som is great! he's funny and keeps the class alive. he's always offering to help improve your grade. overall i would reccomend him in a heartbeat. he's a sweetheart and really cares.
everyone shoud take som. hes a crack up and loves all his students. such a nice man.
had him last semester. chill guy. take his class. hes funny. nice. knows and understands that life isnt always about shool. hes a good guy.
Som is interested in POSC, and he explains the subject rationally. He prompts questions that lead his students to think about the future not just study the past. He is not one sided, he brings in examples from all across the globe to add weight.
legit. take him if you have the chance. offers up to ten percent of your grade in extra-credit. buys pizza and cookies for the class.
AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! TAKE HIS CLASS...HE MADE EVERY CLASS VERY INTERESTING AND HE POST HIS NOTES ONLINE MAKE SURE YOU REVIEW THEM..HE IS ALSO SUPER HELPFUL ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP YOU AND HE IS MORE THEN WILLING TO WORK AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE SO LONG AS YOU WORK HARD AND SHOW EFFORT!! ONE MY FAVORITE PROFESSORS I LEARNED SO MUCH IN HIS CLASS..TAKE HIM
Easy class. He is pretty leniant on assignments. Usually I would just e-mail them late and still get full credit. He's pretty funny but the classes do get boring. I reccomend you take him, pretty easy A. Online quizzes, EASY midterm and a crapload of extra credit...way easy
he's really funny and likes to show the class stuff on youtube. he's very up to date on today's politics and helps the class understand what's going on. grading is easy and lots and lots of extra credit
THE CLASS IS NOT VERY HARD, BUT THERE IS A LOT OF READING; AS A TEACHER HE IS OK; HE CAN BE FUNNY SOMETIMES, BUT HE HAS FAVORITES...HE IS A LITTLE BIASED TOO
very very easy. it's ridiculous how much extra credit he hands out. He definitely makes politics interesting and fun to learn. lets you use a cheat sheet for all the tests. good professor, but he's just a little to lenient on the class. take him, it's an easy A.
TAKE SOM FOR POL100 !!!! its an extremely easy class. i never went and still got an A. he gives you an extreme amoount of extra credit because he wants u to do well!! the midterm and final were extremely simple he gives you a guide of everything thats going to be on them and lets you use a cheat sheet and all the other quizes are online. HES AWESOM
Som made me enjoy politics. There are random quizzes he gives to see who is in class so try and go as often as possible. Dopest Poli Sci teacher!
Som is the best! TAKE HIM. His class was so fun and also so easy. The quizzes are online on beachboard, and for the midterm as well as the final, he let us use a cheatsheet... one piece of paper, front and back. Anything that we could fit on that piece of paper, we could use. There is one research paper, but it's not a big deal. Take this class!
Mon nights drag w/him but he's an okay prof. tries to make class interesting but after 3 hrs ppl zone out. understandable. lends out books so i didn't buy n e. gives online quizes(easy). 1 midterm, 1 final, & research paper that is his fav. i'm a C avg student w/2.5GPA and i'm managing an A- in his class. not too bad
He is the worst professor I have ever had. He does not teach but tells students to choose topics related to the book and teach it to the rest of the class. He is unclear on his assignments making it extremely confusing! His final requires us to write a 5-7pg essay IN CLASS + multiple choice. I do not recommend this teacher at all!!
Contrary to what others are saying, I would highly recommend Som's class. This class is great and he is such an easy professor, he offers a lot of extra credit and gives you a full sheet of notes that you can use on his test, what more could you ask for. His class is extremely easy, just do the work and you will be fine, it really is an easy A!
If you are taking upper division classes, DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! Its like being in Elementary school with all the group work and class activities. He also gives A LOT of group work which is SO unnecessary at a collegiate level. Not a difficult teacher, but too much busy work. I don't think he realizes people have lives outside of his class...
Easy class, chill professor. I went to his office hrs a couple times and we talked sports. Chill guy.
He's nice and helpful. He really tries his best to help you if you know how to ask for help. However, HE GIVES OUT TOO MANY WORKS: quizzes, article summaries and analysis, drafts, etc. It is way too much. I would say I probably could have learned so much more if it weren't for the workload. His class felt like a task, instead of learning.
