Assignments are easy so long as you put your best effort into them as he only gives a few assignments and tests. You can only miss a max of 10 points to make that letter grade so be careful as you can only get 100 points out of a semester. Lectures are kinda boring but material is on his exams!

It helps to show up to class cause he tells you whats going to be on the test. he gives very few assignments. If you do it than you will get an A, and he only gives 4-5 assign. so u got to do good.

I took his online Modern Asian History class. Be prepared to do a lot of reading, but his assignments are pretty easy if you've read the textbook. He is also really understanding and responds quickly.

The class was very interesting for being an online class. Prof. Shuping Wan was very interactive and gave great feedback. I liked the way he taught so much that I took a second online course that he taught. I wish I could take his classes in person. He's a great professor!

Professor Wan is a very inspirational, passionate, knowledgeable professor. He puts emphasis on actually learning the material instead of just killing you with a million names and different dates. There is a lot of reading in the course, but he gives you plenty of time to get everything done on time. 100% would recommend to anyone in the future!

Professor Wan, Is a really hard grader he pushes due dates forward and makes us move at a fast pace. I also have other classes to do homework for. He doesnt help much when emailing him about questions. He expects students to know the material easily with no problems. Worst Professor Ive ever taken online or anywhere. Will not take ever again!!

Professor Wan is a great professor. He is very knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches and goes above and beyond to help you understand the complexities of the time period you are studying. Watching the documentaires he assigned really enlightened me to the hidden issues you dont really learn about in high school history classes. Take him!

I took his class online for the summer (due to pandemic) to get the credit, I don't really like history in general but he made it enjoyable, he is a very good professor. T/F quizzes on the material that's taught. Just do the readings and watch the videos he assigns and you will pass.

He's a chill professor that is very lenient and even though our class was 6 weeks long, man's somehow made it 5 weeks. Also, he's very lenient about due dates if you notify him in advance. The quizzes and exams are straight out of the book so prepare to take some notes!

Loved this course!! It was accelerated but it didn't feel fast paced at all! Professor Wan is the nicest professor I've had. Super caring and passionate about history. He also includes his own travels when we learn about different topics which was so fun. The quizzes are straight out of the book and he's a lenient grader on papers. DEF recommend!

Professor Wan is one of the best history teachers I have had in my life. I found his perspective on world views very impartial and interesting. I took his physical class and I have learned so much. This class is relatively easy as well and although there was a textbook, I did not use it a single time and still managed to get an A.

I took this class online but still understood everything. The quizzes were right from the textbook and the assignments were not that bad. We have weekly discussions which were also pretty easy. He gave us review questions to look over before midterms and finals. Overall, a great professor.

This professor's teaching style is clear and engaging. He is so lenient and an easy grader. His syllabus gives you a clear picture of the course. Small essays are basically summarizing a reading and giving your opinion. Quiz are easy and he reuses quiz questions in test. Discussions are simple. This is my 3rd class with him and he truly is the best

Great guy at heart, he's very caring but at the end of the day, not a great teacher. He has a heavy accent and at times is very hard to understand, this plays into the quizzes. if you don't understand the lectures you will not pass the quizzes.

Have to read two full books that are over 300 pages each (one for a book review). A lot of his quizzes and the final are all multiple-choice questions, many of them being true or false questions which makes them easy. One discussion each week that has a follow-up question. I thought the class would be harder but he makes it seems pretty easy.

Homework due every week, with an occasional additional discussion which can be a lot but that is coming from someone that didn't do the readings but he isn't a harsh grader as long as you show understanding. The quizzes came with helpful study guides and majority of the quizzes have the same questions that will be on the exams.
