Gremillion is the best sociology professor! He is so easy. Just go to class and take notes. Don't copy what's on the power points though (unless it's a definition). Just jot down everything he talks about. Exams are a little tricky but very easy (common sense). Oh! Exams aren't comprehensive!
Great teacher! His class is pretty easy. Don't wait until the day of to study for his tests though because there is a lot of info covered. Also get the online textbook because it helps on quizzes because you can use the search. I recommend this class!
He was very entertaining and the test was very consistent with the lecture and textbook.
AMAZING TEACHER!!! I wasnt planning on attending his classes due to the fact that they were once a week on wednesday nights, BUT i actually wanted to attend class because his lectures keep you entertained. And he is a really awesome guy all around. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!! =)
I really was unsure if I was going to like this class but I ended up attending every single one. He does not take participation, but the test go off of his notes (i read the text book in every other class and didnt need to in this one). He makes class very interesting and really cares about his students. I would definately recommend him!
He is the best professor I've ever had at LSU. If you need a Gen Ed, TAKE HIM! He knows how to keep you interested, and he's hilarious. Best. Guy. Ever.
He is my favorite teacher so far. He's hilarious and is very understanding if you miss an assignment. I actually wanted to go to his class and I had it at 830 in the morning. LOVED THIS CLASS. Also, he removes questions from the test that he thinks are bad or were unfair questions.
Keeps you interested while lecturing and explains the material well. The tests are based off notes and lectures so going to class helps. The tests are very hard in my opinion and very opinionated but he curves them. I ended with a high B in the class and was disappointed, but overall a good teacher. Online quizzes help a lot with your grade as well
His class is amazing. Attendance is mandatory because you have to take notes. He curves your test grades and gives bonus opportunities. He teaches clear and gives a bunch of examples so you can understand the material better. Take him!
Gremillion is awesome! He's hilarious and his lectures are easy to understand. You do have to go to class because his exams are based off his notes. His exams are not easy in the fact that he makes you think about the question, instead of just regurgitating information. I ended up with an A.
Fun teacher and very interesting lectures. HOWEVER his test can be ridiculous due to testing center rules dealing with the test bank. pure luck with which ?s you get. but he does give curves. still recommend because of how awesome his lectures are
Skylar is probably one of the best proffessors I've had yet. His lectures are actually interesting. There are moodle quizes assigned for each chapter and some of the same questions appear on the exams. Be sure to visit him during office hours or ask questions during class, he's easy to talk to and enjoys speaking with students.
This is my third class I have taken with Skylar, he is a great teacher. He keeps you interested and involved. Social interaction in itself is a complex but it's an easy B at the least. There are some articles you have to summarize, one midterm and final paper. He doesn't grade to harsh if you understand what you are talking about.
I would take him for every sociology if I could. He keeps class so interesting and is very funny. Only 7:30 class I didn't dread going to. You do have to go to class to get all of the notes and understand the topics/examples completely but that should be expected from any class... Would recommend him to anyone wanting to take SOCL 2001.
Really enjoyed his class- his lectures are interesting and funny! Do not recommend taking at 7:30 though, seeing as I slept through many lectures. Only take 3 tests including the final but have weekly quizzes (you can find the answers online usually). Must go to class to get the notes which is what the tests are based on.
Skylar is a really great teacher. He opened my eyes to the world of sociology. I feel like I even interact with people better now. That being said, he has such a great personality that I had no problem with attending the 7:30 class. He is so adorable!!
He is a great teacher...had this class at 7:30 and I had no problem going. He kept his lectures interesting, and if you put in the effort to go to class and take notes then you should be able to make an A in this class. I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to take 2001.
Fun class, sucks it is at 7:30am though. Easy A
Cool guy. Interesting to listen to and very helpful. Cares about his students. Easy class, just attend, take notes, and read the book for quizzes. Only 3 tests and 4 quizzes due by each test. Definitely take him!
