This teacher is the most irresponsible teacher ever! What teacher goes on FB all day during lab and dont even help. She always makes so many mistakes during her lectures and always forgets to bring our papers back or even keep online not updated like she said she would. She does not provide GOGGLES so you have to buy them yourself.
She is awesommmeee....I like her!!!
She's always ready for any extra help. She's one of my fav profs:-)
She seems new to teaching, and therefore lacks the organization of a more experienced professor. Her lectures were erratic, and she was consistently 10 minutes late. She repeatedly says, "Answer me, yes or no?!" Taught myself most of the course from the text book, as she used powerpoints created by other professors.
I loved her worksheets, review sheets. She was ready to help extra off-time class and go patiently over the concepts with me. I liked all her classes and really managed through bcaz of her. Thanks a bunch to her.
She's too sweet & my fav!!!
Shraddha is a very easy going, sweet young woman but she is relatively new to teaching. If you are self motivated and are not afraid to ask for extra help and attention she is glad to spend the time with you. The class can move a bit fast so take advantage of seeing her afterwards. Do not expect to be spoon fed and do not fall behind.
She's very helpful and always ready to help. Please don't be afraid to go for one-on-one sessions. She managed me through this class. I like her.
She is very enthusiastic and will work with you after class if you ask. This is a fast paced class so you will need to study and keep up. This teacher truly cares if you let her know you need help. She helped me a great deal.
She is a great person and teacher. Her lectures are well organized and structured with practice problems that are very helpful. Tests and quizzes are reasonable because topics have been well discussed in class. Her grading was straightforward and accessing grades online was a bonus. I would recommend her class.
She is a very nice lady. Take her class! :)2exams,1 final exams, 5HW, 5WS,9 labs, 9 prelab quizzes,6 short quizzes,1research project.
Shraddha is great! So friendly and helpful 1 on 1. Her class lectures are a little tricky at times and you really have to stay on track but thats chemistry for you! If I did it again I would use the textbook (even tho she says its not required). Her slides are terrible with typos and incorrect sollutions everywhere. Overall happy I took this class.
I really like Mrs. Deodhar, she wants her students to succeed and is very open to people asking questions and if you seek her help during office hours she is super helpful.
She is awesome! Her class is pretty easy. The textbook is optional and I didnt get it but I took careful notes and did well on the tests. Attendance isnt mandatory but encouraged. You have to stick with the material as it comes but if you dont understand shes more than willing to help. She is super nice too! I would absolutely recommend her class!
I took the class but i felt that she was teaching math 87 and not chemistry. She likes quantity more than quality. Her exams are super easy and questions filled with basic elementary math questions. Very disapointed. She is also NOT helpful, very defensive when you ask her a question, bad listener & NEVER replies to emails. Has favorites. Easy A.
I took chemistry at UW and had to drop it because i had to receive a C- and it literally was not working. She explained things really well and made me feel confident for tests. She was all up for extra help and I really enjoyed your class. I am glad I took the class and totally recommend it!
I really liked her. I took hybrid course at HCC. The oly hard thing was the homework. It just took up a lot of time, and the homework had nothing to do with the class pretty much. She is very flexible and is very good at teaching her stuff. If you dont get somethings, just talk to her and she will explain. She is very easy going. Would recomend her
Shraddha is great. She provided a lot of practice problems and willing to help you outside of class time.A lot of students didn't like her because they think she doesn't explain well. I learn by solving problems and Shraddha will solve the problems with you. She's flexible and will help you to succeed.Prepare to study a lot.Chem163 is not easy.
Chem 163 is not an easy class but we sailed through because of Shraddha. The class started shakily but picked up from mid-way through.Very approachable & ever-ready to help Shraddha solved tons of problems with us every class. You are expected to know lot of concepts in 163,so make sure you revise 161/162. Overall I liked her a lot.
flexible, BUT HIGHLY unorganized, not competent with the material, inability to explain anything beyond power point slides (that aren't even hers!)
