She real nice to boys so if your a girl don't take her. Easy class but projects aren't that easy.
Fluture's an OK teacher whose class is ruined by a terrible attitude toward her students. She enjoys riduculing students for wrong answers & bad test results; even when relaying good test results feels a need to write things like 'don't think you're all that great.' Her bad English is a problem too.
i am surprised she is still teaching.
She has to be the worst teacher I have ever taken. She cant speak proper English, she can't write proper English, and she has no teaching skills what so ever. Do yourself a favor and avoid her at all cost. Easy class made very difficult.
Enjoyed the class. She goes out of her way to give extra credit. You have to study though. Projects were a lot of work.
she was more helpful rthis summer than last spring...almost like a total metamorphasis. even when i had a 4-day business trip during midterms, she helped me out.

Need to have interest and learn everything she teaches in class to pass. She is helpful and can be a generous grader if you complete all of her projects and show up to class. You just have to participate and show interrest in the subject she teaches. I've had her for 2 classes already.
If you study and do all the work assigned you ll get the A. Do well in the beginning and make sure you do not miss a class and that she knows who you are.
Nasty and ill attitude toward teaching. but she's always teaching the core courses. the worst part of the program.
Took her this summer and she was actually really nice despite what others have said. She is extremely fair and helpful. CAUTION: her quizes take the whole period and her exams are very thourough. You will learn a lot in the class. She expects a lot from her students, but gives them the grades they deserve. READING AND STUDYING ARE A MUST.
Actually, your first impression is good. She seems nice. Specially, before the cutoff to drop. Once that is over, she is a freak. She let it all out. It is her way to get even. She will take your questions and comments but after the cutoff. She will give you the harsh look if you ask any questions, or hint she is not lecture well.
I think she is manic depressive. Don't what you read here, she rates herself. I swear. Notice any nice comment follows Need to be interest in classs, Need to Read, sounds just like her. I tell your - she should not be teaching, she seems to hate to teach, it is sad.

CONS: She hates to teach (evident by all the sighing) She's not prepared or organized. You must teach yourself. PROS: attendance & participation unneccessary, only 2 curved quizzes and no HW. My major gripe is that there was so much work @ end of term (making webpage) which wasn't clearly taught. During lecture, you'll want to rip your hair out :)
She make you work hard. She is very helpful and would go to great length to help you out. She divides her semester into 2-3 quizzes and 2 exams and she is a fair grader too. If you hate to work hard, don't blame it on her. Her lectures are posted on her site too.
I agree with some of the students.. this prof. acts like she dont care and gives you a hard time to those who does not know material.. 2/3 drop course(me too) ... and she gives test after drop date? But overall.. WORK HARD LIKE SUPER HARD she is mean but only prof who teach the damn course.. but work hard and you will pass
I don't have to add my comments to all those here, but just to keep things recent... Although I found her to be very nice, letting me (and others) make up tests, turn in assignments late, etc. as a teacher she just, well, you'll want to go to sleep. She has some problems speaking English (just syllable pronounciation and stuff) and she doesn't
The truth is, the course is an interesting one, although she finds a way to make it extremely boring. If you have a general knowledge of computers, you'll do pretty well. I didn't go to any lectures, just read her slides online and did pretty well.
Took her online business statistics class. She is not very involved, and I did well only becuase I recently took business statistics (it did not transfer so I had to retake it). Overall, she is okay, however if you struggle with math in general this course may be tough for you.
I am so glad Professor Fluture started teaching classes she enjoys instead of just boring CS stuff. I took CS340 with her, what a bore... but this class was amazing! So much enthusiasm and it useful stuff. Ethics, Pricing, and Computer Finance.
she assumes u took Queens College Oper Sys course, any where else wont work, because she teaches the only OS and Distr Sys courses, same materials from all semesters, and re-iterate the same lectures and seems annoyed to teach, Advice: DO NOT TEACH, and take course somewhere else or prepare to be bored with her lack of ethusiasm, but exams are easy
If you don't run into a problem, she will be fine. But if you make the slightest mistake, she's a total b***h, I swear. And if you're an CUNY online student, collaborating with other students to do her work is not allowed, that's somehow called cheating. She's unprofessional and impatient. I guarantee if you are about you're grade, you will hate her
I think she is a nice lady, and good teacher. I am just be honest, she is a fair grade becasue she even give the credit you wrote on the scrah paper from exam. But I have to work hard, is only way to get good grade. Always be honest!
Fair and easygoing with the asssignments. It seems she just wants students to do the work to the best of their ability. Lectures are kind of fuzzy and boring. Has her crabby days and may snap unexpectedly.
It's ridiculous not to get an A in this class. I started the semester shaky with a sub-par grade on the first exam but after putting in a little work I worked my way back up. It's true she sighs during the middle of class but that is because she believes that the students are not interested and that she is wasting her time. Show that hard work.
Sweetest lady ever! She wants all her students to do well, even though exams are difficult. My advice is to get a study group, which is helpful, if not essential to passing class. Also, don't ignore HW assignments or quizzes--these are all key factors in your grade. Finally, lighten up, it's comp sci after all, don't expect it to be entertaining.
i don not really know why some students do not like her, fair grader + fair exams, exams are form the lecture notes"not the online notes" dont be afraid to ask questions ...if you do your work you cant get less than a B
one of the best professors in QC all u have to do is study for her class , she is really nice and really care about her students
One of the Best Professors I had in School of professional studies at CUNY
This is a hard class. DO YOUR WORK ! She is the only teacher for that class at the time. She doesn't explain well. READ MATERIAL BEFORE CLASS ! She is very sweet. Ask question and participate, DO HomeWork its helps your grade. Get a study group. Be ready to have extra material because she doesn't explain at all.
I am quite convinced that the only reason she's teaching this course is to keep students from earning their CS degree. Not only is her class boring, but she's currently the only one @ QC teaching it. She's also a Material Recycler. Even though she teaches the exact same stuff each semester, taking her twice won't guarantee you'll get a C or better.
Exams are easy enough, but hell the exams are extremely hard. But, since shes the only one teaching, everyone's will basically have to stick to it.
Doesn't explain things well. Tests are hard.
1st off, she doesnt kno how 2 teach (PERIOD), But it's fairly easy 2 get an A in her class IF u go over da notes given in class and do all her HW (google stuff if u dont understand) Everything in da 1st exam comes from da 1st 2 HWs & 4 da 2nd exam u have to teach urself MIPS and also go over the programs she gives u. She is a sincere grader!
