I have taken this teacher for MAT 0024, MAC 1033, and MAC 1105. He is a very good teacher and his tests are fairly easy, because he gives you partial credit for showing your work.If you pay attention and do your homework, you should be able to get an A in his course.He is always willing to help.

Great teacher don't let the hard last name fool you, very clear and easy to understand. Helps students even on his off hours. No need to ask questions because everything is so clear . The only hard part of his class is the State Exit Exam but he prepares you. No calculators are allowed on Tests.

This was my first class online and I have to say it was tough because you pretty much are teaching yourself the material. It required more time than what I had expected, but it was good. I thought the professor was very good and I would recommend him. He always answered my emails very promptly and gave good direction! Thumbs up from me!

Prof B is a great math prof & I would highly recommend him. I took it online with the Personal Academic Notebook. Between the PAN, the IM program disks, & emailing him, I didn't need to spend ANY time with the math tutors on campus! This was after not having Algebra for 31 years! He's also willing to help u in person, but I didn't need him to.

Mr.B is a great teacher. If you have questions just ask him and he will answer them. He's really nice but has a monotone voice that might make you sleepy but just take notes and that should keep you up. oh and he writes really neat on the board, not all sloppy like most teachers.

He's a great teacher he does move fast but if you ask him for help he will help you. I took him for 0012, 1033, and now I am taking him this summer for MAC1105. Took online. E-mailed him once and he got back to me the next day. No interaction with class. The online math program worked fine for me. No awful programs to download. It's all on the website. Once, I missed the deadline for a midweek test, and I begged him to let me take it so I wouldnt ruin my grade and he let me. That was awesome.

I took his online course for the fall semester, and he was wonderful! He's very easy to understand, was more than willing to work out a problem step by step through e-mail if I didn't understand, and overall just a pleasure to communicate with! He's very friendly and understanding; I almost wish I had taken his course on campus!

Took him for two courses and easily passed without much studying. Quizzes given to help out the overall grade right from the homework. Good speed through the material. Finals are VERY DIFFICULT. Tests are easy if you use the study guides to study. Very understanding and planning to take him again for Calc in the fall 2010.

Professor B is great! he teaches at a great pace and is gives practice test to help you with the test. He drops the lowest grade and gives approximately 2 quizzes per chapter straight from the homework. I hate math and I'm doing good in the class!

I hate math, took this class online and i am suprised to find how well im doing, really high B. I've already failed this class once as a lecture. There is a lot of work but you use this online program that teaches you every step. Tests are well spaced out and prof is flexible with dates if you need to get help or more time.

Prof. Bakhtyari is very through he explains the subject matter as much as you need him to and he explains all of the steps. His notes are very easy to study by and normally his explanations are better than the book. I also used the books website for help:InteractMath.com- Sample problems. At first the class can seem overwhelming... Don't give up!

Professor B is the greatest math professor I've ever had! He really takes his time to make sure the students understand, NEVER rushes through the material, & gives a review before each test. He goes over ANY & EVERY question/problem you have. He has a very positive attitude & gives you partial credit for showing any work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Regardless of the professor, Applied Calculus is going to take some work. I recommend taking Prof. B. His coursework is organized in a way that if you complete what is assigned you will know the material for the exams.

AWESOME PROFESSOR! Took online this summer and couldnt have asked for a better professor. Plato teaches you everything you ned to know, you have 4 tests with reviews first so no need to fail! Study the final review and you are guaranteed an "A+" on the final.

Took elementary stats online. I have no interested in math at all and not very good at it. Recieved a B. It involves software work and quizzes. No turned in homework but doing the assignments helps you pass the quizzes. Some concepts are hard and some are super easy. Midterm was simple but final exam was harder. Would recommend.

I had to take college algebra 2x. The 2nd time, I was lucky enough to have taken Dr B. He is patient. He works every problem if you ask him to. His reviews are identical to the tests- he just changes the numbers in the problems. I got an "A" because of him. Its been 10 yrs since I graduated and I still regard Dr.B as my favorite professor.

