Would not suggest!!! She explains nothing and just reads the slides. She contradicts herself constantly. VERY BAD TEACHER!!!
Do NOT take her. She reads out of the workbook and does not explain labs at all. She is very hard to understand and isn't helpful to students.
She usually isn't clear on what the lab is so when she tries to explain it to her students she just confuses them more. You have to teach yourself the material for the midterm and final and know everything because she is likely to throw anything on there. If you have another option take it but if you have to take her an A is possible if you work.
She is very confusing and it seems as though she doesn't look at the material before class. She is hard to understand at times and the due dates for assignments are never posted on moodle (not even in the syllabus). However, making an A is very possible because she gives tons of points and if you miss a question she often still counts it as correct
Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE HER. She is awful, awful, awful. You will literally learn nothing. Her accent is pretty bad but the worst part is she is always so confused. I taught myself the entire time and spent class time watching Netflix. She does offer extra credit. She is educated but she lacks ability to teach.
She's a really great teacher and she knows what she's talking about although she's not always great at communicating it. If you study the slides she goes over in class, you'll finish with an A. Her tests are extremely easy.
She knows her material but is very hard to understand. Went to class but never listened. Taught myself the entire course with youtube videos and notes i found online. Powerpoint slides are pretty lengthy. I would not recommend if it is hard for you to teach yourself the material.
Very hard to understand, not only because of her accent but she also seems very confused herself. very long power points from which she reads the entire lecture. Watch you tube videos posted on moodle to help understand the material.
Strongly regret taking her class. She reads straight from the slide and doesnt give you any time to take notes. She explains the material as if its easy and you already know it. I would have probably done better in the class if Id just skipped class every day and taught myself from the book.
Do not take her !!! You will go to class and not learn a thing nor will you understand anything she says. She doesn't teach she reads from the slides and that's it. Very confusing because she has an accent and nothing makes much sense when she is trying to explain a topics all she says is "right" or "makes sense" when no it's not right and doesn't.
DO NOT TAKE unless you can teach yourself. You will barely understand her because of her accent. She also asked students for clarification as if you know whats going on. Read ahead of time before class and after class to get a full understanding.
overall good/easy teacher. even though she mispronounces some words, you can overall understand her. she gives you the power points, and tells you what is and isn't going to be on the exams. she gives a lot of extra credit. you will past if you study the power points.
Cant understand and will mark right answers wrong if she thinks you guessed
She is hard to follow expects you to be an expert.
Very confusing, sometimes she seems to questions herself, hard to understand, and just read from a power-point all class long
Very awful professor. Basically a self taught class. She doesnt give any homework assignments or quizzes. Its just tests which cover about four chapters worth. She gives extra credit but potinless. Would not recommend her to anyone.
she would give these lab reports to write but didnt explain how to write them. speeds through the lecture and doesnt bother helping with the lab itself. she tells you that you ruined the experiment when you mess up. dont take her. just dont.
Very nice woman. Shes very overall a very hard teacher all she does is talk and gets off topic. Test are hard! If taking her get ready to learn on your own.
She is very hard to understand. I hated coming to class for the first half of the semester because I couldn't understand what she was talking about. But it is just basic biology, so looking at the powerpoints will allow you to make an A on exams. Would be a very hard class to pass if you aren't good at biology or cannot self-teach. But she is nice
She can be hard to understand most of the time and if you attend Lab you can pass easily.
She had given us our first syllabus only to change it half way through the semester and ruin peoples grades. Also you have to go to class or you wont understand anything. She always ask if it makes sense when it really doesnt. If I could giver her 0 stars then I would.
Dr. Aggarwals Biology Lab exams are pretty challenging and require a lot of studying, but she gives lots of extra credit and is very accommodating. She is so sweet and very willing to help with any issue regarding grades. After taking this class, Im surprised that there are so many negative comments!
If you take this class be ready to work for it. This was the hardest class I had on my schedule and I am a nursing major. I managed to get a A in the class but I worked extremaly hard for it. Study her powerpoints word for word. Good Luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.
