Easiest teacher in the world. If you need to take Liberal Arts Math 1 or 2, take this teacher. She's SUPER EASY, and real nice too.

VERY rude and unhelpful; she thought she was God's gift to the world. She thought she knew everything. She also loved to belittle students and pick on them whenever a question was asked. Everyone hated her. Tests aren't hard, but they aren't easy either.

Very (and I mean VERY) rude to her students, LOVES to pick on students who ask questions and are confused about the material she's teaching, and she is of little help when asked questions after class. Just do the homework and you'll do good on tests.
Can be mean at times and is argumentative if you have a question about something she taught in class. What sucks is only one other teacher teaches MGF1107 at Central (Matthews) - and her class fills up super quick. Everybody hates Ms. Braeseker.
Makes students feel embarrassed to ask questions in her class, and she's a sucky teacher. All she does is take what's in the book and copies it on the board - sorry, folks, but that is NOT what I call a good teacher. It's true that nobody likes her.
Writes clear and explains very well. She checks homework but it does help when it comes to tests. Tests are easy if you pay attention. Helps if you have a question and is a great math teacher overall.
she is so unclear in her teaching. she just throws examples and answers up on the board without explaining why she did this or that and expects you to pick it all up. Tests are a little bit to hard and she is very mean when it comes to partial credit
Her tests are the worst. You take one test and then on your 2nd test there's material from the 1st. I wouldn't recommend her to anybody else. Her attitude towards the class is not to good either.
I felt it was not easy to ask questions in her class also I hate the fact that her tests are accumlative, she doesen't even try and help you out especially seeing as how you need to pass the class because it is a re-enforcement class....I'm not saying she's a bd teacher ...but I wouldn't reccomend
What a rude, sad, and boring teacher. She berates her students and wastes time. This class was just awful due to her.
She was great at explaining things although she was strict about attendance and her testing policy; she really prepares you for the tests and goes over the lessons thoroughly.
She is very intelligent and enjoys math. She explains things thoroughly and provides students with opportunities to ask questions in her class. I enjoyed this class. She is one of my favorite professors at BCC.
This profeesor is probably thee most boring, and typical computer you can have as a teacher i will never recommend her she makes the class unbarrable i wish she would get fired so that no every has to take her as a professor

Wow, this lady needs to find a new career. She has one of the worst attitudes I have ever seen in a professor. When giving exams back she gets this smirk on her face if you did poorly and frowns when you do well. This is not the kind of professor I would recommend to anyone.
This woman uses terrible teaching styles. She would teach my class material on test days that was on the test. Her examples are the exact same problems out of the book. You would think that she would use her own examples to help make the material more clear. I advise you not to take her!

I thought she was a good teacher at first, but she doesnt put up with anything.She's not very leniant either!! All her tests are cumulative...she has menopausal problems and doesn't allow you to do anything. She stresses you on test day which is why I wasn't passing the class...She's just not very optimistic...

Excellent! She's very clear. She's always available to help you with any math problem.Although she's strict (turn off your cellphones before class otherwise she'll make you put a sign at the door) she is an excellent teacher and picky in her tests.Students fail her class not because of her,but because their lack of attention.Calculus is hard itself
Entered couse expecting a nice teacher. Turned out she was like the devil. Very rude teacher, who didnt care too much about the students. Didnt see any class favorites even. She was very dry, and only cared about getting angry at late students. Dont take her! Stopped attending class halfway through!
She's anal! Every little thing she takes points off for! The work can be right but an error in something like adding and you get the answer wrong, and she gives no credit. If the answer is right but the work isn't adequate or an error in the work, she gives no points. Her tests are hard and she gives no review. If your late, just don't go.
True, Calculus is a hard subject, but I think this professor was able to make it understandable. If you do the homework (YOU SHOULD!!) and read over the problems she went over on the board you should be set. I received an A. My lowest test score was an 85. This was in the summer too. I was also warned NOT to take her but I AM glad I did!
She is a very rude teacher. DONT be late or have your cell phone go off in class or she will get on your case. Her tests are hard but if you do the practice tests, you will do ok. She doesn't really care about anybody and she is very bitter. DONT wear any other college sweatshirt! HA!
This teacher is w/out a doubt the biggest B*T** any student could ever encounter. She talks to you as if you were two and shows no sympampthy for anyone who is having trouble understanding the material. Prof Braeseker is very rude and has a VERY negative attitude, she expects everyone to fail and will tell you so herself. She talks to the class like we are children. Checks HW every class. All tests are cumulative, even the final. If you don't understand one section, it will haunt you for the rest of the semester. Don't take! Find another teacher!