Som is a really nice guy, but his class was a little overwhelming. Grading was inconsistent and his comments didn't seem to be justified. Expect to read four books in his class while trying to understand the chicken scratch he writes on the board while going in, out, back to, and in between ideas being discussed. Overall, a more challenging capsto
Som's pretty lenient with assignments because he knows you have to do 20 hours, but his teaching is too erratic and unstructured. He promised to give us a quiz but we never got one. Don't rely on him through email, he is HORRIBLE when it comes to responding to emails. I liked the class and I learned a lot about community service orgs. Take him.
Has knowledge, able to explain in a concise manner and compassionate about grades. Take him!
I took his class in the Spring of 2010. I walked into class with both holsters loaded, knowing the material since age 12. What made the class enjoyable for me was the infectious enthusiasm Som has for the the material and his students. His passion for teaching and for the subject can catch on and spread causing a happy, easy learning environment.
Definitely an easy class. A few homework assignments and one essay. No presentation. Final is really easy. Just study the three quizzes he has on beachboard and you will get an A on the final. 50% of the final is based on memorizing the 27 amendments of the constitutions.
sincerely cares about the students. even makes cheesy jokes to make everyone feel at ease at class. take him.
This 5-week class is a joke. Don't attend class b/c you don't learn much. Som is so nice and laid-back that his teaching suffers (lack thereof). Class is an EASY A! HE OFFERS SO MUCH EC that it's ridiculous! There should be no excuses! Read the book on your own. 3 EASY quizzes, 1 BSable paper, voting guide, and 1 EASY final (know amendments).
If you have to take this five week course, take it with this teacher!!!! SOO much extra credit is offered that you would have to try to not get an A. You do learn alot at the same time. He is very charismatic and hilarious. Know the Bill of Rights for the easiest final. Go to class, do the work, and you wll get an A.
I found the lack of discipline annoying. I remember nothing about CA govt and everything about a bunch of know-it-all art and physics majors using discussion as an excuse to parade their intellectual sophistimacation in front of the whole class, sanctioned by an indulgent professor who lets students' smartalecktry get in the way of actual teaching.
hard class. hard midterms and finals. try and take someone else. his teaching style is not for the masses. very CHALLENGING. if youre lazy. you will not pass.
Terrible teacher, lax teaching style, absolute do not recommend.
Not a difficult professor. However, keeping up with the class material will make the class a lot easier (Texts are easy to read). Also, make sure you take care of the service hours and projects that are required for this class.
I absolutely loathed this class because I hate poli sci, but he's really nice and understands college students. He offers a ton of extra credit opportunities. I felt like there was a lot of work, but he's not a hard grader. And my class was mixed with POSC 199ers, so the classes are no different, I guess.
I really dreaded having to take this class. I thought I was done with Gov, but my credits didn't transfer over for the California government requirement. I was hoping for an easy A with no class interaction, but the discussions help for the final. Som makes class entertaining, and he gives a ton of extra credit. Definitely a good teacher.
fun class. spends a lot of time diverging from the topic though.
Too much class time diverging about other things.
Easy A. Tons of extra credit for random things. There's a little work involved, but not much.
Dr. C is okay. Spends a lot of time talking about subject matter not related to the topic and really annoying voice accompanies these diversions. Decent prof, work is easy and class is stupid.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! you need to do 20 hours of community service, midterm and a final, along with various assignments. not at all difficult. he gets off topic sometimes, but his classes are so fun. he's very flexible about things if you speak with him (he emails back ASAP). the class is more about what you can give back to community. TAKE HIM!
On a personal level, I adore this man. He has the biggest heart and is very intelligent. Things like extra credit and terms of projects are negotiable. The man drawback is that his study guides DO NOT match the material on the test. I have a 4.0 and studied for 14 hours for the final and received a 60% on the scantron portion. DO THE READING!
If you want an easy A, take this class. If you want to learn, steer clear. Spends most time talking about community involvement and not teaching the material THAT YOU ARE TESTED ON. I found myself watching Youtube videos more than learning the required material on his unnecessarily complicated exams. If you're a poli sci major, don't waste your tim
Don't take this class if you don't need to. Such a boring class, very unorganized teacher. Tests are hard, nice man but I hated his class.
Class is generally easy. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities as well. I got a B- on the final and still got an A. The class consists of 3 easy beachboard tests (unlimited time, 2 tries), 1 paper, and a written + scantron final (wcheat sheet). If you want to learn in this class, read the book on your own because he doesn't teach.
