Professor Sofyan is awesome! I took him for Macro and Micro. 3 or 4 Tests, and about 1 homework assignment each week. There is a project in 2023. Book is helpful but not required. Would recommend to anyone. He doesn't like it when you miss class, all class is a lecture. Very cool guy.

LOVE this Prof. After ea. chapter, expect a "test" (really just hw-get 3 chances for highest grade). Participation points during class or if go see during office hours. Don't be late tho- hates tardiness. If you need help (like I did half-way thru), don't be afraid to go to his office bc he is always willing to help out a student. Would take again!

He is very nice, but gets really mad if you disrespect him. For example, do not answer phone calls even if you walk out the classroom. Do not be late. He gives extra credit if you dont miss any class. He loves you if you speak in class. Every exam is made up of homework questions.

Good professor, will help you if you ask. Homework every week, 3 exams and a moderately difficult project. Overall if you work toward a good grade he will help you. He knows a substantial amount on Economics.

THIS CLASS IS SO HARD!! On top of it being hard HE TRICKS students with DIFFICULT questions & MAKES HIS EXAMS almost impossible for students to pass! I don't even understand Y he would do that! Anyways, DO NOT TAKE HIM! If your content with STUDYING HARD & getting a D or C then take him! He is very nice and helpful but his class misrepresents him!

Dr. Sofyan is such an amazing professor!! He is so well respected, and truly cares about his students education! The material was very difficult, so it does require a lot of studying but his lectures are very detailed and helpful. Don't expect this to be an easy A' but expect a very kind and determined professor who is willing to help you anytime!!

Professor Azaizeh was such a great professor. There was hw like every week, each about 40 questions. The exams are about 45-50 questions. They can be VERY tough if you do not study. 1 week in advance you should start reviewing for his exams. His office hours are flexible and he's really able to explain anything to you if you need it. Attend class!

Sofyan is a passionate teacher. He really wants everyone to understand and will help. Utilize the office hours! He's so nice, and helpful and truly cares about your understanding. You MUST participate in this class, it's part of your grade.

Great prof, he taught from powerpoint: the student still has the choice to buy the book or not (I didnt and I saved $200) but I think its not needed. He likes participation so if youre one of those students, study the powerpoints he uploads on Bb. Homework is manageable, talk to him if you have sched probs, he seems to be understanding

The subject itself isn't all that interesting. However, he does try to make it interesting and it shows that he loves economics. The homework is online and you can take it up to three times. He is really nice and honestly cares about his students.

He's such a nice professor and he really has a passion for economics so it's easy to listen during lectures. Teaches through power-point and he hinted that you don't need the textbook, which you don't. Three exams, homework for every chapter. STUDY STUDY STUDY! The exams are a little hard. He is always willing to explain until you understand.

He's a really great professor just make sure you attend class and pay attention to his lectures. The quizzes are very identical to the tests so ask questions and study and it will be an easy A.

Sofyan is such an amazing professor! He is such a sweet and caring professor. His class is super easy if you just pay attention to the power points in class and do well on the hw just as you would do on a test. Learned alot in his class! Definitely would recommend and take again!

He genuinely wants his students to succeed, not just in school, but also in the real world. I'm hesitant to say that he lectures because he makes them light-hearted (it doesn't feel like a lecture). He only gives a few tests which are based directly off of the notes and homework. The only time I've seen him frustrated is when someone had a phone.

He's very passionate about his teaching and I learned alot from his lectures. Doing the homework also recaps what he said in class and there are pop quizzes about the last chapter discussed so be prepared for those. There are a few exams and a final at the end.

He is an excellent teacher in economics. To pass his test, read over the PowerPoint and look over the homework because they actually help. Ive gotten high Bs on his test. Its not really a pop quiz because he tells you when it is. Homework and assignments are easy. Participate a lot in class. Dont need your textbook. Study hard and good luck!

The key to his classes is participation. Ask questions if needed. No textbook necessary so that saves you some $200. Do the hw and use up all three chances, that is basically your whole grade and the exam questions are almost exactly like the hw ques. Great prof but if ure a boring student this would be a boring class.

Your grade in this class is based off of the homework's and tests. You get 3 chances to get your hw right and there is no need to buy a textbook. All classes are lecture classes but I would recommend asking questions and participating. Professor Sofyan is a great professor. Tests are similar to the homework's too!

This professor is SUPER caring and understanding! Participation definitely matters. If you enjoy listening to lectures, this is the class for you. Gets a bit hard to focus and the students tend to fall asleep but it's a pretty easy class. Test questions come from the homework.

Professor Sofyan is a very good instructor, he teaches well with a bit of an accent( not too hard to get over) and genuinely wants his students to do well. You should try to make every single class, pay attention, and take good notes. make sure to do your homework early because if you have questions he has very good office hours and loves to help.

This class was very easy for me because everything that was in the homework was taught by him in his lectures. There is homework on every chapter we cover but it's easy. He does have a strong accent but you can hear clearly what he speaks. If you love economics he is the teacher for you because he loves to teach. One thing you should do is listen.