She does a decent job teaching Calculus, but she doesn't give much hope to students. She has serious power issues! She likes to have control over the class and scare them. However, she is available for help if you choose, and her tests are straight from the notes and homework that she gives you. However, her wardrobe needs serious help.
OMG.if your looking for an "A" in Calculus youve got the wrong prof.She is extremly HARD & boring. Everyday she starts the class with the same phrases and same flowered printed shirts. She goes over the EASIEST examples in class, and when it comes to the test, they are 100 times more hard. The Final is everything you learned, AND NO REVIEW!!!!!!!!!

When I started the class I was a little concerned because she is very anal about attendence and walking into class late but I believe she is a good professor. She did a good job in explaining the problems. She gives 5 tests and you cannot drop any. She does not give a review for the final and she teaches at a slow pace.
this is not a professor. if she doesnt have his sheet of class with some problem she cant help you with any, she is "zero" with out problem solved sheet. doesnt drop a test. you always gonna get ****i some test and you are gonna get you grade **** for the whole class
what i liked about this class is the review sheet. If you study the review sheet you will be fine because sometimes you get some exercises from the review sheet in the test. Also she teaches good , she is easy to understand.
She's very strict about attendance she gets upset if ur late & makes u wait outside until there's a break. Her tests r fair but if u do the homework & pay attention in class u'll do fine, she takes her time to explain & likes 2 graph, she only checked the calc once for any stored formulas but didn't go deep, her appearence is like if she is unhappy
I thought she was a very good teacher. I learned a lot throughout the semester. She goes thru the problems step by step, which made it easier 2 learn. She checks hw n gives review sheets b4 the tests. If you study the review sheets, then u will do fine on tests. The only things i didnt like was that she was very strict about attendance and hw.
She is a great math teacher. Goes over the material very thoroughly and does not suprise you on tests. You will know what to study for.
there are better professors out there. I can not tell you how many times she over looked my raised hand. I about passed out one day when she did finally call on me to hear my question! Don't do it..go find Easley!
She is very strict, you must be on time and please turn your cell phone off because she kicks you out if it rings. Do all our homework problems and go to class because some class exercise will appear in class. I took her in the six week class over the summer and got an A. Helps if you get test from previous semesters.

I just took this professor last semester. I've never had a good grade in Math in my life. She's an easy teacher. She goes through every problem step by step and very slow. Yeah, the sylabus says theres alot of hw, but not once did she check ours. She gives review sheets before every test and if u Study that your good! I RECOMEND HER!
Do your homework (not collected) and study the sample tests and you will do fine. If you have questions on hw ask at beginning of class and she will work it for you. Make sure you get your lab hours in on time or you will fail. She explains problems step by step and easier than the text explains. Attendance taken, don't be late or disruptive.
Let's be serious, it's Calc 2. It will never be easy. As a teacher, she works out all the homework she assigns to you and the tests are based out of the homework w/ minimal changes. When lecturing she goes very slow and break everything down for you. A bit of an attitude but hey, SHE TALKS PERFECT ENGLISH! Not like most math professors!!

She's the moodiest person I've ever met. Warm one day, then ice cold & rude for the next 2 weeks. Sometimes we felt sorry for her; other times we thought she deserved her miserable sad life. Tends to talk to us like we're 3rd graders, instead of adult-to-adult. + Doesn't have the math knowledge to teach calculus at a college level. Very depressing.