I'm not sure why everyone says the class and exams are easy. I got C's on the tests that weren't directly about the Constitutional amendments, and on the final. I certainly studied the material and I generally get A's, but the tests were not on the Amendments or branches of government or philosophers, etc., or even on the in-class lectures.
professor som is a good guy. he really helps his students in any way he can. tons of reading and tons of mini quizzes online. the tests are straightforward.
Som is a great guy, but an okay professor. He is kinda scattered, but if you do all the assignments you will get an A. He also hands out extra credit for literally everything.
His lecture is not clear at all. I did not learn a lot from his lecture. However, I read the books to self-learn. He was easy.
His conduction of class is incoherent, his instructions for assignments are often unclear and overwhelming. I genuinely enjoy political science and I have never really had any problems with any of my other polisci classes. Being challenged isn't a problem for me but feeling lost and unaware what I should be doing is. Don't take him
Great class. I learned a lot from his POSC 450. However, be prepared. Mini-essay every week. Community service required for passing the class.
This professor is super awesome! If you have the chance, take him! You are guaranteed an A if you just do service hours and show up for the exams. He lets you take whatever you write down and have open note midterms and finals. I wrote out both study guides and got a 99 percent in the class. He is helpful with your final paper and presentation!
I have to admit this was one of my tougher classes this semester. Often overwhelming as there is a lot of effort you need to put in his classes BUT it was still the most interesting and meaningful one. He is also the funniest and most patient! I loved taking his class.
Phenomenal professor. He is a pretty funny and an outgoing guy and explains the class material well. The service learning is not difficult at all, you need to do it in order to pass the class. The quizzes on the readings are pretty straightforward. There's a paper and powerpoint, which are pretty easy if you don't wait until the last minute.
He is one of the most amazing professors that I have has at CSULB. Yes, the course can be a lot of work, but just don't wait until the last minute and it is a breeze. He truly wants to see you succeed and will do everything he can to make that happen. Please take him! You won't regret it!
I would avoid this class at all costs, especially if you have more than 3-4 classes. Gives a lot of assignments and random work. Class structure is non-existent. My girlfriend and I brought in things to donate 3 different times, he counted her credit, didn't count mine. Got screwed out of an A. AVOID!
LOVED this professor. He is hilarious and always willing to help. There are quite a few assignments and he offers extra credit for everything. Allows a small cheat sheet for midterm and final exam as well. Service learning component that is a major chunk of the grade but it was really fun!
Super easy professor. You really don't need to show up to class--just do your work thoroughly, get as much extra credit as you can, and you'll get a guaranteed A.
Professor Chounlamountry is super funny and carefree. He makes the nearly three-hour class go by so quickly. He gives out a lot of random extra credit throughout the five weeks online and in class. He mostly lectures and tells stories. I never read the assigned reading because the material is not difficult. Assignments aren't hard, just tedious.
This short class was my highlight of every Friday. He really cares not only about his students, but about the world and genuinely tries to educate everyone about the real world. He attempts to make even some small change in our lives. I really appreciate everything he did to help us succeed. 1 exam, 2 essays. Great guy.
Professor Som is such a caring professor! Throughout the semester he stresses the importance of submitting assignments, and he hands out extra credit like Halloween candy! His exams are very difficult, but he allows a written cheat sheet so make sure to bring it in. He is the kind of professor who will love you if you donate or bring him a snack.
Som is an excellent professor. He inspires everyone to get involved in your community. Gives lots of extra credit and the assignments and tests were pretty easy. NOTE: you are required to complete 20 hours of service learning. If you get less than 20 hours, you automatically get an F. So you need good time management skills.
This class sucks. Professor talks about unrelated stuff for 75% of the class. Literally learned nothing. Doesn't teach anything. Skips through slides so fast you can't pay attention. You can literally buy extra credit. He gives it out for buying stuff he wants. Literally. Such a waste of time.
1 research essay, 3 online quizzes, a few other assignments. The final was 50 questions mc and an essay (which u can write at home & bring on the day of the final). A funny professor that goes off topic majority of the time instead of lecturing. Easy grader. Do the extra credit!!!! The final was a bit hard even with open notes
This professor is great. But you have to complete 20 hours of service learning in order to pass. The class is easy, especially the final and midterm. The extra credits are just falling from the sky if you take him. There are weekly assignments on Beachboard which is vert easy. I should have got a C, but because of the extra credits I could got an A
1 paper, 1 final, and quizzes that were based on textbook. he goes off topic a lot during lectures, so i didn't really learn. i got a C on the final even it's open notes cause only some of the material in class were on it. still easy A cause he gives tons of extracredit. he just wants class to be fun cause were here from passing AP exam. funny guy!