She is awesome, awesome & awesome. I dreaded Chemistry before I took Chem 131 but its my fav class now. She is passionate, helpful and super nice. She is very approachable and prompt and I highly recommend her class.
She is a FANTASTIC teacher!!!!! It was really hard to get into the class, because it filled up within 4 hours of being available, and for good reason! She is super lenient and nice!
Take her for chemistry 121. Very nice and helpful. she's a nicest instructor that i've ever had. Attendance is not mandatory and this class doesn't require a book either. Take her. It's easy to get an A.
Nice instructor. Take her if you wanna get an A. But she is unorganized and always behind the schedule. She requires student to write the lab procedure before the lab, so get ready for copying stuff. I love her very much.
I took chem 162 & 163 with her. She is one of the nicest persons I know. She really likes all her students and makes sure she helps each and everyone. She even takes extra review sessions and helps out of class and office hours. Her final project was my fav thing in the class. She is my fav and would highly recommend her.
Best Class I took at BC!
Absolutely loved her! She explains things very well and gives very helpful examples. She is straightforward. Her tests are fair based on the material she teaches, and she is a pretty easy grader. Another added bonus is that she is fun so her classroom is enjoyable to be in.
absolutely loved her. helpful and awesome.
This class was horrible! Half te class didn't even finish the final exam. It is unorganized, and hard to follow. I am normally an a-b grade student and I fully believe I failed her class. I should have studied harder I'm sure, but it was not helpful how the class was set up. I still spent a whole studying.
I have mixed feelings about Shradda. She makes chemistry fun and straightforward but she can be rude when you ask questions (especially in lab) and can be disorganized. She gives no direction for the labs, expects us to know what to do, gets annoyed when 20 people ask her questions. There's not much meat in her lectures, just practice problems.
Shrada is normally nice. She does at times get annoye when asked questions though. She expects a lot from her students. Her classes overall are fairly difficult. She will take assignments late. She gives extra credit (10-20 pts).
I loved her class. I took 121 two times. She's one of the best chem teachers I had in a longtime. I enjoyed everything about the class and totally recommend her
She is okay when it comes to teaching because she teaches clearly and tries to answer everybody's queestion. One major problem with her is her organization skills because she tends to misplace and lose her student's paperworks. When you take her class, do not take hybrid.
The worst professor I've ever had. We would go over the same problem 5 times with 5 different answers and nobody would learn how to do it. I went to her office to ask her a question and she texted on her phone the whole time! I walked away mid-sentence to see if she would notice, and she never did. Please note that I'm an A-B student
This was my second time taking chem 161 and am glad I took Shradaa. We solved loads of problems and I liked her multiple choice quizzes. I understood the stuff and liked how she tried to accommodate everybody. I am sure I made it to A and would totally recommend her.
I would not recommend this professor. Very unorganized, hard to understand, and not the most knowledgeable person.
Might be an okay teacher for beginner chemistry, but was not a good professor at all for Chemistry 161. Wouldn't recommend at all.
Took shradda for chem 121 & 131. Really nice lady. She gives you everything you need to know, prepares well for the exam and very helpful. I loved her and would totally recommend her. Ended getting an A in class...yohoo.
She keeps the class interesting by asking a lot of questions. Remember you need to work hard but don't be afraid to ask questions. She is ever read to help outside of class too. Also, I loved the projects and best part is she lets you switch one of the low midterm grades if you d really well on the finals...take her class!!!
Shraddha is an excellent professor - but I took the class during summer quarter. The class was quite disorganized, but when she actually taught the material everything was crystal clear and easy to understand.
I took Chem 110 which is an online class. Though I never met her I liked the way the class was executed. She was always available, replied to emails very promptly and provided extra help sheets to prepare us for class and quizzes. The labs were interesting and she provided personal feedback for all assignments. I totally recommend her.
Shraddha is the worst professor that I have ever encountered. Questions asked in class are often are met with snide comments and rude facial expressions. I have visited her office in the hopes of receiving a little extra help only to be turned away. I love chemistry, it's just a shame that I have a professor that does not love teaching it.