She has no Ideo of theaching, takes 30 mins turning on her laptop and the she just copy the text book nito the laptop!!. Take her class if you want a big F. her tests are 2 day long and uncovered material on them. incomplensible and she only give you the first day of class to audit the class after the first day you're screw. Horrible teaching skill
I am really not one to bash but this professor is not that great. She uses tablet pc which is really difficult because she spends most of the time cleaning the screen. I was happy when she mentioned that her tests were only 24 questions. but when u get the test eachquestion has like 5 or6 subquestions. it ends up being a 60 question test! Dont take
HORRIBLE TEACHER. What she teaches is understadable but the tests are completely different!. She always says "There are no surprises on the tests, the tests are a summary of what I have covered in class and in HW" Pretty much you have to remember the ENTIRE BOOK!. She will look for the smallest and less covered section and test you on that.
She makes Statistics harder than it should be. She makes the tests really difficult to get an A. I do not reccomend this woman at all.

I am really bad at math, but prof. Braeseker explains things in a way that you can understand. She is not easy, or flexible grading, but if you do what you have to do you will get the grade that you need to get. I failed this class 3 times and finally passed.
If you want to fail statistics, then take her. She is the worse teacher ever. She does not care, about your effort. She takes points off for everything. She is extremely moody. When you ask her a question, she gives you a complicated answer. Please do not take this teacher, it will be a waste of your time.

teacher is really mean and seems like she doesn't care about the students what so ever. I'm in the military and at times I might have to leave when I'm called on duty. She gets really upset and forms this really big scene infront of the whole class and tries to humiliate me. I don't think that it is necessary. She needs a NEW carrer. NOT TEACHING!!
All these people that said that Sondra is a bad teacher are lazy student who don't like being on time and who don't like to do the assigned problems. In fact, most a the problem solve in class appear on the test.she breaks down everything step by step. She's excellent.
She doesn't drop any grades. Final Grade is based off of four 100 pt tests and one 200 pt final. However, she did give a few Pop Quizzes because people weren't understanding the material and never explained how it fit in. Doesn't count homework for a grade but checks it every class and always gives a speech questioning if you care about this class

The worst teacher ever. I took her and had to drop the class because she doesnt help you when you are lost or unsure about material. She rolls her eyes and belittles you in class in front of everyone when you have a questions. Dont take her she is a bad teacher and will confuse you. We started out with 30 students and ended with 7. dont take her!!!
Her tests were way too long. I am an honors student, and my honors classes are not as difficult as her class. Calculus is a hard subject,but she makes it difficult because she puts too many questions that can not be answered in the time allotted. She enjoys watching people squirm. Take her course only if you speak Cal. as a second language.
The homework she assigned, information she lectured on and other info she provided such as practice tests and reviews really prepared us for the tests. Math is not my favorite subject and I was worried about this statistics class, but she really provided what was needed to excell in the class.
She offered many practice problems in class that were extremely helpful. If you do all the homework problems assigned, you will do great in the exams. She was always available during her tutoring hours and was extremely patient and helpful. I don't agree with the negative comments some had to say about her. I thought she was extremely fair.
do not take this class with her 26 students started and i left and there was only 6 left right before the withdrawal date teaches to many chapters before the test and doesnt review anything never take this class with her
The person who commented before me must have been in my class because I had to withdraw as well. DO NOT be tardy because shell think your 45min late. She DOES teach too many chapters per test. Great professor. Explains in great detail and takes her time. Gives good reviews before tests. Her tests are fair, but she doesn't drop any grades. Homework and attendance are mandatory. Just come to class and study the notes, and homework. You'll do fine. She's easy to find at labs and office hours. Trig is HARD. Lots of memmorization.
Trigonometry is hard! Lots of memmorization required. This professor takes her time explaining every concept and is very helpful during lab hours. However, she does expect students to participate in class and keep up with homework. Please do not take her class if you are a slacker.
She is not bad. Any students who leave negative comments about her are lazy. She made first 2 tests hards that took so long. If you want to do well on tests, you have to show all work each question. If you don't show all work, she will take points away from your test that cause you fail. I got B in MAC2311 in 2009 fall term.
I had this professor for trig and calculus and would recommend her to anyone who is serious about learning calculus and math. She is tough, but she is extremely helpful and teaches very well. She has tutoring and office hours 5 days a week- even Saturdays! Her grading is tough as well, but always fair. She is extremely dedicated and awesome!
Worst teacher ever. I'm a Math Education major simply because every Math teacher i've had in my life has been great to be around and interesting and made Math fun to learn plus I get it, usually. This woman killed all of that positive energy for me. Rude. Useless. Dumb. Uninteresting. And all around a bad person.