Took business calc with him. A challenging class, but he is a very good teacher and will answer all questions clearly. The test and quiz questions come right out of the homework sooo DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Not mandatory, but recommended. Overall nice guy, highly recommended teacher

First half of the class is hard. But the second half is all redemption, for the test on the final chapters, he let us use the book and work with a partner. The second to last test was take home. Make sure you are there every class day because he likes to pop surprise quizzes. Started with a D in the class, ended with a B due to the easy final tests

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. He is really nice and helpful. 5 quizzes and 4 tests, drop the lowest grade. He explains really well. He also review all lessons before each test, and a final review for the final. For the tests and the final exam, he puts a folder on angel for a review for each chapter which pretty much the same thing as the test.

If you show up to class you have no reason to not pass with flying colors. i have failed college algebra twice from not showing up, and having him as such a good teacher made me pass with an A. Great teacher and guy but the tests are unbelievably hard. The questions put on the test are the hardest ones possible. Would study for hours before and it wouldn't help. Got a 94 on first test, 79 on the 2nd, 64 on the 3rd, and so on. Great, intelligent teacher, but be prepared to get annihilated by his tests.

This was such an easy course! There were only two things the entire semester that I didn't already know from high school. The homework is optional which is awesome! Also, I missed a good number of classes and it did not effect me.

I didn't really ask him for help much, but when I did ask a few questions he was pretty quick to respond and was clear. The class was pretty easy and straightforward. Do your homework every week, quizzes, study the review thoroughly, and you're almost guaranteed to pass if you had put an honest effort in.

I tookMr. B for three courses during my time at SPC (intermediate algebra, college algebra, and calc) I would recommend him for all of these classes, however, DO NOT take calc over the summer. It is nearly impossible. On test days- you'll take your test then be stuck in there for an additional lecture. Great teacher in fall/spring! Learned a TON!!

The material is taught in a clear manner. He gave us few tests and several quizzes for the majority of our grade. Final is worth 30% of your final grade so you will need to study. I went to the learning support center to get extra help on assigned (but not graded) homework problems. This helped me understand the Tests.

-I have taken professor B three times now. I am very familiar with his grading. He is straight forward and definitely not an easy grade. Would take him again. -Very responsive on emails especially when your up late at 11 pm. Does most of his responses then. -Expects a lot of work and effort from you.

First time college student. Math was always my worst subject in High School, but Professor B got me to look at things from different angles and approaches and really helped me through a lot of hangups that held me back. Glad to be taking him again next term.

There was homework that was assigned, but was always optional, and out of the textbook. No MyMathLab. He taught the material and always answered questions thoroughly. There were quizzes every few sections and tests on every chapter, but nothing unmanageable. He seemed to have little personality but sometimes says quirky unexpected things.

This class was very easy. Everything was pretty straight forward. There was a chapter/video assigned with each lesson. I didn't really read the textbook; just watched the videos. There were hw questions and a quiz in MyMathLab for each module. it was pretty easy; even the exams. Had him online for MAT1033 and I will be taking him again for MAC1105.

Prof. B is a solid choice for College Algebra. If you pay attention to the lectures, and do the homework assignments, you will be well-prepared for the tests.

Professor Sohrab Bakhtyari is a really cool professor who wants his students to succeed. The class isn't always interesting however, if you participate and follow the notes, you should have a nice and easy time in the class. Tests are easier than the quizzess. He's a fair grader and he explains problems very well!

Prof. Bakhtyari is one of the best math profs you can take. He's always prepared to answer any question you have, and will take the time to explain something to you if you don't understand. I took him for MAC 1033 and MAC 1105. There are 4 test. The lowest test score is dropped. Quizzes are known ahead of time, and they're based of HW.

Only test and quizzes are graded, but the test are a lot easier than the quizzes. Most of the time, on test, he'll give half credit if you do the steps correctly. I enjoyed having him as a prof. The class isn't easy, but if you show up, do your hw, and study for test, then you should get a good grade. He's willing to help students outside of class.