This class is extremely easy if you're looking for an A and not planning on needing advanced science classes. There are no tests and just one final paper that is very easy. The part that I cannot get over for this class is that it is so unorganized and she barely checks email and it takes her forever to grade stuff. Overall, it is easy but confusin
This was by far the worst class I've taken in years. The instructor was the most disappointing, lazy and frankly rude in passive ways. No communication from her as well as makes you feel stupid. She gives no warning of materials to get before taking quizzes, HIGHLY UNORGANIZED. PLEASE BELLEVUE FIRE HER. Disappointed and wasted money
I took her for chemistry 121 and 162; she was VERY DISORGANIZED. In 121 it wasn't that bad because it was simply the intro class, but when i got to 162, her lectures were not helpful. I had to read each chapter in the book and do every practice problem in the book to pass with an A. She was also very mean and rude during class too.
I took her class for chem 121, 131, 161 and 162. She's the best. She never hesitates to help you even out of the way. I love chemistry and i love her. The practice problems helped me on my exams and i liked how she encouraged forming study groups. I totally r commend her. Prepare to work hard and you would succeed in the class
The class was a little disorganized but the Instructor was good. She helped curving the exam and gave extra- credit. She helped us with the HW due- dates and post lab submissions. Overall, i was happy with the class. I wished she teached 163 next quarter.
I am taking Chem 121 this quarter. Two weeks back I rem being stuck at a particular Lewis structure topic. I went to her for help and Shraddha went out of the way to teach me again and practised problems with me. She is really nice and fun teacher. A little laid back in uploading grades but gives our papers back on time. Overall I recommend her.
Mrs. Shraddha is a super caring professor. She gives EC and will move back due dates. Never used the textbook but recommended if you want to pass. This was probably the hardest class i've taken at BC and she'll tell you that in the beginning. Lectures were confusing at times. Worksheet/quiz every week. Expect to work hard for your grade.
Personally, I love the way she lectures. Combined with reading the textbook, her explanations are easier to understand most of the time. Her in-class examples and practice problems are excellent. My only problem with the online practice worksheets is that the answer won't always be provided and it might not even be correct.
It's the end of the quarter and she hasn't fixed some of my grades from the first week. She doesn't respond to my emails over canvas and her whole canvas site was super messed up. Instructions not clear most of the time. For an online class it doesn't seem like she has it together. Not much homework and the class is easy.
Ms. Deodar is a sweetheart, and she is kind to her students. My experience with this class was a struggle, as I have no background in Chemistry. Her organization of the class is not completely concise, though she responds to emails in a timely manner. She has a bit of an accent, so if that is an issue perhaps you would consider another professor.
Take Chem140 with Dr. C, it will prepare you well for Chem 161, attend all classes with Shraddha and pay attention in class, follow her power points slides, and you will be golden. She is super caring and I LOVE her multiple choice exams, but be careful because answers are tricky
Shraddha is very nice and her accent is amusing but she cannot teach. I consider myself to be an intelligent, focused, motivated person when it comes to learning new scientific concepts but her lectures were extremely difficult to follow, even at this low of a level. No doubt you're better off learning this material through Youtube.
This prof is extremely hard. 1. to be able to understand what she is talking about and 2. because she gives us 1 thing to study then puts different stuff on the tests. she is not cooperative at all.
This was my first quarter back to school after a long break and am so glad I took the class 140with Shraddha. She is amazing! I had a wonderful time in the class and she was really good. She is patient to answer redundant questions and accessible outside of class. She is fair and goes out of the way to help you do better. I totally recommend her.
Shraddha loves chemistry!100 is diff and she tried to keep the class interesting and fun. Exams were a little hard but she was always available to help. Demo labs and project was my fav part of the class. No surprises, work and get good grades. I really liked how friendly she was and her mini counseling sessions helped!Attend lectures to do well.
I took chemistry 121 and it was extremely hard she gives out 4 exams her last exam is the hardest it's worth 3 hundred points almost half of her students fail her final exam & She's hard to understand because she speaks fast & her accent makes it hard to understand her I would not recommend taking her course at all she's a terrible instructor.
