professor will always respond. The grade is based on 4 exams, with your lowest score being dropped. So, if you are not a good test taker do not take this class.
Do homework and you will do well on tests, questions are from homework.
if you show up to class and do the homework given the tests should be a breeze.
You will pass if you do the homework and show up to class. He does have a heavy accent, but he is not difficult to understand, just ask him to repeat himself or clarify if you're confused. He's pretty funny and drops the lowest test out of 4! I recommend him.
The class is hard, but definitely not impossible as long as you truly study.
Professor kuang is a great teacher who cares about his students. He does his best to explain hard material. Make sure to do the hw because it will prepare you for the test. He provides students with good examples!
He gives 4 tests total, drop one (even final) Those are your entire grade. DO THE HOMEWORK. The same problems from the homework are the ones you'll see on the test, the numbers are just changed. He gives you a formula page to print out so you dont have to guess which ones you'll use and which ones you wont. You just have to know how to apply them.
He is a great Stats teacher, he is super easy also and makes sure you learn it. His test are exactly like homework so that makes it easier.
Once you get past his accent, the class is quite easy. Just show up and listen, then do the homework multiple times. The assignments aren't that long and even though they aren't for credit, the questions on the test are pulled straight from them.
very nice teacher, put in the work, if you don't , then you won't pass
This Professor is highly educated and intelligent, however I have found it difficult to understand certain parts of the lecture. This is due to English being his second language. He is a great communicator and teacher, however I find myself confused at times when he is explaining a concept.
He has his own Web page for the class instead of blackboard
Easy to pass as long as you are willing to actually study and show up to lectures. The homework does not count as credit but the test questions are the exact same as the homework questions with different numbers. Tough, but not impossible.
One of the better teachers at this school. Do the homework and you'll pass. Quiz is based off of homework.
He is a good statistics teacher. You can expect to pass the class if you do the homework which is not for credit unfortunately. He drops the lowest test score INCLUDING the final.
Professor Kuang is overall a good teacher. All the tests are taken straight from homework problems. At the end of the semester he drops your lowest exam score.
Super nice guy - cares about material & students, but not the best experience as a teacher. He has all lecture notes already written out where you print out prior to class - helpful if you miss. He teaches stats more in a speaking, lecture way, rather than step-by-step-example-on-board way. Needless to say, I rely on YouTube videos to explain.
If you do the homework its an easy A on the exams. He is difficult to understand because of his accent but nonetheless he is a funny guy. I would recommend taking this class. If you do the HW its an A guaranteed. I bought the text book but never used it.
This class is easy as long as you do the hw. He has 4 test and drops your lowest score. As long as you do they hw then you know the test. Glad I took him!
He is a pretty fair professor. As long as you prepare using the homework you should be able to get through the class. He drops the lowest test out of four. I wish we spent more time in class doing a few more examples in class, but all around he is a great teacher.!
Professor Kuang is very straight and honest in his lecturing. Only 4 exams (drops the lowest exam score) that is based solely off the homework. Does not grade homework either, but it is highly recommended to do it.
good teacher. material is easy to understand
Great teacher but his accent was too hard to understand even in his notes.
Professor Kuang has a clearing grading criteria. Lectures are taught everyday so you should not miss class. Only 4 exams (drops the lowest exam score), based on homework. Recommend to ask for help if needed it can get hard, if you have a full time job I do not recommend to take the evening class it is a lot to comprehend you need to be awake.
Professor Kuang is a pretty good teacher. Only 4 exams (drops the lowest exam score. You need to attend in order to pass the class because the lectures are somewhat lengthy. He does have a Chinese accent that may cause difficulties in understanding him, but ask questions and he will happily help you out.
Fair. Tests primarily based off of homework. Quickly responds to emails. Tests slightly difficult but if you do the homework you will be fine. If you miss class you may miss out on alot. Book only used to clarify things. Mostly used lecture notes. Nice guy overall, really tries to make sure his students understand the material. Not much EC
He is really a nice guy, but his accent makes the content really difficult, and his notes often make no sense.
He is super nice. He is a bit hard to understand at times but that is his only negative in my opinion. He drops the lowest grade out of 4 tests. The tests come straight from the homework he doesn't require you to do. Basically if you show up and understand how to do every problem on the homework you should be fine. I strongly recommend him.
The Professor has a great accent, and makes the class enjoyable. He wants you to succeed. He supplies the notes, and the homework answers. Attend the class, pay attention, and pass the course.
Very nice guy. Material was a bit tough, but its a pretty straight forward class.
Very nice teacher! However he is a bit hard to understand at times due to his accent and his notes/lectures are mostly examples which he explains in class. His tests are almost exactly like the homework so if you can do the homework you'll do well.
Learn the homework, which is not graded, and you'll do fine on the tests. He drops the lowest of four test scores, so get an A on the first three and you don't have to take the final. Highly recommended.
He's pretty straightforward with how he grades. Tests are pretty much the same questions as homework he just changes the numbers around, so if you understand the homework, you understand the test questions. This class is only once a week so attendance is super important. Missing a class is equivalent to missing an entire section of the exam.
Kuang does most all of his teaching through the lectures. Homework assignments for each lecture but not graded. If you need help there are email threads that go on between classmates and he will chime in a good amount. 4 tests, he drops your lowest score. If you miss more than 3 classes he'll drop you even at the end of semester. Good overall
Cracks jokes here and there to lighten the mood. Drops lowest test grade. Homework not required, but most test questions are pulled from it with some changes. Study, do homework and study again and you should do well on the tests.
