I have never enjoyed a math class as much as this one! I took the new integrated Math 065 class and Professor Bowers presented the material in a clear, straight-forward, and easy to understand manner. She will go over the material as much as you need and offers many different ways to solve the same problem. I will be taking her future classes.

Ms. Bowers is a great teacher. Loved her for 065 so now im taking her for MATH 070. Shes very helpful & wants all her students to succeed but u have to do ur part & do your work.

Professor Bowers was amazing for MATH 65. I hated math so much and I thought I would do horribly in the class, but her methods are wonderful! She has a few different ways to explain things is one doesn't make sense. A fair grader. And all around nice woman. If you hate math like most people, she is the teacher for you!!!

Class is easy if you pay attention. Ms Bowers is very helpful. She can be fast so pay attention. MyMathLab helps if you don't understand her. For me personally she is the best math teacher I've had so far.

Ms. Bowers is an amazing math teacher. You do need to do the homework to pass. She explains math with real life situations. Ms. Bowers also takes her time to make sure you understand everything, devoted to you passing the class, do the work, and study the formulas you should have no problem passing. She gave me a higher appreciation for math.

This is my second time taking Mrs. Bowers. She is so helpful and really takes the time to explain things in a way that's easy to understand. There is a lot of homework which turns out to be good because the repetition helps you remember how to solve a problem. She gives a lot of extra credit. Incredibly inspiring and exceptionally rare teacher.

Bowers is a great teacher, very clear on the material, tries to show you shortcuts, and always willing to explain until you understand. I took her for summer, four evenings a week. There's a fair amount of homework, and 4-5 tests in those 8 weeks. I would definitely recommend her, esp if you struggle with math. I'll be looking for her for Math 070.

Bowers is a great teacher. She tries to explain things in a way that will be most understood, and will go over it until you do. I took her for summer semester. There is quite a bit of homework, and about 5 tests. If you do the homework you will understand the tests, and therefore pass the class. I'll be looking for her for all my math classes.

Bowers is definitely a teacher that wants to help you pass, but if you're not good at math take someone a little easier. Her tests are half the grade and she will dock points for anything and everything! No multiple choice whatsoever. She will write examples on the board; but will continue the lecture if you don't say you need help! So say it!

Professor Bowers is an excellent professor, and is very lenient as well as open-minded. If you're slow on the subject of math, she'll do the best she can to help you- but do remember, she is on a schedule and must move on accordingly. As far as grading she's lenient (only if you know what you're doing). Kids in the back talk and flunk out, 8.7/10.

I understand math, thanks to her thorough lectures, her goal is to make sure you understand, always available for help, and most definitely take her for all my math courses!! Recommend!!

Professor Bowers is the best math instructor at AVC, no lie. She takes the time to explain any material you don't understand, so you can do your best on the tests. Wish she taught statistics too!

Makes you work for it. No extra credit. It is what it is. Be there she does give you points for being there. She's sweet, but should lighten up a bit. Great teacher ! And loves math.

Her lectures are fast paced but understandable, she answers all questions and is very nice. she cracks a few jokes here and there which is pretty funny. Her test are pretty easy. The homework is online even though its a lot its easy and gets done quickly

Professor Bowers enjoys teaching and wants you to succeed. Lectures well, If you read over the chapters before class, take good notes, and follow up with your homework, you should do well. Do the practice tests at the end of each chapter (good study guides) ask questions if needed. Do all the take home quizzes and assignments, every point helps.

Get ready to do tons of homework! She gives extra credit opportunities every homework assignment which helped me pass the class. Gentlemen, she is good looking ;)

AMAZING professor! Took her online class. there are 3 tests and final. Tests can be rescheduled which helps a lot. she answers her emails right away. All homework on MYMATHLAB which i likked, post reviews like a week before test, and test questions are pretty similar to review. So do the homework, review, and it's an easy pass!

As much as I don't like math, Prof. Bowers makes it easy to understand. Her lectures are clear, and grading is fair. And she gives extra credit a lot. Very helpful and nice professor overall.

The subject is hard by itself, but this teacher makes it understandable. She will make you work for it, be prepared for lots of homework, but if you do it, it really helps. I didn't do my homework at first (and was almost failing), then started catching up, and got a B at the end. Ms Bowers is very helpful, but you do need to do your part

When a teacher is passionate about their work it reflects the way they teach. She loves math and explains it well. I never understood math before taking her class. I went from a failing math student to earning an A, her notes, homework, advice, all play a role in your success. She actually cares and wants to see you succeed which is rare nowadays.

