She is so great. She keeps you interested even at 8 o clock in the morning. If you have a chance to take her, you should because she is the funnest and most excting teacher you'll ever have. Plus she is very hot...i mean beautiful

I took the two saturday class. It was easy, but long. There were a lot of breaks which was nice. The inner circle stuff was a pain, but it was not bad. It was a little crowded, and the cave is not a fun classroom, but she is a good teacher and a ****.

Skye is awsome. Have taken her for Comm 1 and 12 and will later for Comm 2 and 10. (I like to stick with the same teacher :P) Shes scatter brained and a bit out there but is very passionate about her subject and makes you want to learn. I changed my major because of her class. Sky is the greatest! I hate public speaking but she was very supportive and takes all the craziness for herself so you look really calm and normal. Outline the chapters of the book, write and present about 5 speeches and thats about it. Pretty simple!

Skye is a bit overwhelming at first, because she's unusual and fun and says weird words, but shes very passionate about her topic and you quickly adjust to her methods. Fun class, allows you a nice break in your day and still teaches you. I had a lot of fun. Workload is relatively light.

Skye, is just awesome. I took her small group communication class to satisfy a general ed requirement and now i'm hooked on comm. She is one of the most helpful, kind, flexible, and inspiring teachers i have ever had. She makes the material very interesting and really cares about her students success academically as well as mentally and socially.

Took class over the wintersession. Course was very simple and easy to follow. Class grade taken mostly off of attendance (80%) and the final. As she put it, if your breathing and show up to class, you will pass!

Skye is the most fun teacher I've had. The main thing I like is that she is optimistic while retaining this witty, comical cynicism that we have as young people. Her classes are easy if you want it to be, but you'll want to go beyond the call of duty because she's so sweet. On top of that, her classes are interesting, and, well, she is SOOO HOT!

Gentile is one of the best teachers at Cabrillo! She's enthusiastic and funny, but knows her stuff. She's loud and witty, without being oppressive. HW is little to NONE (depends on the course) and no required textbooks. Class has a lot of laidback interaction, a lot of laughs, but you still learn some good stuff. RECOMMEND!

This was a hard class - Group Discussion - but Skye was helpful, interesting and funny! I would take any of her classes as I know that they will be packed with good info that is very applicable. Wow, so I had to have a COMM1 class and this had an opening. So glad I took it, I learned a lot, Skye helped me see what was needed to make a great speech through her attention and willingness to help. Great teacher, fantastic enthusiasm, energetic, beware it's catching!!! This is a teacher that CARES, and works to make you a capable speaker!!

skye was really funny, interesting, and fullll of energy that doesn't let you doze off for one second. intercultural comm was fairly easy and we talked about intersting subjects. at the end of the semester the whole class got to go to china town which was really fun

WOW! she is very enthusiastic! good things come in small packages! she is a teacher that loves her students and wants them to not only learn but understand interpersonal relationships, this class was very helpful, something you definitely use in life and makes your relationship with your love ones understandable and better!

Skye is an enthusiastic teacher that will teach you great skills that are applicable to more then the class itself. Advice: Do your outlines early, prepare early for everything, have fun, and I promise you'll get an A. I failed Comm 1 twice before because of my anxiety, and Skye taught me how to be the best speaker I can be despite those setbacks.

I did NOT want to take a communications class. Skye totally changed my opinion of the subject. She makes class a blast and brings out the best in every student. This class turned out to be my favorite of the semester. I looked forward to going every week and learned so much.

Class was awesome, very easy and straightforward. You got an A for showing up and doing all the work. Skye does push her more left winged views in the class which can be annoying if you're more of a conservative person, but it's college. Overall great lady and awesome class. Definitely recommend!

Sky is an amazing person and she cares about what is happening in the world. I was not expecting the material in this class to be so deep. I wanted to cry during almost every class. I came out of this class with new understanding and prospective about peoples differences. Sky keeps you on your toes and you enjoy her class.

Her intercultural communications class will make you think and feel deeply. She's energetic, but still organized. She designs courses very thoughtfully. She doesn't shy away from controversial subjects, but still teaches with balanced facts. I learned more from her than most of my UC Professors. She's certainly one of the best teachers at cabrillo.

Skye is great! Her Interpersonal Comm class is very informal and interactive, so come to class with an open mind and get ready to make friends with your fellow students. You choose your own readings and activities, and there is no regular homework, except for two portfolios and a group presentation. It's an easy class if you plan your time well.

Skye is absolute GOAT. She is an amazing person, and an even better professor. I had her for Comm1 Public Speaking, and Comm4 Group Discussion. Our classes ended up getting moved online mid-way through the semester because of COVID-19 pandemic. She is super understanding with everything as long as you're honest with her. Would definitely take again

Ms. Gentile was very enthusiastic and was a very fun teacher. The assignments were extremely easy to complete and graded easily. Oftentimes due dates did not matter at all as long as assignments were turned in. In canvas, it was fairly confusing to find what assignments were due and what we had to do. Not very organized but she is very flexible.

This class had to be one of my favorite classes thus far! Skye was so fun and understanding and was great about not making things too overwhelming. She also has a pretty free schedule to talk with and help you if you need it. Most of the homework is chapter outlining, so take the time to do these assignments because they are easy points.

I loved her class and she made public speaking feel so comfortable. She did a great job building a supportive class atmosphere and people's speeches were super interesting, which made the class fun. I also learned so much about how important good outlines are that I've used in every class I've taken since.

Sky has been one of the best professors I've had at Cabrillo they teach in such a fun way that really helps their students want to participate! They make speeches not intimidating at all and I learned a lot definitely would take again!!

Prof. Skye is so chill and they really care about their students. There is a textbook requirement and you will use it but I got mine online. It's a really fun class and Skye's personality makes it so that you feel comfortable speaking in their class. 10/10 definitely take any Comm class with them.

Professor Skye made you want to attend her zoom meetings due to how devoted she was to teaching. Her lessons were very fun to follow along. It is not even funny how easy this class is. Professor Gentile makes comm1 a simple, easy, and streamlined class and is an easy 3 credits. Highly recommend taking this class if you want basically free credits.

Very nice teacher. I took this class over the summer online and it was pretty easy. We had weekly assignments that were related to textbook ready but they were very simple. We recorded ourselves doing different speeches and those were very short and very easy as well.

I took this class online which is DEFINITELY the move. Get ready to handwrite all of your notes, they only accepted handwritten notes which was weird but chill. Other than that the only thing graded was a speech every couple weeks. Extremely easy A.