Doesn't particularly teach, usually just reads off of lecture note slides. Hard to understand, has a thick accent.
This class is hard but if you do all the homework and you attend class you for sure will pass this class. Tip: print all the notes before class so you can actually pay attention to the lecture instead of focusing on writing the notes.
Test is just like the hw questions. Do the hw, go to class youll do fine. Yes, he does have an accent (its not that bad) but if you cant understand him, you can always ask. Very responsive to emails! Best math teacher ive ever had. A student got upset at him during class (weirdo!), and Kuang handled it extremely well! He is very understanding.
He is an okay professor. He teaches from his own lecture notes. This class is based on three exams and a final. Exams are based on the homework (which he will not grade) but will drop the lowest score. If you study the homework you will do great! The class will most likely be over an hour early.
Professor Kuang's class is a great class to take if you need to meet the transfer requirements for math. I took his class in the fall semester of 2016 and I found it very easy to pass. His tests are solely based on the homework. If you do the homework the tests will be a breeze! His lectures are a little hard to follow. Use the tutoring center.
Tests come from homework with a few number changes. If you can do all the homework before the test you will get a good grade. 4 tests, drops the lowest. All tests are scan trons.
Professor Kuang is a very nice professor , the homework is almost the same as the exam . I highly recommend taking his class
He is a very good professor, love his lectures, the way he explains his lectures easy to understand.
He's a great professor and really makes you work for your grade. He emails you the lecture notes early, so all you have to do is print them out and follow along in class. The exam are almost identical to the homework. I highly recommend this professor.
You can print out the notes before hand. Great teacher. 4 exams; drops the lowest. If you do the homework, It'll be exactly like the exams.
I took introduction to statistics with professor Kuang. He gives a a very clear plan of how the semester is going to go. Stats is hard but if you complete all the homework you will do great on the exams. This class was one day a week so attendance was mandatory, missing a class would miss a lot of material.
The class consists of 4 test and your able to drop your lowest. This is a hard class so it requires a lot of studying.
Professor Kuang is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. Stats is hard, but he makes it easy to understand. Download lecture notes & print before class. Attendance & doing homework is mandatory to pass the class. Tests come from the homework, so if you practice the homework, you will do great on the tests. He returns email promptly.
Professor Kuang is a pretty good professor for this class. He explains the topics very well. If you do all the assigned homework and go to class you will do good on his tests and in the class.
he is one of the best professor I ever had.
His accent is so strong that I couldn't understand him half the time. He teaches by reading off the lecture notes he already wrote and partially goes over problems that are half done on said lecture notes. I found it very hard to learn anything from him and I've taken pre-calculus, so it's not like I just wasn't trying.
Entire grade is based on 4 tests (each is 30 points/questions each); He drops the lowest test score. Homework isn't graded, but all test questions come directly from the homework. Hard class, but is passable with lots of studying.
Lectures are quick, 4 tests and he drops the lowest one. The tests are practically the study guide so if you want an easy A/B just do your homework and study. Its not a hard class at all.
This class is not difficult if you do the homework!! The notes are very clear and helpful while doing the homework. The test questions are directly from the homework as well so as long as you do it, you will get As on the Tests!
Supper sweet and obviously knows what he is doing. No ego, feel free to ask questions with thoughtful response in his class. He does have an accent but mostly a non issue as when he mispronounces something he is concuss of it and will make sure the class understands what he wishes to express. Oh and his test are VERY similar to HW
Was nervous going into class since it was my 3rd time taking stats and I found the class very reasonable. If you do the homework and understand it, you will do very well in this class. English isn't his first language, but I never found him difficult to understand or that it affected his lectures. Take his class if you want to succeed in stats.
Take Dr. K for Intro to Stats - he is awesome! The amount of time you put into your homework is the grade you will get int he class. He does not grade homework but the test is almost identical to the homework. You have to attend class to understand the material but the fact that you are able to get an A is worth it. Highly recommend taking him!
Dr. K provides the lecture notes, all you have to do is print them out and bring to class. Dr. K makes stats easy to understand and your grade is based on best 3 out of 4 test. All the questions for the test come from the homework. So if you do the homework and understand it, you will pass the test with no problem. And the tests are not cumulative.
I really do enjoy his class, he teaches everything in a way that is understandable but also mentally challenging. He does not set you up to fail, he provides all of the resources you need to do well in his class. Just do the home work and you'll be fine.
4 tests make up your grade and he drops the lowest one.
He sets you up for success. Drops lowest of 4 exams. Do the homework and you'll do great in the class.
Good class, but very hard. I still struggled after studying 15 hours/week
Professor is very smart, but can be hard to understand at times. Grade is based solely on the best three of four exams (meaning you can skip the final if you are happy with your grade). Homework is assigned but never collected or graded and test questions are directly from the homework with a few numbers changed. Doesn't use the book at all.
Professor is very smart but hard to understand at times. Grade is solely based on the best three of four exams (so you could skip the final if you're happy with your grade). Homework is assigned but not graded. Exam questions are all directly from homework with a few numbers changed. Book never used, professor provides lecture notes.
He always try to make students understand a lecture. He sometimes jokes. Overall, I would like to take his class If I have a chance for that. Great teacher.