Shes the only one that teaches the course, the course itself is hard. and she doesnt really know how to teach. Easy HW, hard exams.
Shes not so bad! first of all shes the only one teaching so you dont have a choice. Just go to her class and take notes everything she asks in tests are stright from her notes. Make sure you talk in class you get extra credit for it and if u talk in class she teaches much better. She believes that students have to try to learn as well!
worst professor I ever saw for 344. Partial, not helpful !! Hard exams & projects!! You take 0 with you from this class !! I strongly do not recommend this prof. She should not be there !
walks into class each day looking like she wants to kill herself and takes her miserable life out on the students. she mumbles, doesnt explain stuff clearly and gets upset when ppl ask questions. her exams are difficult and have stuff she never went over in class. worst teacher i ever took. avoid
Definitely NOT the instructor that would stimulate your interest in computers, that's for sure. But she is a very generous grader, and sometimes, she'll help you DURING a test. I've studied the night before an exam and did extremely well, that should say it all. No need to buy the textbook by the way.
This woman knows her stuff and is a good prof. She can explain well, but you have to pay attention and take notes. Her homeworks and problems sets are very helpful for exams, so do them. She's not out to fail anyone and she actually does care about her students and whether they learn or not.
Class started by practicing yourself. If you have questions, you ask her. If you don't know, practice the textbook exercise on your own before you go to class. Website can be hard or easy. Depends on whether you spend time on it. Put this way. If you know microsoft and are willing to spend time on web page design, this is an easy A.
Her lectures and web notes aren't very clear, and I often had to refer to the textbook or research everything on my own to get a grasp of anything that was taught in class. However, she's a fair grader; if you come to class, participate, and show that you understand the material, you will get a good grade. Also offers chances for extra credit.
She's the only one who teaches this course if you're a CS major! Take lots of notes, read the textbook, and you'll do good. The projects are a bit hard though. Make sure you don't get on her bad side. The only gripe I have is she doesn't return exams back.
Do the practice HWs and programming assignments since those are basically the tests.
Generous teacher; will give you a C if you manage a 67 average. THE TESTS ARE 90% HWRK! Gives extra points for writing more than is necessary. Go early for her tests; extra time is necessary. Review lecture notes before and GO TO CLASS. She is very fair but will not work with you if you DON'T REVIEW LECTURE NOTES. Waives final for good students!!
I have a list of problems with this teacher; 1. Never before have I been yelled at for 5 minutes about asking to go over a question. 2. Shes very difficult to understand, her handwriting is neat, but she created her own alphabet. 3. The class notes barely help. 4. About 60% of the students dropped the class. If you don't believe me ask any CS major
She's the only professor the course. txtbk is good to have but not a req. The homeworks and assignments are very hard, the tests are very long and you never have enough time to finish everything. Go to every class with the online supplements and take good notes. Do the homeworks to the best of your ability, because the tests are 90% HW. Good luck.
Print out the lecture notes or you will be lost.
avoid this professor at all cost. one of the worst professors in the cs department. but she is the only one teaching that class so you are stuck, which means try to get an epermit and take the class at some other school
Ratings here are way too harsh. She is a nice person and she will try to answer your questions if you take an interest in the material. Her tests are mostly comprised of homework/ lecture material, so if you pay attention in class, you will not have trouble getting an A.
Attend, study on your own like any other subject to do well.Second, tests are long but she gives you enough time to finish as long as you study. You should get an easy A.For projects,easy..except for final test, and project..they are a little trivial but start doing it early so should finish it..she isn't bad, but won't help you if don't show effort
She really doesn't like teaching , She comes to class depressed and disengaged, choices certain people to be nice to, She don't know how to teach . Yells at entire class for poor grade.
She doesn't know the material well enough to teach it. Taught convoluted ways of doing things like using trial & error to determine overflows instead of 2^n. Accused me of cheating for getting 100 on an assignment. A student asked how to do something & her response was "you know, just do it". Gets mad when students are confused. Just terrible.
Go to class, listen, participate and review. Tests are fair. Long fun projects. She is very helpful if you show interest.
Cons: This instructor does not explain material effectively. She does not return exams. Class is boring. Pros: Expectations are clear in terms of which topics will be tested, review materials are relevant to the exams, and the course website is extremely well-organized. If you can teach yourself, it's a pain, but you'll be OK.
Knows her stuff. Doesn't explain much however. Zero context is given as to why the material is important. Usually gets annoyed when students ask questions... Mostly because the questions students ask are stupid. Don't expect to learn much in class. If you're good at studying on your own you'll get the A. 2 tests, 1 final, few HWs.
If you care about teacher's mood, she is not for you. She had depressing energy, but I didn't care and I liked her. She gives grades and feedback very fast. Maybe because it's summer class. The subject of class is somewhat difficult so it would be hard to pass this class without self-study.
Here's the deal professor Fluture is a GOOD teacher. She really knows her stuff, if you put in the interest and continue to ask her questions, she won't like you at first but if you stick around you guys will get along. Take her, she'll give you a chance if you do your work. She may not be the most enthusiastic person, but she will still answeryou.
Maybe because students aren't good and interested in the material, but Prof. Simina is really good. Go absorb material and study hard will get you a better experience.
The best professor thus far for CS240. Don't understand why so many complains. All you have to do is pay attention and study the materials she teaches. You won't expect anything new that she hasn't taught in class. Students fail only because they do not pay attention.
Professor Fluture knows her stuff, but is not good at teaching it. She's nice and helpful, but you are expected to study a lot on your own. Overall, this is an easy class and anyone should be able to pull an A if you put efforts into studying.
Honestly one of the worst professors I've had. She is always willing to help, but classes are painful and she doesn't do a good job of explaining the material. What I hated most was that she had such negativity everyday which doesn't motivate me to learn the subject.
Tough teacher, has a thick accent and can be hard to understand. The course itself is demanding, you have to understand binary, logic, and assembly language. Put the work in and practice because you're basically learning a new language here. She's the only option for this course I had so just buckle down and do it.
Her accent isn't that bad, but she writes her m's like n's and vice versa which gets annoying. Her attitude is so-so. She gets mad when no one participates. Show her that you care about that class and that you try, and she'll help you. She has reviews before exams and 3 projects. She does curve a little.
I don't understand what these other students are complaining about. Professor Fluture is hands down one of the more helpful CSCI professor in the Computer Science Department. CS240 is such an easy class to pass! She gives a lot of extra credit too! Just pay attention, review a little and you'll get an easy A.
