very clear and teaches only what is we need to know for exam. excellent notes and handouts. 3 exams and final. multiple choice. drops the lowest of the 3 exams. excellent exam reviews. very helpful and understanding. lab is helpful coz she goes over home work. highly recommend this teacher.

One of the Best teachers ever! 2 tests and one final, one MC and the other one fill ins, for the final you'll have both MC and fill-ins. Read her PPT, she let's you know what will be on the test. Amazing teacher, extremely nice, clear, concise, helpful. One of the few teachers that actually teaches you the material that will be on the test!! (what a novel idea!). Hand in HW once a week (only a few problems, plus its not that hard and good practice). Tests all multiple choice and straight forward on material covered in class.

A very nice professor. Was easy going and made complicated concepts easy for every student. Gave every student an opportunity to come on the board and earn extra credit. The tests were multiple choice questions but no gurantee for a good grade. One has to work hard-attend the class and do the homeworks on time. She respects those who work hard.

VERY good teacher, both fair and kind. easy tests with a lotttt of leeway for people who mess up. understanding and nice despite the natural difficulty of the material. gives numerous opportunies to boost your grade in case of bad tests, including dropping the lowest one. definitly for anyone trying to take 249. i would reccommend no one else.

shes very clear and willing to help anyone with questions. review sheets are everything on the test just study from that no need to make urself crazy with the book, reads off power points so u can afford to miss class but it shouldnt be a habit. great prof. def take her.

Do whatever you have to do to take her. The material can't be explained any easier or in a more organized manner. Her tests are clear and easy, just like all the work that she gives. As good as it gets.

3 Exams and a Final, 1 easy term paper, she even teaches you how to do it. You don't have to read books. Take good notes and that's what exam covers. HW requires no more than 30 minutes of work if you take class notes. She's good looking and very helpful in and out of class. Take her if you want an easy A or A+. I got an A and I'm dumb in math.

Please take her, I don't have any complaints. She can teach, I don't drag going to her class at all. Good work load, very organized. If you go to class everyone, take good notes, do the hw, you'll be fine. Don't even need to read the textbook. The textbook is there just to do a few hw problems.

She is awesome. very helpful and teaches well. I liked her class. Tests are tricky. Even if you know what to do, the test questions are the hardest part. Aplia hw, and text book isnt necessary. A is very possible, just come to class, look at slides, and study notes. just do the hw for the grade, it wont really help you study.

great professor, hard material but she makes it clear and tries to help as much as possible. the aplia doesnt count for anything, she just puts it there to help you. Highly recommended

Amazing Professor! Even though she is a good professor who cares about the success of her students, you would need to WORK HARD FOR AN A. Statistics is an economics course mixed with MATH so study everynight and keep up with the course work by doing the hw. Test are based on hw, and classroom lecutre (not only on review. She gives good notes.

Explains everything very clear. However, even though it may seem like you know it all, her tests are TRICKY. Just be careful and STUDY HARD.Not an easy A by any means but since she teaches so well A's are possible. Drops lowest test, 2 easy projects, easy labs - Aplia DOES count, so do it right. Overall, hard class, but it is Stats.

She's very organized, fair, and helpful. If you follow her instructions and keep the attendance, you will get a good grade FOR SURE.

Great professor, presents the material in a very easy way to understand even demonstrated with the use of chocolate M&Ms,She brings back a reminiscent of High School. :) she is extraordinarily kind and i find some students take advantage of that, admitingly myself.i learned alot this year. &&& P.S go to lab haha she gonna make you regret it :)

Quite a tough class but the professor is very knowledgeable and makes the material understandable. She comes to class late almost all the time, but not on exam days. The class requires a lot of work/effort. There is also online homework to complete, but it's not bad because you are given many chances to get the correct answer. Great class overall.

She was only late a couple of times - there were students walking into class much later than her! She truly cares about you understanding the material. Definitely take her!

Tough class. The HW website makes the class easier since it can explain the problems if your stuck. Having a TI-83+ and knowing how to use it helps to. She can be a little stern and cold, but is generally a good teacher. For a class this tough, she one of the better options.

Explains everything clearly and gives many examples for every topic. Uses slides and also writes on the board during class. MyStatLab HW weekly but they aren't too hard. Final grade is made up of a lot of grades - HWs, 2 exams and a final, and an easy group report. Go to class and do the HWs and you should do ok.

I think I have a crush on her! Was not into Statistics before I took the class but now I am SO interested in it! She is crystal clear -- one of the BEST teachers in the ECONOMICS department. Definitely take her! I have to work hard in class but at least she makes the material easy to understand.