She's a great teacher as far as breaking down each step but she put problems on tests that weren't similar to homework assignments; we were just supposed to remember everything from Calc 1&2. No review or recall. Curve ball test ?'s. Assigns odd problems but uses even problems on tests. My book got me my A.

I was lucky enough to have her for Calc 1 and Calc 2. She is one of the best teachers I have had. Her test are challenging but if you go to class and pay attention you will get an A trust me. She explain each problem step by step and she is a really good teacher. Is up to u to earn ur grade. She will give u the bases for it. I got A in both classes
Seriously she is one of the best math teachers I have had. Test are straight forward. Not easy but if you go to her class and take notes and practice on ur own.. U will get an A. My lowest score in her test was an 87 I got anA on the final grade for CALC.

NO CELL PHONES! homework everyday but u dont get a grade for it. 5 tests durind the semester plus the final one (you have to pass the final exam and complete 15 hours of lab in order to pass the class) i ll recomend her and i will take her again. i dont like math and i passed every test with at least 90%

Sweet lady! very helpful and works through problems step by step. gives extra credit bonus questions at the end of every test. i got an A. just practice the material like you would any other class :)

Sweet woman. Knows what she teaches you. Doesn't really challenge you; lets the course material do that. Explains what will be on the quizzes. Pretty easy as long as you do the homework. No curve balls, but does like the baseball projectile problems. Also likes Big Bang Theory a lot, and hockey. Don't know why I decided to include that info. Cheers

Prof. Braeseker is sweet, very clear when going over examples & cracks jokes throughout. Her tests are exactly what she reviews with no surprises; every week is a group assignment & a project at the end of the class which isn't too difficult. I'd definitely take her again.
Grade is only 4 exams, so better know your stuff. Exams are challenging in that there's a lot on them, so practice being fast at solving. The exams are reflective of the homework and practice tests. Assigns homework, won't grade, BUT DO IT! It's to LEARN. She's talented at teaching. Doesn't mess around though. Overall challenging but good class.

Absolute worst professor I have ever taken! She was rude and extremely strict. She does not make a real effort to help you succeed. Her tests are confusing and does not relate well to her actually decent lectures. She only has 4 tests and that's it, nothing else to boost your grade. I really am not a lazy student either, I usually get As and Bs...
Professor Braeseker is a clear-cut, dry professor. Although she can come off as rude, she cares about her students understanding statistics instead of just BS'ing their way through. She does not tolerate disrespect. Show up, put your phone away, and you will pass this class. She even cracked a smile towards the end of the semester!
This professor does not use technology. She only allows text and a useless II-30XIIS calculator. One has to memorize all the steps to get the answer. Other professors use MyLabsPlus and a graphing calculator TI-83 Plus. MyLabsPlus helps me to get instant feedback while practicing the equations, learning to use the graphing calculator allows success
WORST math professor I have ever had. WILL NOT let you see any of your test grades or the errors you made on them unless you are able to go to her office hours. Will give you the death stare if you even think about talking in her class or coming in late. Terrible at responding to emails so don't even try. Extra credit is nonexistent. STAY AWAY!
WORST PROFESOR EVER! She refuses to let you see your past tests so you can see your mistakes making it extremely hard for you to learn what you don't understand. Extremely rude and will not tolerate WISPERING or showing up late! Only 4 tests and that's it nothing else to help your grade does not offer extra credit. Trys to make jokes... not funny.

