Dr. Mak made what could've been a difficult topic very understandable and enjoyable. There are plenty of quizzes and HW to help support your understanding of the material. She did a flawless job converting the class online during the pandemic and was very accessible for questions. If you study and do the work, you can pass!

Dr. Mak is a great professor! You can tell that she is passionate in her field and truly cares about her students learning experience. Lectures are great and relevant. You have plenty of time to complete homework assignments and she offers lots of extra credit opportunities. If I could choose her for another class, I definitely would. Good luck!

Best teacher ever! Despite the coronavirus situation, I have felt I was in class with her even though it was an online class. Her lectures videos were awesome, she explained everything very clearly. She also offers extra credit assignments, so get advantage of it. Exams are in a different browser where you can not search for answers :)

Dr. Mak is tough but she really want you to succeed. Make sure you read her slides before her class so you are not lost but she really makes sure you understand the martial. Also she gives you extra credit assignments to give your grade a push. She is the best!!!

She cares a lot about her students and makes A&P 1 and 2 interesting and "easy". It is a difficult class but with her lectures videos online, she makes it very understandable. There are pre labs, labs, quizzes of every chapter, exams, lab practicals, and homework. Extra credit is given. Be constant! A good grade is not going to be given to you.

Overall, as hard as Biology is for me, I've had the best experience with Professor Mak and I wish I had her for BIOL 1407. She's super nice and is the most generous professor I've had. The class is homework heavy, but if you study and put in the effort, you'll be fine. Studying is a major requirement for this class.

Professor Mak is easy one of the seat Professors I have ever had. She responds promptly to emails and texts with the most caring and helpful insights Ive ever gotten from a professor. There are multiple extra credit opportunities, but the tests themselves are not too difficult. The exams can be a challenge, but study hard and youre golden.

A&P is a really hard subject, but Dr. Mak does a great job of explaining it so it's less overwhelming. This class was online because of COVID, and Dr. Mak really went the extra mile to make sure we were still able to learn. She gives great advice to teach you how to study and remember things

Dr. Mak is very passionate about biology and her attitude towards it is infectious. I was not a fan of Biology but taking it with Dr. Mak made it extremely fun. Her lectures are specific and thorough. Her powerpoints have everything you will need for the exams. I took Bio 1406 & Bio 2401 with her as well and Id take more classes if I was able to.

Dr. Mak made the class easy to understand with her amazing lectures . She was patient and caring with me whenever I had a problem with my computer. The labs are cool and I got to meet new friends with the group projects. She is a sweet and awesome teacher ! I highly recommend you take her class!!

Took this class as a hybrid, though labs weren't mandatory (because of covid). I personally went to the labs and felt they were quite helpful. Practicals can be difficult but Dr. Mak lets you know what kind of resources you have in order to help you study. You can also easily contact Dr. Mak through the Remind app!

I dreaded taking this class again but I thought Dr. Mak was awesome. Her syllabus was straight forward, do the work, quizzes/tests/exams were good (as long as youre reading the lecture slides), and she gave a lot of bonus credit to help us out. During this pandemic, she was very caring and was accessible outside class (Remind app was great!)

Prof Mak is THE BEST prof to take a&p. I took her summer 1 class-was supos. to be hybrid but switched to in person. Imo a&p isn't an easy class but she made it digestible. Her lectures are amazing and so is she. She offers extra credit assignments throughout and drops a quiz, some labs, a hw & assignment. I wish I could take her for a&p 2 :(

Dr Mak is an amazing professor. She makes the hard stuff easy to understand by explaining it like a story and drawing pictures. She also gives opportunity for extra credit. I took it in the summer, so it was a lot to cover in 20 days, but make sure to read the notes before the lecture and it will all make sense when she explains it in class.

She is the best so far in this field especially for a tough course such as Anatomy 1 and 2. As long as your work ethic is higher than average, if should be an A for you. I 100% recommend Dr. Mak because I barely got A in my very first attemp for A&P 1.

Professor Mak was willing to respond to emails outside of class extremely quickly. Be prepared to go over the material more than once, there is a TON of information in the class. Her powerpoints, which she provides, are crucial for success in the class. Take good notes, be prepared for lots of study and youll do well. You cant coast through.

Despite taking Biol 1406 as an online summer class, Dr. Mak made learning fun and easy to me. I loved the extra credit; it helped me get to that A. Whenever I had issues or a question, shed always do her best to help me out. Truly a wonderful and smart teacher.