I loved this class! Even though this was a 7:30 am class, he made is super funny and interesting. His exams are straight from his lectures, so if you see a review saying that the exams were hard then the reviewer a) lacked common sense and b) never went to class. Just go to class and you will do fine! I would take him again if I could!
Dr. Gremilion was a great teacher. He was very interested in the topics and he made the discussions interesting. There weren't many grades so you had to well on everything to get a good grade but there were quizzes and he dropped the lowest.
Interesting class
Professor Gremillion is very passionate about his work. I took sociology of education this semester and attendance was taken almost daily. The tests are essay based, he gave us sample questions a week in advance which were helpful. The best thing about this class is that it is easy to relate too. The first half was kind of boring but it gets better
The best class I have taken by far, because of this professor. SKylar is by far the coolest and most passionate professor I have had at LSU. He tries to make jokes and keeps the class interesting with discussions. Easy A
You can tell he really loves the subject. His lectures are very detailed, but the tests are easy and common sense.
He is such a great teacher! Tests are from notes so you have to go to class, but you also have to understand the information. He puts lots of examples on his tests. Quizzes on moodle every now and then, but once you take it, you can see the answers so you will get 100 on those. For the most part he is easy, but you have to work. Fun lectures too!
As a sociology major, I definitely plan to take Gremillion again. His tests aren't super easy, but if you go to class, you'll pass easily. Lectures are interesting and online quizzes are not only easy, but you get two attempts on them (same questions.) Definitely my favorite professor
Entire test is from the notes and you have to attend class to get them. Tests are all about applying what you learned; no simple definitions. This is NOT an easy A blow-off, you must work for your grade, but Skylar is very nice and will help you out if you attend class, engage in discussion, and go to his office hours.
I had Gremillion for honors sociology-about 25 people at 7:30 AM. He's a cheerful, open guy and lectures were very interesting and he encouraged questions. Tests were essay based and questions were very open ended - took some getting used to. You have to really understand the concepts for his honors class, not just memorize definitions.
Great professor and he will help you out when needed
He's funny and gives examples. Recommend for a gen ed humanities credit.
very cool guy. tests are super easy and I often didn't study and made B's. doesn't take attendance but you need to go bc he doesn't post his lectures, unless you buy the book which is basically his powerpoints. quizzes on moodle which saves from buying access code!! and answers usually on quizlet! If I put in more effort could have made an A.
I heard great reviews on him when I signed up for the class. By the time the first test came around I was thinking that I signed up for the wrong guy. He has definitely gotten tougher on his exam. And it's definitely not an easy A class anymore!! With that being said he will help you if you have questions and go to his office hours.
Not a hard class, but not an easy A. You must go to class. He will not feel sympathy for no one when its exam time.
Not horrible, but not a class I would take for a good grade. His exams are all one question essay style, and he is very subjective with his grading, so make sure, somehow, that he likes your answer/thought process. He ranks your grade based on how others did. Doesn't answer emails reliably. Will not help pull up a borderline grade.
Dr. Gremillion is a fair instructor. There are forum posts and responses due each week. The amount of lecture material can get burdensome but he only tests on two chapters for each exam; there were (5 total). I wasn't fond of the time limit for each quiz and exam (20-50min) which contained (16-50) questions. If you're a fast learner, take him.
Definitely recommend this class. The chapters are really long, but pretty interesting. A quiz every week, an exam every 3 weeks (multiple choice), and weekly forum posts. Not at all a difficult class. Glad I took it!
Online with Gremillion was great. Post on the message board and respond and you're golden. Weekly quizzes and he drops an exam, all of which have most of the answers on Quizlet so you can study from exact test questions by simple Googling. Grem was also readily available if you had questions about quiz grading (I caught a few errors). Grade boost!
I love his humor in class. He really likes to get people to be engaged. We did a panel that lasts all class period. Depending on when you get scheduled to do it may be hard or may not be. The test are 40% so you have to do well. I wished he had the first test count for less and the second for more. Just because even he says people tank the 1st one
Dr. Gremillion is a great guy and knowledgeable, but I wouldn't take him for upper level classes. His exams are all essay and he is a tough grader. Class material is all abstract and has nothing to do with test. He does sporadic quizzes throughout the semester and discussion panels, which were interesting. If you don't have to take 4471, don't.