no multiple choice in tests, her method is the only way to solve a problem or its wrong, very rude, kicks students out arbitrarily, wont explain a question more than once just says look in the book, wont answer questions at all sometimes, must show all work in HER WAY or its an F. I would avoid this professor at all costs! She's a fairly decent teacher but she crams a lot of material into the chapters and expects student do all the work (exactly the way she teaches it and no other methods). She doesn't use myMathLab or anything like that and don't you dare flash a cell phone in her class, because she will make you leave.

Classes allowed me to be prepared for test, teacher seemed understaning of excuses I made as to why I was late or unable to make it to certain classes.
I was taught to push for perfection in my work. I was rewarded for it, both in my grade and what I took away from the course. Know your trig and Calc 2 to make your life easier. Great mind, pushes you past limits. Took Calc 3 along side this course with her. I found Calc 3 to be a nice supplement let alone a class. 10/10 would take again

The only reason why she is even getting a one star from me is because there isn't anything lower. She's literally disrespectful. You can't even ask another student a question about the lesson without her stopping the lesson to be disrespectful. She doesn't even teach, you have to re teach yourself. I've never had a professor that was so disrespectful and rude. You are graded by 4 tests and that's it. I basically taught myself everything. I couldn't not stand listening to her. If you miss a class, she'll hold it against you. If you look at your phone, she'll kick you out. I wish I had room to write more. To keep your sanity, avoid her class.
This class is a challenge. If you are not good at math avoid her, she has a temper to her. She is a good person outside the classroom but inside the classroom try to avoid her if you can.
The class isn't too complicated, and that's that I hadn't done any algebra in over a year prior to taking the class. As long as you take good notes, do the homework, and get tutored when necessary, you will pass. The true challenge of the class is her cellphone policy! EVERY SINGLE CLASS she reminds everyone to "put away their phones"! Childish!

Really bad teacher, only has 1 method to show you and crams way to many lessons and sections into 1 test while making the tests extremely hard. If the answer isnt in her way she takes points off And doesnt grade homework. If u do bad on 1 or 2 tests your pretty much done with the semester, get the book and you may do fine, Avoid at all costs!
Where do I even begin? This lady is just flat out AWFUL. Your grade is based on 4 tests/thats it. No extra credit/dropping grades, not even online homework to help you out. How she even managed to get a teaching job at BC is simply beyond me. Talks to students in an annoying sing-song voice like kids. Wouldnt even recommend her as a daycare teacher
Her class is boring, if your not good at math, do not take her. She treats students like kids ( you don't have to talk in class or use your cellphone). Also, you have 4 tests worth 100 points each and a final. I do not recommend her even though I got an A ( the result of me working on my own).
I enjoyed coming to Professor Braeseker's class. She was always very inviting and never late! Her lectures were very detailed and easy to understand, however if you miss a class you will feel a bit lost. She will give you a study guide for tests. Only grades are through her exams which were decent. Review, show up, and you will pass!

I take about 21 classes at Broward College. This is the one and only class I dropped. She is the worst teacher I never met in my whole student career. Horrible, desrespect and so difficult to get along with.
This is the worst professor I had ever taken in college. I dropped this class because of how hard this class was. Your only grades are from the 4 tests she gives which are really hard. I went to her office hours for extra help and she kept giving me rude looks. The "are you dumb" or "you seriously don't get it" type looks. DO NOT recommend.

