Shes tough, but shes wicked smart. The class wont be easy, but youll learn a lot. She has an organized and strict approach, but shes brilliant and a joy to learn from.

She is clearly passionate and well educated when it comes to history. Her lectures make taking notes easy and fun. Her tests are not proctored and are open note. Overall a pretty easy class, you just need to take good notes and stay on top of the weekly assignments. She's super caring and responds quickly to emails!

This class requires lots of notetaking that is submitted every week. There are 2 tests, a midterm and a final which are based on the notes. There is a discussion due every week and a reading quiz from the textbook. Taking organized notes and studying for tests is key to success. Professor Goodale is passionate about history and very organized.

She lets you make up late work if you email her. Pretty easy to pass her class if you even care a little bit.

The class is mostly videos which works well with my learning style. The professor makes her own videos with slides. It's kinda like being in class in person. Not too difficult to get an A in this class if you stay organized.

Professor Goodale's class was the best class I've taken so far at OCC. I would recommend her to anyone who needs to take a history class to graduate. Lots of lecture material to listen to, but it was good information. You get to use your notes on the midterm and final We had to read the textbook and take quizzes for it even though nothing from the textbook was on the final.

With everything that's going on in our country this class was worth it. Honestly, I never thought I cared about history but we learned about so many topics that are relevant today from the supreme court to rights for minorities and lgbtq+. I would recommend taking this class if you need a history class.

I took this class online 2022. She can give a lot of homework during the week but if you stay on top of it it's manageable. I loved all the cool topics on history and learned so much more than I have in past classes. I enjoyed the structure and predictably of her class. She'a awesome take her!!

great prof!! shes upfront about what she wants from your work and criteria for assignments. for online class you have to watch lecture videos and take notes but you get credit for them which is great. highly recommend professor goodale

What I liked most about this class compared to other online classes I've taken was how easy it was to know what to do. Her class is so organized and clear and every week is pretty much the same deadlines except for midterm and finals. I definitely think the predictability was a huge factor in why I liked the class so much.

Great class! Professor Goodale is really passionate about history and she teaches a lot of history that high school leaves out. I definitely learned some new and pretty messed up things about our country.

The schedule in this class is very manageable. I'm taking it as a winter class, so things move very fast but still Professor Goodale has everything set up so that even with all the work in a short amount of time it's easy to keep up. Deadlines are very clear and she sends out friendly deadline reminders. She really cares about her students.

The deadlines are the same every week which is easy. Professor Goodale opened the module early one week for me to help me with my work schedule. She wants students to do well. She is very organized.

She was great at not showing political bias in her lectures which so many other professors lack. Intersession class is very labor intensive with full notes of all lecture material being due 4 days a week so be ready. I'm sure during a standard semester it is much better. U.S. history with Professor Goodale is very straightforward, and I appreciate that. As someone who has taken a lot of online classes, it is rare to take a class where everything is so clear.There were no surprises. Took online during intercession and it was a lot of work. You watch online lectures from her and take notes on it that you submit for credit. Not a hard class just a lot of work. She is very clear in how she wants the notes formatted and is really nice. There is a lot of videos to watch but the class is very doable.

I took this class over intersession and it was a ton of work. However, I heavily procrastinated and would leave it all to the last day. Probably ~10 hours of work a week, however it is a 4 week class. It is definitely doable if you manage your time better as the assignments and tests are straightforward. Nice professor, definitely cares.
