2/26/21 Here. Tx had that snowstorm and lots of people lost power and water for days. Due to this circumstance, multiple students began to email him asking to push back the test & quiz. Instead of giving us a yes or no he either ignore our messages or began to beat around the bush. His behavior at this time was very insensitive. Online Student.

He tries to help students but his overall approach is not working to create a learning environment.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! I took him for his good reviews and oh God i dont trust RMP anymore. 4 tests and one final which are extremely difficult. he laughs at you when you ask him something. webassign homework for every section along with LDB quizzes and LDB worksheets. DOEST NOT DROP ANYTHING!!! DON'T TAKE HIM!!!

I am a straight A student when it comes to math in high school. I took several math courses at HCC and got all A. However, this professor will make sure that you will never get an A in this class or even B. This is my first time I take Calculus 1 and it is not the right choice to take it with this professor. I had to drop it because it was too much

I am so close dropping from his class. There is NO WAY getting an 'A' in his class. He will have a lot of questions on a test within a short time frame. Just like the other reviews said, his real reviews are from Michigan University with 2.8/5. Please avoid getting scammed

First time taking professor Solomon for calculus3. Horrible experience. The average class grade on the first test was 59%. The review test was easy but the actual test was way harder. We all talked to him for a curve and he didn't agree. Half of the class dropped because they didn't want to risk their GPA

Do not take this professor if you want a good GPA. Even when you completely explain everything on tests, he will find a way to take points off on the free response. And the other 5-star reviews seem pretty sus.

He does not care about his students and whenever we try to tell him about our concerns, he laughs and does not do anything. His tests are very long with a short time period and he puts questions that take a long time to do on there, it is impossible to finish in the time limit.

Avoid this professor. Very rude and not helpful to students. I regret every dollar I spent on this professor. He will try and fail you and make every test harder than the previous one with less time limit. I will definitely make sure that none of my friends take him. This professor is the most hard-headed, stubborn, and overall impersonal jerk I've ever had. I was arguing with him over a particular test grade, which he gave me 1.5/3 for a correct answer on a problem, and only said that my proof wasn't a "good proof" because of an equals sign or missing "dx"

Just like the other students, I was also scammed by his ratings. I do not recommend him at all. He is not nice and will bring the hardest questions on a test.

I am about to lose my financial aid and my scholarship because of him. I think he likes to see students suffer, but karma is real!

Please do not take this professor. Lost of quizzes with only ONE attempt with LBD + Webcam. HW worksheet that he would assign in 2 days and gives you the hardest questions. Exams do do not match the reviews or the HW. He always messes up in the lectures and make mistakes. Overall I highly do not recommend this jerk

He thinks that all students are stupid. He will treat you like a 10 year old. He doesn't respect you as an adult. Please do not take him as your professor for math because you will immediately drop. I dont have the money to take the class again but otherwise I would have dropped.

Professor Solomon doesn't like to talk with students when they need help regarding a previous exam. I took Calculus II with him and I had to drop after the first exam. The exam doesn't match the reviews and A LOT questions I had to skip since I ran out of time. I am not sure how the math department is not aware of how he grades everything unfairly

Oh my gosh he is the worst teacher I have ever had. He made this class extremely hard, and even though I have a A in it, I worked my ass off for it. You can't understand him at all and he assigns so much homework. If you have to take this class, get a different teacher!!

The worst professor ever for math at HCC. He always assigns exams are are way too long and there is no enough time on them. On Exam2, he felt generous to give us less questions BUT more questions for free response. I was not able to finish 4 questions of the free response. Absolute worst professor ever.

His online lectures are very bad. He makes a lot of mistakes on the lectures and we always have to correct him. I have stopped attending his lectures because I would rather watch Youtube videos that would explain well and without doing mistakes. Please avoid taking his course because he is very rude to students. I would not take him for anything

His newest good review is a red flag. "you will receive a perfect and relaxed semester" this is not a review for a cruise trip. There is no such thing a relaxed semester as a college student. But this professor will take you to HELL instead of a cruise trip. Enjoy the ride

I honestly think that he rate himself on RMP to increase his ratings. All his good reviews are literally worded perfectly like they are written by a professor. WORST PROFESSOR EVER. I had to drop the class cuz can't take this burden anymore. Would take away ur points even the answer is correct. No formula sheet and will laugh at u if u ask for one.

All I want to let you know that this professor is racist! He chooses his "best" students and gives them random points on their exam. Please avoid him and you will save headaches from talking to him because talking to him seems like talking to a rock.

