Extremely easy class if you do the training (which is also pretty simple). Only downside is having to do the 36 lab hours. The exams are all online and only took me about 10-30 minutes ea. Exams results are available after the test so there's no waiting to see your score. Also introduced us to a lot of great programs that are available online.

I love this professor. he is so easy and funny. he makes you more interest in the world of computer. i took him in winter, i got an A, he does not take attendance. but make sure you understand lesson so you can do his midterm and final, it is a little hard.

This professor is really nice because he teaches good when the instructor is not in class and he substitutes only the CSIT 291 class. You just have to put a lot of work and study to get an A, but you also need to comprehend the lecture of the professor material to test your knowledge. This instructor is awesome and he'll answer any questions.

Great class for independent study and learning about computer programs that are useful for work and school environments. If possible, I would like to see students for this course in the future be able to receive credit hours from the learning center computer lab. Some students may find it more comfortable there than in the other labs to learn.

Very Helpful. If you complete your assignments and study there is no way in the world you should not pass this course. Prof. Su is a very fair instructor. The added bonus is that you don't have to wait a million yrs for your final grade to post because it submit it right away.

Great Professor

Mr. Su clearly states what is expected of you and when assignments are due, in the online syllabus. As with any online class, one must be self-motivated. If you keep up with the textbook reading, use the online project-training, and stay on top of all the due dates, it is impossible to not get an A. Lots of xtra credit.

If you take advantage of the training before all test you will definetly get an A. Mr. Su is fair on his grading and offers extra credit even though his class is easy.

Helpful and easy. It's better to read the books before you take tests and practice test. It just helps a lot more. But if you don't have time to read then study the practice test until you ace those. Took this class online. The homework is the test, so if you do the homework multiple times you will ace the test. The mid-term and final are made of mostly vocabulary, so if you read and take notes you should be fine. There are also pretest for the mid-term and final. Half of the pretest questions are on it so study or take notes. Easy class

in overall a great class just keep up with the questions he puts on and the main thing you may want to do is just answer them as soon as he puts it on the etudes site because time does fly . Class is very easy. Online class that requires students to submit discussions on topics reviewed in class. As long as you submit all the discussions you should be fine. He does allow you to miss one discussion but do not miss any if there is no need for it. Submit all your discussions and you should be fine.

This lab class was interesting. The frequent reminders the teacher provided kept me from missing assignments. The teacher was clear in the instructions, the teacher's expectations were consistent, and the time allotted for each assignment was sufficient. Overall this teacher did an awesome job at keeping the students engaged in the class.

Professor Su, is a great instructor. He responds to emails timely. He is a caring teacher and he is willing to help if students are willing to learn from his instructions. Excellent teacher!!!

If you want to get a good grade, be prepared to work hard. I took the online class and got an A but it was through many hours of practicing the many lessons. Prof Su is OK, answers your emails but sometimes just to tell you the info is in the syllabus so you are sort of on your own. If you can help it, take this class with him but in campus.

The instructor seems to grade fairly and responds to class questions the same day. I took this class online and found it to be straightforward without any surprises but you will not get much else out of the course beyond what is written in the textbook or the supplementary material. Not a bad class but definitely not taught at the UC or USC level.

Mr. Su is a helpful professor and is always available for questions. He does not rush when he is lecturing, so it is good for a beginner like me. He is constantly updating us with news about technology which is good because it let me be aware of what is new in the market. I enjoy his class!

For extra credit, Mr. Su has us attend library workshops. I was skepital at first, but the workshops are actually useful. Eg.Library scavenger hunt,you learn about the library resources.Cite Right, you learn about MLA format. Got article? is about article reserch. Just to name a few. Definitely helps on research for your other classes.

It was a rather challenging class because it was an online class. The professor was very helpful. I really learned a lot. The knowledge I gained from this class will give me the confidence I need to be successful in my career later on when such skills are required.

Unfortunately it appears that at least half of the class dropped and subsequently the professor did not have much reason to engage the remaining students beyond responding to the occasional question or grading the assignments. Professor Song is one of the best teachers out there. Every class meeting is filled with the newest news in the technology era. His stories give motivation. I highly recommend this teacher!

I would recommend taking this class during the Summer or Winter because its very easy. The teacher doesn't collect homework but he does give extra credit. Also he tells you about helpful websites to fix your computer at home. Overall, I took this class to have a better understanding of Microsoft Office and it did improve my computer skills.

Took the summer online course that took about 5 weeks. The Professor provides extra credit & it is helpful to expand your learning. Reading the books is a must. All exams are on Myitlab, yet sometimes myitlab doesn't function correctly. I recommend taking this course.

Test on every week, although the test is not easy, it's very helpful. I took the online class, never talk to Professor Su, but I still feel he always try to help students to solve every problem. I really think that you need to focus more on lecture beside just discussing about daily news and watch those YouTube, so that people could learn more about computer skills. After taking professor Su for the winter 2015 semester, i would really recommend you to take his classroom class instead. unless you know what you are doing and know how to write good notes you're going to have a hard time studying on your own. Working full-time i had no choice but to take his online class. it was still good but only 5 weeks.