So understanding and willing to work with students! Absolutely loved her!
Very rude and not helpful at all. I would ask questions and she would say "i'm not answering that." Very difficult to understand from her accent and talks fast. She says "makes sense" after everything she says. If you say no she will not stop to explain and will continue with her lesson. Do not take her.
VERY unclear about what she wants most of the time. Hard to understand and doesn't even understand her own assignments most of the time.
she can be hard to understand at time because of her accent, but overall I found her class easy. You HAVE to study though. She gives a lot of bonus point opportunities. Make sure to check her class schedule on moodle bc she doesn't always say when stuff is do. She always post study guides for exam, if you study those u will pass the class easily.
She comes off as rude sometimes but she's really just someone who is really straight-forward. Even though it is hard to understand with her accent, she is clear on what you need to know for the mid-term and final. As long as you pay attention and highlight what she says to highlight, you should be fine. I finished with an A.
Very easy A if you follow her directions to lab reports and homework questions.
Her accent is very heavy. She does not like to answer questions. She takes forever to lecture and leaves only 30 min to do the lab and then rushes you and gets mad if the lab isnt done by the time the class is over. On top of her accent, she doenst make sense with anything she says. she said "right? makes sense?" after everything she says. GOOD LUC
She is very hard to understand and I just recommend anyone else but her. Not very accessible outside of the classroom.
she has a thick accent but it is understandable. she explains her experiments and checks everyone's lab manuals to make sure they are doing it right. her class is chill and easy to pass. she gives a study guide for mid term and final exam
Honestly, the reviews below are coming from people who dropped out the day before the deadline because they don't study at all. Yes she has an accent but u get to so used to it by the time test 1 comes, literally she gives you power points to study and most of the time they are word for word. These people just never study. HER TEST R EASY JUST TRY!
Her accent is just a little hard to understand; she struggles to explain some stuff sometimes. The class is kind of boring, but If you study the PowerPoints, you can get an A! study modules for extra credit. Lots of chances to keep a high grade
Very nice woman, her accent is hard to understand at first but u get so used to it, the class is based on powerpoint which is great because that's how u basically learn. Her tests are so much like the powerpoints! She gives extra credit so u have a lot of chances to boost up ur grade. I would say give her a chance and put some effort in studying!
She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and also will give you extra credit for going to class . Her test are very hard and are worded very differently.
She teaches off of powerpoints. However, these powerpoints usully go from 50 to over 100 slides. Very few powerpoints have less than 50. She has a thick accent which makes it hard to understand. Her tests aren't hard, but the hardest thing about them is the wording. The test are like broken english. She does offer a good amount of bouns.
Solid choice for 152, she gives extra credit in class and lets you go to her other class sections if you miss yours. Lab reports are your main grade and make sure you do it right bc she takes points off easily. Final/midterm is mainly fill in the blank, you have to memorize it. Not too bad, an easy A
very rude and condescending if you ask a question that she deems ridiculous to ask. told me and a classmate to get our act together because we didnt know how to focus a microscope properly and said this is biology you have to know how to use it
Her accent is very hard to understand and she does not explain the labs very well at all. Every time we do a lab everyone is confused on what they are supposed to do and if you ask a question she is quite rude with her response. Making students feel bad about asking questions is a huge problem. I wouldn't take her again because of this.
Her accent is really heavy and hard to understand. She makes students feel bad for asking questions. If you ask a question she is very rude and most of the time wont answer your question. Her test are very hard to understand because she words them the way she speaks.
She gives the impression of caring, but questions/confusion irritates her. Highly educated and COULD make the class enjoyable. Attendance gives you extra credit and you will need this when the exam rolls around. TRICKY anxiety-inducing exams. Labs are rushed. Uncomfortable class you will not look forward to. If you don't study hard, you will fail
Dr. Aggarwal is a pretty good professor. She offered random class attendance & participation as bonus points which was really helpful. The labs aren't that hard, but a couple quizzes had some random questions I didn't think to study for. I'm not a biology fan, but she made it interesting with the lab experiments.