I enrolled in this course for the purpose of learning something, I actually choose courses that I feel I can learn something from even if they are not major specific. However, I learned nothing from this professor. He doesnt teach and just talks about random nonsense. Also, the guy shuts you down if you pushback against popular political opinion.
Far n away the worst professor I've had at the university. I can guarantee you will not learn a thing, as the entire class is dedicated to his side projects. The assignments are extraordinarily easy and he teaches like an high school teacher - excessively unfocused and playful. Very frustrating, expect to have every class be about community service
When I enrolled in this class I expected to learn something. This class is not the case. He rambles and goes off topic. He tries to be funny but fails miserably. His lectures are useless. His teaching and grading is like a high school teacher. The only good things about his class is that he made it convenient for online and gives out tons of EC.
Professor Chounlamountry is an amazing professor. He gives you so many opportunities for extra credit. Do the readings, take the quizzes, do all the extra credit, do your 20 hours of community service and there is no reason why you shouldn't pass with an A.
He is the best! The professor made side projects in order for people to complete hours. He's very reasonable and understanding of the stress we have going on besides school. He grades reasonable and gives a chance to submit late work with no penalties. And tons of opportunities for extra credit! Truly cares about his students!!
There is so many ways this review could go as prof Chounlamountry is a real character. The title of the course is a bit misleading as you don't learn much about comparative movements in class. However I came out of this class with so much more. Prof C, cares about all his students and wants all to succeed. Plenty of Extra credit to get you an A,
Prof. C was a very relaxed teacher but almost too much so. His instructions weren't very clear and I was never really sure what we were doing during class time. He goes off topic a lot during lectures. The assignments weren't hard but like I said, his instructions weren't always the most clear. Good guy, but I would not take him again.
Honestly didnt learn anything from the proff. He isnt clear on the assignments, ive emailed him and he has brushed me off numerous of times. I received an A, but would rather take a class a little bit more challenging and learn something than get an easy A and learn nothing. Everything was self taught from my own research. Hes too chill and nice.
Professor Chounlamountry is quite the character, he's the sweetest and this class is purely based upon getting 20 hours. The set up of the class is overwhelming, however, the assignments are very easy. Probably 30 minutes of work a week besides the service hours. He makes the course very do-able. Highly recommend, especially if you want a good laug
I took this course with the goal of learning more about a subject that I am not well versed and it meets a graduation requirement. Professor C. did not do a lot of teaching and spent more time trying to be funny or coddling students who lacked the initiative to do the work. If you desire to learn something and want a challenge, avoid this class.
Prof. C is such a SWEET and happy professor! I genuinely loved being in his class Friday mornings! Put in the work in the assignments & youre guaranteed an A!
Prof C is caring, hilarious, and very engaging. Honestly, he doesn't teach much but the class was still very fun. Verbal instructions for assignments are unclear, but just follow the rubric and examples to get an A. 3 quizzes w/ unlimited attempts, final exam (prewritten essay and 40 open note questions), 1 project, 1 research paper. SUPER EASY
Class was pretty easy, but his way of teaching was all over the place. Most of the semester was spent on chatting about the mentor program. He is a nice guy with good intentions but would have preferred to learn more from the class. Do the mentorship , take the quiz's , do the extra credit ( a lot is given) and be detailed on papers.
Hes a nice guy, but he doesnt teach that much. He also goes off track, so I have no idea whats going on in class. His directions for assignments are not clear and Ive been confused since the beginning of the semester. If you need a practicum class, do not take POSC 450. Take a different class.
This professor is one of the nicest dudes I've ever met. We had more extra credit than I had in all 4 of my other classes this semester combined. He genuinely cares about students and is a great teacher. Do what he asks of you and get and A+
Professor made poli sci so easy and fun to learn. Lots of in class fun activities like Kahoots and games to help learn as well as earn extra credit. You get unlimited tries on quizzes and multiple tries on exams. Very easy A.
Professor C cares about his students and wants them to pass the class, but his grading criteria is unclear. The final papers were handwritten despite the class being online and virtual. Although he tries to be flexible with his students, it sometimes ends up being more complicated.