Professor Mak takes extremely complicated material and makes it palatable. If you skip class and dont watch her lecture videos to make up for it, you wont pass . This is a tough class that will challenge you. It is important to read, recall, and understand the material. The professor is great! The reading material is broken down very well during lecture and the professor does a great job of answering questions. The professor is kind, caring, and produces a positive atmosphere in class.

Great professor. This was a 5 week winter course and was online. While I had work to do every day and lectures to watch 1-2 hours daily the teacher does a great job with her lectures. Very fair and clear on what her test are about. Would take her again if I could.

Dr. Mak is very kind and an amazing professor. Anatomy and physiology is a difficult subject, but she breaks it down to make it easy to understand as best as possible. You still have to put in the work and study, but she clearly guides you on what exactly you need to do.

Professor Mak is very knowledgeable about the A&P. She organized each chapter very well that it is easy follow through on the material. I really wish I had Dr. Mak for AP1. Even with her online classes and her lectures, you can feel her passion for what she does. She makes great analogies and draws to help you learn. I took this course online as an 8 Week program. She doesn't use a textbook, instead she uses PowerPoints and videos over her PowerPoints. The videos can range between 1 hour to 3.5 hours per chapter, There Is a lot! A&P is HARD. But she makes it as understandable as possible. There are lab quizzes, chapter quizzes, homework, lab practicals/exams.

I took both BIO 2401 and 2402 because she is just that great. A&P is hard, and there is a ton to remember. But she makes it easily digestible with her PowerPoints and videos. 4 exams (Multiple choice and open ended questions.) 3 lab practicals (All fill in the blank), prelab quizzes, chapter quizzes, and exercises. Seems like a lot,but not too bad

Dr. Mak is one of the best professors at DC. She is a wonderful lecturer and really cares about the success of her students. Great online class setup, gives ample opportunity for you to do well, drops lowest grades in many areas, and provides several extra credit assignments. I wish I needed to take more classes with her! The lectures are long, and you're grade is largely Lecture exams & lab exams. She does give extra credit, so take advantage! Her tests are closely based on her power point slides and if you do all the work on time you will be fine. This is a difficult class so studying is imperative. She's super helpful & caring! Dr. Mak is hands down the best at explaining all the mechanisms that come with APII! There's lots of reading and lectures are long and tough but she is extremely helpful. As long as you study and put the effort in you'll do great in class. She does offer lots of extra credit throughout the semester. If I had to take another class with her I would!

I enjoyed taking both A&P I and A&PII with Dr. Mak as 8-week courses. She is so caring, nice, and quick to respond to any questions. Dr.Mak is amazing! Anatomy is not an easy course by any means but she makes it fun! The lab test are very straight forward and you have to keep on top of assignments just like any other class & study for the grade you want. She is definitely worth taking!

This is my second time taking professor Mak for biology class. She always cares about students and provides extra credit before the test and on the test. All you need is to learn the Powerpoint that has been minimized by the professor, and you are good to get an A+.

Attendance for RCHS students is mandatory, and taking A&P 2 with 8 other courses was not easy but she made it very easy to navigate by posting her lectures online, and being extremely understanding. There would be times when the class was overwhelmed or underprepared and she would postpone tests to allow us with extra time to study. VERY GOOD PROF!

MAK!!!! she makes it so fun and understanding she uses videos and pictures and she guides provides advice and gives extra credit of course this class will be hard if you don't study but with her notes and videos you should understand if not shoot her an email and with her patience she will help you!

She gives partial credit which is the best. Her lecture power points are very informative. Everything on the test comes from the lecture power point so make sure you spend time to study.

Dr. Mak is a legend on campus. She doesn't test you on things that are irrelevant and will tell you exactly how to study for her exams (very useful). you will put in sometime preparing for her exams but it's very doable to finish with an A in her class. This class is by far the most organized and well-thought-out online course I've had. Lectures, powerpoints, and reviews are available and easy to access. Dr. Mak is easy to contact if you have any questions. But, this is an intensive class, especially if you take the 8-week course. It is a Monday-Thursday routine with a few hours each day.

I like how she set up the class where she was very detailed while still knowing how a summer course Needs to be concise. I enjoyed the material although it was a lot per week I knew what to study for because the professor directed the lecture well. I also like that she provided a lot of quizzes, extra credit, and homework.