Professor really cares about his students. I would recommend that he change the way he sets up his class. He rushes through the material VERY quickly. Maybe connecting his tablet writing his lecture notes out and leaving blank spaces so he can fill it in with the class. Make it more interactive. He is very aware of his accent and always clarifies
Professor Kuang is a very passionate teacher who does everything he can to make lectures understandable for students despite his accent. Exams are based heavily on the optional homework with numbers changed here and there. Your grade is determined by the best 3 of 4 exams, so you're able to skip the final if your grade is where you want it.
Mr. Kuang is very nice! Just do all the homework, and pay attention in class.
I enjoyed taking his class. He gives a lot of homework but none of it is for any credit. If you do all the Homework you will help yourself because the homework is just like the test. This professor is not difficult. I would definitely take his class again!!
english is difficult to understand but he is very patient and will explain things
He is a good teacher but his English is kinda sad. He is a goof professor and I would recommend him to anyone that needs stats
You'll pass the class if you do and understand the homework.
Do and understand the homework and you will pass. Print out the notes before hand (or write them out which is so much more helpful) and then attend his class. It really helps you understand the material. If you do well on the fist 3 exams you do not have to take the final. His English is hard to understand sometimes but he clarifies!
Professor Kuang writes his own notes including examples that are very descriptive ,using step by step. Never opened the book. DO THE HOMEWORK over and over and over & it will help with the exams. Exams are based off homework questions. Use the LRC tutors for help! If you pass first 3 exams with an A you don't need to take the final! :D
he is a very good teacher to take you just have to pay clos attention in class. you also have to do the homework in order pass the tests. really recommend this teacher.
Super awesome and nice. Provides great feedback. Really cares about the students.
He is not helpful but all test material comes from homework and tests are multiple choice
Overall great professor. Very thorough on material, if you do the homework problems you will ace all the tests.
Shilong is very clear on what he wants out of his students and his grading is straight forward. He really knows the material and his notes present the lessons in an overall clear way. My biggest gripe would be that his accent and the way he talks he sometimes leaves out words in sentences and makes it hard to follow him.
He is a great teacher and you have to attend class to pass
Professor Kuang is a great Stats teacher! I took MATH10 with a different teacher fall 2015 and had to drop because his grading style didn't work for mine. But Kuang's lectures are very clear and you can print out the lecture notes before class. No homework is graded for a points, just 4 tests and he drops he lowest. I would for sure take!
Class is pretty simple: you show up to class and study for the tests. He is hard to understand but he makes his lectures entertaining. Homework is given but not collected. Tests are somewhat challenging but are also multiple choice so not too bad. Would definitely take this professor again.
His class is based off of three exams out of four and attendance. His lectures are vague at times and need to be supplemented by individual text book reading. He is a nice guy but, he is not very through with the material which makes it hard come exam time.
He offers extra credit if you write a review about him on this website. He is always late and onetime he passed out in the teachers lounge and was 45 minutes late to class and only 10 students remained. If you really want to understand stats and hopefully pass, take another professor.
All the notes are online, so make sure you print them out before you come to class. Attendance is mandatory
Grade determined based on tests which has its advantages and disadvantages.
Not a good teacher. Only reads off the powerpoints and does not do any examples. Thick accent so sometimes hard to understand.
The class was overall easy, I would take again with Mr. Kuang he was easy going and the class only graded by 4 exams and one is dropped.
Attend class, do the homework even though it's not graded, and listen to the lectures. If you do these things you'll do great. The class is manageable and you can get a good grade if you put the time and effort. Make sure to do the homework assignments because they are similar to the test (they help out a lot).
If you learn by listening to lectures don't take him, I can't really understand him with his accent but he is really nice! The homework isn't graded but is really easy and all multiple choice, and the exams are basically exactly the same as the homework. He drops the lowest score and the final isn't cumulative. I taught myself easily w the textbook
Grade is based on 4 tests with the lowest test being dropped. He offers alot of study material and Homework but will never check the work. He offers a few minimal opportunities for extra credit as well. When he lectures however, he can be very difficult to understand due to his thick accent.
Although his accent is very thick and it is hard to understand him, he makes sure that the class can understand what he is saying. We had 4 exams total (include the final) and he drops the lowest one. HW not req, but exams are taken from it. Do the HW, go to lecture, stay on top of it and it's manageable. DISCLAIMER: math is not my subject.
Homework is not graded but all of the test are based on the hw. So if you do all the hw assigned and study it you should pass the tests. There are four test given and he will drop the lowest grade from the four. He has a great personality and actually made math somewhat enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Mr. Kuang.
I think he is helpful and makes sure he answers all of his students' questions.
Stats is a hard class; he made it easy. Attendance is taken every classs
Excellent teacher. Never bought the textbook. Test questions are exactly like homework questions. He only changes a few words or numbers. Has four exams, non-cumulative, and drops the lowest. Each exam is 30 questions. Exams make up all of grade. So know and understand how to do the homework he assigns and you will get an A.
good teacher and makes stats very simple. take him !
I'm honestly taken back by how good his reviews are on this site. I've had the most excellent professors at Saddleback, but Prof. Kuang is by far the worst one. The entire class is graded out of just about 90 points (3 tests at 30 points each). He reads off the notes & talks about the examples rather than doing them. Attendance is mandatory. Awful.
Horrible Stats professor....I repeat do not take this professor.