He is very nice and helpful. He is harder than many profs in his dept., but his class is very thoughtful. He exams are all writing essays, but okay for me because I write for food. Lectures are great, but sometimes unclear because he would jump a bit off tangent. Lots of participation and panel that I like, so it's not just lectures. Great prof.
He is very knowledgeable and forces you to think critically. He grades exams extremely hard and they were both essay based. He is the hardest sociology professor I have taken at LSU. Attendance is taken randomly. He is a really funny guy, not sure if I would take him again though.
he was pretty boring and always felt like he was just talking. he put more interesting links and interactive study aids that helped online. you will need to study but exams are not bad. quizzes are easy and answers are on quizlet.
Great professor. The readings are abstract but he will make sure you understand it. Exams are pretty open-ended and you can answer however as long as they are related to readings, so not a lot to study for. 3 exams and 1 final paper and presentation, so last month of class no lecture. Paper can be hard for some but he is willing to help.
Not a hard online class, but you have to actively participate in the forum discussions every week. It can add up because you definitely can't do it at the last minute because you can only post so many times a day. Subject is pretty simple. Definitely recommend if needing an easy online class.
The course was easy to make a good grade in, but only if you do all of the assignments and readings.
Was definitely tough and unexpected. Heard great things from my friends who took him online, but having him in the classroom was very tough. I could never understand the material no matter how many times I went to him for help. Take him online if you get the chance.... difficult difficult lemon difficult in the classroom.
Before I took this class I was on the verge of dropping out of school and posting ads on Backpage. I lost the motivation to fulfill my dream of being a sociologist and was going to settle on making a few dollars turning tricks here and there. But then I met Skylar. He helped me turn my life around. He inspired me. Now I wont live a life of shame.
This class was one of those easy elective classes, but don't expect to just do nothing in this class. We had to do essays and research related things, but as long as you put forth effort, you should be fine.
Dr. Gremillion is the best professor I have ever had. He pushes you to actually understand sociology instead of memorizing terms. He can come off as tough at the beginning, but he genuinely cares about how you do in his class, all you have to do is ask for help. Do not listen to any of the negative comments on here, he's absolutely great.
He was an amazing professor that loved outside feedback. If you put a noticeable effort into your papers he will give you a good grade. he still remembers me from taking his class and will talk to you outside of class if he sees you. I would recommend him to everyone.
Good professor, hard class.
Good teacher. As long as you go to class and write down important info on the power points, you should get an A. He gave about 3 average points of extra credit throughout the semester.
He gives great lectures and says attendance is mandatory but it isn't. If you read the textbook only you will probably still wind up with a B. Most of his lectures are straight from the book with a few other things that he will mention. If he mentions something in a lecture that isn't in the book, remember it. It will be on the test.
I had Dr. Gremillion every semester of undergrad and there was a reason for that. Yes he's hard grader and his classes are tough but his methods work if you do. He wants students to do well but he also wants to push them. He is always happy to meet outside of class, which is key. I learned a lot from him and wish I could take him again, best prof
Very easy exams, just read the book and go to lectures to take notes and you'll be fine.
This class was pretty straightforward and easy. Everything on the tests was from the powerpoints he showed during class, which were easy to follow and copy down. The homework could be a bit much because he had a forum due about every week. Overall, not that hard. Just get the notes from the powerpoints and you're good to go.
I had high expectations for this class and didn't really leave the class with any new information learned. Tests are heavily based on readings that were very dense for a good chunk of the semester and are pulled via class discussions which are for points. If there were more lectures than discussions on mandatory readings it would not have been bad.