Need Book, lots of reading and studying

I have taking many online classes and this teacher really responds to questions and quickly. Very helpful! The third party software was kind of hard to understand but nothing to do with the teacher. He was great and very fair!

I would recommend you to participate his class. He sharing the updating information before class started, you'll get much more benefit beside the subject course. Love his class :-)

Excellent professor. Easy tests and always there to help you. He gives LOTS Of extra credit and it's easy to get an A. He 's also inspirational and teaches you stuff outside the textbook. Easy and interesting class.

What can I say, he is an awesome professor. If you're into computers, make sure to pick him as your instructor you will not regret it! The challenges, or mandatory extra credit appear to be tough when I signed up for his class but in the end I learned how to be creative and had fun. :D

Great class. Professor Su is very understanding and only wants to help you succeed. When doing online tests, make sure you try to do everything exact because it will mark you wrong. Other than that, it was a great class!

i thought class was hard at first, but then i started getting the hang of it. most of the work is on your own and at home. i ended up with a B after blowing the final. fun class with some cool stuff and long work. over all it was worth it.

Professor Su is passionate in talking about up-to-date technology, so his class is really interesting. He is willing to repeat the steps and explain his requirements to you. You'll be fine with the exams in SAM provided that you go through all the training. However, sometimes he talks a little bit fast when guiding you how to use the applications.

Mr. Su is a great Co Sci 201 professor. If you are interested in learning how to use Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access, then Mr. Su is the professor for you. Before this class, I had no idea what many softwares' were capable of. I learned businesses use these for accounting purposes. Recommendation: try the class in the winter! ;

Professor Song Su is an awesome professor. He might come off hard and indifferent on the first few days of class, but only does so that there is a retention of serious students; he is actually very helpful and kind. He responds to all emails the day they are sent to him as long as they are sent before 8 o'clock pm. Some extra credit, but not much.

Currently taking this class for the Spring semester. This class has been clear and although the work in understandable the only downfall is the time we have on the online exams. In class I wish we worked a bit more on the actual lesson instead of our current news. Still, highly recommend.

I am glad I take this class. Now I have my own website for FREE. This class is relative easy. Whenever I have a question, I just emailed the professor and sometimes he responded in minutes not days! The textbook, sometimes does not match the software as the software updates so fast. Anyway, I am glad I took this class.

Easy class because all exams are online. If you ever have questions just email him and you will get a reply within minutes sometimes. All you have to do is read the book, practice using the training and then take the exam. Follow those steps and you and guaranteed an A in the class. If you don't there are still a lot of opportunities to get E.C.

I took the online class. At first I wasn't accustomed to the structure of his class b/c everything is done in SAM and not ETUDES. I asked a few clear questions and he did not answer clearly. I remember asking again, and he was semi-clear. Just do what you are told and you will pass. He seems to be ok and tests/exams are lenient time-wise.

If you really follow what your supposed to do the trainings online you'll get it . You need a lot of time to do the training but it isn't hard .. The nicest and caring professor but grades you by the points you get make sure to do it all and you will get plenty of points to pass :)

Su Song is one of ELAC's elite and he lives up to it. He really enjoys to interact with his students and offers a lot of great feedback and help. Su Song is a great professor and worth it to be in his class.

Professor Su Song is a really nice instructor, he cares about student, reply his email so fast that i dobut if he rest or not. The class might be a bit hard for some part of the Office training, so remenber to practice. Overall, others are quite easy and fun, he even offer extra credit. Definitely recommand this course.

All work is done on SAM. Etudes and emailing professor will be your way of communication outside of class and office hours. Very prompt at responding. Prof, is very helpful and will take you step by step to solve your problem.

OMG! Prof, Su song, is sooo adorable! i Wanted him to be my adopted father because he was so adorable and kind. As for the class, it easy if you read the book. I thought it was a good class, would take him again if i could.

Professor Su Song is the man! Despite what students have said about the book, it's helpful to look at the index to reassure you are choosing the correct of answers when taking the exams. and he even mentions this in the beginning of the semester. However, I'm still skeptical of whether I passed. Take him!

He subbed for the same class I'm attending. My own professor skipped 8 classes in a course of 20 day lecture summer school. He taught us more in two days than my professor did in four weeks.

This teacher covered for my teacher the last week of my summer class, and honestly he taught more in the 2 days he actually taught than she did all 5 weeks

Granted the work you will be doing is mostly online however he explains the process. From the beginning he explains what's expected from the students. You will walk away with a better understanding of the class. If you need to email him about anything he is quick to response.

Professor Song Su is a very energetic guy that has a load of history on his hands. He will tell you about his life experiences which are actually not boring, so no complaints here. Class was overall pretty easy, everything is mostly done online.

I am taking professor. Su Song's 201, this course is very helpful cuz I learned a lot. I knew some useful office applications like excel, sway, one nite, etc. Also, the professor gave us one assignment about recording video on YouTube, encouraged me be brave to upload video publicly. I took this class online so I never got to meet the professor. His syllabus was pretty straight forward. If you miss anything, the professor has several options for extra credit. The class was pretty easy as long as you read the material, youll be fine.

This is a bird course if you are looking for a quick A. You do have to read the book and do the work, but it is more like a hybrid class since attendance was not mandatory. Very good teacher was very satisfied with his class.