Prof K is an amazing professor. He has a heavy accent so when you first start attending it is hard to understand him. But you get used to it. Class is based off 4 tests. He drops the lowest one. If you are satisfied w/ your first 3 exams then you don't have to take the final. HOMEWORK IS THE EXACT SAME AS THE EXAM. Just different #'s. TAKE HIM
I took this class because based on the reviews here I thought he would be a great professor, nope. I'm now going to have to retake this class even after spending hours a day in the tutoring center because I would leave his 3 hour class learning nothing. Kuang is miserable at explaining the material and only does examples rarely and halfway.
Professor Kuang is a complex teacher. To start off, he doesn't not accept ANY excuse for a missed class/test. So if you are flaky DO NOT take him you'll be dropped if you miss more than 6hrs. He has a thick Asian accent so somethings he says are tough to understand. Grade is based ONLY off 3 out of 4 tests, the lowest grade dropped. EC 1%, no HW.
Thick accent, but he is aware of it. Genuinely wants you to learn. Professional teacher, he is here to teach, you are there to learn. Nothing extra, go to class and listen, do some HW if you need extra practice, do well on 3/4 exams and you are solid. He is a nice guy
He's a good teacher and is funny. The biggest issue is that you don't get credit for the homework, so everything is graded based on exams. Tests are challenging and require studying, but homework packets are helpful. No textbook necessary. Good professor.
He is a decent teacher, the only bump on him is that he is not accessible outside class hours. If you need extra help i would recommend a tutor!
Really cares about teaching but can sometimes be stubborn about answering certain questions if they don't pertain to what he's currently talking about. Really fair about exams and he drops the lowest score out of four exams total which accounts for your entire grade(this can be a good or bad thing) Homework never got turned in, textbook wasnt used.
The class is based off of four exams (he drops the lowest test grade). The lecture notes are posted online so, you can print them out before class. Also, his lecture notes are not as through as the homework assignments. My best suggestion is to form a study group to go over the homework assignments before the tests.
This professor is great! Grade is based off of 3 exams. There is 4 exams, but he drops the lowest one. You don't need to buy the textbook because he provides notes that you just have to print out and bring to class. There is homework, but its optional. Homework is VERY similar to the exams, so do it. All exams are 30 multiple choice questions.
For Dr. Kuang's class the homework isn't required, HOWEVER, the test questions are from the homework so make sure you do them. He has interesting stories and knows when to give breaks. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask! He'll answer anything with a sincere heart.
The final grade is based on the 4 tests during the course The final test is the most difficult so make sure you study for the first three Attendance is important He tells you to buy the text book but you won't need it during the course tests are very similar to the homework Doing the homework isn't necessary and he'd provide the solutions
He's extremely difficult to understand because of his accent. He doesn't encourage note taking (which unfortunately is how I learn personally) but more so listening and understanding. Grade is based on four exams, optional homework reflects the exams heavily. Attend class, listen and do your part to study outside of class.
I really liked how the class was structured, because homework was not mandatory and the test questions were almost directly off the homework, making it easy to get an A. The professor is okay, he is very caring. Sometimes the ways he does his notes can be more confusing than needed. Classes are longer than needed because he goes off on tangents.
Lectures are required, long, and too much info in them. He uses hw to create exams that are your only grades for the semester, but doesn't go over it. He changes the questions so they're more confusing. You need a LOT of time to devote to the class and even with two tutors for a minimum of 8hrs a week studying this is the first class I ever failed.
Straight forward and homework is exactly like the test. Make sure to utilize the tutoring center because hes only available for questions through email.
You have to know how to do the calculations. Doesn't give too many examples. Completing the homework, which isn't required is a must.
Professor Kuang said at the beginning of the semester that exams were not cumulative. He said that after each exam we could forget about the content covered for that exam. 1 week before the 3th exam, he blindsided the class by saying that material from the 2nd exam was going to be included. There was not enough time to review the material again.
When it comes to teaching the actual material and if you are at least fairly good at statistics, then he is a good professor. To be honest though, he does have a very strong accent that can make it challenging to understand at times, but if you can look past that then his class will be a good choice for you.
The professor has an accent, kind of hard to understand at times. Must attend class and pay attention to pass. The test questions come from homework. Skip class, get dropped.
He is a great teacher that teaches the subject very well. If you can get past the accent he is an amazing teacher. class is graded off of 4 exams and he takes the drops the worst one.
Your grade is based on 90 points. three tests are worth 30 points each for 150 total. dont skip his lecture
Getting an A isn't easy, but if you're willing to work for it, it can be done. He models his tests closely after the homework, so you're best chance of getting an A is to just practice! He drops your lowest test score at the end of the semester, but the class is only graded on the three remaining tests. Offers small extra credit too!
The lecture goes over his handwritten lecture notes and you don't really need textbook. Your grade is based on your best 3 of 4 tests, but the tests are only 30 questions long so prepare well. Best way to study is to do the optional homework. Professor Kuang is caring and does his best to explain everything.
He's pretty good at explaining the material. To pass the class you have to attend the lectures and do the homework. He doesn't count the homework as a grade but its good to do the homework because the exams are based off the homework. He tries to make sure everyone understand the material and does not shame someone for not understanding something.
Grade based on test grades. Test based on homework.
Professor Kuang is a nice guy and is always trying to make sure that students understood what was going on. He has a heavy accent which some say it makes it harder but it never bothered me. Homework is optional, tests are homework (literally straight from homework with some numbers changed). Four tests, one gets dropped.
