Good professor...Easy and funny..explains well..

Attendance is a sign in sheet and her tests aren't too bad. She gives homework almost every class but lets you hand it all in at the end. The class is laid back but the material is a little tough if you never go. She's really nice and understanding. Achem

She's the nicest teacher i've had this semester. She's really easy, gives extra credit and even group tests! She collects homework once a week, but you can do it in groups. So basically if someone does the HW all you have to do is put your name on it

Uses a simple approach to linear programming/operations research. Tests seem easy but only because of her accurate teaching method. I learned the material very well in her class, unlike other horrible professors like Gerber. I would retake Prof. Rizza.

she was a very easy teacher if you do your work . An easy A ...group tests and hw count and she grades easily.

If there was a math god, I'd seek to her for every math course. Little off some times with her teaching (but no one is perfect). My advice Take Her!!!

Great teacher- I liked her- I dont know why people would give her bad rating- probably cuz they are the lazy ones, but really- she is great and she grades exams so nicely, you could get 103 on a test cuz she adds points if you do HW.

Great teacher. :) I'll miss her... always smiles a lot. Funny too sometimes. Just make sure you go to every class... one class, and you can miss a lot. takes whole period of class, but worth it. makes some mistakes, but overall... i enjoyed her.

She is the easiest and nicest math teacher what u can get at SJU!Seriously, where else will u get test with 3 questions on it and if u don't do 1 of them u still get 97???:)3 tests 20% each,10% h/w, one final-go home with an A and 102 average!

You can hand in homework late and get full credit, on time and its 2 extra credit points, 10 question tests (4) that she goes over before hand, easy material, cute accent-pregnant tho so probably wont be back for a while

Great teacher, gives alot of homework, but trust me do them and you will do wonderful in her class. Tests are easy, never leave any question blank, you have to take her...

THE BEST MATH TEACHER! SO EASY. I hated math b4 i went into this class and got an A in her class. Go everyday, do all the homework and she will help you when u ask(even on tests). She seems ditzy and has an accent but believe me DONT DROP HER. shes too good and shes too easy.

Her class was EASY. It does not get any better. I absolutely loved her. I felt super smart in her class and she even helps you out on the test just ask. She's great! (she is on maternity leave for the spring 05 semester.)

I love this lady...despite the fact that we learn eygptian math, and russian addition...I got an A...do all hw assignments and ur excempt from final!

She is the funniest teacher I've ever had!! So many inside jokes!! She makes Statistics fun and shes really animated..take her she gives a lot of extra credit and its an easy A

she's so easy! we barely used the textbook, tho we did have hw from it. if u were getting an a in the class, you didn't have to take the final. i would definitely take her again.

LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT. WHEN I DO HORRIBLE IN MY PROJECT, SHE LET ME REDO IT. GROUP EXAM BOOST MY HIGH EXAM GRADES EVEN HIGHER.

She is clear and simple in her lectures. Tests are so easy that everyone got at least 90+ in the class, and if not, there are so many extra credits, it's impossible to get anything below A. Plus she is also very nice and easy-going. Of course, there are morons in this world who would simply do literally nothing and complain all the time.

Prof. Rizza is a great teacher! She actually made Stats enjoyable! (I am a person that doesn't like Math much either lol!) I got a B in the class. Her sister, who also teaches Stats, is also great as well! A must take class!

She is funny and has an awesome accent! She gives 4 exams, the last was a group exam...but if u show up late u have to work alone. Her exams are easy if u show up to class for the review. She gives optional hw daily which counts as extra cred on exams. Attendance counts. Expelled some guy for havin someone else attempt to take the test for him.

Work load is easy but stay on top of your homework. The course work itself is jr. high level. Rizza is very nice, and makes herself available for test review. You will do well, just do what you have to do ;) not hard at all

take her! She is a very generous grader and she gives a review sheet before each tests with problems that are very similar to the ones on the tests. Also, she gives extra points on the homework and adds these points to the final grade. Also, she tries, in any way possible, to make you understand the material and overall, she's awesome so take her!

Best Calc teacher you can get! Homework all counts as extra credit, and the problems assigned are exactly like the dozen examples done in class. The tests are exactly like the review sheets, in some cases the exact same question appears on an exam. Just do the work and it's an easy A, very clear and understandable professor, highly recommended.

She gives you alot of homework but at the end they are very helpful when studing or preparing you for the exams. Her reviews are usually harder than the exams if not they are same.

Great professor but she does teach at a fast pace. Sometimes she won't stop to answer questions but she's happy to stay after class. 3 "exams" of 8-11 questions and optional homework that counts as extra credit. I was devastated to learn she didn't teach stat.

Her class is the best math class I've ever taken. Her class is easy and will save your grade. She also gives out extra credit points on every homework that you do. The best thing is that she gives out test reviews which are almost identical to her tests. THIS WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE SO MUCH EASIER. I highly recommend taking her class.