I took Dr. Mak for online Biology 2402 and she is an amazing professor. I love her lectures and I was always ready to learn from her amazing lecture videos! If I could I would take her again because she pushes you to actually learn material instead of just memorizing it. A&P 2 is hard but she will make it easy to understand, I recommend taking her!

Prof Mak is awesome!! She really cares about her students and wants to see everyone succeed. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities which really helped me a lot in the end. Her lecture/lab videos tend to be long and it takes a lot of your time so you really need to study, it helps a lot! She is also very clear at explaining all the concepts!

Great professor. I took a hybrid class so exams and quizzes were all online. Open note and her lectures are very detailed and help so much with exams. She also texts back quick. She dropped a couple low grades. Only thing I disliked was the short time limit for exams and quizzes it would make me anxious watching the clock. 1 hr for 50 question exam

Dr. Mak is a wealth of knowledge about ANP. She is caring and always ready to help when we have any questions. Be sure to go over every video and be detailed so you can do well in your exams/ quizzes/ lab practicals. She is the kindest professor I have ever taken at Richland College. I would like to take her class again but no more ANP :(

For Hybrid course, lectures are online and professor Mak provides objective questions that helps review for exams/quizzes. For lab, it is optional to attend since labs videos are online. Getting in contact with her is easy, she also provides alot of bonus assignments. The only downside is alot of lecture material so time manage with studying.

BIOL 2402 is the third class I have taken with Dr. Mak and I would take them all with her if I could. She is very thorough with her teaching and does everything she can to make sure her students succeed. Dr. Mak uses her PowerPoint slides for both lab and lecture and gives great tips for how to study for her exams. She's the best! 110% recommend.

Professor Mak taught one of the best Biology courses I've ever taken. She is very generous with extra credit, whether that was in class or outside of class. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but if you want to maximize extra credit opportunities I would go. The course was hard, but that was expected, she does all she can to make sure you succeed.

Sin Man Mak is one of the best professor I had!! Biol 2402 became interesting because of her. Bonus assignment to push your grades up! Lecture exam was tough for me but other than that will recommend everyone to take her for ANP course.

Dr. Mak is an amazing professor! She cares a lot about her students and their grades (she gives a lot of extra credit assignments). The topics are hard and you have to memorize several topics, but Dr. Mak makes it easier. If you get the chance to take Anatomy with her, do it!

BIOL 1406 is a hard class especially taken in a 4 week timeframe but Dr Mak was very caring and accommodating. I messed up due dates twice and she worked with me. She also gives lots of extra credit to make up for the touch content which I appreciated! I got an A which was more than I expected. I also liked that she took time to provide feedback.

Dr. Mak is an amazing professor! Although the 4-week class was fast paced, it wasn't difficult to keep up with since there were many resources to help succeed in the class. TAKE HER!! There is a lot of material but that it going to be the same with any professor at any school. She is incredibly kind, gives clear instructions, lectures can be long but she makes connections with non-bio things so you stay engaged. Practicals and tests are from slides/notes. I took her A&P2, and while it's a tough subject, she made it so much easier. Attendance isn't mandatory. She has all her lecture and lab videos and it's super helpful and clear. This professor was extremely helpful and understands that college kids have a busy schedule. She was easy to communicate with about due dates and any questions regarding the course work. She also answered me very fast on test days when I had technical difficulties and made the situation way less stressful. She is amazing!

I heavily advised you to take her anatomy class. She's the most sweetest easiest professor you can ever have she gives you a lot of extra credit. The only thing that's like kinda hard is the lab practical because they are everything has to be written other than that if you learn the courses, it easy and she gives you like two tries on the quizzes.

Had a lot of work cause it was a short term class. Lectures and PowerPoints were very informative. Professor was very adamant on studying and gave us the material we needed to study. The Winter 4-Week Semester has daily assignments cramming three months of material into one. Dr. Mak makes everything clear and manageable with her well-organized course and detailed chapter videos. I spent 3–4 hours daily on the course—not because it was overly difficult, but because of the condensed format. Bonus assignments are worth doing.