This was my first time taking a class after three years of being out college. Professor Kuang is always trying to help everyone understand the concepts and material. He is a great lecturer, he gives you a great set of notes, and other tools. I really appreciated taking this course.
Just practice questions on homework or website, you'll pass. Got an A without listening and having to struggle his accent, only by teaching myself...
This is the laziest teacher that I have ever seen. He just played recordings during class and does not teach. The stuff that is on the homework is no where to find in the lecture. He is hard to understand and basically get ready to teach yourself. Does not answer any questions and does not work with students. He does not care about class quality.
The tests were used to determine our grades, but listening to the lectures and doing the homework will help you decently.
Grade is basically based on 3 tests (4 tests in total but the lowest grade is dropped). During class he plays the recorded video lectures which was pretty easy to follow. Tests are literally based on homework (minor revisions/edits) so as long as you know the concepts of the homework, it's an easy A.
He is amazing! I really recommend Professor Kuang. Even though I had him online with covid happening he still made class manageable. His lecture are very clear and organized and doing homework is super easy as long as you pay attention to the lectures. If I could take him again I would. TAKE HIS CLASS HE IS AWESOME!!!!
The grading system is based off your 3 best exam scores (out of 4). I took his online class so the zoom consisted of a two hour lecture once a week. I recommend taking professor Kuangs Math10 class.
If you pay attention during the lectures and do all of your homework, there is no reason you should fail this course. His class consists of 4 tests, in which your lowest score will be dropped. His tests are exactly the homework, he just changes a few numbers around so if you do all of the homework you will get an A on his tests.
Although math online can be a struggle he does a good job in having the lectures and note available after class to review. The homework is very important to get done before the tests even though he doesn't grade homework.
Took this professor via zoom. Pretty straight forward guy and helps with questions you might have.
Professor Kuang expects the students to be attentive during class. This shows that her cares about the success of the students in his classes. The tests are based off of the homework. if you know the homework well, then you will do well on the test.
This class was via zoom which personally makes learning a bit more difficult especially with math but the Professor does a good job answering questions anyone may have. Although your grade is based on the best 3 out of 4 exams, he does share homework problems for extra practice that are similar to those on the exam.
The grading for the course is very straightforward, your class grade is based on 4 exams and your lowest exam score will be dropped. Professor Kuang is very kind and his lectures give you all the information you need to do well. My biggest recommendation is to do the homework because the questions are identical to the exams. Overall great class!
He has a PHD in STATS so he teaches how to apply instead of learn text book stats. He has a thicc accent so if that is something that might distract you, I would choose another professor. But overall, he's great and you could just study in class and you'd get the material.
Best math professor in Saddleback. Homework is very similar if not identical to test material. As long as you pay attention during his lectures and practice homework problems, you'll pass the class with an A.
Professor K was honest and fair with all requirements for this course in the beginning of the semester. Attend class, do the homework, and you will receive the grade you worked hard for. I would definitely recommend to take his class. Thanks prof K!
The professor is a nice person, his lectures are from the notes he posts on canvas and the tests are very similar to the homework.
Would not have wanted my math class with any other professor, the lectures are thorough and homework is not seen as an assignment and just a good way to help you understand the material for the tests. This is how all math classes should be done!
Great class, great teacher whom is passionate about statistics and is clearly excited to pass his knowledge along. graded by 4 tests, all questions come from the homework. Do the homework or you will not pass
Great Professor, you can tell that he loves what he does. Grading is straightforward, has a total of 4 tests, including the final, and drops the lowest grade. The homework questions look very similar to that of tests, so make sure to do the homework.
Very caring professor and will help the students if they are having a hard time.
Professor Kuang is extremely clear on what you need to do in order to succeed in his class. He makes the learning material fun and relates it to real life situations. He's very caring and you can tell he really appreciates when you participate and help other classmates. He responds to emails promptly and explains everything thoroughly!
Professor Kuang did an amazing job at consolidating this course to 6 weeks. It was easy to follow provided by his video lectures, powerpoints, homework study guides, and answer sheets. He is very generous and I can tell he wants every student to succeed. I would take this class again. Make sure to attend class, participate, and do the study guide
Professor Kuang is kind and cares about the subject, however the lectures were lengthy and time-consuming. There were 4 exams within the semester, and he drops the lowest grade of those exams. Homework is not required, but the exams follow the structure of the homework, therefore making the homework useful to complete.
Professor Kuang is fantastic. Math10 was not. I am extremely grateful to have had him at my stats professor. He warned the class multiple times that 6 weeks for what would normally be an 18 week class was extremely difficult, and he was right. However, he made it easy to learn. Im sure the class would have been easier if it was longer.
Class is very fast-paced and it makes you study hard for each exam. The class grade is based on 4 exams, where the best three test scores are used. Professor Kuang is funny and will help you if you ask questions. Tests are similar to exams, so do all the problems from homework and make sure you know how to do them.
I took this course over the summer where it is traditionally an 18 week class. However, this course was condensed into 6 weeks. I think the professor did a great job with lecture where he made the material easy to understand and comprehend. The exams were fair in that they were a reflection of the homework. Overall, I really enjoyed the class.