This is a tough class and you have to work hard to pass. I recommend getting past exams and memorizing them. Lots of projects and homework. She is a fair grader and gives you a C if your total is around 67. You will have to do a lot of self studying because the lectures aren't so clear.
GREAT teacher!! Exel is hard to learn but the professor is clear with the expectations of students. If you are responsible you will do well in the class. She is there for students that make the effort and want to learn. Three test and weekly labs. Do all the required work, show interest, and you will succeed. Absolutely would take this prof. again!
Read this before signing up for 340. She gives ridiculous projects towards the end that I don't think even she can do. Her explanation is terrible, so it's hard to learn from her. She is a very smart woman, but I think she needs lessons about interacting/teaching students. Tough class, don't cheat and try to do what you can. Good luck.
Take the other instructor - that's my recommendation. I couldn't get into his section and ended up dropping this one in the middle of the semester as I couldn't take the unnecessary drama.
Such a nice professor
Two exams make up 75% of your grade, and they're way way harder than then the other professors exams teaching the same course. Do yourself a favor and take another professor for 240.
Terrible professor. Please avoid.
She's very rude. Doesn't teach anything to be honest, she's just there to hand out papers in the beginning of class.
Excellent prof. She really knows her stuff. Be very careful to follow directions. She basically tells you what's on the tests. There is a lot to learn and she has excellent resources for you as well. I would say that it is a packed course as well.
I dropped the course. Study from the start of course! There is no single textbook she follows. Skipping a class copying someone else's notes. Since she erases the board quickly not everyone will be able to have good notes studying on your own not sure which textbook to use for studying skipping the chapter Work piles up cram WU
Really nice professor n very helpful if you ask questions/discuss after class. asking useless/bs questions during lecture she may get mad but if you show effort n be honest (DONT CHEAT ON PROJECTS and EXAMS) u will at least pass so long as you didn't seriously screw up on the midterm and/or final. Not too difficult if u put in the work on time.
If you are considering signing up for 344, then get ready to learn new things. It's a good continuation of 340, but it's more material. You will deal with sockets and ports and much more connectivity on distributed systems. Try to talk to her if you are having struggles. Show your effort and try not to give up if it gets tough. All the best.
Great professor! She gives very clear instructions and the class in mainly focused on practicing in Excel.
Good professor and co-operative if you show your interest in topics. You have to work hard or at least group study to pass her class. From exam perspective, her notes and class notes are enough. For projects, she is fair grader and understands that not everyone is a java programmer. Dont cheat in exam or project, otherwise F is confirmed
This is more like "do it yourself" class (even for labs). She helps from time to time but sometimes shows lack of interest to some students. Exams are not easy because there are different sections which require time (if your not familiar with excel and functions) Wish she gave more extra credit for B+ and A
This lady apparently was given too many classes to handle so she releases her frustration on the students. She gets mad if you don't ask questions but also gets mad if you do. If she deems your question as stupid she'll make sure you know. No textbook followed so it makes self-studying a little difficult. Two exams are 75% of your grade.
tests and quizzes are manageable. Projects lol, she thinks everyone is a java programmer. If you have no experience with threads you will get a tough time and just forget about semaphores (2nd project) could not even write one line of it. Had to lose 12%. why hard ? bcus she does not teach. she will just give u project and not tell u how to do it
Exams and quizzes incorporates calculation and logic, no memorization will help. She is a heavy grader, but she gives an approximate whole letter grade curve on exams. Don't ask dumb questions, the "so-in-other-words.." or I'll-ask-what-I-already-know questions. She puts up lecture notes on her site. Exams are 75% of the grade.
i know you've limited choice for CS340, so to pass or get a B on this class, do the following:- 1st term- study all theories, 70% chance passing ( don't mess up on this exam) 2nd term- give your best with semaphores 3rd term - just piece of cake ( make some friends, u can learn whole thing in an hour) 2 well both quizes & attempt the project.
I took her class for 240 in Spring '17. She is one of the best professors I have ever had in QC. Her exams are easy(Just study the review sheets and HW). They are pretty much similar to the exam. Homework EASY and Projects can be a bit tedious, but if you do so well on the exams, then you have a better chance of a B- or better. Enjoy :3
Great teacher. Really knows what she's talking about, and tries to help you understand the topics. That being said, you have to work hard and put in effort outside of the class. Not an easy A, but definitely attainable. Would recommend.
Very nice lady with straightforward exams. Exam review lists exactly what to expect. Don't take the class if you don't know how to code. If you can code and dedicate time to studying, it's an EASY A.
Great professor. She knows the subject very well and available after and outside the class. That being said, you have to put some effort to learn the topics, do study group and MUST DO the test review problems. Extra credits are also available on tests. Got an A+.
Took her for CS240 and CS340. She's a very good professor as opposed to the professors we have here at QC. You do have to work for your grade though. I thoroughly enjoyed her 340 class. Hardest part of the class for me was her Project 2 (Semaphores). I know many will disagree with my rating but it is what it is.
She is fair and teaches useful stuff
She is a good professor and cares about her students. You definitely have to put in the work for this class because its a difficult class. You have to study a lot for the exams. She does not tolerate cheating in her class she takes it very serious. Please don't cheat on the projects or on the exams or else an F is definitely coming your way.
This Professor is very caring for her students. Helps you do well on your test. That being said, YOU have to work hard for your grade. The exams have a lot of material, but it is possible to study for them if you put in the time. If you have other classes that involve studying a lot, I don't recommend taking this class with her.
After midterm ,only 11 of 35 students left. How can you guys call her a good professor? She spreads her negative energy all over the classroom. Every day I prayed to finish this class as soon as possible even I got a A.
So, I took her for 240 in SP'17. Now I am taking her for 343. This is one of the toughest class i token. After the midterm, you are going o do a lot of self studying for the final. The final was super easy though, Just study what she tells you and the topics for the presentation. Just pay attention what she is wiring on the board, it helps!
Gives 3 tests for OS. She's a decent professor who tries to make you understand the material. Tests include discussion questions to make sure you understand what's happening in the scenario presented. 2 major java projects which many do not finish (grade is based on effort). Find class members to form study groups and share any info that can help.
Only 2 tests. 1st exam covers mostly the digital circuit aspect of CPU which she goes +-over a lot. 2nd exam is based on group presentation, pipeline, and memory (cache, ram). Be prepared to learn a lot of material by yourself.
