Such a sweet woman. She is MORE THAN FAIR, goes over all homework. Tests get harder as class progresses, but she is always willing to help. Do your homework and you should get an A.

Test are hard, homework is necessary, however she doesnt collect it. Hard to understand some of what she is saying but you will get used to it. If you want to learn take her but if your not serious dont bother.

Easiest class I have ever taken. Based entirely on discussion. Papers are all open topic. Great teacher.

This class is definitely challenging, but not impossible. Shes a really good teacher, who knows her material, but the content of the course is just difficult. Just do your homework and ask questions...she'll love you after that!

I took her class twice. I failed the first time and passed the second. I should have failed both times but she pushed me along. If you ask for help, she'll give it. The class is hard, so a lot of people repeat. Do your work and she won't let you fail.

This teacher is a pretty good one. Although her accent is thick she really will help you if you put forth the effort to do your homework and study.

let me warn u- this class is no walk in the park its a walk through hell. you will struggle, throw your textbook- maybe even cry. this class is not for the weak. she gave me a D (whomp whomp) she has a thick accent. i guess she's a good teacher i dunno, i hated the class...switched my major.

The class in not easy at all. You gonna have to work very hard throughout the semester. I thaught whe was terrible earlier in the semester, but she got lot easy goin as she got to know you better. There is a case study in the class, which is pretty tuff. Exams are easy but, if u study ul so well

Awesome teacher. Wants to see you do well. Takes a while to understand her accent. The material is hard, not the teacher. Whenever you ask her questions, she is willing to help you. You are kind of on your own for the project, although it is a group project- everyone is clueless though.

2nd time taking professor. she's still not easy. regular hmwk assignments, which aren't bad and they do help, but when u'r taking 5-6 other classes, it becomes tedious. she's VERY helpful when to go to her. if u'r going to take her, make sure u stay on top of ur work EVERYDAY. no latenesses or absences. attendance is part of her grading system!!!!

She is not tough teacher at all. I got an A in her class. She only gives two little easy projects, and three easy exams. She only teaches the course materials which comes out in the exams. Focus on excel materials and try to make notes and practice at home. That's how I study for exams. You'll be fine. I had fun in her class. Great Professo

She makes class funny, she is somewhat hard, but if you go to class and do the work, its easy to get a B. You have 3 tests which arent terrible, and 2 projects that are an easy 15 points. If you dont mind going to class i would recommend her

If you compare the book to what she actually teaches you'll realize that the class could be much more difficult than she makes it. Only problem is there's not much room for error with your grade. But overall, don't listen to those other people complaining about her.

Definitely not as bad as people make her out to be. If you listen you should be fine. Shows you step by step how to solve the types of test questions. Repeats the same examples multiple times. Always answers e-mails and is willing to answer questions. The people who complain just aren't putting in the effort.

Fardenesh is awesome and not nearly as bad as everyone makes her seem. You will fail the first test but DONT DROP THE CLASS. Her class is entertaining to say the least.

It has been 3 semesters since I've taken Stat 1, and my knowledge is rusty. In this class it was difficult to catch up, but as long as you seek help, and take clear notes you should be fine. There is no grade curve, but there is opportunity for extra credit. Although if you are a good student you probably won't need it.I'velearned howtoappreciate..

You will fail the first test. The class consists of 3 tests and two similar projects. The first two tests I got under 50% and the first project I got about 60%. I decided not to drop the class and asked her for help as well as other students. It wasn't so much that I learned so much more it was that she saw my initiative and let me end up passing with a c+. she's an excellent teacher. Don't drop her, stick it out and go to her for help, after class. She responds to email very quick.

Fardenesh is misunderstood. She has a good heart and really cares about her students, but just show her some respect and she'll do the same! She is very hard to understand and until I realized her lectures are step-by-step directions of problems on the exams and the projects. Seriously, she will help out, just ask her to slow down or explain again!

One of the best at Towson. She will challenge you every step of the way, but she has an excellent teaching style to help with the challenges. You will learn if you pay attention, and she will be relentless if you are not. Do not hesitate to ask for help, she will not let students fall behind unless they choose to sit silently. Excellent professor. She is biased towards students who raise there hands in class and show interest, not those who surf Facebook during class. Imagine that! ALWAYS available to help. Answered students questions while she was on vacation. Gives extra credit for bringing in groceries for charity! Take good notes, pay attention,earn an easy A!

She is not bad like everyone makes her out to be. Her tests are pretty straightforward and short, so you're not getting a dozen questions. To prepare just replicate the examples that she does in class which is the best study method. The only thing is on tests she looks for ways to take off points so if you're not specific she deducts points.

Don't believe all the negativity. Yes you have to study and do work outside of class, but its an upper level college course. She's extremely helpful and always willing to go out of her way to help her students. What and how she teaches has been helpful for other classes and will be helpful in the long run. I recommend taking her for this class.

I got an "A" from her class, but the class was tough, dont think dat was an easy A, I studied lot. I just missed 2 lectures, almost spend me 1 week to catch up.