Took this class in the summer over a 6week course rather than 8weeks. It was a very fast-paced class. If you do the homework and understand it well you can get an A in the class. The homework is a lot of work but I recommend you put in the time to get it all done. He lets you use notes and homework on tests since it's a short semester in the summer
Dr. Kuang went by the books and taught through real life examples in his lectures as well as providing homework that really helped with the exams. Your grade is based off how well you preform on exams, because there is no points given for homework. The homework really prepares you for the exams because they are almost the same just worded different
I was part of the 6-week course and knew that what I was signing up for. Yes, it was quite crammed but I appreciate that he posts his lectures and the homework is very similar to his exams. Overall, great professor, you just need to put in the effort.
Professor Kuang really cares about his students! He offers all the homework and lectures on his canvas and tells you exactly what will be on the exam. However, the live lectures span from 2 1/2-3 hours long. The tests are exactly like the homework and he even drops one at the end! Overall, I would take his class again.
Great teacher! Explains the material very clearly and thoroughly so concepts are easier to understand. Would highly recommend to any other students.
Professor Shilong Kuang is very clear at the beginning of the semester what is needed to pass his class. He will answer your questions thoroughly and his lectures are very in depth. You must study, or you will not pass his class.
I took the 6-week summer course, so it was very fast-paced yet manageable. If you do the homework, you should pass. The test questions are similar to the homework, and we were allowed to use notes (I'm not sure if it's different during fall/spring). Professor Kuang makes it clear that he wants you to do well and succeed!
The homework is almost the same as the exam. As long as you understand and study it you'll be fine. Be sure to attend every class because he makes the most of every minute you're together. Drops your lowest exam grade and doesn't mind being interrupted if you have a question. Stay on top of studying because it is easy to fall behind.
Nice guy and great teacher. Take this teacher for Math 10. If you do the homework, you will get an A in the class. Test is made up of problems from the various Homework assignments. Attendance is super important because it is very lecture heavy and super useful.
He's easily accessible, will answer all your questions. Lecture he just plays a recording for lecture and the pwrpoint is just scanned notes of blue handwriting which is virtually impossible to learn from so I only got an A by learning everything myself on youtube. the tests are on canvas and verbatim from the hw tho so its easy! drops 1/4 tests.
Lot of homework's , if you don't do it you wont pass the exams
Professor Kuang so far is the best math professor Ive had. He will answer all of your questions and teaches very thoroughly. Only problem I have is that his way of teaching is very fast paced and if you are not paying attention for the entire zoom meeting you will get lost. I have had to skip an entire section of notes because I fell behind.
I almost did not pass this class because I really did not attend class. So DON'T SKIP CLASS!! the grade depends on only 4 tests (he drops the lowest one). No hw, no other way of getting points. Make sure you study. He posts the lectures and gives keys to the optional hw.
Professor Kuang is a thorough math teacher! However there may be some concepts that may be challenging but paying attention to the lectures and homework material are key to success in this class.
Professor Kuang is the best math professor at Saddleback College. If you do your homework well, you will get a good grade.
Professor has great summary notes, which become handy when preparing for quizzes.
Professor Kuang is super knowledgeable and is there to help. As long as you pay attention and keep up with the homework youll do just fine. Make sure you can navigate the homework!
Great Professor! There are 4 tests. One is dropped. I had it online, once a week 4 hour class. Heavy on the lectures, but gives breaks. No confusion between the homework and tests. He is a great professor and can help out anybody that needs it! I would take again.
The class is clear and straightforward, everything on the tests is nearly identical to the homework. As long as you pay attention to the lectures and do all the homework, an A is not difficult.
Professor Kuang is the best math teacher! He helps you out as much as he can to pass the class. His class lectures were clear and helpful when it comes to homework. He gives you 4 test and takes one out. The test is based on the homework. Do your homework and practice doing the math problem many times you will get a good grade on the test.
I had Professor Kuang over online 3 hour zoom class. It's very long but he does give us a few breaks which I appreciate. He is very understanding and I don't feel afraid to ask him questions I'm confused on. Math is a little harder subject for me, but the tests are open notes & identical to the hw, if you do that you will pass.
Very easy class! If you do the homework & follow along in the lectures, you will pass. There are a total of 4 tests, but he will drop the lowest score.
Class was super difficult, I had to take this class to be able to take chemistry its a requirement to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona, I will be honest you pay attention come to class and do the HW and practice you can pass. On first exam proctorial it kicked me out and cleared my answers, I told the professor and he accused me cheating
He is very easy explaining the lectures and you are only graded based on the exams. He is a calm, open-minded and reasonable person. Although math is difficult online, this was the exepcion, I enjoyed taking his online course Math 10.
He wasn't a terrible teacher but would not recommend or take again. However, if you do the homework, you'll do fine on the exams.
He gives long lectures but he explains the subjects very well. Be prepared to take lots of notes and there is no mandatory homework class grade is based on tests alone.
He really cares about how his students retain the content and is very understanding. His lectures are well explained, and the exams are based on optional homework.
You definitely have to be responsible with doing the homework and reviewing the notes. The lectures were clear and a lot of the questions I had were answered thoughtfully.
The class does not require any assignment submission, but, if you do not pay attention to his lectures and try to complete the assignments, forget about passing the class. Lectures can be long but, Professor Kuang is always open for questions to ensure students understand. Exams are almost similar to the assignments so make sure to do them.
Professor Kuang cares for his students. You'll pass if.. First, attendance is huge, don't miss class so you can understand the material in the lectures. Do not fall behind, Lecture go by fast. He bases your grade off 4 tests and he drops the lowest test grade. "Homework" is really study guides for YOU on the test, understanding them is key to pass.