If you barely passed 340 and didn't know what to do on Thread and Semaphore project. Do not take this class as you will learn hell a lot more material on 344, do lots of self studying and your coding skill will be put to the test.
Please avoid
Horrible professor, very outdated textbook, nasty attitude, illegible handwriting, unclear explanations, weird exams, assigns projects which Im SURE she cant even do herself. If she's not familiar with your answer even if it's 100% right, then it's completely wrong which implies she doesn't really know the material. The list can go on & on & on.
She's okay. My gripe with her is her attitude. I just feel she doesn't feel happy, like ever. Never smiles. Always talking in a deadpan voice. When asking her a question, she responds as if trying to say "How do you not know this? Are you stupid?". That's probably not her intention honestly, but it's what it feels like.
her grading policy for 343 is rough. If you got less than 67(after a 6point curve) in any of the 2 exams, you fail the course. there is a group presentation towards to end of the semester. She doesnt explain in depth so you have to do the study. Her exams are not easy and takes points off like crazy. If possible avoid.
Extremely hard class based solely on tests and projects. She gives you one week each to do both projects which is no time, based on threads and semaphores both worth 6 % each. Dont take if ur not good at coding lost the 12 % b/c of that. Her tests are also very hard with class avg around 60-70s. Be prepared to study day/night for this class.
Her teaching skills are not worth the dust on my shoes. Lectures are extremely boring and she has a nasty attitude. The only good thing is that she tells you exactly what will be on the exams which makes the class possible to pass. Lots of self studying and you won't learn much.
The professor is a nice and good grader, but she does not know how to motivate the students well. The class is tough, but it is very useful for a software engineer. The students have to study hard to pass the exams and finish the projects. You can learn a lot if you have done it.
She is a very dull lecturer. a lot of the info I needed to know had to be self taught. She doesnt seem like she is too willing to answer questions or help outside of class but you can always try.
She is knowledgeable and does care about her students. Do study before you and after lectures. If you study 1 hour or so for each lecture you can definitely get an A. I've taken her for 240, 343, and 340. Same strategy works every time. My average for all her classes is a B+
2 Exams, if you get a 67 or below automatic F for the course, no exceptions. She has a heavy accent and doesn't write the English letters properly. She has an attitude when the class doesn't correct her when shes wrong, to the extent where she takes off points from exams if it happens too much. If you take her, good luck, you'll need it.
Made me stop being a CS Major because he class is literally unpass-able. There is no redemption, once you fail an exam you fail the whole class. Even if you get a 100 on the first exam then a 66 on the second you get an F.
Class is nearly impossible to pass when there is only 2 exams using a 67 or fail policy. Is rude towards students and fails to motivate students due to this. A good amount of students will either withdraw or fail the course. Will be avoiding her from now on.
It's a easy class, you just need to spend some time on reading the textbook then you will be fine. I didn't study and doning review on the final or midterm, but i still get a+. In addition, assinment and class participation is really important.
If you can avoid her, avoid her. Snapped at a student that asked a question that I also had and told her why arent you paying attention i said this 5 times already. Very broken english, if you fail 1 of the 2 exams its an automatic F. Stopped showing up to class, the textbook has everything you need to get an A.
She is very cranky and yells at students but just ignore it and read the textbook, study past material, and it's not hard to get an A. The textbook is helpful in understanding stuff you dont get in class. Quizzes are easy boosts to your grade. Just don't slack, and you'll be fine.
I suggest you skip her class if you need Statistics as a requirement. She is very abrupt and her comments are brash, rude, and unprofessional. This comes across in her responses to students. She acts as if you are suppose to know the answers to the work and doesnt provide the best support. If possible, STAY FAR AWAY!
She is a fair professor and answers all questions. Exams and projects are not that difficult, but if you dont study hard you will fail. CS240 is not supposed to be an easy course. She sometimes had a grumpy demeanor, but it never hindered my ability to do well in the course.
Avoid her at all costs. Terrible professor, can barely understand what she says because of her accent. Gets angry and stops teaching if students dont understand the material. Has a terrible policy where if you fail either final or midterm, you get an automatic F in the class. One of the worst professors Ive ever taken
Dr. Fluture is a fair professor, though sometimes she can be less than enthusiastic about teaching. She explains the important things, yet there are some topics that you'll just have to teach yourself. Grading policy is rather unforgiving, but overall, she's not as bad as people make it seem! Just give her a chance and trust her!
Anything before the midterm she will teach perfectly fine however post midterm when it gets to assembly she begins to teach the class very poorly. Her grading policy is very strict say you pass the midterm with 100 but get less than 65 in the final you automatically fail her class. Oh and yes her final is very hard.
I took her class over the summer. Her lectures aren't great but at least the class is easy. Assignments, tests, and study guides are poorly-written so you'll spend a lot of time trying to interpret what she means.
fail an examfail the course
You have to work for your grade, as you should, but if you don't have a natural affinity for the subject she isn't helpful. A bit of an attitude, a very strict grading policy that leaves no room for error, tests are full of untaught material. The only ones who enjoy her class are the ones talented to begin with. No help for those who aren't.
After teaching the same materials with the same exact pdf's over decades, it is still riddled with errors and leaves you questioning the topics more than resolving any issues. has a putrid attitude, and some questions on the tests are super ambiguous. avoid with you life. o wait you cant because severe lack of prof.
Provides no feedback whatsoever. Teaches you things and then tests you as if you are an expert, instead of helping you build up the skill set. Guides are vague and unhelpful, so you'll teach yourself, but even if you do her vague specifications make it so that you aren't sure what she wants or is asking for. Unhelpful, unclear, avoid if you can.
Very rude when you ask for help. Got an email suddenly saying "Don't play games and say you were confused" over information she had given us a while ago. Seems very annoyed when you email her for help.
DO NOT TAKE HER! Attempts to give lectures but is very unclear in instructions. Assumes all students already have knowledge in the subject even though it is an intro class. Grades very strictly based off of the one or two students in class that are actually able to follow her lectures in class. Expect to teach yourself everything! Very rude.
She really just doesn't know how to teach the material. I ended up teaching myself most of it. Very rude and frankly she doesn't seem like she likes doing her job. just don't take her if you want a decent grade.
Good luck understanding what she is saying. Clearly shows she does not want to teach and gets FRUSTRATED when students ask questions. Honestly do not know why she chose this profession; always cranky and takes it out on students. She should be your last resort. Even then, good luck teaching yourself.
