Soheil (Sol) is a great instructor. He gets flustered at times, but that adds to his charm. He conveys concepts quite clearly and does so in an entertaining matter, which keeps the students engaged. I enjoyed his focused, lecture-like discussion sections in which he further developed concepts from lecture.

Soheil is really helpful in discussion. He makes sure that everyone is on the same page with the material gone over in lecture, which is awesome because the it is sometimes hard to understand with the professor. His teaching style is clear and concise, making stats much easier to keep up with.

He is the only reason that I am passing Statistics 371. I barely understood the material in lectures, but in discussions, Soheil re-teaches the material in a clear and understandable way. His teaching style is exactly what I need for the class. He not only makes the homework comprehensible, but also reinforces the material that we learn in lecture.

Sol is a great TA. He lectures during discussion, which I find to be a lot more helpful than if we were to just work on problems in groups. Sol goes over key concepts from the lectures and gives detailed examples for each concept. He always makes sure that no one gets left behind and is happy to answer any question that you may have.

He's much easier to understand than the professor, easier to talk to, and answers questions in a much more precise and accurate manner. I prefer when Soheil lectures to us as an entire class.

The way he is teaching through lecture is the way I prefer the teaching to occur. I do not understand why schools and businesses are so focused on extroverted work through groups. There are kids that are introverts.

Without Sol, I would have no idea what is going on in this class. Sol held a review session the week before our exam and I understood more about statistics in that hour than I have this whole semester. I like that he lectures in discussion because he gives good explanations and examples and answers any questions that we have.

Sol is great. Not only is he hilarious and entertaining, he lectures us during discussion which is much more useful in this type of class than just working on group problem sets. His teaching style is different but effective.

Sol does a great job of clarifying stats by formatting our discussions to be like lectures. The actual lectures are extremely confusing and hard to follow, and but for Sol's discussions I would probably be failing this course, no exaggeration.

The actual professor for the class is not very clear in terms of organizing the concepts and examples. This TA helps a lot in discussion restating concepts and methods of solving problems. And he teaches fast, which I prefer.

The professor that runs lectures does not explain the content clear and it is hard to learn anything. Hence, in discussion we ask him to lecture more so we can understand the content and he does this very well, so discussions are really productive!

Soheil (Sol) is an amazing TA. The professor is not very clear on a lot of topics and Sol is able to clarify everything. Sol's style of teaching is lecture-based and this is much more successful than doing problems in small groups as we do not learn enough from lecture to do full problems on our own. He is very understanding and honest with us.

As a TA, Soheil (Sol) does everything to help the students understand the material from lectures. His discussions are set up more as a lecture style so that everything from big concepts to specific questions are answered. I personally go to his office hours multiple times a week as he explains the material that just isn't learned by the lectures.

Soheil is a fantastic TA. Without him I would be lost in this class! He makes problems and concepts that seem impossible to understand in lecture, super easy and clear in a matter of seconds in the discussion portion.

Sol is one of the best TA's I have ever had all throughout my college career. Even though he does not follow the standard discussion format, I find that him reteaching the material from the lecture during discussion allows me to have some clear idea about what is going on in the class. I would definitely recommend him all the way.

The way Sol runs discussion is perfect. After a long, confusing lecture with the actual professor, Sol teaches in a clear and understandable way so that I actually know what I'm doing. I prefer his lecture-style discussions to group work because I wouldn't understand the material without his teaching.

I depend on Soheil to re-explain material that was confusing in lecture. He makes complicated topics extremely easy! The current structure of his discussions have been an integral part of my understanding of course material.

I'm a huge fan of how Soheil teaches during discussion! Considering the material isn't explained the best in lecture, having Soheil teach us the material in discussion makes this class manageable. I'd be so lost without him!

I really like Soheil's way of explaining things. Especially since I have no idea what is going on in lecture with my current professor. He is also very good at getting back to emails, which is a huge help while studying or just with general questions.

Sol does a great job covering the material that the professor doesn't make clear.... so all of it. He's very clear and lays out the things we need to know. If he didn't lecture to us none of the kids in my class would understand.

Sol is a great TA and I enjoy his teaching style. While the discussions he holds are more in a lecture format, there is time for feedback and participation during the class. Personally, I think with the sheer quantity of statistics concepts we need to cover for 371 keeping his discussions as-is would be great.

Soheil does a great job of guiding the class through examples, particularly when our professor isn't as helpful and the class is struggling. The course is very difficult and warrants a proper explanation of how the given formula is relevant to the lesson in the book as a whole in order to achieve proper application on the exam. Sol does this well.

Sol is a fantastic teacher. He taught one exam review lecture, and I feel like I learned more about the topic then than in all the previous classes combined. When he lectured, I felt engaged and interested in STATISTICS. That alone says a lot, but Sol is knowledgeable and relatable, and the way he teaches is how I want to learn.

Sol's lectures are the only worthwhile part of 371. He manages to teach more in 50 minutes than the prof teaches in 2 power lectures.

I really like his teaching style. I never got anything out of discussions where we just do worksheets in groups and the TA gives us solutions. Sol takes the time to make sure we understand what's going on and teaches us the main topics (what we need to know) when the professor goes into really confusing details.

Sol is one of the best TA's I've had for a class of this size. He really cares about his students. I like how he takes the time to lecture during class- having him take the time to explain concepts is extremely helpful and is very beneficial to learning.

The lecture style discussion is what we would like in our discussion classes. We do not want to just sit in groups and work with each other because we do not understand the material without Soheil's help. We would like him to continue the way he is teaching.

While the current professor would be a good instructor if we actually knew the material (he's a good professor, but doesn't seem to realize this is an "intro course"), Soheil helps to clarify what we were "taught", though this usually means he teaches us himself. He is the only reason I haven't dropped this class.

Sol has led his discussion sections in a manner that he reiterates the lecture information back to us with better simplicity and clarity than of the lecture itself. For this reason, he's been tremendous help to the Statistics 371 students, as his preferred teaching method works very well for both him and his students.

You can tell how passionate Sol is about teaching. He pinpoints all the major concepts discussed in lecture during discussion, even if it means doing most of the talking. His explanations are essential for anyone to do well in the class and the only reason I haven't dropped the course.

Soheil Sadeghi is a great TA. The main professor is confusing and hard to understand during lectures, but Soheil makes everything clear in discussion. Although his lecture-style discussion is very helpful, I wish he would give us a problem or two to do with a partner in class.

Leads the discussion section unlike other TAs, but with his natural charisma it works. As far as I can tell students enjoy coming to discussion and feel free to pose questions in a lecture style format. The teaching style of Soheil works incredible well for Stats 371

Sol was my tutor for stats371 & he truly made it possible for me to get the A in the class. I had a hard time following my professor's lectures and Sol did a good job of going back and making sure I was not only able to do the problems but also of making sure I understood the underlying concepts. Great teacher & I would highly recommend!

Sol was my tutor for Stats 302 and he was great. He really cares about his students and was flexible with meeting times. With his help, my grade improved from a BC to an A. He knows what he is talking about and is very clear with his instruction.