She collects hw assignments for extra credit, so you don't have to do any of them if you don't need the EC. The extra credit points range from 1-4 and she adds those points directly to the next test's grade. This saved me! Come to class because all the examples are incredible helpful. She is very sweet & kind. Sometimes gives formulas for the tests

Professor Rizza is absolutely amazing! Hands down best math professor ever. She makes Calculus as easy as learning the alphabet. Teaches by doing a lot of practice problems! I zoned out sometimes during class but she walked through all of the problems, answered questions clearly, and gave an extra credit assignment every week. It was a lot of work but definitely worth it because I didnt really absorb information until doing the problems myself. She also gave and went through review sheets that were just like the test.

I love this class. It isn't stressful and the tests are easy because she gives out a review sheet that is very similar to the test. The homework's are a lot but they're all extra credit for the test which is amazing. You're test grade can basically go from a 80 to a 100 because of the homework!

I am not the best in math let alone calculus but professor rizza made it so simple to understand. Calculus is kinda easy if you're familiar with the information and hard if your not. Mrs. Rizza is an amazing calc teacher, her lectures are very clear and everything she teaches shows up on the exams. All the homework is extra credit toward the tests (do it all, trust me) and the tests are very similar to the practice test. Mrs. Rizza is a gem.

Took Professor Rizza for biostats. Solid choice. Go to class, gives lecture, do practice problems, she assigns homework. Homework is all extra credit, DO IT! Gives review sheet before every exam, KNOW IT WELL. It is all you need to study from. Stay on top of the lessons, don't fall back. Just be a good student, go to class and study, you'll be good

Professor Rizza is an angel. She is so organized and I literally felt like she performed her magic on me after every class. I understood every concept after the end of class. She is available for help if you need. Her lectures are very well put together. The tests are very easy, and homework gives you extra credit points, so remember to do them.

Professor Rizza is the most kind-hearted person. She enlightens the class with her funny personality. She offers EC as homework, so if you do the homework then you can save up extra credit that would help your GPA. Her review sheets are very helpful so make sure you do them before the day of the test. Highly recommend for calc/stat.

Probably the best math teacher I've ever had. Teaches all the material very clearly, homework is just like the lesson (and extra credit). Goes over a review sheet before each test with exactly what you need to know. Cares about the subject and the students and jokes around a lot. Grade is based solely on test scores. Uses textbook in every class.

She was an amazing Biostats professor. You don't have to read the textbook because she goes over everything you need to know during class. All the homework is optional and comes from the textbook and counted towards extra credit though, so you should do it. There was only like 4 exams and she has a review the class before each test.

She is the best math professor you could ask for. She makes learning the material very easy. You can just throw the textbook away because it's absolutely not necessary (Except she assigns homework from there so... but it's accessible online for free) She always gives practice tests and the actual exams are based from that. Lots of extra credit!!

from the first class I knew I would love her and this class! she is very caring to those who need help or extra credit. homework can be annoying and hard at times ,but sometimes she would extra credit points for it. her tests were fairly easy if you studied and understood the material. take her class!!!

Even if you do bad on the exams you will still get a good grade because the homework's count as extra credit, and the final is optional.

If I could give Prof. Rizza 10 stars I would. Such a kind soul, you can tell that she is truly passionate about her profession. Explains the lessons in detail, audibly. Textbook is free online. Weekly homework, but very simple. Three exams, if you have a question during she will try to help you the best she can. SJU Profs suck, she is the best ever

Professor Rizza was by far a great professor. Only has 3 exams for the semester and the lowest one gets replaced by the final. Hw was very reasonable and she taught the material very well. Definitely recommend!

Prof Rizza leads a very organized and structured course. She assigns weekly homework which can be long but as long as you have class notes you can do them very easily-- just a bit time-consuming. Tests are exactly like her review sheet. Got a 115% in her class after extra credit. As long as you go to class regularly you can get the same.

Take her class! I never had a good foundation for math and my whole life math has always been my worst subject but she changed that. She goes step by step on how to do literally every question you might see on hw or on tests. She gives a lot of homework but it's easy and it helps with the tests a lot. The first time I got an A in math was with her.

Take this professor!!! Professor Rizza is amazing! Come to class, do the homework, complete and study the review sheet, and you should get an A. This is not a lecture class, she actually teaches everything to you. Formulas are given during the exams. Sweet person, good energy, understanding, was genuinely interested in the course.

Hey, Gabriel here. The lectures were thorough, and each contributed heavily to the following exam. The homework prepared us for each lesson, and I enjoyed this class overall! She takes time to help anyone who lacks confidence and is willing to do their best in biostatistics.

Please take this teacher!! She clearly explains the lesson within each class and will always offer to help if you have questions. Her grading is 100% off of exams, but the lowest score can be dropped and you get extra credit if you do the homework and participate. She gives a review day class along with a review sheet before each exam.

Amazing!!!! I had Professor Rizza for MTH 1210 and I'm taking her again next semester for MTH 1220. Lectures are thorough and your grade is based mainly off of exams and homework but she gave extra credit if you turned the homework the day it was due. If you do the homework, go to the lectures, and study you will be fine.

Professor Rizza should be given the acknowledgement she deserves. Besides making sure that her students understand the material, She goes beyond by not cutting any steps when explaining the problems. She is such a passionate teacher and I really did learn so much from her. The second you see her on your registration take her, you won't regret it.