She is not clear about anything. She does not communicate clear office hours. She's not clear about what she expects on the homeworks which are essay questions. She doesn't give any feedback on what you did wrong on the homework (literally tells you "yes" or "no"). Her homework grades are all or nothing so basically you either get a 100% or a 0%.
Dr. Aggarwal is super sweet and understanding and her accent is strong. If you miss class you get zero credit for whats missed. You have to purchase a $25 lab manual for the course. Labs are once a week and are very easy to follow. Few lab reports. The midterm wasn't difficult, just study and know a little of everything. Same goes for the final.
She is a nice person but gets annoyed when you ask questions. She has a thick Indian accent and misspells some words. Her quizzes are online which are decently easy. Her exams are easy if you study the study guide she gives you. I enjoyed her class and would take her again, you just have to put in a minimum amount of work.
At times very difficult to understand. Lab quizzes once a week not available on Quizlet and not all answers found on slideshows/lab manual. Two lab reports and didn't really explain well. Mid-term and Final are both 40 questions all fill in the blank and no word bank. Does give you a study guide but you have to do it entirely by yourself.
Horrible professor for lab. There was a power outage and she still tried to hold a virtual class and gave me 5 zeroes for that day. Trees and power lines were down blocking my neighborhood. Besides that she was a tough grader. If its not the answer she was looking for, but still right she would still give a zero. Would not take again.
Personally, I do not recommend this professor. I was really trying to avoid taking Dr. Sita because Ive heard bad things about her from previous students. She does not teach! She just sits in front of the class and read from PowerPoints. It is so boring and very hard to follow. Because of the speed she goes, you cant take notes. Dont recommend.
This professor is not a good one. She does not teach and she only reads from powerpoints in a heavy accent. The only grades in the class are quizzes and tests.
This professor is horrible. 0/10 would recommend. She has a very thick accent that is difficult to understand. You have chapter quizzes and 4 tests. quizzes really dont help at all. Tests are based on powerpoints that are at least 50 slides each most closer to 100. She gets very irritated easily by questions and says that she can not help you.
not understanding at all. boring. hard to understand.
She gives no study guides, and often times most fail her exams and tests! She does not offer extra credit and will drop you a letter grade if you inquire about it! She stated that she does not read e-mails! And she has no care for people who have genuine excused from class whether it be a hurricane or being extremely sickly!
She gives no study guides and the notes she assigns are at most 100 pages at least 50, and often times most students fail her exams and tests! She does not and will not offer extra credit and will also drop you a letter grade if you inquire about it! She stated that she does not read e-mails!
If learning from strictly reading PowerPoint slides isn't your thing... DON'T CHOOSE HER AS YOUR TEACHER
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!! All she does is lecture, any time you ask a question she does not answer clearly. Her grades consist of exams and quizzes. She offers no extra credit or extra help. Her quizzes and exams have nothing to do with the power points or the book, so hard.
The worst professor I've ever had. Everyone in my class is failing, so that's how you know it's not just me. Gives four tests that are weirdly worded and will confuse you and gives a bunch of quizzes. Don't ask her for extra credit because she will drop you a letter grade. Don't ask me how she's going to drop people a letter grade with F's though.
If you learn by 50-100 slide powerpoints, this is the professor for you. If not, dont even bother trying. Class is so boring, she speaks very monotone. Most students in my class were failing most exams. Its very hard to understand her.
She is okay. She does have a very thick accent so it is hard to understand her. If you study the slideshows and memorize everything, you should do fine on her exams. She does get kind of frustrated/annoyed if you ask her a question or answer a question wrong in class. I personally do not recommend her, but she's not that bad.
Dr. Aggarwall was not my favorite professor to say the least. She could put people with Insomnia to sleep(lol). I taught myself most of the material through reading the textbook. She does give bonus for full attendance, and through a bonus quiz though. Sit in the back and don't ask questions, let's just say you'll learn why real quick. Meh.