Great professor! Explains material well, and available after class if I had any questions. I learn to make better notes in her class! Keeping my notes for future in case I need it later. She is also very organized and detailed, it helps a lot.

I took 65 online with her, and now taking 70. Prof. bowers is very clear with her expectations, and easy to follow. All homework online, we met 3 times for test, and final. AND you can reschedule test day if you can't come that day! Her tests looks like the reviews she gives before each test.

I love Mrs. Bowers so much! I took her managing Math Anxiety class & so glad I did! It was not just for math anxiety but it will be helpful for my whole college career! Hand down the best math professor I had so far! She is so patient, answered every question i had. taking her for stats too in fall. Easy to follow, very organized. Just do your homework and test reviews, there extra credit and you'll pass easily

Prof. Bowers is an amazing teacher. She wants her students succeed, she is super nice and she cares about her students. I took 102 and 115 with her and would take more classes if I needed more math classes. Take her, you won't regret!

Ms. Bowers is passionate about making sure students learn. The materials she provided for my statistics course were plentiful, to say the least; she's super organized in such a way that there's always something students can reference or go to when they're confused. Participation is strongly encouraged, so you should take opportunities when you can.

I took her Spring 2020 for statistics. She gave a lot of homework but it was doable. She transitioned well to online during the pandemic. She made herself available to help which was very nice. She knows the material and gives good examples. Statistics is somewhat a hard class, but she made it manageable. I ended with an A in the class.

The good thing about this Professor is she makes amazing videos on each section and with each video you can complete the homework, and tests no problem. The bad is that she doesnt prepare for lectures so her lectures arnt worth going to, and she rushed towards the end making us learn new material the last week instead of preparing for the final.

Professor Bowers is so incredibly kind so you won't regret taking her. You can tell she truly cares about her students. Although there is a lot of homework, it helps you with the tests.

When I tell you I hate how everyone is complaining how this professor "sets you up for failure". I took this professor my first semester and I cannot stress enough how flexible she is. Ms. Bowers is very understanding and lenient with the due dates, you just need to ask her. She said she would not reschedule but when I explained that I had a family emergency she moved the dates for me. She is very supportive and wants you to pass the class. Just talk to her if you have difficulties understanding.

Prof Bowers was really nice and the class was well set up. Lots of work outside of class but it's to be expected. I did think the website we used to do homework was a little irritating, because you have to be really specific when answering, but otherwise the class was pretty easy. Also lots of in collaboration which was hard for an online class.

She really does care about you doing well - lots of extra credit. You have several attempts to take quizzes. Her lectures are easy to follow and the text book she uses is very good. The homework assignments walk you through how to complete the math problems. If you don't consider yourself a math person, you should take Professor Bowers!

Professor . Bowers is an amazing statistics teacher and she cares about her students as well as teaching be prepared there is lots of homework every day as well as notes my math lab truly helps you solve the problem and so does her YouTube videos she shows you also if you just ask her a question she is more than glad to help . Best math teacher !!

I took her online. Her YouTube lectures were 10-20 mins. The homework had a step-by-step example of how to solve each problem. She does not mark you late for turning in assignments after the due date. Sometimes there is too much work assigned for the week, and some quizzes are up to 30 questions, but you can retake it up to 10 times.

She makes her own videos to teach the class which were helpful but sometimes those videos didn't go over a specific topic that was needed for exams which left me going through youtube to teach myself. The online projects were tedious and there was a lot of things to be graded on (like 80 assignments). Overall your grade is based on your effort.

I took this class online during the summer. Prof Bowers is very caring and understanding, she listens to her students and makes adjustments with assignments if needed. She will respond to emails almost immediately. Her group projects really teach you a lot. Midterms and Final are proctored and timed, she gives you chances to take again. Love her!

Prof. Bowers was very supportive and quickly responded to emails. Her active Q&A forum and helpful projects made concepts clear. Canvas was well-organized. Stay on top of deadlines! She wants you to succeed and does what she can to support you. Overall, she's one of the most caring and involved professors I've had in an online class.

There is a lot of homework, I had her online and it wasn't a zoom class but we did have to do a couple mandatory zoom classes. She is very sweet tho. It is a note heavy class, and is very particular when grading, do it online if you can!
