Dr. Gardiner will always be there for you if you ask for help. I passed this class with an A because I payed attention, and stayed focus. Dr. Gardiner comes off as tough, but it's just because she wants the best for her students. Dr. Gardiner truly inspired me. She made a big impact on my life, and prepared me for my future. Thank you Dr. Gardiner!

The people who rate badly are people who aren't prepared for toughness, it was a hard class, but I learned a lot with it. Amazing Professor. If you're a student that's ready to learn, take her.

Dr. Gardiner really changed my life. I always respected her for the work she put into the class room. She was there for me more like a mentor than a professor. I can't thank her enough. She will help you when you need it just come to class and do the work and you will be fine. The work is not hard! You just can't be lazy. I will miss taking her class.

Tough but very fair and competent professor. Challenges you to work hard in order to give you a better work ethics. The class does feel a little bit rushed but it is completely understandable due to circumstances. To other people who complain, if this is the hardest teacher you've had then you've had a very easy life. Be prepared!

DR GARDINER is awesome. At first, she will appear as rude and mean. However, if you stay with her class, you will definitely like her. She gives a lot of extra credits for whoever is willing to work for it. She will give you study sheets before quizzes. I am sure you will get 100% if you actually make notes. HARD but FAIR. She has a very strong personality. If you are not sure of the career that you chose, she will be harder on you, but only because deep down she wants you to choose well and to succeed in your future. Although she may apeer very strict, she is disciplined and very decent. Consider this class as a boot camp but keep in mind that this instructor has a very big heart no matter how much she prepares us. Her assignments are easy, as long as you take the time to do it. At first, she seems to be very tough, but with time you come find out that she is the best. she gives bonus points, but you must work for it. if she teaches any other class other than EDUC, i will choose her over and over again

There are 4 tests and 1 essay and 1 presentation that isn't difficult at all. Most of the assignments she gives is online. If you miss 3 days, whatever grade you have at the end of the semester, she will drop 1leter grade One thing I didn't like about her was that she isn't understanding whatsoever. So if you have a lot going on, do not take her.

This professor is one of the best professor here at HCC -Alief campus. She is a no-nonsense lady and she tells you the truth. If you are a lazy study, love to make excuses and you are a lazy person well this class and professor is not for you. People tend to critique her but majority of us students need to look within ourselves first.

If you are hesitant about taking Dr. Gardiner, don't be. She may come off as mean during the first few weeks. I do really think it's to weed out people who don't want to work for their grade because those people usually drop but then you find out that she's a really nice person and you will get the grade you deserve as long as you work for it.

This is one of the best professors HCC -Alief has to teach this first year class. Dr. Gardiner is a no nonsense professor. She loves her students and means good to us. If you are lazing, love making excuses then you will think she is mean. She does not sugar quote but is a real woman, down to earth. She is the best professor.

Stop hating on the professor and I know she explained in class about the revised changes on the syllabus and also the information online in CANVAS. She's a good lecturer guys, i mean all you need to do is do the work and everyone will be fine. She only has a problem with you, when you don't do the work and you ask for extra time without a valid reason. She's actually nice.

I had the pleasure of Dr. Gardiner being my Educ 1300 professor. When I first met her I didn't think I'd like her but as time passed I grew to respect and admire her more. I am grateful for how hard she pushed me and didn't let me skate by in her class. If you can do the work and show up ON TIME for class you can pass this class with no problems.

Dr. Gardiner should be praised more, her class is an easy A! Just keep up with your assignments and you WILL pass! She gives lots of extra credit to those who participate and do the assignments. This professor does everything in her powers to assist her students. She is awesome and I wish other professors would take a page out of her book. The students who rated her poorly are the ones who were lazy and needed a given grade. Students need to work for grades. Dr. Gardiner is a God sent professor to this institution. She tells you the truth.

This course is literally not hard at all if you just do the work and pay attention to the assignment updates. It's a hybrid course, so you have to be self sufficient. If you're not capable, you won't succeed-which she explains at the beginning of the semester. There aren't 4-6 assignments due the next day either. It's very passable.

Not a bad teacher. I took her for the summer in a hybrid class. There were assignments due every Sunday over 2-3 units. She gave tons of pop quizzes though. It was kind of irrational at some points since we hadn't covered the topics, but they were easy to pass with some common sense. There was a midterm, a final, and a group presentation as well.

Dr. Gardiner is an awesome professor who goes above and beyond. She tells you the truth and is very firm. She works with her students especially in the pandemic. The Administration at HCC should look at her teaching style and let other professors take a leaf from her book. I had other classes and the teachers were not helpful in the online class.

Each experienced professor has a unique and valuable way of teaching. I feel the amount of homework is not too much, nor too difficult if I start to do them early. I would recommend her! She is strict but is very fun class. If you liked working in groups you will love her class. Her work is pretty easy make sure you stay on top of your work. I have read the previous feedback the persons who wrote the negative comments clearly were the students that were rude and disrespectful. This teacher returned work within 2-3 days. I have other teachers who took 6 weeks before giving back grades. This professor is awesome and cares deeply for her students. I highly recommends her to any student.

This professor went above and beyond for all her students. She gave extra credit although we did not knw this but, we were able to use the grades. I wish my other teachers did this to help us pass. If you are reading this please take her class. She is a gem despite the ugly comments.

I took this class during the pandemic in Fall 2021 and I was very scared. However, Dr. Gardiner went above and beyond to assist us and ensure we were successful. I want to ask HCC to recognize her because I do not know any other professors like her. My other professors were horrible in my Math & English classes.

The class is straightforward, do your work on time and you should pass. Respect her and she will respect you. Class was pretty easy as long as you read the textbook, but the textbook can be mentally draining. Assignments were relatively easy, and many of them were based on your experiences, so it is subjective. Overall good experience.

I wish I could have Dr. Gardiner for every class. She does talk a lot but why would you want a teacher that doesn't? Class is clear and straight to the point. All info is given and if you fail this class it's only because you didn't do the work. The answers are basically given to you. No outrageous assignments that take hours and hours to complete.

Dr. Gardiner set out clear guidelines at the beginning of the semester. At the beginning you have to read about 1 chapter per week from the textbook, but halfway through the semester, that stopped and she gave us weeks to work on easy assignments. We only met about once per week instead of twice. All tests were on canvas. Lots of extra credit.

Dr. Gardiner was honestly the best teacher I had in fall of 2021. Like many others have said, this is not necessarily the easiest class. Lots of assignments and more than just a easy elective. Dr. Gardiner is very strict on her rules. Just follow them and do the work and you will be alright. Make sure that you read the instructions and view the examples to get a good grade. She might appear or sound stern, trust me I thought that before the lecture started, but once you get to know her and take lectures seriously, and do the assignments, you'll love her! If she pops up for a different course, I will MOST DEFINITELY take her class.