She is unenthusiastic, easily agitated, rude, and speaks in a dejected voice most of the time. Her explanations of the material will often leave you confused. She had threatened us with failure if we didn't get on camera during her online exams. The tests were difficult. That being said, she's probably your best option for 340. Good luck.
just finished 340, her pdf notes were clear and tells you exactly whats on the exam, but her explanations were often confusing. Begs you to participate but gets nasty when you ask questions then wonders why no one talks in the class. Literally ALWAYS in a bad mood. Says she doesnt curve but she does. Better than svitak but def avoid if possible.
Bruh participation matters but gets mad when you ask a question. Apparently, if you ask a question twice her blood pressure will go up like whattttttttttt I'm tryna learn. What is the point of teaching if you don't wanna teach
At first I didn't like her, her attitude is very serious most of the time. But once you get to know her she is very nice and considerate. She really knows the subject well. Does her best to help you pass but doesn't hand out freebies, you still have to earn it. I definitely recommend her if your willing to work.
Lectures were straight forward and homework was closely tied to lecture material. If you focus in class and practice at home you should do great. Tests were fair. You do need to study but there are no surprises. Quizzes were pretty straight forward too only like 3-4 questions. She does have a bit of attitude but nothing that really bothered me.
I mean what can I say about this living, breathing pile of mess, insanity will seem like a compliment tbh but I dont have a better way of putting words to describe her. She DOES NOT CARE about how well you do in the finals, you don't pass her midterm, you are NOT PASSING the whole course. Like there's probably no other professor who ever does this.
She needs to retire. She is very emotionally unstable to teach, and she takes out her stress on the students.
One of the worst professors I have ever taken. One of the worst teachers PERIOD. She does not care about her students and shows up tp class with an attitude every single day. Always in a bad mood when you try to ask a question. Honestly made me scared to participate in class because I did not want to hear her *sigh* if I asked a question.
I've taken this professor twice, I hated it both times, she moves too fast and she doesnt explain anything to the extent it needs to be. Fall semester 2020, I stayed up for 16 hours straight just studying EVERYTHING that she taught, when the time came for the test NOTHING I studied was there, I had a mental breakdown & was forced to drop the class.
A very knowledgeable and wonderful human being. I understand that some folk may define her attitude as rude or intimidating, but if you ask questions in a respectful manner, then you should be fine. Yes, she may laugh at your question. So try making your question sound serious, even though you know your question is out of place or just dumb.
I am not sure if this professor is good or bad. Took online class, completely lost throughout the semester, don't know what's going on. She provides handouts, however exams and quizzes were completely different than what she taught on class. Exams were taken on blackboard timed, You have to be really fast typer, and cannot go back to previous qstns
The lack of good CS Professor's in Queens College is a shame. Add Professor Fluture to that list. Her accent makes her lectures difficult to understand and she's constantly mad. Google your question before you ask her because she'll make you look like an idiot. I am not sure how she got her PhD but she should return it ASAP. AVOID.
Don't make the same mistake I did and downplay these reviews :( She's not a bad person, but unless you have thick skin her attitude is draining. She gives review sheets for tests, but no answers with work. Assumes what you "should" know, so you'll often teach yourself. You're paying all this money; you can wait for a better prof to open.
You can't really ask a question because she will just give you attitude and tell you that you don't pay attention. But she doesn't realize she can't teach for her life. Worst prof ive probably ever taken in my life. Makes review sheet but doesnt go over them. She doesn't teach because she thinks we know everything. Don't take this so called "prof"
Worst CS prof ever. Unclear projects and homework. Last month was all presentation no teaching. Lazy. Doesn't go over homework or projects or reviews for midterms/finals. Reused exams. Lazy. Bad attitude. Avoid taking her if you want to pass or graduate. No amount of studying will make you understand what she is saying.
Never take this class with this professor or you will regret your whole life. This professor is lazy and does not teach at all but still gives tough assignments. If she is your prof you will most likely fail. It's obvious that she hates her job. I left this class with a less amount of knowledge then I came in with.
Ms. Fluture is one of the worst professors I have ever had in my life. I am a student at Queens College and wouldnt recommend to take her class at all; As she lacks the desire to teach. I fully regret taking this course and spending my hard-earned money to receive low-quality teaching.
She doesn't explain intensely. Moreover, she confuses a lot. I recommend not to take her.
Please be advised that WAIT for the good rating professor for CSCI-340 (OPERATING SYSTEM PRINCIPLES) in QC. Don't take your chance in her class. It's better to graduate with a good GPA patiently. Do not rush and take her. You will end up with F/withdrawl with a low GPA and also you" ll stuck in this course if you take her again and again.
Simina should retire. She is the worst professor i took in QC. She has no desire to teach/help students to learn. She focuses more to go against students rather than helping us to actually learn. Do yourself a favor and take someone else
This professor does not know how to teach the material . She is a very harsh grader . Just avoid her please !!!
Decent lecturer, encourages participation and doesn't shame you for being wrong. Very little required hw but lots of optional and/or extra credit assignments. DO THESE!! Exams would have been impossible without the extra practice, and extra credit can bump you up an entire letter grade on exams.
She's a really nice lady although she may seem tough at first, all you literally have to do is take notes in her class and understand what she says and you can get an A+. Her first project was a little difficult especially with the time crunch you have in summer. Try to participate too, it will help you pay attention.
Greatest Advice: "DO NOT TAKE HER". She doesn't have manners to talk screams all the time. Never satisfied with your answers. Your GPA will be ruined. She loves failing you..
She is tough in start but if you follow her lectures, take notes you can get a good grade. Don't hesitate to ask her questions because she encourages students to ask questions.
It's 'professors' like Fluture that make you want to drop out of your major and make you really think why you make sure to show up and spend 1.5 hours in an online lecture. Her notes are literally jargonic, confusing notes written in obscure English that are clearly 10 years old. She can't explain questions if her life counted on it. I
Some of her lectures are a drag but overall Fluture is a pretty good professor. Exams are tough but she gives out sample problems and reviews them during lecture which helps a TON. She's pretty generous with extra credit for students who participate. Projects were also super tough but she grades those pretty generously IMO.
Simply you just spend time and money. Middle of the class you will DROP because she is ridicules for all.
If you dont like to put in a little work, you should just drop out of cs. Fluture's class requires you to work for your grade but it isnt as terrible how people describe it. Go to class everyday, participate and literally you can boost up a whole letter grade. A lot extra credit opportunity in class. Makes you work for the exam curve which I liked.