Dr. Mak is an amazing professor! She clearly cares for her students and wants you to learn. When you are taking her class, make sure you watch her videos, study and go back again. Dr Mac is AMAZINGGG i love her way of teaching ESPECIALLY how she doesnt make us read out the textbook and the powerpoints help so much and the learning objective after the chapters is so good for testing yourself what you really learned after the chapter . i enjoy learning in her class and she offers a lot of extra credit assignments and shes fun

Professor Mak is so nice and she knows how to teach. She is so helpful when you don't understand a subject and she doesn't give up on her students. She really cares that we pass and she provides extra credit. Her exams are based on the lecture slides/videos but if you go over them and study, you will pass!

I was nervous taking an 8 week for A&P class but happy I ended up with such a great professor. Her class is very organized! Learning all the material in 8 weeks is a lot but manageable if you put in the time. I feel like she has prepared me well for nursing entrance exam. Definitely taking her class for 2402, but hopefully the 16 week course :)

She is one of my favorite professor. She goes in detail and tells you everything. She is also flexible regarding due dates . I wish I could take her in summer class but unfortunately seat is full. I just love her. Take her class you won't regret it.

She is very thorough in her lectures, sends out weekly reminder of upcoming due dates as well as tips for what to do to aid in getting a good grade in her class. The workload is a good amount but it makes sense for it being such a dense topic of study. If you are on top of the work, you will do great!

Absolutely loved this class and Professor Mak! I wish she taught all of my classes for my degree plan! She really explains difficult concepts so well in her videos. She's honestly amazing—I wouldn't want anyone else as my anatomy teacher. Even though the class was online, she taught incredibly well and clearly knew her stuff. She was easy to communicate with and always respectful about personal circumstances. If I had the chance, I'd definitely take her class again!

Dr. Mak's block-method" and study strategies helped me get an A+ in her class. She gives you everything you need to do amazing, you just have to put in the work (I average about 6-9 hrs a week). Any student would benefit tremendously from her instruction; she does an amazing job at explaining topics through analogies and real world applications.

I learned SO much from Dr. Mak's class. Her exams will challenge you however she offers lots of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester that can really help your grade. The last exam is far easier and she includes generous amounts of EC at the end. She gives great advice on how to study. It's obvious how much she cares about her students

Dr. Mak is a great professor. I took her BIOL-1406 for Maymester. All her exams required lockdown browser + webcam. You have to study the material and diagrams to pass this class. You get what you put in. Dr. Mak is very helpful, communicative, and will work with you to improve your grade. She offers PLENTY of Bonus assignments. I would recommend.

Great professor, honestly wish I had her for my other bio courses.The grade you get is fully dependent on the amount of effort you put in. A & P is not an easy class so don't expect for the content to be easy, but Dr. Mak is extremely knowledgeable and her lectures will have everything you need to know for the exams and in any field you're going into. She's even helpful with fun mnemonics and additional videos and drawings. Gives extra credit as well and makes the subject enjoyable!

Had her for A&P 1, 8 week course and got an A and learned a lot. It was a lot of info in a small amount of time but she makes it interesting. I took her again just now for A&P 2, 8 wk and it is a lot more difficult concept wise but she provides weekly reminders of what is due, help via teams if needed and provides a good amount of extra credit!

Trust the reviews! Do whatever you can to get into this class. Dr. Mak is an expert in her field, but she is also great at explaining info in a way that students can understand. Class is extremely well organized. Grading and tests are very fair. If you follow her advice and study the lectures, you can do well. One of the best professors I've had.

Everyone knows Anatomy and Physiology is a very heavy course, but with Dr. Sin Mak, she breaks it down so well and easy. Her hard work and encouragement throughout this class is Excellent. However her class consist of so many other things that help you boost your grade if you aren't the best test taker. She provides extra credit & is extremely organized. After a tough experience in first stage of BIO101 at the university, and hearing so many warnings about anatomy, I was very nervous. Dr Sin Man Mak made BIO2401 clear, approachable, and far easier than I expected. It became my best and favorite class. I'm proud of how much I learned and will definitely take Anatomy II with her. Professor Mack is amazing!! Anatomy is a hard subject, but she gives a lot of bonus points where you can get an A, even if you are bad at science. Dr. S. Mak is an amazing professor. She is knowledgeable, engaging, and very supportive. I took BIOL 2402, which was an 8 week online class. It was extremely fast-paced with frequent exams, so I would recommend that to take the 16 week class instead.

I nearly failed the class but that honestly had nothing to do with the professor she was incredible. Her lectures were extremely long but so educational and useful for the exams. She basically gives you the answers to her exams through her powerpoints and objectives. Her lab practicals are tough but not impossible.