Professor Shraddha is not hard to understand, yes she has an accent. Her expectations are high (A+ 96%), you must study the concepts she goes over at home if you want to pass, do this by doing her ungraded worksheet on canvas, they really help! Use online resources for work check (chem formula, sig fig, balancing calculators etc)
She is a nice person and a decent teacher, but her grading system makes this class difficult. Grade for A is 96%+, she gave us back basically ALL our homework during the LAST 3 WEEKS, tests are hard and tests+quizzes count for more than half of grade. Not much hw tho, so if you aced hs chem, this might be a good class to take.
She's good , she cares and she wants to make sure everyone is class understand , first few week was really hard for me I thought she's a bad teacher and she goes really fast but after few weeks I used to it , try to watch YouTube videos( Taylor ) it held me a lot , I liked how she grades the homework on 100% completion , she's okay take her
I took her 140 class and, I must say I learned a lot more than my grade says. Her tests are extremely long (at least for me). The length of the tests didn't allowed me to review my answers. I hardly got to finish them, and I ended up guessing some of the questions that I know I could've resolved if I had had the appropriate time to answer them.
I was very skeptical when signing up for Chemistry in general just because I almost failed it in high school, but to be honest Shradda had taught me so much more in one month than my puto highschool teacher in a year. She cares, trust me. Her tests are super long so you have to pace yourself. Put in the work and ask questions if you dont get it.
Took accelerated CHEM161 instead of doing CHEM142 at UW as it was easier. She is really nice and her lectures are solid. Her quizzes are quite difficult but her exams are generally pretty easy (albeit long). Lots of lab reports to do in a short time, but lots of extra credit too (21 pts total). A solid choice for the chem series.
She talks really fast and has an accent so it is hard to understand her. She moves through material quickly and her tests are confusing and worded weirdly. She is caring and will help you if you ask but some stuff your going to have to learn on your own.
She goes really quick over everything and doesn't quite introduce the lesson before diving deep into it. If you don't get something, expect to have to teach yourself, or try and talk to her out of class if you can.
I found Shraddha to be a confusing and disorganized professor. Lectures were unclear, questions were met with irritation and repetition of the same answer in-class, and there were frequent confounding grammar errors on most of the material. She returned graded work slowly and inconsistently, tests were fatiguing, and she has unreadable handwriting.
I took chem 100 and loved the energy and variety she got to the class. The class is random but she is very helpful. She was very helpful and really patient answering the redundant questions in the class. Friday discussions and service learning were my favorite. I would take another class with her again.
Do the homework!!! The homework is weighted for half your grade but she doesn't tell you that.
Mrs. Deodhar was a nice professor. She loves chemistry. She knows her stuff and is good at re-explaing that to students which I think is what makes her a great teacher. She did have a lot of homework. I discussion every friday and a quiz every friday as well as homework due every monday and an in class worksheet due every wednesday.
Throughout the quarter, Professor Shraddha provides a friendly introduction such as "How was your weekend?" or "How are you guys?" Although she's friendly, her lectures are heavily contrasted. She lacks enthusiasm to her lectures, and provides little feedback on homework and assignments (w/ confusing grade marks). Difficult to learn; weird grading.
Don't take her. I aced high school chemistry, and was very good, but Shraddha is a terrible teacher. I thought that it would be a breeze, with the first test being easy. However, it quickly turned, when Shraddha barely described anything. My entire class failed 3 quizzes in total last quarter, and has bad handwriting and has weird grading.
Easy A but will not prepare you for future Chemistry courses. Feedback is not clear. Had to learn everything myself. If you are good at that, this can almost be a free period.
DONT TAKE!! She seems nice but is terrible in terms of being a teacher. She doesn't even know what she is talking about in regards to her own syllabus! Very unorganized and overall not worth getting a poor grade due to the lack of effort from the professor and not your own fault. I aced chem in HS and her class was a joke
She is a very nice lady but not a good teacher at all. In high school i had a great teacher and finished with a 98%. I took chem 161 and 162 with her and most of the material i had already learned, so i thought it would be easy but her teaching and grading is so wack that i barely finished with an A. Very unorganized - many mistakes by her.