He's a really kind guy, always in a good mood. Class was pretty easy, hardly used the textbook but was slightly useful for the quizzes. He's a bit unclear about the assignments but as long as you follow what the syllabus says, you'll be fine. Kinda need to teach yourself using his powerpoint but it's not too bad. Make sure to ask questions.
He was a great professor. Always in a good mood and extremely caring of his students. Literally gives away extra credit for breathing. You need to want to fail his class bc it's really easy. I never used the textbook & still passed but some ppl found it helpful. There's two essays but gives the info for both of them right away, they are not hard.
Professor Chounlamountry is a fun and kind professor and this class is incredibly easy! He gives SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT that it's genuinely difficult to get anything less than a B in this class. To be honest, I don't think I learned that much because the class was so short but it was fun and incredibly easy so if you need an easy A take this class!
Good class to take to satisfy your service learning hours requirement. He's all over the place and his lectures and courses can be kind of confusing to try to follow. But he grades leniently and there is TONS of extra credit. His teaching method can be frustrating, but overall it's easy if you stick with it.
Short class, only a few weeks long, and I honestly wish it was longer because I really liked Professor Chounlamountry. He made the class fun and the material easy to learn. Projects were fun and not too hard. Research paper towards the end of the class. Lots of information even though the class is short.
He's the best!! The class was only a month long and I wish it was longer. Very easy grader. SO MUCH extra credit. It's literally impossible to not get an A. He's super chill and nice.
He is very nice and his class is easy. He gives a lot of extra credit so you're guaranteed an A. However, I would say his grading criteria for the final written exam is a bit confusing.
He is honestly a gem of a professor. Caring and kind to his students. I will say the class structure is a bit on the unorthodox side of things but it is manageable. Gives a lot of extra credit, knows his stuff, and is really passionate when it comes to his students succeeding. Get your hours in, do the HW, and you'll be good.
I took this class over Winter and just wished the course was a bit more organized in Canvas. The material itself was easy to understand but it was slightly annoying having to scour the module page and the announcements to find what I am meant to be reading and when everything is due. However, the course itself isn't too bad.
Honestly one of the best professors I have ever had. He was extremely caring. If you needed anything he would provide it. The whole class schedule is already created and available on canvas. The weekly online quizzes are open to taking whenever and are based on the readings/pdf lectures (multiple attempts and takes the highest score). TAKE HIM!!!
A good professor vey understanding and gives out a ton of extra credit. Gives extra credit for attending events that he comes up with and likes to be involved with his students.
He is super caring and enthusiastic. Makes the material interesting even if you don't like political science. Gives lots of extra credit so it's nearly impossible not to get an A or B. His grading criteria could be clearer though but he's overall an amazing professor.
Professor Chounlamountry really made learning fun. Every class period was engaging paired with having great classmates made this class worth it. If you have the opportunity to choose Professor Chounlamountry for any course I recommend him. This is my second course I have taken with him and its been great both times!
Really solid and funny professor. A little bit disorganized on Canvas, but manageable. He genuinely wants everyone to succeed! Quizzes are easy if you look at the slides he posts on Canvas and the book. Some assignments take more time than others.
I would highly recommend taking this class for your service hours with Som. He really cares about the students and the class is really chill. We had potlucks almost every two weeks and you can easily approach him. He does assign work that he rarely mentions in class but they are easy to complete. You can get by without the books tbh.
Som's the man. SO funny, so caring. Really recommend going to his office hours. He is so passionate about his students and will doing everything he can to make sure they're successful both inside and outside the classroom. Class was pretty easy, albeit a little disorganized. So much extra credit its basically impossible not to pass. He's great!
Class was very disorganized and he gives off a high school teacher vibe. I want to believe he means well but he can come off very rude and pretentious, often tries to make students feel dumb or shamed and not in a humorous way.
Professor Som cares deeply about his students. He encourages his students to be active members of their communities - to be advocates for those with disadvantaged backgrounds. Som is great at explaining heavy materials such as genocide and the prison-industrial complex. His Socratic seminars are meant to encourage participation and build community.
I took this class in the winter, so it was only 3 weeks. There's three quizzes, one discussion, one project, and an essay alongside a final mcq test and final essay. Very doable within 3 weeks if you are a diligent worker. Offers lots of extra credit. His organization on canvas was not clear, and it was hard finding materials that I needed often.