The structure of this class is easy to follow. Homework is not mandatory, but 100% necessary. The test questions come directly from the homework. All tests are open note/book, so if you do the homework, you will pass. Professor Kuang has a strong accent, but genuinely cares about his students passing. Lastly, he drops lowest grade out of 4 tests.
There would be no way of me passing this class without the notes, homework, videos, and feedback from professor Kuang. The class was very difficult for me because statistics are just hard in general to comprehend. But once you have formulas and you know how to plug in the numbers you should be okay. With the professor's help I was able to pass.
Shilong Kuang is a great professor. His goal is clearly to have all his students be successful in his class. Always more than happy to clear up any confusion, and is very clear on how the tests are designed.
His teaching method was suitable, but if he was helping to review homework, I think it was better to learn to solve the problems.
Great Professor! Grades are only based on test scores, do the homework and you'll pass the tests.
Math is a subject with which I struggle and so I do not fault Prof. Kuang with the grade that I ended up receiving. He provided a variety of course materials; online course lectures that were made available to see at any time and detailed notes for each weeks materials. It's recommend that students attending each class, or risk being dropped.
good proffessor
I did fully online. The way he sets up his canvas page can be a bit confusing, there's no "modules" everything is found under files. Your grade is based ONLY of 4 tests. No mandatory homework but he encourages you to do the ws 3 times. CAMERA NEEDS TO BE ON DURING LECTURE. He plays a recorded lecture during zoom, and can find all videos online.
Your grade is based of 4 Tests. He let's you drop yoru lower test grade. No homework, although he does encourage you to do it. Good professional over all. Easy A . Easy to get help ;) for tests. Wink wink... easy A
The Math10 I took was pretty straight forward. Mandatory attendance, your grade is made up of your best three of four tests. The dropping of one test, could be the final, is really helpful, but sometimes it is nice to have participation or homework points to cushion your grade. Do the homework and watch a khan academy or two and you'll do fine.
This professor goes by test grades only, which makes it tough to earn points for those who don't test well. Though only the tests get you points, the questions given on the homework practice are very similar to those on the test which makes it a little easier. The lectures move quickly but he does not mind going back to explain things you missed.
When I took this online class with professor Kuang, he provided us with all the tools necessary to succeed. We were provided lecture videos, notes as well as homework problems which were almost identical to the test questions. At times his lectures can be a little too quick-paced, but something that helped a lot was the open notes tests.
Professor Kuang is a friendly professor and helps his students when they have problems. If you attended his class, took good notes, and studied the homework he assigned, you will be able to pass the course.
Professor Kuang is good at explaining the questions step by step. There are four tests including the final and the one with the lowest grade is dropped.
Great professor, definitely work on the homework because the questions are similar to exam questions! Don't miss class, attendance is important.
The class only has four exams, and Professor Kuang will drop the lowest score. Attending the lectures and using the practice questions and lecture notes wisely can succeed in the exams!
Lectures are too long and cover too much quickly. Questions are barely answered during the lectures. I mean no offense but his accent does make it very difficult to understand him. He constantly threatens to drop you from his class!! You always have to be on camera for class. Classmates can't have a group chat. This class really feels self-taught.
Youtube lectures and zoom session late Monday nights. Ask questions, he answers quickly. No modules-weekly notes/hw all in files. Class based off four tests-lowest one dropped. Do the hw, its not due but you can use all notes/hw on tests. 4 tests every other Monday night-keep your schedule open, he wont change time for you. Overall kind professor!
Professor Kuang was great for my first statistics class! His lectures are easy to follow, and even though it is asynchronous course, this class was very manageable. Even though the grade for the course is exam heavy, he drops your lowest exam grade and the homework he assigns is very similar to the questions on the tests, which was very helpful!
Professor Kuang is very knowledgable in his subject. His class has taught me valuable information outside of the classroom, which I will use for all my next classes. If you put in the work, you will get a good grade. The grading is very fair and well structured course. I learned a lot about the subject and real life information outside of it.
Need discipline for this class. Was very much self paced. He only grades the exams taken. However, he was great at answering any questions
Professor Kuang was a great professor, it is my first statistics class and I did learn a lot in this class. Grades are based on 4 tests and he drops the lowest score test, do the homework to practice, it's helpful for the exams and you will get a good grade!
He is very kind and easy to talk to anytime you have a problem. He cares about his students; success as well.
The math 10 class was set up very easily. There were 4 tests and the top 3 count towards your final grade. The homework and notes were easily accessible and he gave ample time to do all the homework to prepare for the 4 tests. If you study and practice the homework the tests are easy.
Very hard class. He emails his students saying this constantly. Depends on lectures notes and even the notes can be confusing. A more learn yourself sort of course, but the professor is always happy to lend some extra guidance.
This professor makes this class really straightforward. It is fairly easy to get a good grade as long as you understand the material. Your grade will come down to three out of four tests as the lowest one will be dropped. Homework is not required but is highly recommended to understand the material.
I took the all-online version of this course and I would 100 percent recommend it to a friend. The entire course grade is based on the average of only 4 test scores, with the lowest test dropped. The lectures were recorded for you to watch, take notes on, and use on tests. The homework wasn't graded but lots of the questions were used on the test.