At first i thought it was gonna be a boring class but i was mistaken. He knows what he's talking about, his voice is not boring, he cracks jokes, and in the end there were a lot of opportunities to get extra credit and boost your grade. Reading the book IS a necessity and there are forums you will need to do but they're overall pretty easy
sometimes does random attendance for bonus points. he makes his lectures really interesting and his tests are straight from his powerpoints so if you skip class you miss out on an easy A
Amazing professor! I definitely recommend taking him. Extremely caring and understanding. Work is consistent throughout the weeks and the material is actually interesting!
The topics discussed in this class are what made it slightly difficult. Dr. Gremillion is super passionate about sociology and makes the topics more easily digested. Tests are only essay and fill in the blank. While he makes you work for it, he is one of the best professors on LSU campus and is so laid back. He makes it a point to learn names.
He is very passionate and understanding! He did not expect everyone to go to class everyday, although, most of the exams have questions based on his power points. Overall, he was a great teacher and one of my favorites. His class was easy as long as you attended class and read the chapters in the book.
One of my favorite professors at LSU! He's always so respectful and understanding. His classes are paper heavy because he believes we "as undergrads don't write as much as we need to" so get ready for that. He makes the material fun and interesting.
One of my favorite professors at LSU! His classes are paper heavy because he believes we "as undergrads don't write as much as we need to" so get ready for that. Beware of the pop quizzes. DO THE READINGS BEFORE COMING TO CLASS! He will always discuss them and maybe even call you out so alway be prepared.
Great professor. Class is straightforward: read the textbook, complete online forums, and do the assignments for an easy A. Attendance is not mandatory but his lectures help SO much. Easy to approach if you have an issue. Take this class!
This class was by far one of the easiest classes I've taken at LSU. The content is also fairly interesting. I'm not sure how this course is in-person, but the online course that I took over the summer was decently pased and the workload was not bad if you managed your time. Definitely take this class with Dr. Gremillion.
I was thinking to drop out of this class after the first day but glad that I didn't. Dr. Gremillion is really nice professor that's willing to help his students to do better. Midterm and final are actually not that bad if you did the reading throughout the course. I'll take his class again!
I took class online because of COVID and Skylar is a good professor personality wise. You can tell that hes really passionate about his work but i would not recommend this professor because his papers are HARD & difficult to understand. There is no clear prompt. Theres a lot of reading & mandatory discussion.
Amazing professor. He's super easy for intro, a little harder for theory. The textbook for theory is hard to read, but he makes it easier. His tests were all MC for 2001 and all essay for 3101. The essay prompts are a little obtuse but he gives you the prompts beforehand. Class moves ungodly slow though, so you have time to mull over information.
I really liked him overall as a professor. Everything he had to say was super interesting and really made you ponder, which is a good thing. Sociology is already an interesting topic to begin with, and this class just confirmed by belief. He does give essays rather than tests so watch out if youre not a good writer.
This was the second time I have taken Dr. Gremillion and while he is a tough grader, he genuinely wants his students to grasp the concepts and will work with you and discuss it in depth. He is the most accommodating professor that I have had during the pandemic and while the concepts are tough, he makes learning about them interesting.
I had this class online and It wasn't bad at all. He was super easy to reach via email and is super nice. The discussion forums lowkey kicked my butt but they were graded relatively easy. A few of my friends had a diff professor and claimed she was easier but I would still not mind taking this class again.
You get graded for attendance so show up. Lectures aren't too terrible. He's a super nice guy but there will be two short writing assignments a week and then four long papers where he checks every single word and citation. I think the papers were graded pretty harsh. The two writing assignments are graded easy, just do them. The papers not so much.
I took this class under COVID-19 restrictions. There was a video lecture and a chapter in the textbook due each week. You had to complete an 8 question quiz and a forum each week and there was an exam every other week. The tests were really hard and it was really important to read the textbook.
Amazing professor. He is great with office hours and explaining topics. Great introduction class.
This has been my favorite professor by far this semester. I took his class during COVID. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and wants you to succeed. I would 100% take him again.
Professor Gremillion provided us with all the materials necessary to succeed in this class. The assignments and tests are fair. You will have to be present, participate, and read in order to be successful in this class. Professor Gremillion is very knowledgable on the topic and is willing to help if you need it!
