She's incredibly beautiful and probably the sweetest professor on campus. Flawlessly integrates multimedia into her lectures and engenders good discussion, debates, and interesting activities.

I enjoyed that this semester (PSY 320) we had no tests and lots of discussions.

Her class was very entertaining but a little much at 8 am. I feel like her discussions in class were broad and her test questions are more specific...ps-her grading system is harder than most..a B- is a C+ in her class.

Taking this class at 8 in the morning was just about the worst thing ever! She's SOOOOO peppy, and there is lots of group work where you actually have to be there mentally. At 8 in the morning!

Child Psych with Dr. Nguyen was a really enlightening course, and even though I had a hard time getting up for it (8 AM class), she made it a class that I looked forward to going to. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and this class!

Very intelligent, she had a class of 100 students names memorized by the second week. She is very helpful and definately checks up on students individually to make sure they are getting it. The only bad thing is she forces the class to do a lot of group work which I personally do not care for, but overall an above average instructor,good instructor

Awesome class, I really enjoyed taking this class. Make sure you go class because she will take roll and it does help at the end of semester as extra credit. The tests are not that bad just make sure you study and you will be fine.

This class is GREAT! No notes, exams, or papers! Its a learning styled course! Dr. Nguyen is SO NICE and so understanding! She really likes for her students to have discussion on the material being taught. She does have an attendance policy, but its helps in the long run. This class is an easy A or B.

If there is one class that everyone should take at UNCW, it should be this one. Dr. N is beautiful, intelligent, fascinating, and a superb teacher. I wouldn't be exaggerating to say she is a living saint.

Great teacher to have. Only attendence policy is extra credit when she takes the roll. There are a few quizzes on readings but are easy if you read. The tests aren't terribly hard you just need to study the study guides. You don't really need to read the book, just for quizzes and couple parts of the exams. Def recommend her.

She is the funniest, cutest, most interesting thing I've ever seen. lol She loves her students; she makes that obvious. The class is an EASY A if you just study and show up for class. Attendance isn't required, but she offers several opportunities for extra credit. If you get anything but an A in this class, you have no one to blame but yourself.

GREAT PROF! Made this class easy to go to! Attendance policy is extra credit. She explains everything in lamens terms and pretty much tells you everything that will be on the tests. Announces quizzes and assignments on the syllabus so you don't miss them, but most of all she is caring and energetic. What every professor should be!

Best teacher ive ever had, she trys her best to make everyting/clear as easy as possible,tests are easy if you go to class, book not required but sometimes helpful, takes attendence for extra credit, just go to class and pay attention and you'll get at least an B+

Easy, fun teacher. 3 tests, no final. take notes and listen and you will pass with an A. extra credit for 80% attendance on days when she takes it. TAKE IT. I only used the book to study when she gave us the study guide.

Great teacher,she is really enthusiastic and she really knows what she is talking about. If you pay attention in class and go every day then you don't need the book. No quizes, no homework, no papers, no final just 3 tests that are all multiple choice.

DR. Nguyen is a wonderful teacher. I have taken both of her psych classes and while they r different in teaching style, she is still willing to help. The 320 is more hands on but I would suggest to take her classes. She is a wonderful teacher and wish there were more classes I could take with her.

She doesnt take attendance but notices who is/isnt there and knows everyone by name. Focus lectures on what is important. I would recommend sharing textbook with friend as it's a needed resource but not mandatory to read! Take her!

Yeah shes really nice. but more than half the stuff on the test she did not teach about. when you get the study guide.. half of it is only in the book and was not talked about. it is a lot of work. i thought this would be an easier class by all these good reviews. but its a lot of work. dont be fooled. take life span devel. with dark-freudman.

The person below me is one of those lazy people I can assure you. It was not a lot of work, are you kidding me. Yes, at the end of the section we got study guids with certain things to look at in the book. Welcome to the real world. At least your teacher tells you EXACTLY what to study.

She is a very happy and enthusiastic person! At times it can be very overwhelming. I would not recommend her early in the morning or late afternoon. The study guides cover exactly what is on the test. So take notes and do the study guides and you should at least earn a B. She is also easy on the eyes, which can help you pay attention.

Really amazing teacher! Always friendly and cheerful! Study guides tell exactly what is on the test. If you attend class and fill out the study guide and are interested in the subject you can make an A no doubt. I've also had her for child psych and she was awesome.

Dr. Nguyen is awesome! Class is more participation-oriented than your usual lecture and the way she presents the material keeps you interested. She is very helpful and approachable. The tests were slightly difficult at first, but if you review the book as well and go to the review sessions she gives, you'll do fine.

Very enthusiastic professor. She is very personable and knows her information well. She is passionate and it shows. Paying attention in class really helps with exams. 3 Exams, a student info sheet, and take home messages make up your final grade. No final exam. I would definitely recommend her. Child Psych is an excellent class with her.

I highly recommend her. She loves what she teaches and you can hear it in her voice. Her classes are actually fun and she cares about things like getting to know every students name and congratulating you when you make a good test grade. The test are hard but just require a little extra studying. Everyone should take at least one of her classes!

Professor Nguyen is enthusiastic about Child Psych but her tests were pretty hard. She's also a big fan of group work and talking to her students like they're children, which comes with the territory I guess. Overall a good teacher but not for everyone.

Dr. Nguyen is very helpful. Her online class is very straight forward and there is no confusion at all! If you read the textbook and take notes you'll be fine.

Do yourself a favor and take every class you can with her even if you don't need it. In a room full over 130 people you feel connected. Her voice is calming, but engaging, and her lectures are a wonderful balance of current research, and student participation. You leave her class feeling relaxed, but inspired to take on the day. It's therapeutic.

Everything comes from the textbook, including weekly end of chapter questions. Very easy, just wish she would post lectures. Test have study guides, and provides extra credit.

I loved this class and Dr. Nguyen! She is so sweet and gets so excited when students do well on assignments. We had 3 exams and 5 discussion boards with a few EC opportunities. The discussion boards require a good amount of thought. The textbook is long so give yourself enough time to read the material each week. Requires effort but worth it!

Hands down the BEST professor at UCNW. She truly cares about her students and wants her students to do their best. She gives amazing feedback and answer any questions within minutes by emails. If you put in the work you will get an A. She is a ray of sunshine!

Loved this class! Work load was easy, took as a summer course so it was only over 4 weeks, 2 discussion boards and 3 tests. Notes were well written and included the needed information. Textbook is used and beneficial but not really needed. Gave super nice and encouraging feedback

Professor Nguyen is a must take at UNCW. She is so motivating, and very clear on what she expects. She radiates pure positivity, and made learning the subject easy and fun. The course had a decent amount of reading, but nothing impossible.

Dr. Nguyen is one of the kindest, most passionate professors I've ever had. Her course is structured in a way where it is almost impossible to fail if you are consistent with required work.