I took professor Bakhtyari for intermediate algebra and college algebra, and I received an A in both courses. He cares about his students and how they are doing, and does an outstanding job teaching the material. I was never good at math, and he really made me succeed and understand everything.

Very simple class. You have your assignments for the week- quizzes for each section and quiz on that part of the chapter. Usually, it's all due on monday 8 am. Super simple. I won't say whether its an easy or hard class because that depends how good you are at math but the tools are there to succeed. It's basically like high school Algebra 2

Homework not graded. Your grade solely relies on quizzes, which are only 3 problems, and 4 tests, usually 15 problems. No extra credit. Very straight forward and to the point. Provides clear explanations. DO NOT be afraid to ask questions. Take notes! Not many things are graded, so take the quizzes and tests super seriously.

Great professor! The class is very simple you do the homework you pass. All quizzes and tests are prior homework problems. He explains everything in class and is always open to questions. When you come into class after a homework he takes questions on them. He is a great professor and the key is to do the homework and attend class.

Took his online class, so I did not have much contact with him. However, I was pleasantly surprised when he offered to let us redo assignments we did not do well on. He understands that sometimes students do not have time to study, and he let us make up for it. He is readily accessible and willing to answer any questions.

Very good professor. Everything that he goes over in class is on the tests. Textbook wasn't really used in class, but the online homeworks are very time consuming and challenging. If you concentrate on the lecture material, you will pass all the quizzes and tests. Final is cumulative. The grade I received is due to not doing all homeworks.

I took an online college algebra class with him and it was really reasonable. He primarily used mymathlab and also supplementary material in mycourses. When I felt mathlab had marked questions wrong unfairly, he changed the grade for the better. I'm not good at math but he made the class pretty doable IMO. Final was really hard.

There is a lot of homework, but I took an accelerated version of his class so it may not be the same for the longer version of it. He is caring and answers emails quickly. I appreciate that we weren't really required to participate in class discussions like many other online classes. It was a very straightforward math class. Definitely recommend!!

MrB is a great teacher he is elaborate when he is teaching the information. The notes are very easy to follow and after every example he asks if anyone has a question. Professor B was a great Professor. Gives clear lectures and is always happy to slow down and answer questions. The tests are fair. He provides the tools to help you get the best grades possible. Calculus is a tricky subject and he is aware of it. I would highly recommend this professor.

This class is an easy A, there is no mid-term but a final exam with your camera on. This professor is very caring, he gave you three attempts for weekly quizzes and make sure you pay attention to the video lectures and practice. You have to try real hard to fail this class and he always send reminders to everyone for submitting their homework.

Professor Bakhtyari explains everything very well and makes sure throughout the lectures that you understand what he is explaining. He shows us the problems, works it out with us, then gives us ones to do on our own. Hes laid back and explains everything well.

If you are good at math taking this class, he teaches based on examples, but I stopped going to class due to personal issues so that contributes to my grade besides that he's actually a very wonderful professor, I'm just bad at math

His class is easy as long as you do the work and pay attention to his lectures. He spends time in class to make sure he conveys the information in a way that is easy to understand. The homework helps you learn as well. The only scary part of the class is the final exam which must be taken using honorlock which can be a bit invasive.

Took three classes with him and would've taken more if he offered the ones I needed. I took intermediate algebra, college algebra, and precalc with him, earned an A in each. He requires participation, likes questions, is thorough with answering questions, is clear with due dates, and answers emails fairly quickly. His accent is easy to understand.

I took this class self paced online. While the professor was very helpful to answer any questions I had, majority of the learning is done via Pearson. That is okay, although the final was created by the professor I assume as it was extremely hard. Luckily it was multiple choice, still extremely hard. Good professor, hard class I guess.

Look up the syllabus! Tests (2) were hard so make SURE u do well on them. The final was proctored, multiple choice, and the IN CLASS review is the ONE to review for it. Do not skip it and u will do well on it. Know your derivatives basically for the whole class and ya good.