She doesn't explain anything. The whole class has no idea what she is going over in class. She doesn't give topics she will cover in the day just starts talking. I'm sorry if you have to take her because google will be your only help with her class.
She is a lovely but not a good teacher at all. She is super boring, teaches very fast, and a harsh grader. Some of her hw makes no sense! Like the Project- Paper Review, which is about " Covid and Prisons." Also, she has terrible handwriting. Just don't take her!
Her lectures are quite boring and you can't really make sense of it unless you watch extra videos online about the topic. She divided the class into two sections, so depending on which section you're in-- you actually learn different materials. Her grading is terrible!! Also, she makes a lot of mistakes in her quizzes AND she replies soo slow so...
Shes an amazing easy going professor. Labs are easy as long as you do them. Very clear grading criteria. To get C - do homework partially. To get B - do all the homework. To get A - do all the homework + extra practice problems assingned. I took a summer 17 days express course with her, saved a lot of time!
Hard to understand in lectures. Doesn't clearly explain assignments, upcoming tests/quizzes, and especially when it comes to Finals be careful because she will not give you a warning until the week of. Poor communication in emails, late grader, grading errors, and much more. Don't take her unless absolutely necessary to continue your education.
I took Chem 161 & 162 with Prof Deodhar and she is awesome. I reached out to her at 11 pm and she was available to help. Attend her live lectures and the assignments will follow well. She is considerate and caring. Grades Mastering HW on completion. Highly recommend her.
One of the worst teachers I've ever had during my 3 years so far at BC. Almost all of her assignments made no sense and I had to email her about every assignment because they either included material that wasn't taught or had nothing to do with the subject at all. Took this class as an introduction to chemistry but there was random stuff thrown in.
Every assignment was unclear and it felt like they were made for a different class. The class was easy but not worth the amount of effort trying to figure out the assignments and emailing her.
This class has made me appreciate the teachers more because Ms Deodhar really cared about her students. I can tell just the way she talk to the students. I loved how she used to post announcements every week detailing the assignments. She cares a lot for her students. Doing the labs was so fun. Overall, highly recommend her.
I took Chem 161 with her last quarter, she is awesome! She is amazing, caring instructor and I highly recommend her. She's very accessible in and outside of the class and I could finish the class with an A- only because of her.
I took accelerated Chem 161 with her in Summer 2020 and my brother took it in Summer 2021, both of us made an A in her class. We really loved her teaching style and the over-all class. She was recommended by one of my high school seniors and we are so glad we took her, If you want to finish off your gen chem requirements, highly recommend her.
Good teacher with harsh grading criteria and hard in-person tests which absolutely blow your grade. She has a great personality but you cannot miss her daily lectures. We were half in-person and half online, some labs and lectures were in-person and they were great. Overall a depressing science class online if you don't take it with friends.
Hi, I took Chem 121 and now Chem 161 with prof Deodhar. She is super nice and personally cares about her students. Her lectures were interesting and the practice problems helped a lot. She is very approachable but you need to work as well. I ended with an A- and was hoping she teaching 162 in Fall. I highly recommend her. loved the climate project!
I loved her teaching style and I'm a visual learner. But, her lectures followed little structure, hard to keep track of what chapter we were on. She was late to class and office hours every single day! Towards the last half of the class she started getting lazy and her content started to make less sense.
I took gen chem1 at my U & had no clue what was going in, so I retook the accelerated class with Ms Deodhar. She is awesome. I loved her teaching style and she is super nice. You have to attend her lectures as she doesn't use textbook and her exams are slightly hard but I really understood the material. You do need to keep up. Highly recommend her.
After a long time I really liked my chem professor. She is a really good teacher. Her class is lecture heavy and you need to keep up as she doesn't use a text-book, but I really understood the concepts well. I wished she was teaching Chem 162.
