I am bad in calculus but he's a good teacher. he goes slow and actually wants you to learn. He's from Albania so his English is not the best but he tries his best. Good teacher.

I think he is good. I got an A in his Class. If you do your homework and pay attention in his class and of course study it is likely that you will get a good grade. He likes it when you are trying.

He is a really good professor... he cares a lot about his students..and tries his best to make it clear for them... he's one of the best professors I've taken at Baruch...but you have to be willing to work because the class is not easy

Tests are hard, he cant speak english, but he is very helpful, will explain as much as u want, never gets angry at all, but he is boring sometimes, unfair grader, i got 85 test avg, got 60 on final gave me a C-.

He is the best math professor at Baruch. He is a little difficult but that's only because he wants to prepare you for the final; which is not drafted by him, but by the math dept. He cares for his students very much. Do yourself a favor and take his class.

Nice Albanian guy with a very strong accent! If you have trouble understanding english he is not right you . He is very calm, polite, extremely lenient, patient guy. He makes everything really simple his exams are easy and he gives extra credit during lecture . Do the homework and go to SACC you will surely pass

There is no way anyone who tries in his class would fail cos he looks at your progress as the semester goes by only lazy people failed his class he's lenient extremely helpful, take him and with hard work you would pass

Guys, take him: a very patient person, very good in math. His explainations are easy and clear. Do your home work, really do and you will succed.

He is a very hard prof., but he tries to explain everything. When I needed to ask him some Q for HW, I could call him at anytime. If you are looking for an easy class, this is not it. However, if you like math he will help you.

need to ask him for help during office hours... he goes over questions that are very similar in exam... hes approachable but not clear..study hard and you can get a A- or B+

One of the best professors at Baruch. He is understanding if you respect him. However he is not for lazy students.

The professor:1) expects a lot from his students,2) does NOT curve,3)has an accent (but, it's not a problem like some make it seem). Pro: If you take his class you'll be forced to learn a LOT (a positive if you care about your education). Con: If your are looking just to slide through, do NOT take his class. Bottom line: Take if you want to learn.

His in class exams were much harder than final, but when the time for final came we were all well prepared. I was a C- average but after final he curved my grade to B+. He's sarcastic but funny. Has an old school attitude, also makes sure you REALLY know the material - if you don't he looks at you like you're the dumbest thing alive.

The class is not easy at all and the professor makes it even harder. His explanations are not always clear, so you need to read the book after each class. You must do HW. The exams are pretty hard but the final is extremely easy. Most exam questions are from HW. Also, hes helpful if you ask him questions.

I had him over the summer; its actually harder b/c we have less time to cover the same amt of material. He does have an accent; hes tough. But I learned more from him than from any other prof Ive been with. If you pay attn, you WILL learn. Grade may not show it, but hes truly a great teacher. He's the best professor I have ever had. He is not as bad as people are saying. Of course the class is hard but if you practice and study you'll do fine. And he is extremely helpful outside the classroom. He is always available for consultation before class.

Calculus is not easy and at the beginning I had no clue about it but prof. Sina is extremely helpful. He is always available for consultations. If you need help, he is always willing to help you. Take him. If you practice, you'll be fine. I scored 90% on the final and got B! Very happy!

I don't understand the negative ratings. Yes, he has a heavy accent which is pretty much his only flaw. I had him over the summer and I thought I learned so much from him. He's tough, so maybe the negative critics are from lazy people. Calc 2 is a tough class in general so study hard and listen to him. He knows what he is doing.

go to class everyday, pay attention, participate, do all his homeworks. He is not a hard teacher, he is thorough, you just have to make sure you are doing the work and practicing. People who did not do well, just did not try to do all the work and get tutoring, like the professor had recommended

Very good professor for those that math comes easy to them. He is very helpful, solves problems and very flexible. You just need to want to success and he will help you.

GREAT PROFESSOR! He is very helpful and is ALWAYS available for help. You do have to study to pass his tests. His tests and exams are not easy but straightforward. No surprises on his exams and from day one he tells you what kind of questions you will see on the final. I would only recommend him to students who study hard. I would take him again.

Good professor! Textbook homework, Webassign homework, he really makes you practice so you can learn. Subject is NOT difficult, you just need to really put time in studying. Gives weekend study sessions the last 4 weeks to prepare for finals. Just do both textbook homework and webassign and you will be okay.