This is my second time taking class with Dr. Gremillion. His tests seem hard but it's actually helping students to understand the class materials. His lectures will make you think deeper about the materials. He cares about his students.
I loved this class so much! He's an awesome professor and his lectures are very engaging. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an easy sociology class.
This professor was one of my favorites. He really engages with the students and makes class time enjoyable. I would highly recommend if you are interested in sociology. His tests may be graded hard and reading the textbook is necessary, but I didn't mind at all because he made it so interesting. Great guy and great class.
Dr. Gremillion really works with us! He understands our busy schedules and is willing to work with us. He teaches very well and often drops in a few jokes to keep our attention. He is very well respected. His test are not that hard, but you have to study. Currently, they are timed exams on Moodle. TAKE HIM!
Very entertaining
He is a great speaker and lectures are entertaining. I would recommend anyone take his class I simply wasn't able to go to lectures so I kinda slipped with my grades. It's a super easy class I'm just stupid.
I recommend everyone taking professor Gremillion. He is an amazing professor who really cares for his students that show up to his class. It is very important to show up for his class because you will miss out on his lectures. The information learned in his class is very useful and interesting.
He's a very funny professor and all of his tests and quizzes were online for my semester. Attendance was not mandatory, but notes were helpful for the assessments. No writing or assignments outside of tests and quizzes.
His lectures were based on what was on the quizzes and tests and he related them in ways that was easy to understand from our perspective. We had reading quizzes from the textbook once a week at least with larger chapter tests about once a month ish. They weren't that hard if you read the book and had some common sense.
Dr. Gremilion is super funny and I really enjoy his lectures. His class structure is super straight forward and your grade definitely reflects your effort. I'd definitely recommend him.
I absolutely adored Professor Gremillion. He did not require attendance but I actually wanted to go because of how interesting and entertaining his lectures were. Hes truly a wonderful person that cares a lot about his students.
I took this class online at an accelerated rate which can be difficult, but it was great to get the class over with in 7 weeks. The course material itself is hard, and the book he requires doesn't make it easier. He is a nice guy, but this class dives into a lot of tough material. Get ready to read and get frustrated because nothing makes sense.
Professor Gremillion doesn't make attendance mandatory but sometimes put questions on the test about things you would only know if you go to class. He drops the lowest quiz and lowest exam grade. He also grades on a different scale, so a 79.45 was considered a B-. His notes are very straightforward. Read your notes before test and try to go to SI!
Great teacher! Weekly moodle quizzes and you need to go to class. His tests can be tricky but if you go to every class they should be easy. He has a great personality and makes the lectures very interesting. The test questions come straight from lectures. He also dropped lowest test grade.
Amazing professor! Make sure you go to class, even though it is not mandatory. All of his exams are from the lectures, not the textbook so forewarning.
Glad I took his class when I was told not to. Exams are heavily based on lectures and some on the text. Weekly quizzes and maybe 4 exams. Lectures are super interesting and funny. Great professor.
hes super nice and funny and his lectures are entertaining. very chill but serious about coming to class only for the benefit of the students. on the exams, he puts in questions that you would only know if you came to class and not just read the textbook. the tests arent too hard as long as you pay attention and study. hes always willing to help
This professor is good but he decided to change the textbook for this course. Make sure you attend class because all of the test questions come from his lectures. He does not post the notes or anything on moodle, so if you know no one in the class you are kinda screwed. I thought his tests were pretty difficult. But he does care about his students.
I attended class everyday but still found it difficult to learn some of the concepts. Offers no extra credit but would give out 0.1 - 0.25 "Bonus" for showing up on a holiday or a random class day, which was basically useless. The tests were difficult, & he wasn't helpful when asked about the content and how to study, especially for the final exam
Lots of people told me to take this professor but I would not take him again. He changed the textbook and teaching style this semester and posted no notes, so you would have to go to class. All my other friends who took a different sociology had a super easy A online course with a different teacher. Sociology is supposed to be easy not hard.