When I heard her first day of class introduction, I was worried-- Attendance, "randomly" (barely) collected HW... But what she said rang true: "I'm here for you." She truly wants everyone to not only succeed, but understand the material. Read the chapters, do the assigned problems, and check in with her every once and awhile and you'll be perfect.

She is a great professor. She is so funny when she explains concepts. You should read before class or at least skim the textbook before lectures. If you cannot understand accents you might struggle. She will always help you if you ask!

A lot of people warned me not to take stats with Fardanesh but I did anyway and I'm glad. She's very funny, she's got a thick french accent so paying attention is important because you may miss somethings. There are 4 exams and 2 projects and homework every day she may or may not check so do it anyway. I loved her class.

I needed to get an A in this class and she helped me every step of the way, her office hours alway have people there so it is more like a relaxed study group. She also gives great examples, work hard, pay attention and do the homework as soon as possible.

One of my favorite professors this semester! In the beginning I slacked off and failed the first test but once I went to her office hours she really inspired me to do better and helped me personally with homework problems. Ever since then I have been getting B+ on them!! You have to put effort into the class and do homework every night to do good!!

I absolutely loved this class! All of my classmates seemed to have an issue with her and said it was impossible, but she gives SO much extra credit. You get points on her test for putting your name on it! She goes above and beyond to make sure her students understand and pass, and she really does care about all of her students. Def take this class!

Show up. Listen. Ask questions. Attempt the homework. Go to office hour or email her. Put in the effort. Pass. You meet her halfway and she will do the rest. Great professor.

I emailed her a question Saturday morning and she replied back 20 MINUTES later. She'll happily let you sit in on another section if you had trouble with the lecture. After every class she asks if anyone wants to come to her office hours. She sets A LOT of time for her students and really wants you to do well. Definitely my best professor. A gem :)

I took this class as an incoming freshman, my first exam I nearly failed but by the time I took the final, I was completely prepared and received an A. This is a class you must show up to every lecture, don't hesitate to ask endless questions (I'm not joking), do the homework and take time doing it so you fully understand it, the homework helps!!

OMG! I loved Professor Farsanesh! She is incredibly funny and caring. She may pick on you but it ONLY because she cares about you as a student. And she is happy to have some banter. She really wants you to success and while you will have homework due every day, its not graded and is minimal. She is a fantastic professor truly one of a kind.

I was so scared when coming into this class but, the professor was so helpful. She encourages homework completion that won't be graded, which helps us learn the material better. She also gives great extra credit points. (She says she won't, but she will !). She also encourages tutoring, which helped me do even better in class. Overall, she's great!

Professor Fardanesh is an excellent mentor. She wants to see her students succeed above all else. Communicate with her, and she will help with any difficulties you are having with the coursework. It is highly recommended that you don't miss class as all info presented in lecture will be near 1:1 with assignments and assessments.

It is definitely not an easy class, but if you actually put in the work, you will do very well in it. You get fantastic feedback from your professor after an exam, and she really helps you prepare for the final. Definitley cares about your success!

Professor Fardanesh was a great professor. I took Econ 205, though the class was tough, she was very helpful with any questions or concerns I had. Her grading criteria was clear so I was able to anticipate my grade if I scored low on exams. If you come to class and strive to learn the material you will do well!

Yes english is her 3rd? I think language, but considering her English is really solid and she is low-key very funny once you start to understand her ridiculous metaphors. If you do the few nongraded HW Q's she asks you to do between classes, it helps reinforce the material tremendously. Really cares about her students and can be very fun.

You could email her a question at any time in the evening and she would always help. Also her jokes are funny cause of how random it could be. You should make an effort to do the homework cause it helps a lot and at the beginning of the semester the first exam is easy way to get points.

For the semester we had 3 assignments (easy 100 as long as you did them), four exams, and homework assigned every class but they weren't graded. The class isn't easy so you're going to have to put in the time outside of class. Attendance wasn't a grade but you will want to go to class because she goes over exactly what will be on exams.

Prof. Fardanesh is a engaging lecturer. The class isn't easy, but attending and doing the homework really pays off. Unstuckstudy was a great study tool alongside the textbook.

The best. Take her if you have the chance. Homework is basic and tests are graded on less points than there are questions, so you always have a chance at some extra points. Definitely don't be afraid to speak up, she loves when everyone is engaged in conversations. Take her!

Biggest exam was 18 multiple choice questions. About 4 or so homework assignments that can be super simple. Overall easy class with many extra credit opportunities.

By far my favorite professor. She is very knowledgeable about micro and made sure everyone in our class understood the material. She offered many extra credit opportunities which definitely helps if you get subpar grades on the exams. She had a lenient homework policy and her exams weren't very long, never going past 23 questions.

Professor Kahkashan is nothing like the reviews say she's, kind, funny, and makes stats easy to understand.She offers lots of extra credit and is fair/understanding. I'm sad I won't have her again. MAKE FRIENDS OR GET ACQUAINTED to the people you sit next to or are in your class!!! This isn't an easy course by any means but if you work hard it'll make it more bearable.