This woman is the devil reincarnated. If you want to cringe and want to slap her every single time she talks then this is the class for you. Literally never helpful, her exams are nothing to do with homework. I wish broward college didnt keep professors this trash around.
WORST professor at BC. Im a straight A student and when I took her class all I received were Ds even when I studied for hours. Her class is based on 4 tests, no homework. She has a terrible attitude and looks at you like youre stupid if you dont get the material right away. By far the worst professor Ive had so far.
If youre really bad in math DONT TAKE HER. She gives reviews but watch out because there will be a couple of questions she never taught and puts them on the test and reviews. Grades are based on tests and Aleks. Aleks doesnt help your grade. If you have to take her because she is the only one available go to a different campus! I AM SERIOUS.
VERY GOOD PROFESSOR! The reviews posted that are bad are from students who just wanted to show up and get an A. THIS IS COLLEGE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO WORK. I did not take math for 2 years, I got a D on my second exam and worked my ass off to get an A+ on the third. Show up, Do your work, And use the math lab. Great lectures and a great teacher.
She was very helpful outside of class. Read the section before the lecture, do the homework after each class. Stay diligent and you can pass with an A. Online, use the solve problem for assistance and review homework problems.
VERY GOOD PROFESSOR.! THIS IS COLLEGE AND YOU WILL HAVE to study hard; great lectures and a great teacher. You cannot pass her class if you don't work on it. I like her a lot. But don't forget that she is a math professor, not a magician. i had a great time in her class and she explains everything step by step.
Though she does not offer extra credit her tests are very straightforward and easy. Take lots of notes during the lecture. She explains things very easily and will help if you have a question. The homework is very easy as well just make sure you do not procrastinate. She was my favorite professor this semester and I highly recommend her class.
Dr. Braeseker is very well organized and great at what she does! She explains everything step by step, breaking down the tricky and wordy problems into pieces. Grading is based on 4 exams and Lab assignments which is not a lot, and therefore, great! I enjoyed this class with her! :)
One C on a test brought me down to a B, though I received A's on all assignments, so i finished the course with an B.I understand this is college, but the weighting of her assignments were terrible. The unit tests and the final exam were BOTH weighted 10% of my final grade... How should my final exam be weighted the same as my unit tests?
One of the best math teachers at BC. Lecture example problems are the same questions that will be on the test, including word problems. There are 5 Tests, MyLab Homework and 1 Final Exam. No extra credit. You have to study to pass this class!! Answers any questions you may have & super nice. Great teacher and easy class if you pull your own weight.
Don't let this reviews fool you. This professor is horrible and doesn't care about her students. I don't know how she teaches in person but as forward as online don't take her.
Made an account just to say how awful this class was. She doesn't give extra credit so everything is final and what really matters are the test. If you score pretty low on the test she doesn't give another chance and her final is weighted EXACTLY the same as a regular test so scoring high on that would more than likely not improve your grade.
This was my second attempt at Statistics and I was fortunate to pass this course. This class was an online live setting with homework, 6 tests and a final. She is very detailed in her instructions and explanations. Miss a class and you will be lost. Glad I passed and fulfilled all my math requirements.

The professor is detailed in instructions, but the class can be challenging. Doing the homework, taking notes, and using resources like unstuck AI for study prep are key to doing well. Overall, a manageable course if you stay on top of the work.
I worked very hard and had a 89% B going into a 200 question final. I now am failing the pass and not getting my AA as she has lowered my grade to a 69.2%. Failing me by 0.3 percent. Attemting to communicate this and everything else this semester has been met with kurt and hurtful responses.
Grade is entirely dependent on 3 tests and final. Professor doesn't help at all when you don't understand something. Syllabus due dates are confusing and sometimes not even listed. The class itself isn't hard, but professor ruins it. Take this class with another professor if you can!
This professor should retire. Will ruin your GPA, there is not enough assignments to possibly balance test grades out. If you're trying to graduate this professors class will delay you. Only way you pass this class is if your math fundamentals are sharp and strong or math is your second language. Let this post be your warning.
Took her for Spring 2025. Grade depends on you doing well on tests and the only extra credit opportunities are the bonus questions on the tests. All homework is on MyLab and it's very time consuming You must attend lectures or else you won't know what's on the tests or what material to study She explains problems well but it's a lot to keep up with