I took Dr.Gremillion's class over the summer. At this time, I had an unexpected surgery. When I asked him for an extension of a deadline, he did not give it to me. Even when I did complete the assignment fresh after surgery, I got a C on the assignment. As a professor, he is: inflexible about deadlines, tough grader, and hard to meet outside class.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time in this class. You can tell when a teacher genuinely cares about the subject matter and their students and Dr. Gremillion is an excellent example of that. While the course can be a bit difficult at times, he was very available outside of class and understanding of extraneous issues and I would absolutely take him again.
great prof! super nice and the course work isn't too bad, definitely an easy A
While this class was not what I was expecting, Professor Gremillion did a nice job at understanding the concepts are very dense. He graded fair on all of the assignments and dropped something from almost every section of the grade book. He isn't the best with email, but talking to him in class seems to be the best way to reach him.
This class is all writing, but Dr. Gremillion is really helpful with understanding the material which can be super dense and giving clear feedback. He comes off super tough initially, but he wants all of his students to succeed. This class is also discussion based so participation matters a lot.
I've taken quite a few online courses and this one was the worst. He gives no lectures and the course material is one book that is very vague and confusing. The only thing that got me a B in this class was the fact that none of the quizzes and exams are proctored. I really don't recommend taking this guy if you actually want to learn something.
This guy is the worst
Bro blows
One of the best professors! He takes attendance, so go to class! The lectures are based on readings so read the textbook before class. Prof Gremillion is also funny and he keeps lectures fun and clears any confusion about the reading. Lots of writing but he pushes his students to be the best they can and offers so much help if needed.
Hilarious and amazing professor! Easily accessible outside of class and he wants you to succeed. The tests can be difficult with the amount of information, but if you put in the work you can do well. He also explains difficult concepts really well to help you better understand the material.
He is a great teacher, and he is also very sympathetic and understanding.
Such a nice person, and really cares about what you have to say. Assignments are really easy, basically participation grades
Although he is a great teacher with good lectures his test questions can have 2 answers. Doesn't give much bonus but has quizzes for each chapter.
AWFUL!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!
do not take this class. the test can have multiple answers and he does not give bonus. awful
His exams are hard for no reason. I need this class for my major and I am barely passing it with a C. His lectures seem easy, but the exams are extremely hard and one answer can be more right than the other so its hard to do well. Literally do not take this professor this is my lowest grade and I am bio major. AWFUL!!!!!
do not take him this class is hard for no reason. terrible so mad I took him. literally take anyone else
Great professor. You will only do good if you come to class and take notes. He does not post lectures. The tests were average. Come to class and study hard and you will do fine.
All I have to say is DO NOT TAKE, especially if you're not good at writing because that's all this class was.
You will get a good grade in this class if you attend all the lectures and take good notes. Everyone does pretty bad on the first exam just because of the wording and there is no clear study guide so there is a lot of information to consume. The quizzes are easy and they come right from the textbook, and he drops the lowest test grade.
One of my favorite professors from my first year. His lectures were interesting and engaging, but I did have him as a res college class so the class size was smaller. Work outside of class is easy, but the exams can be writing-heavy and difficult.
Favorite professor at LSU, but challenging. You definitely have to read and go to class to have a chance to do well. If you like thinking sociologically, you will like this class. His lectures are usually quite interesting but a bit hard to follow, and he a lot of times doesn't have any presentation or notes to copy, he sits up there and talks.
Dr. Gremillion is awesome. The material can be difficult at times, and he grades meticulously, but he is so kind and understanding. Accessible outside of class, provides meaningful feedback on assignments, really does care about his students. Love him!!!
The turn it in folder for essays was not working correctly. IT was little help, Prof Gremillion wouldn't believe I was having technical problems because he said I was the only one having problems. I've discovered too late turn it in has a help desk for students, I've created an acct for future classes. The entire term was traumatic & demoralizing.