Aggarwal is what you'd imagine a typical college lecture is like. I suggest sitting in the front and note things she emphasizes. Her PowerPoints have everything you need to know: study those & you're set! Gives extra credit for attendance and is very understanding. I really enjoyed her and she's prob the best option for this course. attend+study A
Sita has many bad reviews and i agreed with some of them. She is difficult to understand and the class is basically graded by 4 tests. But, if you really take the time to study the powerpoints, you will do well on the test. and she did give us bonus at the end of the semester for full attendance which brought me up a whole letter grade.
She wasn't my first choice, but she wasn't the worst professor I've ever had. She is sometimes hard to understand, but I know that isn't her fault and you start to get used to it a couple lectures in. Definitly attend every class for pop bonus quizzes and attendance bonus. Just make sure to study the slides and study guides and you'll do good!
Her thick accent makes her hard to understand and she doesn't seem to really know the material she's teaching. She also throws a fit if you try to leave class early even though we're all adults capable of managing our own time. The only reason I would take her again is bc she gives bonus on every quiz.
She is the worst teacher I have ever taken in my entire life. I am taking her rn for ChemL 124. She is extremely rude. She tells us to ask her questions, but when we do she tells us to go read the lab and rubric. I suppose she doesn't grade hard, but she is just down right disrespectful. Makes snarky comments. Doesn't want to even be the teacher.
Never taking this professor again. Very lecture heavy, you go through about an entire PowerPoint in a class period, so don't skip class. Yes, professor gives opportunities for easy points & bonus, but she can be frustrating. She has refused to further explain content to students, and tells you to just look at your notes even when they're confusing.
She just talks and says makes sense all the time. You go into the lab not knowing what you are doing and you have to figure it out yourself. She does not prepare you for the experiments and you have to figure out all the calculations and lab reports on your own
"If you don't understand BioChem in my class you should give up on grad school" one of the MANY passive aggressice comments made this year. Makes you feel DUMB asking questions and when you ask to meet outside of class, she says she's available but not really! HUGE exam content especially #2. Pop Quiz every few classes.
Absolutely Horrendous Professor, Little to no help at all with the work that goes on during the lab, She will NOT give clarification with anything during the labs for you, she'll tell you to read what's in the Course workbook and apply it yourself and any questions you ask she'll respond with " It's in your workbook", "did you read anything?".
I used a spiral notebook instead of a composition note book for my first lab and she gave me a zero. She got angry at me for asking questions in lab. She gave everyone a very tough time. Read the lab manual before every lab. Be prepared to go the full length of every lab too.
So, I will say Dr. Aggarwall has extremely poor planning and communication. Very little leeway is offered to students even with appropriate excuses. For example, there are NO exceptions to missing the midterm or final exam even with a doctor's note or other excuse. Also, she does not check her email so if you ever need to contact her good luck..
Professor Sita is a sweet lady but she is hard to understand, soft spoken, and has unclear instructions. She is very picky while grading. I have a B rn. You just have to read the lab manual and make sure to understand the topics.
I do not know how I personally found a worst chemistry teacher than my high school one. The students within my class had to correct her on many things she had taught us! She would go back on her words! She is a very sweet lady and will not let you fail, however I truly wanted to learn and her class became a joke to me. (Chemistry 101)
Humiliating made me feel very bad in front of the class, does not explain things clearly and is not helpful at all.
Dr Aggarwal is a good professor and caring. She is sometimes hard to understand but this is my second class with her and I am now able to easily understand her. Im in her biochem so its just hard material to begin with. She's always asking how she can do better to improve. You need to study to pass. Shes definitely not the worst professor Ive taken
Highly recommended. Tough however she is caring for her student. Genuine chemistry professor.
Honestly the worst professor I've ever had. Refuses to answer questions or explain course material. Impossible to understand. Rude. Rambles about meaningless things. Do not take her class if you care about your grade, education, or mental health. It is unclear if even she understands what she is "teaching". Take class at your own risk.
When I wake up, I realize I signed up for a biochemistry class with Sita Aggarwal at 9:30 am in the morning. I might as well come prepared to class with a full clown suit. Anyways, sign up for her class if you want to stare into outer space even though you're inside a building because I couldn't pay attention to her lectures no matter what.