He's very efficient at what he does. He knows how to teach a very condensed subject; however, he teaches with powerpoints for every class. It's nice, yes, but this means the lights are always off. His voice is mellow, so it becomes easy for people (not just me) to fall asleep in his class. It's important to pay attention, otherwise you won't get it

The class is very boring because of the material, nothing against the professor. He explains things so well though that he over explains and you'll probably zone out. He lectures on slides and you do a 40 question homework every week thats all on quizlet. If you cheat you're gonna have to study your ass off for the exam.

Professor Azaizeh has been one of my favorite professors of all time. He has such a deep understanding of economics and explains it amazingly. It can be a lot to tackle, but he makes sure to explain concepts in a manner that makes them easiest to understand. He's incredibly funny and very kind and I would absolutely take him again.

Study hard for the exams, as you have to recall specific written answers and know how to solve certain math problems. Participation is a grade, but you just have to speak up in class and show up to his office hours and you're all set. Do all your homework on time, too, and you'll pass with a good grade!

He is such a sweet professor. His work is difficult and his lectures tend to get confusing, but he does his best and really cares for his students. He offers extra credit but you still need to work hard and do well in class. As long as you take notes, do the work, don't goof off, and pay attention, you'll pass.

I've taken a few econ classes throughout high school and college & can say without a doubt that Prof. Azaizeh is the best econ prof I've ever had. He genuinely loves the subject & wants you to understand & love it too. I had him for lecture but switched online because of corona and he was super accommodating and wanted to help us however he could.

DR. Sofyan was a great professor! I took his economics class online as elective credit and he does not require much. Discussions are easy, his work was always due on a Monday which was very convenient for me because I was taking 3 other classes on top of his, so it made it very easy to turn in work on time. I would take his class again!

While I have not finished the class yet as we still have the final exam left to go. Let me start by saying this class was difficult for everyone as it was Live-online class with Lectures you most definitely needed to attend. Professor Azaizeh cares about his students and is willing to help them pass if they want to pass. I can't wait for ECO2013.

I took this professor for macro and he was pretty good. His tests are very hard if you don't understand the basic concepts. If you don't do well on the tests your grade will suffer. my main positive with him is that he is caring and wants his students to do well.

Pay attention to the lectures as there is a lot of crucial information given. If you are taking this course as a live-online; it is required to turn your camera on for tests and and regular classes.

Challenging course but great professor to help you overcome obstacles.

Easy class. All you have to do is read the module work and do quizzes/homework every week. Super helpful professor and will answer quickly to emails.

During the lectures make sure to take notes. There were not a lot of tests but they were worth a lot and if you work hard and participate you will pass.

This was my favorite class this semester. Professor Azaizeh is very good at teaching and I would recommend taking his class. The home-works are all online and are very easy. There are only 3 tests and if you review all the homework and practice questions, its the same questions on the tests, so you'll pass with no doubt.

You can tell he really cares about his students and wants us to do well. Exams are a bit difficult and doesn't give review, so you have to study your notes and homework. Assignments and homework are easy and help balance your grade if you don't do well on exams. Must participate cause he gives participation grade at end of semester. Really nice guy

3.5, but I can only do a 4. After I rented a textbook and took notes on each chapter as much as I could before classes, I found the lectures to be more supplementary instead. The practice questions are mostly based on the textbook, so having the textbook for that really helped me. Not required, BUT I HIGHLY recommend the textbook if you can get it.

The class is simply set up and helps you succeed. Each week there is module on a reading chapter, with a practice homework, quiz, excel assignment, and discussion. There are 2 major tests and a final for about half the grade as well.

There's 3 assignments each week that include an excel assignment, a practice that can be repeated as many times as you want, and a quiz that you're able to repeat three times. There's also two tests and a final that make up majority of your grade. It can be a little boring, but as long as you attend lectures and do the work the class is an easy A.

This professor wants you to participate and ask questions! The good thing is, if you're wrong he won't scold you for it. All you do is come to class on time, take notes, ask and answer questions. If you're good at taking notes and listening for long periods of time, take his class. There is 3 tests, Exam 1, Exam 2, and final exam. Goodluck!

I took this class face to face. He is a really nice guy and I had no problems. He will read off the slides but he will go in depth and explain the concept very well. The only thing I can say is that you HAVE to pass the exams to pass the class. You also have participate and ask questions as that is graded. Otherwise its not to bad if you study.

He's very strict when it comes to exams and it wasn't enough time for them other than that he's alright I ended with B

Took both ECO2013 and ECO2023 with Prof. Azaizeh. He is very knowledgeable about what he teaches! He's always happy to help if you have any questions. The class itself can get boring, but it is not too difficult. For the exams, doing the practice/quizzes and reading over the textbook is a huge help. Everything is structured clearly on the syllabus.

There was 3 things due every week but if you took good notes and paid attention when he went into FRED or BLS you would get good grades on all of them. Participation matters so just ask the questions you have, he does go on tangents whenever people don't participate but he was really nice and super easy to contact through his office hours

I took Microeconomics online, but I think it's best to take it in person. Dr. Azaizeh is a passionate professor and wants you to learn. In my opinion, don't let bad reviews deter you. The class is manageable and it's what you make of it. If you don't understand something, reach out to him. I would take him again, but in person for his lectures.

Very good professor and very humble person. He has a very real passion for economics and is super eager to talk about it outside of class if you come to his office hours. You can literally just ask him questions on any economic subject in his office and he will give you a harvard-level lecture/answer to your question. Best professor in his dept.