If you just wanna pass somehow with little amount of work just dont take her. She will make you work for it. Literally most studnets drop her class and the reason is themselves. They didnt put enough work and resulting the conseuqences. participate in class and you can be her favorite student. Also it will literally motivate you to do well.
I wish there were more professors in qc like her. An absolute gem. I would take any classes with her.
A month into Fall 2022 semester and in my Jr. year, I genuinely want to drop out of CS because of this class. Extremely difficult and soul-draining. If you are not comfortable with CSCI 240 materials DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS AND THIS PROFESSOR.
Save your sanity and time, do not pick this professor for CS343. She over complicates material that you can learn easily from youtube videos about the topic. I had to pick between Vivek, Anne-Smith and Fluture, and I chose the wrong professor for this class. The exams are terrifyingly difficult.
If you have anxiety dont take. This prof gave me a lower grade bc i was coughing during a presentation because of an anxiety attack.
She should be banned from teaching undergrads and kicked out of QC.
She is actually not that bad. She is the type to have tough love for her students. She is really mean and would say things but mainly its for you to push yourself. Her tests are exactly the review sheet. She gives a lot of extra credit hw. Its really easy to do well in her class. Her teaching style is easy if you pay attention to her lecture.
said her daughter in the second grade has more intellect than the class
I have mixed feeling for this Professor, she is nice sometimes, but at certain days she is angry for no reason. She looks tough, but if you get to know her, she is a soft person inside. But make sure you know the lectures, because she is a tough grader.
All of the below, both the good and bad, are true. Doesn't really seem to like teaching and gets upset at us for not knowing stuff, but at the same time doesn't teach very well. Can't blame her as many students also just don't try. Go to class, take notes, do all the practice questions, and you can easily do well. Didn't learn too much though imo.
Her grading criteria is fair. If you put enough effort into this class then you can definitely pass. She does get upset when you ask question but she will also answer them for you in detail. I found her nice over all.
Took her for Winter 2023, and let me say this: it was very challenging, but in a good way because she makes you work for your grade. She set a C letter grade at 70, so if you put in the effort to study, then you can pass the class. Be warn: she is a tough grader, so make sure you're fast and accurate in solving the quizzes and exams.
She is always willing to help students in office hours. If you study and do her H.W's you will pass.
...The worst professor I've ever had. Her course is as if a bad AI wrote it. The homeworks are useless, tedious, and don't help you learn anything. Her lecture notes are also poorly written. The first homework makes you do useless research for 4 pages. She's really boring and I fall asleep in her lectures. These good reviews of her are fake.
Fluture is the best option for 340 but let me tell you. YOU HAVE to put in the work. She likes those that put a lot of effort into this class. She doesn't like failing students. This class specifically is not like the other CS classes where somehow you can manage to study 2 days before an exam and you can somehow manage to get a good grade.
she can be a little mean sometimes and her explanations are usually not very clear but her exams are not hard and she gives extra credit and a curve(she add 7 pts to our grade) which i think is way better than all my other nice teachers who give hard exams with no extra credit and put stuff on their test that they didn't even teach
So she has the worst attitude I've seen in any professor and I'm a second bachelor's seeking student so I've had a lot of professors. This could be overlooked if she was actually good at teaching, but she is not. Only upside is she doesn't change her exams much from semester to semester so you have an idea of what to expect for those.
While many people may have had a negative experience with professor Fluture, I found Fluture to be very sweet and respectful to me during class. if you are making mistakes in the class she will keep it real with you if you are being lazy and making mistakes. Make sure you do the extra credit as the type question will show up later on the exams
My computer science professor had high grading standards and limited guidance. Exams differed from lecture notes, requiring extra effort. Growth opportunities exist, but consider learning preferences before enrolling.
Absolutely terrible. Do not take her!!
Yes, the other reviews are correct in saying that she is rude. If you can deal with that though, her class, while very difficult, has no surprises. She tells you exactly what you will be tested on, and if you can do those things, you'll get a good grade. Beware of using resources to help do your project, she WILL quiz you on it during the exam.
could barley understand anything during her lectures as she just rambles on the entire class time.
I get that she might not be for everyone, but I find her weirdly endearing. She tells you exactly what is going to be on her exams. The material is tough, but she does a decent job in teaching it. You should be fine if you study. Definitely worse options out there.
Understanding her class is easy if you know computers. She skips crucial explanations, disregards new students, and makes simple things needlessly complex. If you're experienced and want credits, she's fine. But for beginners? Avoid! Her teaching style will have you doubting yourself, spending most of your time searching for materials.
She likes the good students but is very harsh on failing students. She doesn't mind failing you if you don't put in the work. But if you do, you will find that her lectures while being a lot to absorb are very informative and are what she bases her assignments and exams off of. The class is very hard but you will come out knowing the material well.
This prof is genuinely an unhappy person, I understand most people don't want to be teaching but she shows it, with bad explanations, terrible handwriting, refusal to repeat answers, she cant teach assumes you should know everything.I have never had a professor as bad as her in my life, please don't take her 70 percent of class always withdraws
The worst of the worst! Don't ever take her!!! Please listen. DO NOT TAKE HER. This is a warning. Take someone else!
She is an amazing professor .If you attend her lecture on time and read her pdf before that class you will realize she teach us each topic way better then outside youtube videos . Exams and reviews are almost same .If you put some time you will do really well .She wants her students to do well .Give lots of extra credit .
The meanest professor I ever had!
Please don't take her. It is a request. Please save your money and don't pay for her class.
BEST PROFFESSOR EVER. Show up to all the classes and put in the effort; you will do well. She is always willing to help. She also gives a lot of extra credits; do them, and you won't regret it. She also tells you exactly what will be coming in the exams. I highly recommend her.
1 homework, 2 Quizzes, 2 exams. and 1 group presentation. She gives sample questions that are similar to the exam questions. Gives EC questions, do them you'll need them. Kinda tough grader but not that bad. Put in average effort and it'll be an easy pass. If you want a high grade, do above the average little bit and it's guaranteed. Boring lecs.
She rambles on about subject that are not in the lecture and it's so hard to understand what she is saying. She provides Study material but she always go off topic when teaching. It's so hard following her lectures and sometimes it's difficult to read her handwriting.
Would be best to avoid her as a professor. She'll give you attitude when you ask questions. She insults her students too, and is very rude.
Seems so unhappy and reflects that on her lectures. She insulted the class when no one understood her material and proceeded to say "you guys are so slow I don't know why you guys are so slow." She is constantly very insulting towards people.