Worse professor I've ever had to deal with. A/B student my entire life, worked hard in this class and did not get rewarded for it. Incredibly hard grader, horrible at explaining material, punishes you if you miss even if the absence is excused, and worse of all she is incredibly rude and straight up mean to students. Tries to belittle and embarrass
She does not understand how to teach chemistry. She is rude and will not answer questions. She does not know what is on her tests and often hasn't taught most of the information. She gives small quizzes online and they often have no correct answer. She does allow one cheat sheet per test. Do not take her if you can avoid it.
Worst professor I have ever taken. She allows a cheat sheet; however, that cheat sheet does nothing since she doesn't actually teach. She constantly told us she was "learning alongside us" which is a complete excuse for why she can't answer basic questions. We ask her to explain how she got an answer and her reply is "it's right there." Don't take
Ms. Aggarwal isa definitely not a teacher I would want to engage with again. She doesn't necessarily teach aside from reading from the powerpoint slides. I went to her office in hopes of learning electron configuration, but she was just as confused as I was. Not saying that she has to be Einstein at it, but its Chem 1...how unprepared can you be?
Ms. Sita Aggarwall is the epitome of a terrible teacher. Her lectures are a chaotic mess of zero clarity, and her rude, dismissive attitude makes asking questions feel like committing a crime. To top it off, her tests are a nightmare—completely unrelated to anything she teaches. If you're looking to learn chemistry, prepare to teach yourself.
I ended up skipping classes at the end of the semester because it was a complete waste of time, I dont know how she still has a job b
Worst teacher on southeasterns campus. Explains things terribly, expects you to come to her office hours if you don't understand something but only has 1 hour of office hours a week. Has info on tests that she didn't teach. Take anyone else
Dr. Aggarwall does not explain topics in a way that makes them easy to understand. There were many nights were I had to teach myself out of the textbook. When I would go to her office hours to ask questions, she was either never there or I left feeling more confused than when I walked in.
I'm only in the second week of taking this class. She doesn't know what she's teaching. The first week she taught us how to count to 10 and the difference between left and right. She would be a better elementary school teacher than a college professor. A student in my class left 15 minutes early and she made her mark herself absent.
Sita doesn't really teach, she just reads and when she is reading you can't hear her because she talks so quietly. She focuses on the right side of the room more than the left. She gets mad when you don't understand problems.
This was truly the worst professor I have had. She does not want you to succeed. If you miss 40% of classes she asks you to drop from her class, but she talks to you like you're in kindergarten and does not even know what she's teaching.
Very thick accent, which can be manageable but she does NOT know what she is teaching. The class is teaching her what to do. Do not look at her practice questions on the board because she does them WRONG. Most of our quizzes didn't even have the right answer as an answer choice... All quizzes are ONLINE. Tests are MULTIPLE CHOICE
Honestly the worst professor here, and i didn't think it could get worse than Clifford Fontenot. I was mistaken. The class teaches her then gets mad at us for teaching. Like girl, if you ain't gonna do it then who will. Never responds to emails, and when she does it's an AI response. I'm surprised I passed. I literally had to teach myself.
The absolute worst professor in the university. Does not teach but rather expects you to know everything about chemistry. Directions are unclear, she is incredibly hard to understand, and all of her examples are either wrong or made up. DO NOT TAKE.
If you take this class you will not get any higher than a C. This is another classic chemistry professor that has no clue how to teach and will continuously get out teached by the students. Thank god she provides a study guide for the exam or you would have no clue what to do. There is no reason for this woman to be employed at SLU.
Do not take her class if you have any choice.
worst professor at southeastern. the chemistry department is already bad, and she makes it 10x worse. i am going to take this class at community college over the summer because she is such a horrible professor. please do not take her. also if you have to pee, she will loud cap you for leaving and tell you to not go during her class.
Cannot make good study guides for her tests and is horrible at teaching the material.. She can barely teach chemistry, spends forever on simple topics, and threatens mandatory attendance but doesnt follow through. There is no reason for class to be necessary if she won't teach the subject manner goodly.