One of the best professors I've ever met. She is very clear in teaching the materials and will turn a difficult class into a very easy class. Just pay attention to her lectures and you won't even need to use the textbook. Highly recommended. You won't regret taking her class.

Easy class, very clear and straightforward. Unfortunately attendance is mandatory and she makes you buy an iClicker which you then don't use. Also you don't learn very much stats in this class compared to AP Statistics. But it is easy, and she is helpful.

This class is not easy what so ever, but if you attend lectures and do the assignments on stat lab you can get a good grade in the class.

Idk why everyone is complaining about her, she is awesome. Yea there is a lot to do in the class but would you rather a professor who gives you a grade based on only exams? Just do the hw which is great practice, excels take 5 mins, project was simple and you do have to devote time to for soliya but jeez its only 2 hours a week. Use TI84 on exams!

If you do the hw and you a graphing calculator on the exam, you will be fine. a lot of work but its not overwhelming its very manageable. Its college for crying out loud, learn to manage your time and you wont have a problem. Literally didnt much time studying, i just learned to use the calculator for all computations and read over her slides.

She's good at teaching the material. It seems like she gives a lot of work, but what she assigns is very easy. Very nice and approachable. Her tests are quite difficult though, 20-25 questions only, and she gives trick questions. Grading breakdown very student friendly.

One of the BEST professors at QC! My grade was B+ in her class because I am not good at math. She changed my life with the Soliya program. I connected with a student from West Virginia and England. We even met up over the summer. Because of her class I understand how other people live in other countries (curfew in Turkey, life in Libya).

Great professor. Really knows her stuff and teaches well. Many components in class but this helps to get a higher grade (not only exams and hw). Wish we had more teachers like this at QC. She cares about students grades, whether they find jobs in the summer and how well-rounded they are.

Prof, Withanachchi is clear in teaching the course. If you study, you will pass. The grade is divided into many components, which gives the students an opportunity to bring up their grades. She is active during the class and gives clear instructions on projects and hw, accordingly to her syllabus. Review the hw and the pp slides before the exams

Other Statistics professors only give 2 exams and a final. Her class has many components to bring up your grade (not only exams). Do the HW, study the PPT and you will be fine. The project is already finished halfway through the course, really simple if you like presentation.

She is great! she knows how to teach but only problem is she thinks we only have 1 class. She was total 11 hw on mylab which worth 20%, project worth 10%, excel 10%, virtual participation 15%, 2 midterm which worth 25%, and one final 20%. Tests are kind of hard if you are weak in math. Moreover, Video conference is hard to deal with.

Math is not my best subject but I love the different ways to get a high grade. If I took any other professor at QC, I would only have exam scores for a grade. So glad I had other opportunities to earn a B+

Great professor! I think one of the best teachers in Economics unlike others who mainly care about their research (not teaching).

Prof. With. is really sweet. She gives you opportunity for extra credit. The homework is all online each week than takes minimum an hour to do (once you start getting deeper with the material). My only real complaint is the exams are multiple choice and while a majority of people find this time of exam normally easier, it is actually much harder.

Only person I would take Statistics with in the Econ Dept. Super helpful during office hours. Explains math CLEARLY!! Also mentions many internship opportunities in class. Totally take her!

Amazing professor! Really cares about her students. With all this COVID-19 stuff and classes going online, she kept it structured and gave us a clear schedule of how to complete the work. Never took an online class but she was super helpful. So glad I took statistics with her! Best part was the group project - had some connection with others.

Her syllabus is well broken down if your not the best test taker, but your wiling to do the Rstudio assignments, HW, and group project you can still end up with a decent grade. Only Professor at QC, who helps connect students to the career center. She really cares about students and made sure she received our feedback with everything with COVID.

Had to use MyStatLab with the textbook. Didn't love it but just do the HW, the tests are similar. She is very helpful outside of class too. My group connected with South African students in a project! Super cool idea. I never had a course at QC that cared this much about international connections.

She is a very good professor who teaches very well and is accessible outside of class if you need help. The class has homework about once a week. There is 3 tests and some group excel projects

Love the way she explains stats clearly! She makes it so easy. Just do the HW and the Excel group assignments to boost your grade up. Too bad she doesnt teach other Econ classes.

Go to class and do the homework. Homework is 25% of your grade and it is very time consuming but make sure you get a good grade. Homework app is like 100 dollars. Tests are tricky but she curves.