I don't know why people don't like her. She simplifies textbook concepts and gives excellent lectures, and honestly, her exams were exact to what she said they'd be. Only 1 - 2 questions were not explicitly given, but if you studied you would know the answer. She can be a little rough around the edges, but if you ask good questions, she's nice.
Awesome
Amazing Lecture.
Awesome instructor. Better than others
Dr. F is awesome
She is most terrible prof i ever had in my LIFE!!!. SHE was giving attitude to students that she will not repeat what she said while few students didn't understand what she said in her thick accent. IDK why she still a prof. SHE IS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. SHE DOES NOT CARE HOW HARD u try she will regardless fail u if u don't get grades.
If you're considering taking a summer course with Dr. Fluture, think twice. It's true what they say: "no future with Fluture." Her summer session is incredibly difficult, with no room for adjustment. She expects you to learn six months' worth of material in one month, and while it is an accelerated course, she does not make it any easier.
Dr. Fluture is extremely rude, and if you ask questions she is quite literally snarky and condescending. Students suggest being nice to her or showing interest in her work, but this tactic doesn't seem to work unless you're a top performer. Her favoritism is evident, creating a hostile learning environment for everyone else.
Please do not take, you are wasting your time and energy! Epermit if anything.
i basically lost my job because of her, and my future. hope she gets her karma back one day
Prof, give my money back. You don't deserve a single cent from anyone. Instead, you should be paying students for registering for your class. You should be ashamed of yourself for ruining students' futures, time, and money. If you have even the smallest amount of morality, quit your job and release all the CS students from this torment.
She is awesome
one of the hardest teachers at QC. she does not GAF, she will just keep going. I liked her though because she was available at office hours, but she is super harsh sometimes, and her tests are brutal (her curve is like 5 points too). don't take if you want an easy A because it won't happen. but the curve at the end of the semester slaps like crazy.
Professor Fluture's teaching approach is deeply problematic and detrimental to students' learning. Her demeaning behavior, including calling students slow, stupid, or screw-ups, creates a hostile environment that undermines confidence and discourages learning. Do not take if you do not have a strong background in CS.
To the CS Department, Please fire her. We're sick and tired of our money being wasted on disasters. Enough is enough!
All the possitive comments are written by her. Do not fall it.
340 done now on to Fall. Enjoy august break everyone
I took 340course during the summer session. The workload was heavy, with 2 quizzes, 2 projects, and a final. Many students, including myself, found it challenging to keep up, and nearly 50% of the class dropped after the 1 mid.Her teaching style wasn't very engaging, as her voice tended to be monotonic, and her accent made it hard to follow at times
The exams were quite difficult, and I felt that the teaching did not adequately prepare us for them. Additionally, she seemed unapproachable and sometimes rude. When students asked questions, she would occasionally respond harshly, which made it uncomfortable to seek help.Overall,I wouldn't recommend this professor. Don't waste your time and money
No future with Fluture!!!
You get what you put in. I emailed her almost daily asking random questions and by midterm she knew me and definitely graded my exam less harshly. Final was price of cake. She is better option than others for 340 but I wouldn't rdcommend taking this class in summer
Took her in the spring for 340 and had to drop it. Thought she was bad, when it was really on me. Having 343 in the summer gave me more time to focus. The first half was more difficult than the second. Do the extra credit, it helps your understanding and your grade. She also tells you exactly what will be on the exams. That helped me ace the final.
Avoid this professor at all costs - her teaching style is ineffective and she can be quite rude. The exams are brutally difficult, and she shows clear favoritism towards certain students. Instead, try using Unstuckstudy ai for exam prep - it was a lifesaver for me.
Literally the worst professor at QC in my opinion. Her teaching style is extremely outdated and she is very rude to students. She sees most students as cheaters or liars which I get a lot of CUNY students abuse the system but that does not give her the right to treat us the way she does. She is awful at explaining and assumes you know everything.
She sets you up so you know exactly whats going to be in the exam. She gets alot of hate from her semi harsh attitude but other than that she's your best option other than prof Vivek. Just put in work and your set.
It feels like she doesn't care.
OH MY GOD Please. You need to show BOTH CORRECT WORK DONE AND ANSWERS, in order to get credited for HWs/Quizzes/Exams. If you only have one of them. You will not receive not even a single point. As if this professor don't like students these days with much easier life. I'm addressing this issue to the department.
This professor creates a toxic, unprofessional environment where asking questions leads to humiliation or sarcasm. Lectures are unclear, and she blames students for her own lack of clarity. Instead of supporting learning, she intimidates and belittles, making the class stressful and unproductive. RUN RUN RUN
Test matches the material taught, I suppose
If you actually want to learn something I would recommend taking it with Professor Fluture. She tells you exactly what's on the exam(what else can you ask for?). I would say the attendance is mandatory since she made her lecture note in a form that there are parts to be filled in class. Study and you will do well.
Professor Simina Fluture is one of the few good CS professors in QC. Like Professor Obrenic, she's also using the angry grandma character. If you want easy CS240 and CS343 just take it with her. YES, she tells you exactly what you need to know and I do think attendance is mandatory if you want to do well. Want to learn? Take Professor Fluture.
She will let you cheat if she likes you. Otherwise you are cooked even if you are a genius.
Sometimes i used to drive fast in hopes that i wouldnt make it… but i passed. So im glad i made it.
This class is her hardest class. It's an exam-heavy class with two midterms and a final to test your understanding of the material. The lectures are very, very important, so get ready to take notes. She does care about each of her students; if you don't give up on yourself, she won't give up on you.
Hands down most disrespectful professor I have ever witnessed in my college journey. Will constantly write, explain things wrong during a lecture and not be able to express herself correctly. Writes disrespectful, unnecessary and insulting comments in your assignments for absolutely no reason other than being spiteful. Do Not Take Her
she is amazing. be nice to her and earn A
Exams hard for no reason and she will curve less than 5 points. U can pass but i don't recommend
Professor Fluture deserves a higher rating. I took this class during the summer. You can get an A if you study every lecture and course material assigned. She also gives a lot of opportunities for extra credits, which helps you prepare for the exams and boosts your grade.
LISTEN! Don't blame the students for not answering your questions and don't like you. Explain your QUESTIONS CLEARLY! Don't let students half guess your questions. Students are not MIND READER!!! You lie to test grades. There is no way with ur grading standards , a class exam avg is 75. You lie. You let "good" students easy. You should be fired. fu
She gets a bad rap, but she's one of the better professors here at QC. She knows what she's talking about and has been working in CS longer than we've all been alive, that's more than enough reason to take her classes. Attend office hours when confused and don't take anything to heart, she's actually pretty nice. Read other reviews for specifics.
