very very good teacher. Helps when you need help, gives good reviews for mid-terms and finals! Doesn't give much homework, a good teacher especially if you have no idea about the language.

I had this professor for spanish 101 and 102 and got A's and I am horrible in apanish. She is really helpful and so nice. She really cares about her students and is always there for help. She is very understanding. You have to go to class though and you should do the hw, its never a lot. Her tests are easy though, nothing tricky. Awesome lady.

Silvina was my tutor, she is amazing. Helped me with Spanish and even rewarded me with Dulce de leche and cookies from her vacation to Argentina.

She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She explains things crealy and makes you work hard for your grade. She doesn't like to BS around, and tries really hard to give you the best education a professor can ever give to their students. One of the best experiences I've had ever! Will be taking another class with her.

This professor is very smart. Although English is not her native tongue, she has a very good command of it. She is very animated and this helps us understand the info in her lectures. She genuinely wants all her students to do well and goes all out to help us.

Best Spanish teacher, you have to have a natural appreciation and interest in Spanish to like her classes. Teaches w/ dedication and knows what she's talking about. I highly recommend her.

Ignore the negative comments about this teacher. DO NOT come to class if you didn't study before hand. There's a TON of vocab to memorize and she expects you to have it memorized each week. And it's at least 50 new words per week. Her class is not a free ride; you have to put in the time studying AND you have to go to the lab each week.

She is the best Spanish professor. I took her for both 101 & 102 and got A's. She goes out of her way to help you if are trying but finding it difficult. She uses her animation and examples very well so it helps us. However, she gets very frustrated with people who do not study, do not do what they are supposed to and are not prepared.

She cares about her students and how they do in her class. She'll go out of her way to help you if you show that you actually care. She's very nice and as long as you do the homework, you'll pass. She does alot of class discussion as well so make sure to be prepared

Really nice professor. Some tips if you ever take her: (1) Make sure you take notes for the next class, because she will expect you to answer what you've read. (2) Do ALL the HWK (3) Don't be absent, show her that you care. (4) Raise your hand a lot and participate. Do all these things and you will walk away with an A. Study for the exams!

She's not that hard. Make sure you always bring text book and work book to the class. If you study, you'll be fine. She expects you to take notes and do HW. I got an A in her class.

Great Teacher, really sparked my interest in advanced spanish. You have to work in her class. You have to read, and you must be prepared. Beyond that, you will learn something!

To be honest, I hated her from the first email she sent me when I was switching into her class. I thought it would be easy and it wasn't easy but I learned alot.. She expects you to do all the homework, take notes on the reading and go to the lab 30 mins a week. BUT she is a really good teacher is you let her teach you and listen to her !

dude, some of these negative comments are so wrong. Yes there's studying, hw, and tests but hello?? That's school. Welcome to college. Just do all the hw and you'll do fine. It's not really as hard as some make it. Learning a new language is always hard but she actually made it fun and answered all of my questions. Really, not so hard, recommended.

For a Beginner's class it is very hard. I took spanish for many years before taking her class but she is really pushy and gets annoyed when you get something wrong. She expects everyone to speak fluently with a wide vocabulary and memorized the day before we actually learn in class. Expects too much out of students at such a beginner level.

Took online course. You do most of the work through the online "workbook". She answered emails quickly and sent out a weekly review before the tests. You have to be able to learn and your own, and it isn't easy, but I really liked her. She is a stickler for spelling and accent marks, but it's all part of the language.

Learned a lot from this class. You have to be very prepared (do your homework) before going to class or you will be embarrassed. Every student has to answer a question from the homework in class. You have to bring your textbooks everyday. Very nice person always available to help.

The kindest professor I’ve ever had. Very respectful. I absolutely love her, she knows a lot and teaches in a clear way. Took her Spanish/ Bilingual class and she made me understand and love the culture of my ancestors. Be sure to study and Go to class! Participation is extremely important for her! Do not pass up a chance to take a class with her.

Easy A. just do my spanishlab and get a 100 because you have unlimited tries. 4 tests and a final. drops lowest test grade. highly recommend taking online course if you know some Spanish from highschool if not it will be difficult.

She expects a lot out of her students. I took this class not knowing what to expect, and i did ok. I got a C. Her tests are more difficult than they needed to be. I felt like i was prepared for a lot of tests, and some tests were challenging. If you are a good spanish student, i would take her class because then maybe it would be good for you.

Absolutely LOVEDDD HER!!! Yes she gives a lot of work and expects you to study but hello it's college. She's very helpful and informative. Her tests are kinda tricky but nothing that you can't pass with some studying . Definitely recommend her!

Dra. Trica-Flores is an inspirational woman and fantastic professor. She is always there for you for any sort of help you might need, you only have to ask. The course itself isn't too difficult but you are expected to participate in class and complete all assignments on time.

I loved her so much I took her twice! She is a dedicated Professor. If you put in the work (which is not an easy A ) she will go above and beyond for you to make sure you understand the material. A highly effective teacher. She immerses you in the language, but offers help each step of the way. She has a lively, engaging teaching style. She genuinely cares about her students, wants them to succeed. If you need Language for the ESOL CST, take her class because she teaches the grammar needed. Would definitely take another class she taught.

If you put in the required work she is very understanding. I really enjoyed taking her and even though it was not easy, I walked away really understanding the language. She is a tough teacher but she makes sure to help each student. I would definitely recommend her as she is also very funny and makes the class interesting.

THE BEST class you can take. If you are latino this class will make you understand your culture but reading text. This covers history, literature and general knowledge. After this class I learned to read texts book and learn from them. You will never regret taking this class. You have to study but you will study so happily. Hands down!

I really enjoyed her Medical Spanish II course. I learned a lot more than I could have on my own time and taking her 3hr. lecture once a week was a great way to start my journey in becoming fluent in spanish. Just make sure you attend every class, come prepared with your textbooks, take notes, and complete all homework assignments before class!

Trica-Flores' courses are very HARD, DON'T take if you're LAZY do take if you're looking for a professor who will CHALLENGE you. I learned a lot from her in the past two semesters. She changed the way I think about so many things. She is amazing, but DON'T ASSUME YOU WILL PASS HER 205/206 BECAUSE YOU'RE SPANISH, YOU WILL FAIL WITH THAT MENTALITY.

Dr. T will teach you how to speak with patients. Knows 5 languages, will learn your name, goals & strengths. She puts in mucho effort, and you only have to meet her half way. Targets what's needed during small group practice. Her Spanish is clear as a bell, and understands horrible pronounciation, due toSuper power hearing. Talk to her .

I really enjoyed the class, if you want to learn a lot about the Spanish language this is a great class! My professor cares about the students, if you do your work, listen, participate, and STUDY you can get a great grade and learn from the class.