I took Chem 121 online with Prof Deodhar in Fall 2021. She is amazing. Very approachable, very accessible beyond class hours and very clear Canvas content. Her weekly announcements were the best. I would recommend attending lecture as she solves lot of practice problems. She was very understanding during my covid time and I really appreciated that.
easy to get A+
do NOT take her class bc u wont learn bc lectures are extremely disorganized structureless. Uses whiteboard when teaching online and rambles about whatever topic. No visual aid connection to PowerPoint/textbook, learning is highly highly dependent on her; info is unreliable & non-helpful. Grade highly dependent on the two (??) midterms. prob fail
I love her inclusive teaching style. She is so down-to-earth, very fun personality. She said she loves her job(10 years). She cares about students & works hard to provide a variety of online resources for the class to learn through videos & interactive sims. Gives plenty of time to ask questions, gain understanding & complete the assignments.*****
I took Chem 100 this quarter and all I can say is she is awesome! One of my favorites. Am going to take Chem 121 with her next. She was always available, helped outside of class, provided lot of resources and it was an overall very interesting class. I would highly recommend her.
One of my favorite teacher. She is really kind, caring and an amazing teacher. We had so much fun in the class. I liked all the assignments and discussions. Most work is done during the class time. Highly recommend her.
Easy to get a A+ with her. Really nice in person and accessible after hours. Reasonable with everything and no late penalty for assignments. No mandatory attendance either.
Hi, am currently taking prof. Deodar for Chem 140 and she is one of the best professors I had. Her lectures are amazing and she really cares about her students. She is a very nice person and is very accessible in and outside class. I can't wait to take 161 with her.
Great professor. She knows chemistry and it shows.
I had prof Deodar for Chem 161 in the Spring quarter and I loved her. Her lectures were fun and she was very caring. She was accessible outside the classroom for extra help and really made me like Chemistry again. She worked around my robotics meet giving me make-up labs and quizzes and that was very helpful. I highly recommend her, she is awesome.
Prof. Deodhar was very kind and clearly knew a lot about chemistry. However, she was not very organized. Her study guides lacked entire units and her practice test keys had many incorrect answers which made it hard to study. She was open to questions and helping after class, but sometimes her information was incorrect and did more harm than good.
She is my favorite! I took hybrid 121 with her. Make sure to pay attention to the weekly announcements. She is super helpful and her lectures are awesome. I highly recommend her.
She is a great professor! It is very interesting to study Chemistry with her because she explains everything very well. All the assignments are taken care of in the class with the assistance of the professor to make sure the students do not leave the class with questions in their minds.
Honestly, she's not the worst teacher in the world, but definitely not the best. I wouldn't take this class again because it felt like she was very disorganized, lacked specific communication on what she wanted us to do, and the study guides were not accurate to what i'm actually studying for. Cool person, not cool teacher.
I took the accelerated class (Chem&161) with her this Summer and oh my god, I just loved her. Highly recommend her. The class was fun and she was one of the best instructors I had. The best 17 days of chemistry.
Shraddha is super cool. I finally learnt to laugh and live life again after some personal struggles. The class atmosphere was friendly, respectful and light. She really cares for you. I learnt so much and finally got a good grasp on my grades and studying pattern. And yes, she bakes yummy treats for the class. Highly, higly recommend her.
I was going through personal issues and was having a hard time. Shraddha would have extra office hours & was very patient. Once I messaged her at 11 pm & she was very accessible to help solve the HW. I ended up with a B+ in the class but it felt like an achievement for me. She is very caring and a great instructor. I am so glad I was in her class.
I took accelerated 161 this summer with professor Shraddha and she is one of the best teachers I had and this was the best class I have taken so far. She is an excellent teacher and cares for her students. I made an A in the class but all credit to her for always being accessible and willing to help. I miss her. Highly recommend her.
Am currently taking Chem 121 hybrid class and I just love her, her patience and her willingness to always help. Highly recommend her...
Taking Chemistry made me nervous, but Prof Shraddha is the best. She keeps her lectures clear and easy to understand, is available whenever you have a question, and it's clear she wants us to succeed.