Has videos up on Youtube explaining lecture notes and homework you can revisit, which is helpful. The study material itself contains everything you need to know for tests, with questions often looking similar if you've studied. Your overall grade is based only on 4 tests with the lowest score dropped, so as long as you study you should pass.
I am really grateful for this class. I learned a lot. As long as you do the practice test questions you will do fine on the exams,
As long as you do the homework and understand each question you will be able to get through the class. The professor will drop your lowest exam grade, so the class is out of 3 exams. I would def recommend this professor for Stats.
Class was solely focused on four tests, the lowest of which would be dropped. Lecture notes and homework were allowed on the test, and many homework answers lined up with questions on the test. Very easy as long as you watch the lectures and use the homework (homework was not graded).
Mr. Kuang's class was not difficult but you need to do the homework and watch the lecture videos in order to pass. I thought I could get away with not doing so but did not end out too well. Didn't get a bad grade but could have done a lot better if I didn't procrastinate. His lectures videos had good explanations on how to do the problems.
Overall, if you do the homework, you will be fine! Your grade is based off of four exams, and he drops the lowest one, so make sure you study hard.
Professor Kuang was a fantastic statistics teacher. The Professor have clear lectures that made succeeding in the possible. Effort and time will determine your success in this class, as lectures are easy to understand and learn. Also grading criteria is communicated and made very clear. I highly recommend this class and Professor.
great professor and clear grading criteria. Just make sure you do the homework, all exams are based on the homework. He gives you 4 exams and drops the lowest one. He lets you use your homework on all of the exams. overall great teacher
Overall good course! If you do all the lecture videos/notes and try the homework problems out you will do well. Online course so you have to keep up with the lecture videos but if you space them out not too bad. Small period to take tests in but just plan around the time frame ahead of time. Would take again!
If you need to pass Stats/Math10, Professor Kuang is who you want to take! There are 4 exams (drops the lowest one) and THAT'S IT! So, if you do badly on the exams then you will do badly in the class overall. The homework assignments are optional BUT TRUST ME YOU WANT TO DO THEM as they help you during the exam. He's available during office hours!
No busy work! Professor Kuang writes his own lecture notes and exams. Watch the videos with a printed copy of the lecture notes and complete the homework. You can use the homework and lecture notes when taking the exams, which are similar to the homework questions. He is very approachable and answered all of my questions.
He gives great lectures and assigns homework to prepare you for the tests. Some of the questions in the homework arent from the lectures and I googled how to solve them but not many are like that.
Professor Shilong Kuang is great. His lecture videos are clear and informative. He provides notes to print out and follow along with the lecture. His homework did not count toward any credits but is very similar to the tests. I recommend this professor if you have good self-discipline.
Dr. Kuang is very clear when it comes to tests and grading. His tests are not hard if you watch the lectures and do the homework because exams are based on the homework. There are 4 exams and he drops the lowest test grade AND you can use lecture notes and homework on the exams which is super helpful. He also has office hours if you need help!
Professor Kuang is a great teacher, he answers all emails quickly. He provides very informative lecture videos, the class is difficult but if you put a lot of time and effort into the video lectures and homework you will do fine. He doesn't grade homework and bases your grade off of your 3 best exams. The homework is really similar to the test.
Professor Kuang is a great online professor who really cares about his students. He gave me good feedback to help me study smarter & by test #3 I was getting high 90% scores. My recommendation would be to study all the lecture videos, and all the homework, and practice for the exams. He also drops the lowest out of the 4 tests which is sweet! :)
Professor Huang was an amazing Professor who truly did care about the students in his class. Although there was a lot of homework there were very few tests. The tests were almost identical to the homework questions which also made it a little easier to study when the time came. The notes that he provided were also very helpful. I highly recommend.
I took Statistics online from Professor Kuang and really enjoyed the class. The work was fairly hard but his lecture notes are excellent and the pace of the course was reasonable for me. I'd recommend him for anyone who needs to take Statistics at Saddleback.
One thing I like about this professor is that your grade is purely based off 4 exams and the lowest test score gets completely dropped. Homework assignments are used as study guides for the upcoming exam. One thing I didn't like is that the previous chapters of hw (study guides) would disappear after each exam.
Dr. K teaches statistics in a way that is clear and easy to understand. I e-mailed him with questions, about homework, several times and received assistance quickly. If you want to learn, and be taught by someone who is truly passionate about the subject, this is the class for you. P.S. You can drop your lowest test score! :)
This professor is very good and will answer questions patiently. And you just need to do your homework and review well to have a good grade. And he can help you drop the lowest exam once.
Very good professors who will answer all kinds of questions and also help you review and solve difficult problems that you don't know. And will Drop your lowest grade once.
I took Professor Kuang's summer stats class and he was great. I was a little worried about taking this class over the summer, as math isn't my strong suit, but Professor Kuang's teaching style got me through. Good lectures, lecture videos are available on canvas, and he's available in and out of class(for the most part) to answer questions,
Professor Kuang is an amazing professor who pays attention to his students, makes clear the measures of achievement, and makes lessons engaging and easy to follow. I'm not a math person, but I can certainly state that Professor Kuang has given me a keen interest in statistics. I am very proud to have taken his class!
It is a test heavy class but if you do study the material that he posted in Canvas you should get an easy A
Professor Kuang makes stats engaging and understandable, even for non-math people. The course is test-heavy, but the ability to drop the lowest score and use unstuckstudy ai for study prep makes it manageable.