Sina was hard to understand in the beginning but open your ears and listen, you will understand. He is helpful, takes attendance every class. He gives weekly quizzes which can help you towards the big exams he gives. He speaks the truth, the final is very hard so take the class seriously. Really nice professor.

Professor Sina is great at what he does. He is helpful to the struggeling students who shouldnt be in his class in the first place. Homeworks every week, exams are related to what he explains in class and the homeworks. He is tough by nature however he is a very nice person. His spoken english is Crystal Clear.

This is the best professor ever!!!!! I had taken calculus before and was clueless. When I began taking prof Skender class, he made everything so clear, he explains every material clearly, he writes everything down on the board, so just take notes. I didn't even open my text book once, his notes are like gold. He helps his students a lot! he's BEST

Professor Sina is an amazing professor. He seems very tough and hard during the course, emphasizing the importance of homework, quizes, attendance and hard work. However, calculus is not an easy subject and does require work and practice. His tests are harder than the final. So he will prepare you for it. Definitely recommended if you want to pass.

Took him for pre-calc during the summer. Given three test which were harder then the final. Learn how to take good notes and pay close attention to the calculator work and you will do fine.

I got a 99 on the final. Just take good notes and dont be afraid to ask questions if your confused. He teaches very helpful shortcuts to do things quicker. Make sure to understand calc part for easy points. Youll do fine.

Professor Skender is truly amazing. He throws some hilarious jokes during class to easy the tension of the difficulty of the course. His exams are very hardcore, but that only prepares you for the final. Final was super easy compared to his exams. Replies to email quick and cares for his students. Highly recommended.

Best math professor Ive taken in this school. Taught everything that was needed in the class while reviewing the material before every test as well. HW on my math lab was due every week. Finished the syllabus early in order to focus on the final and provide opportunities to boost your grade.

Best calc prof out there. He's funny and actually cares for his students. You have to go to every class and attend all the reviews. HW is online and usually harder then the final and his test so don't get anxious. Just make sure you study before exams at least 3-4 days and you'll do great.

Although Calculus is an extremely difficult subject, Sina is great and hilarious. He is very organized, knows his stuff and truly cares for the students. He gives a lot of quizzes, homework and his tests can be very difficult but they prepare you for the final.

At first, I regret taking him. I did not understood him at all and he makes all of his exams so hard, so many quizzes as well. But after 2 months in, I realized what a gem he is. He's srsly so caring in all aspects even tho he has a smart mouth. He'll continuously give you extra credit to boost up your grade. He pushes and prepares you for thefinal

Professor comes off as gruff but he is actually very kind and caring. He goes over every type of problem and warns of common mistakes. Tests are challenging, but he gives good study guides and partial credit for work shown. Dept final was mad easy by comparison. I didn't find the class hard, but then I like math and I did a lot of practice problems

He's a GREAT professor! He tries his best to help his students. Precalc is hard in general and you can't expect professors to spoonfeed you. If you work hard then you'll definitely do well but you have to put in the effort for your grade. His quizzes/tests aren't the easiest but definitely prepares you for the final

Skender cares very much about how students do. He teaches everything, then reviews it again before the test and offer ways to get some extra credit. The kids dont do well in his class because of their work, he provides everything needed to pass with an A. He provides study sheets to. Honestly the best Math professor I ever had. Hes hilarious too!

Professor Skender Sina is the best example of a Baruch professor. He made sure everyone understands the material as how he understands it himself. He is very fair to everyone and has a very good reputation with maintaining academic and classroom ethics. I commend him very much for handling the transition to distance learning so smoothly.

He's the toughest math prof I've had in college and I had to work hard for my grade, because he's very picky about details and wants to see a complete, properly notated, explanation for the solutions. It was frustrating in the beginning but it made me better, so the next 2 calc classes and 4000-level maths were a breeze.

He's not that bad for MTH 2003 tbh. Just write all the things that he wrote on the board then you be fine. I just took the exam 2 days ago and is very similar to what he has been doing in class. It just needs a little effort in practicing the questions before tests and u will be good. Take him and if you need extra help.

He explains everything pretty well in a way students can understand. He provides quiz samples before quiz day. If you review all the quizzes you took, then you will be able to do the final exam. Easy pass.

He's a very sweet person, always pushes us to do our best. He teaches at a slow pace, making it very easy to follow. There is a lot of homework online that was very difficult, and quizzes every other week usually. As long as you seek help as needed, you'll do just fine. He's really a great professor.
