Easy A. 3 exams, 2 papers, and 1 debate. The exams are exactly what she gives on the study guides. Posts up the lecture power points. This professor also made the class fun and interesting. Highly recommended.

4 multiple choice exams, 2 papers, 1 debate. Participation boosts the grade a lot. She takes attendance and answers emails quickly. Exams are mostly based on the slides which she posts at the end of the day.

she was a great teacher didn't have to use the textbook at all, just payed attention in class and took notes, and got an A with hardly any work outside of class. no homework, just some quizzes, a super easy final test, and an essay written at home that she gave almost everyone an A on.

Prof. Hernandez is by far the best professor I have had at MC. Her lectures are crystal clear and she has many class discussions based on the slides. The class is very open to everyones opinions. Tests come right out of the slides so if you go to every class or read the book you'll do very well in the class.

If even HALF of all professors were as helpful, knowing of their material and as personable as she is, college would be much more of a fun experience for many people. Attendance and participation are a portion of her grade scale but the class is great and not at all boring, especially if you like Sociology. Very highly recommend any of her classes.

She teaches very well. It is never a dull moment in her class. She also relates the subject with our everyday lives which makes it easier to understand the topic that she is talking about. She is the most fun, exciting teacher of all. I definitely recommend taking her class.

Easiest A ever, but also very interesting. She likes when others participate in the discussions.. this is also part of the grade. 4 tests, all which are multiple choice and a short essay at the end, one paper due at the end of the semester. Also, she is very intelligent and pretty IMO. Take her, you won't regret it

One of the best in MC... if you want a class that you can pass without getting your ass kicked, then take her class... her class is full of fun and fairly easy if you study for the tests.. but the final 10 page paper sucks.. lol.. other than that she is very good teacher

I think Professor Hernandez is an awesome teacher. Her methods of teaching is likable using power point and also let students interact about specific subjects. She will have a discussion about specific topic and you can comment and ask questions that relates to your life. She break down the materials when it comes to test. she is also very cute.

Very great and easy going teacher even though I passed out in class several times (lack of redbull). I would highly recommend taking her. Teaches from powerpoint and it's interesting stuff. I loved taking her course. It was not too difficult, but I still had to know the info for the tests. She made the class interesting and was always ready to help us. I hope to take another sociology class with her in the future! ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS

I payed ZERO attention to this class and always slept and never even bothered reading the textbook and I passed with an A haha. The multiple choice are common sense, I got an A on both papers, I used her homework pass slip as a 5 point boost on the Final Exam. You get an automatic A for the debate. 4 quizzes, 1 homework pass (if you dont use it, it goes to your final grade), 1 debate, 2 essays. Final is not accumulative (its a really really long quiz) so is the Midterm. Easy A people.

SHE IS AWESOME!!!! I had her for SO101 this semester and she's amazing! Her PPTs are helpful and tests are not too hard if you study and listen to her lecture. She has good manner and good lecture skills. Four exams plus one paper for this class. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!TAKE HER,WON'T REGRET!

She is a good professor. She give you all the reviews for the class exam in the beginning of the semester, but she also give out 3 thinking exercises and 1 concept paper.It is more than for my English class. The thinking exercises are OK , but the concept paper is a 5 paper research paper. she read every word you put on the paper.Grading very .....

She is not an easy grader and there is 5pgs essay. I got A for my every exam but she gives me a B for the final just because I receive a C for the essay. If u hate essay like me. DONT TAKE HER CLASS!

She's absolutely the BEST professor I have had at MC. This is my 4th semester there & I am so happy to have had Shinta as my professor before leaving MC. She gives clear, helpful examples, & reviews for every exam are given at the beginning of the semester. She is a fair grader. She will answer any questions you have. TAKE HER CLASS she is the BEST

It was a summer class so class attendance was mandatory, but sometimes it didn't FEEL mandatory because you want to be there. She's the best teacher I've ever had. She makes class fun, interesting, and the subjects she taught were intriguing. She liked to have the class participate and that was a lot of fun and interesting. TAKE HER CLASS!!!

She really know how to teach and gives great examples. Listen to her lectures and do the study guide and your guaranteed an A. She can spend a lot of time on just 1 slide, so her class can get pretty boring. Specially if you already know the material. Rarely used my book.

This class was pretty easy. I wouldn't really know if she was a good teacher because it was online so we kind of taught ourselves. It's a straightforward course so there was no problem with that. However when I did have a question she answered it clearly and was helpful!

Prof. Hernandez is the best professor I've had in my 2 years at MC. She gives you study guides for all the chapters. If you study them you will do fine on the exams. She is so nice and willing to help. The class is always interesting, it makes the hour and a half flies by. Take her class! You will not regret it.

Prof. Hernandez has a great personality. She's always getting students involved in her lectures by giving out participation credit. Her tests are hard if you don't keep up, they're easy to fail but easy to pass in a way. She does give out a couple of essays. She also strict about certain policies.

Professor Hernandez is seriously one of the best professors that i have ever had at Montgomery college. Lectures are engaging, class participation is rewarded, and you can tell that she really cares about the grade and progression of her students. Was a pleasure to be in her class.

Initially I was skeptical about some of the comments but still went on to have a session with her. Honestly it was fun and extra hard work for a five weeks course. Once you're do what is expected of you then you should be fine. She's awesome just ask whenever you're doubtful about anything and she's more than willing to help. I earned my A.

She is beyond the best! though there's a lot of work to do (papers!!), she gives credit for everything. She's very approachable and easy to talk to. Always helpful and will go the extra mile to help. I'm thinking about taking her for other sociology classes.

I LOVE Professor Hernandez, probably my favorite professor I've ever had! I've taken her for two Socy classes (100 over the summer, and 208). She knows what she's talking about, is passionate about sociology, and is very fair in her assignments and tests. Her class is not "easy" but its awesome. Expect to critically think in her class!

I really liked her! Her classes were very engaging, but I wish the class had more depth. The textbook she uses for her gender class feels incredibly outdated though, so be warned about that. Do your work thoughtfully and you'll pass.

Professor Hernandez is by far my favorite professor! She is super clear on her lectures and all of her slides are very well organized. They follow along the book and prepares you for the exams. She does assign quite a few writing assignments, but it's not overbearingly difficult to complete. Just make sure to study and do your assignments.

Amazing professor!!! Took her during the winter session online and it was straight forward class. No confusions and the quizzes are nice and easy ( you can retake them multiple times). Final exam wasn't bad and it was based on questions from quizzes. Just do the work and you get an A!!!