I would not recommend taking unless it is required of you. The concepts are very abstract and Professor Gremillion, while he is certainly a genius, doesn't always dumb down the highly advanced textbook for students. So it takes a lot of work at home to truly understand the concepts he teaches.
This class with Professor Gremillion is not bad at all. It did not take up too much time and I would def. take another class with him.
I can honestly say he cares a lot about his students and our capabilities. He will test your writing abilities and critical thinking skills, but it's all to ensure you succeed in the course. Be prepared to read and discuss the chapters from the textbook your exams are essay-based and will be influenced by whatever reading you guys completed.
Amazing professor. His lectures may be a little stream-of-consciousness at times, but engaging all the same. He picks interesting material and teaches it well. He likes talking with the class and he's very real. Most importantly, he wastes no time trying to wrap up the semester quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend, even without a soc. major.
I really enjoyed this class. My only complaint is that sometimes he was a bit tough on grading open-ended questions. You really have to know the terminology and how to apply it to real-world situations.
The professor is very rude, especially when giving feedback on papers. There is a paper every single week, some long and some short and no matter how hard you work, you can't get a good grade. Stay far away if you can. His responses are very rude and unnecessary.
currently taking the half semester course. I have taken half semester courses before but none of them have ever been like this. The entire 7 weeks you're writing long papers and essays. He's very strict with grading and his feedback/emails come off rude. I'd say stay away from this course specifically.
This class was one of my favorites during freshman year. Professor Gremillion is a great guy and really cares about his students and his work. Go to class because his lectures are really interesting and he's a great guy!
Professor Gremillion's lectures are interesting and he's a really funny guy. He tries to relate to his students and our generation, and as long as you take all the quizzes and tests (all on moodle), then you'll pass the class.
He is amazing! I had him him for a different course last sem and just had to take him again. He is very funny. He is a tough grader though and does take attendance. He explains the material well enough that you should be able to do well. There is a textbook but its free and he gives you the link. 10/10 love that man.
Professor Gremillion was actually the best professor I've had so far in college. He makes a very big effort to make class interesting and his lectures are easy to follow. My biggest piece of advice is to go to class, even if you don't pay attention, because he purposely puts questions on the tests that are only given in class. The tests are at home
Dr. Gremillion is so funny and his lectures are really good. SOCL 2000 is kind of boring because it's so beginner but he makes it interesting. He doesnt post slides or recordings at all, so make sure you're going to class. Exams are online but you have like 1 minute per question and you can't go back to questions you already answered.
LOVE LOVE LOVE him!!! I have never participated more in a class than this one. He is so down to earth. Like you just get girls girl vibes from him. The material is very interesting and king gives you the textbook for free. Few assignments so the grades matter. Dry emailer but don't get offended. Class is purely lecture so attendance matters.
Skylar is a cool professor, chill personality and I enjoyed his lectures. He does tend to throw in questions from the exam that are from his lectures so go to class!!!! He does not take attendance but there are benefits of going, everyone who goes has the highest grades.
Honestly not a bad professor. But the exams are 80% of your grade so you need to go to class. Material is easy and no homework. But not many other grades besides exams so there is no room to help your grade. Attendance is not mandatory but just go for the sake of your exam grades.
Super super nice professor... he treats us like we're his kids lol. If you don't go to class or at least read the textbook. you def won't pass. his quizzes are very scenario based so you absolutely must know your stuff... each module is pretty repetitive, so it shouldn't be that hard... I would def take his class again. TAKE THE FINAL!!! trust me.
I loved this class and he is the best professor I have had at LSU. His has a straight to the point style so if you are not able to handle that I wouldn't recommend his classes. I took two of his classes at the same time but I wouldn't really really recommend doing it because it was stressful. There isn't any extra credit and attendance is graded.
Dr. Gremillion is hilarious, I called him my Adam Sandler professor lol. He kept his lectures entertaining, but I honestly still found them a bit difficult to follow sometimes. There is just a lot of heavy jargon, and it was in a large auditorium which made it difficult to pay attention and ask questions. Only 4 exams and chapter quizzes.