Teaching-wise, gets an honest 3/5, sometimes isn't clear, sometimes goes too fast, but it's survivable. Otherwise, VERY accessible, very flexible with grading, and very caring. Makes the class a comfortable environment. Not a chemist and needed to take class for credit and it was better than expected. 5/5 would recommend.
She is one of the only professors who has answered every question at 11:00 pm. One of the best chemistry teachers I ever had. Amazing lectures, super caring and I wait for Mondays. Chemistry is not for me, but I made it! Highly recommend her.
One of the best. She's knowledgeable about the content and flexible with deadlines if you have an extenuating circumstance. Hybrid class, lots of notetaking from PPTs and recordings she posts, but she's always willing to answer qs. As long as you ask qs, take good notes and do all the labs its chill. And she gives students baked goods on exam days!
Professor Shraddha is an exceptional teacher who makes chem fun and engaging. Her lectures are straightforward, and she's always willing to help. Using unstuckstudy and staying on top of the material is key to success in her class.
Professor Deodar is my fav by far. She is extremely caring and is very accessible outside the class. Her lectures are very engaging and she encourages class participation by asking a lot of questions. She is very respectable towards all her students and I had the best time during the Fall quarter in her class. I would highly recommend her.
Professor Shraddha is very knowledgeable about Chemistry and helpful towards all her students! This class is extremely easy because we do all the assignments in class, which the Professor provides us with lots of help and new resources on how to feel more confident about Chemistry subjects. Definitely recommended this class!
Professor Shraddhu is very knowledgeable, all grades are clearly outlined with expectations. Releases schedule for the full quarter and what to expect. Answers emails relatively quickly if you need help or have clarification questions and is very understanding if you are sick/health. Lectures are good and does lots of in-class examples/work.
I cannot speak highly enough of Shraddha for being a very consistently engaging professor, who relays her passion and knowledge in the subject in an effective way. I had a ton of fun throughout the class, and cannot wait to be taking her for for CHEM&161. It's a good work load, and she challenges your understanding in a way I thoroughly enjoyed.
She rambled on and on during lectures, was consistently late, and didn't really explain the labs (was fine with me). A 95% was an A, took points off a project and didn't give feedback, also too many quizzes and worksheets. She was nice, would help if asked, 6 people got an A and 10 people A- for a combined lecture, not impossible, but unrealistic.
This was one of the science classes I enjoyed the most. Her lectures were clear and she returned back graded back very fast unlike my previous teachers. She is always accessible and helped me outside of the class time to understand the material and catch up. I highly recommend her
She is absolutely amazing. I was in her Chem-140 class and currently taking Chem-161. She is always available to help, works with you, solves a bunch of problems during the class, is flexible with my high school sport tournaments and is super nice. I started liking chemistry. Her class is lecture heavy but she is organized. I highly recommend her.
Professor Deodhar knows her stuff pretty well, despite the lectures being confusing at times. 2 exams and a final are given (1 extra credit point each), and it's a point-based system (no percentage weights for the tests). Make sure to complete all assignments and quizzes; there are no redos. If you want an A in the class, make sure to study HARD.
I loved her! She is an amazing professor! Very knowledgeable, lectures were engaging and actually helpful, and it's clear she really and genuinely cares about what she does and her students. I would take a class with her again in a heartbeat.
Currently taking her Chem 161 class and she is amazing. She is accessible outside of the class, always ready to help and really cares for her students. Her lectures were very helpful and she practiced lot of problems during the class. Her Canvas was very organized. The weekly announcement were super helpful. I highly recommend her.
Shraddha is super nice and willing to help. The class is lecture heavy, but does a lot of example problems during them. Only work outside of class is Pearson HW, lab reports, and a project at the end. The quiz and exam questions match up with her lectures. If you go to class and use the review materials the exams aren't too hard.
The way that Professor Deodhar teaches is mostly easy to understand and is helpful when you need help. She does multiple practice problems on each topic, which was also helpful. There is homework, and frequent quizzes, but as long as you pay attention and study the material thoroughly (there is a lot), you will succeed.