WARNING: It is likely that the professor is boosting his score with fabricated reviews. By no means are any of this professor's courses an easy feat like the false reviews might suggest. Exams are extremely punishing. Do NOT sign up unless you are very proficient in math and need the credit - this professor grades extremely harsh.

I would not recommend taking this professor for Calculus 2. He grades all of the assignments pretty bad, and does not give out curve when the class average is low and terrible. He provides almost "bullying" annotations on our free response questions and doesn't listen to the class when they need to discuss with him exam, he would laugh and moves on

Tests are very difficult and heavy. And a lot of homeworks. I do not recommend this professor.

Do not be too happy to register for his course. Trust me, you cannot focus on your other courses if you take this professor. He will give you LOTS of homeworks, quizzes, and too many exams. I usually rate professors by the end of the semester and I couldn't wait hehehe. He makes the class unnecessarily hard and will always have the wrong answers choices on every single exam. I was not respected in the class at all and that include all the other students in the class too The 4.6/5 rating was a lie so good luck failing if you choose him

Tests are ridiculously long, will nitpick your tests and homework, takes forever to grade assignments, class is not engaging, he makes you do hw with at least 10+ question only to grade the whole assignment from a single question. Would NOT recommend.

Save your GPA! He is such a stubborn jerk and very difficult to talk to. He doesn't care about your opinion and will yell at you if you keep telling him he's wrong with something. All his lectures are 100% wrong and he always messes up. You will lose points if you use a method to solve problems on YouTube because it has to be his way of solving

Regret taking this professor. He was always careless about students. Whenever I join his office hours he would also say "oh just email me" and would have to wait weeks until he replies back to my emails. He doesn't care about students at all. It was a big mistake to take the class online with professor unwilling to help

Took solomon in the fall 2022 and it was the worst decision ever. I was debating between him and other professor and I wish I didn't take solomon. Would not even recommend solomon to my worst enemies. This is how bad he was. Please take math with a better professor

Professor Osifodunrin was not present for the first two weeks of class. When he returned, he tried to explain all of those 2 weeks plus another week in one lecture. He was hard to understand, and he never asked if we had any questions. He would just do example problems instead of actually explaining how to solve things. I dropped out after a month.

He was the only professor for MATH2305 and i had no other choice. He tries to lecture everything at once and rushes between chapter sections. His quizzes are all lockdown browser and with one attempt. Such a stressful professor to take. He has a very accent and hardly understand what he says.

Looking back at the positive review, you can see how fake they are and they were submitted by the professor himself. Save yourself and save your GPA because I had to drop his course. MATH 1314 online anytime. Prof was really slow with emailing back students when they need help. His quizzes are very difficult and sometimes one attempt with lockdown browser with cam. It is very stressful to take his class and he does not care if you have other courses or a full time job.

This man doesn't know the material and doesn't know how to teach. Do not take his class. Unnecessary assignments make this class a joke, you will be asked to write discussions every week and he will grade them low without giving you any feedback. Basically he doesn't even understand the meaning of discussion.

Trash professor. Grades homeworks off technicalities, class is super disorganized, makes you show work for simple things like reducing fractions, assigns random participation grades without telling the class, and allows failing test averages every time with no curve. Would never take this again in my life.

Do not take this class if you value your mental health. He does not curve, when you ask questions he never lets you finish, doesn't respond to emails, goes over questions in an off-brand Zoom called Cisco-Webex that aren't even questions tested over. If you take this class, good luck and be sure you do all the homeworks and discussion board posts.

He is a horrible professor. Homework is nothing like the tests. He doesn't always finish lectures in class and expects you to learn on your own. Extremely difficult to reach and does not respond. Does not answer questions when asked and solves problems in the most difficult way possible.

Review for Linear Algebra: HARD CLASS Cool guy personally, but his lectures at Disappointing and sad. 95% of what I learned was SELF TAUGHT from the Textbook and other sources. TIP: Watch 3Blue1Brown's series "Essence of Linear Algebra"!!! Watch the WHOLE THING. If you can, before the semester. Take notes! THAT SERIES TAUGHT ME 90% of EVERYTHING

Cant even understand him through his thick accent, his lectures are horrible quality and just class recordings from covid, doesn't help at all, your teaching it yourself, all he does is grade and criticize your work. I don't understand how he is allowed to teach.

If you want a caring, respectful and effective professor, then don't take his class. Calculus isn't meant to be easy, but professor O will make it more unbearable than it actually needs to be. His lectures aren't helpful, the online quizzes don't prepare you for the exams, and overall, not a pleasant person to be around.