This class took me back to high school, and not in a good way. Very disorganized and a lot of busy work. It's not difficult at all, but he communicates everything in such a roundabout way that it can cause a lot of stress. Thankfully, it was only 5 weeks.
i have mixed emotions ab this class. Som is a nice guy overall. But his class ran RAMPANT. often times he could be rude not fully answering questions. and his classes got hectic, with people saying the MOSt offensive things he would just laugh.Offers the most extra credit in the world. Just gotta be prepared to do well on stuff he didnt even teach.
Most unorganized class Ive ever take, waste of my time and money. In class he is super nice but doesn't teach at all, I ended up not going to class after the 2nd week because there were better uses of my time than listening to Mama Mia or him giving extra credit for some kahoot. Lesson should've been easy but require much effort 4 a 1-credit class
Easy class needed if you passed AP Gov. Very easy and little work.
I took this class over winter and thought it was more than doable. Very easy grader and very nice. The only reason I put more than 1 for difficulty is because I found instructions pretty confusing at times. He does reply to emails, but never actually answered any questions I asked.
Professor Som is the best! His class is easy with lots of extra credit - Unstuck AI was a great study tool alongside the textbook. He's super funny and caring, genuinely wants students to succeed. Highly recommend taking his class!
most disorganized professor EVER. he's a nice guy but makes us do unnecessary work (had to handwrite our discussion posts and upload a pic) literally reads off his Pearson slides.. makes everything into a "life lesson" like dude just teach us SOMETHING.we play kahoots most of this course. started skipping class after the 3rd week, waste of time.
i'm pretty sure this professor has no clue what he's doing half the time. He heavily relies on the textbook and pearson slides. exams are all handwritten with weird wording in the Qs or just too advanced to answer due to the fact that we only rely on the textbook (semi outdated). save your time and don't take this class.
VERY FUNNY GUY. He's very understand, involves group participation, and has a great way of using metaphors to teach. Highly recommended. Amazing guy. Also gives lots of opportunities for students and is so considerate.
Professor Som really cares about his students. He wants students to be community-driven and act on their career goals. He gives projects and assignments that will inspire students to think about the community as a whole. His grading is not strict, but aim to do your best, and he will reward you for it. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.
many on here complain about his lecture style but its not that bad. there are extra credit opportunities available for those who attend class/other political science events. the midterm was kinda hard but he dedicated a whole lecture to explaining the free response portion so that was really helpful. it was an easy, informative class!
this class is an EASY A. professor som is very nice and caring. he is flexible with assignments too (i did a debate and an art project instead of the written portions of my midterm and my final) but if you actually want to learn… don't take his class. i feel like i didn't learn anything, but it's a nice to boost your gpa and a fun/easy class.
He's awesome as a person, and having discussions about history and politics was very enlightening. However, it is indeed a very easy class, and you might not learn much, but take any class with him or join the club he's hosting; he's awesome.
I love prof som hes actually the best take his class if you want an easy class that has no homework, you dont have to go to class a lot, and if you want an overall fun and engaging class. his classwork was super light and he spends a lot of time making sure everyone knows EXACTLY what is on the exams.
Literally the most easiest class to take for a GE. Many, many, many, extra credit opportunities and is quite literally an easy A! Very sweet and funny professor, please take him!!
Took his class at GWC, he is a nice and positive teacher but assigns so much random and unnecessary activities. His work was not hard but it was tedious and something that you don't look forward to.
Sweet professor who gives plenty of extra credit, multiple retries on quizzes, and accepts late work, but his online 8-week class is a bit unorganized. He provides free textbooks, but many quiz questions were specific to the purchased one or included ideas from all of the books. If you just need transfer credits, by all means take this class.
Very unorganized gives bad feedback does not help with anything. Confusing and unrelated assignments.
the most caring professor i've had. so fun
the professor is very charismatic and funny, and there is so much extra credit work BUT class has no structure: he only really talks abt financial literacy, mostly self-study. courseload: assignments (nothing to do w lecture), 3 quizzes, a paper, 2-part final. lwk the most stressful class i took this sem, and it's one unit:) prof, so confusing.
I feel as this professor goes off topic a lot and his lectures never madre any sense. This class was an easy A, but if you are actually looking to learn something, I would pick a different professor. The papers that he would give never made any sense which made it challenging to complete it and turn it in.
Professor Som is a really sweet teacher and his class is an easy A I would highly recommend anyone to take him