Within the first lecture you can tell this professor does not want to be there. Does the absolute bare minimum when it comes to teaching and explaining content. Always has some sort of attitude when you ask questions, share an answer, or interact with her. Im not sure why its okay to have someone act like a child in a learning environment lol.Avoid
Rude. Does not give partial credit. Explains things poorly
Best option for 340. Other classes you would have to study, her - easy A
She was an AMAZING professor. Her teaching style is clear and engaging, and she explains things in a way that's easy to understand. She gives a lot of extra credit, and she is always willing to help during office hours. If you truly want to learn, I highly recommend taking her class!
This professor does NOT teach anything and her reviews are only good because people just want the C to pass and don't care about learning which is fine because that's the standard at our glorious queens college. She is extremely rude and brushes over topics. Doesnt go into them. Take her for a easy pass but if you want to learn buy a textbook.
The review saying "this is the class to take to learn" is mega fake. She nothing is clear and her outline is all over the place. Her lectures have random slides, information, and diagrams. She pulls them up during the lecture and lollygags until class is over. I promise you if everyone didn't have previous exams the class average would be 23.
Doesn't know her own stuff. ur waiting for her to figure it out so she can teach it to you LOL. You don't get the luxury of having an attitude and not knowing what you're teaching but apparently she thinks otherwise. Take her for the free A - B+ but you won't learn; good luck answering basic comp archt. or OS questions during an interview.
Made a racist remark to an african american classmate comparing him to a black actor because of his hair. This type of behavior is not welcome in classrooms. This along with her negative attitude towards students and favoritism towards some is just disgusting.
This professor is completely clueless and apathetic when it comes to student's lives. She refuses to do even the bare minimum in terms of teaching, it's clear she lives solely for the research grant aspect of her job. If you value your sentience, stay away from Professor Fluture
This professor is ruder than a sassy DMV employee. Good luck if you have any questions… you have better luck asking your mom for McDonalds on the way home from a doctor's appoint than asking her for any help.
"If you failed both midterms the possibility of ending up with a total in the course >70 is low". What does this even mean lol? the syllabus / grading breakdown is all over the place and the professor is really disorganized. I am saying this as someone who got good grades. DO NOT TAKE HER.
BORING AND DIDN'T TELL US THE FINAL WAS NOT CUMULATIVE UNTIL THE END. UNCLEAR.
The class is really easy. I would 100% recommend coming to the class since every topic is taught with details. She goes over the previous exam questions and you get similar pattern questions in the exam. You have 5 quizzes she drops the lowest 2. If you get less than 60 in midterm, your final is cumulative and that is posted in brightspace.
It's crazy that professors write their own reviews in 2025. None of the material on the syllabus was taught in depth nor was the order we followed sequential. Professor Fluture jumped around the syllabus and went over surface level concepts with little to no effort during lectures. It's like she doesn't wanna teach. This and her constant negativity
Little to no learning done through her lectures. Most kids just skip her and study the leaked test questions since she reuses them. She puts the bare minimum amount of effort during lectures and is constantly pissed. Only take her if you can get the test questions and have an outlet to study that topic from for the semester! Otherwise RUN FAR AWAY!
Awful at teaching but the previous notes/exams/quizzes helps get through the class. I read the assigned textbook that we never used to learn instead of lectures because she does the bare minimum when it comes to teaching students. Always has an attitude that presents a hostile environment if you wanna ask questions or get help in any way.
study her past exam and you will pass
Best teacher queens college has to offer
Saw reviews and was scared to take her, but glad I did. Was tough at first learning all the 240 materials then 343.Things get easier after midterm and if you show improvement, you'll be fine. It's true she gets annoyed quickly but she also explains everything and tells you what'll be on test. Multiple extra credit, small curve, drops lowest grade
Would not recommend at all. I was a 3.8 GPA student for reference and this was by far the hardest class i've ever taken. Heard a lot better about other professors. Do not take, no curve no nothing and quizzes.
Fluture was once goated when she had the curve, but now with the random pop quizzes every couple classes and exam versions, i think CS department cracking down on her. More than half class struggled but thankfully I took anne-smith semester b4 so I was able to kinda understand her thick japanese accent.
The only reason anyone takes Flu is because exams are the same each semester. Her lectures are pretty boring and uninspiring. You take the class to move on, not really learn anything. That said, you need to go to class and she'll mention what'll be on the exam, just need to parse it out between all the other random stuff. Def doable, just painful
DON'T TAKE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GPA AND YOUR SANITY!. Your exam grade depends on whether she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She gets mad when you ask her questions even though its her job. Gave a random coding question about a project with multiple files and refuses to grade if wrong. I believe in witchcraft now because of this professor.
Future is a good professor, but she is a very harsh grader. She only accepts answers the way she taught in class. If it's anything different then she doesn't give grace points. She also gets very annoyed if you ask her any questions. 1 homework, 2 midterms, 2 quizzes, 1 presentation, and a final. Take her on your own risk.
This semester was my one of the worst semester because of this class. I spentt most of my time behind this class. Be ready to memorize stuff. We want us to write in her own way. She want people to ask question in class, but when someone ask she got angry. She is a tough grader. 2 HW, 2 projects, 2 midterms and final.
Tough class that is going to take a lot of time studying for. She is the best option for 343 though. Just use the study resources that are out there to practice similar problems on the exam. Do the extra credit, go to office hours, and attend class, and you will get on her good side. She can come off rude, but just have thick skin, you'll be fine.
Easiest way to pass is using the online resources for her class and memorizing. Helped big on Exams, quizzes and extra credit. Attending class helps a lot too. You can also improve your midterm grades on the final exam, if you didn't do well, so it is very manageable to get a C. Show you're putting in effort and you will pass.
Took her for both 343 and 340. For 340, took this fall and honestly I learnt a lot. I'll remember her advices forever. She really wants us learn and do good in future. Only reason she's picky about projects is she really wants to us learn the concepts. Honestly materials of 340 at QC is hard, but she tries best to make it as convenient as possible.
She's clearly smart, but not very approachable and often extremely moody. Office hours felt uncomfortable, like questions weren't welcome, and it seemed she had favorites; the way she treated me felt very different. If you take her class, rely on online resources and past exams, especially if the exam format doesn't change.
