The absolute WORST teacher that I have ever encountered. She is terribly unorganized and her grading is not only nit picky but slow, most papers are not returned for months. She fell behind so much, she made our class read a 200 page play in 1 day. did not put calendar up until end of semester.DO NOT TAKE ENGLISH WITH PROF BUSH!!!

WORST teacher EVER!!! She takes a long time to grade your test/quizzes. She claims that her internet wasn't working so that was her reason for not getting her grades done but it became a frequent occurrence. She really needs to get her act together before she decides to teach a class. I don't know why she is still allowed to teach.

All I have to say is BEWARE! I have no idea how she grades her papers, most of the time she doesn't even give you a grade until after two weeks. This is the first English class I have failed and strongly suggest you don't take her class.

Proposals for papers were graded a day or 2 before papers were due so there was no time to discuss or get help. Rude feedback. Always got As on papers but got Cs.

This professor is worthless. It is beyond me how she is still even employed. She took over a month to grade the first test. She never responded to e-mails. I dropped her class because I figured my time and money were better spent with a different professor who actually cared about her students.

Worst teacher ever! She is in the wrong profession! I think she has another job because she says she is out of town for work a lot or is away for family emergencies. She is very rude with her instructions and doesn't seem to really care about her students. The class started out with 22 students and ended with only 5! DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!

Professor Bush is one of the worst professors I've had. She answers emails promptly the first time by saying she will get back to you, but then she never follows up like she said. I have received perfect scores on essays at UT Austin in upper division courses while she makes erroneous, sweeping claims and takes off an enormous amount of points

Bush was one of the worst professor I have ever met in my life. That women never encouraged any student to study. She doesnot grade any paper properly on time. Toughest Grader out there. Your rough draft might as well be your final draft, your brainstorming might as well be complete complex thoughts/opinions, and there is no room for error. If you are perfectionist then this class should be fine, but one wrong move and YOU'RE OUT!

She never graded the papers on time. It is the last week of class and I just got my first rough draft graded A MONTH LATER. She specifies what is wrong but is too vague. If she actually, did her job and graded our papers on time, maybe I would excuse the vague grading but that is clearly not the case. I should have dropped this course.

She's very blunt. Sometimes her bluntness comes across as rude, but that's just who she is. I can deal with a straightforward professor, but what I can't deal with is her lack of guidance. She allows no room for error, and with no room for error means no room for learning. Isn't that the point of college? To learn?

Professor Bush did not grade anything on time. It is the end of the semester and I still do not have some grades. If you need help, you will receive an email a month after the assignment is due. She grades your rough drafts just as late but still gives feedback as if you can fix it. The course is easy, however, her grading is terrible.

I Would not take this class ever again. We are three weeks into the class and she has still not graded a single paper. The 2nd paper rough draft was due yesterday and she still has not put up the prompt or anything. She does not reply to emails or phone calls and you are basically on your own.

Terrible online teacher, but may be different in person. I emailed her a question and it took 2 weeks to get an answer (in an 8 week course). She gives good instructions for papers, but that's it. Also, she does not tell you that she gives feedback on turnitin. Class is over and still don't have grades for 2 papers. Would not take her again.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. Just a terrible person that gets irritated for asking questions. I have a serious medical condition and have been in and out of the hospital this semester. She made me give her my doctor's notes so I couldn't show my other professors and didn't even help me out one bit with my situation.

This Professor is so lazy that she grades everything in the last minutes. At first, you will see this class is easy but you end up failing. I really HATE this professor and she failed me because of this small mistake that I did on an assignment.

Professor Bush waited 4 weeks(!) after my class was over to put in all of my essay grades. Since I didn't receive my essay grades as I did them, I didn't know what to improve upon. She continued to deduct the same points from every essay because of formatting errors that I never knew about. She is very nice, but VERY behind on her grades.

This is the worst professor I have ever come across. when you email her, she does not get back to you. She is rude and very condescending. She grades your rough drafts. She takes off for the simplest things. You never know where you stand in the class because she does respond appropriately.

Honestly, the worst Professor I have ever had! We had 4 essays total, 3 unit essays and 1 final exam essay. She gave ZERO feedback on the rough drafts of the essays. The only time she gave feedback was on the final drafts during the last week of the semester, after the final exam essay. DO NOT take this Professor if you want a good grade.

She had to many assignments in such a short time frame( winter class which was only 4 weeks)! She DID NOT GRADE ANYTHING UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, which is not helpful when we had rough drafts due and final drafts due at the same time and had no feedback. Honestly having to submit rough drafts is pointless, if you want a good prof. Bodily is your guy.

Waits to grade everything at the last due dates are messy because assignments are opened late and it becomes impossible to tell if it is on time or not. BEWARE before taking her. I got an A in Anatomy and Physiology but a C in her class. I have a 3.6 GPA but her class I got a C in. Most frustrating class I have ever taken. Period. She grades all the essays at the very end of the semester and you do not see your grade until the class is over. She needs a different career path.

This is the worst English teacher ever. Her class is not about writing composition instead the topics are very political. This does not help me to be a better writer instead pick which side is better for her. Heavy grader and review all our papers last minute and give us crappy grade for a rough draft and does not communicate with us on time.

The class is over for a week now and i still don't have my grades for any essay. I just went on econnect and find out i have an 80 in the class without any explanation.

Her work is organized and everything is easy to follow. BUT, she does not grade fast and you will not know what you made in her class until after the semester is over. She did not grade our work on time and gave us a temporary grade and will end up changing it once she finishes grading. I find that totally unacceptable. THE WORST TEACHER EVER TBH.

Unless due to Covid-19 she has changed I cannot recommend this professor. In my experience she is a very strict grader made worse due to the fact that you do not receive grades until after the drop date. If I did not have technical difficulties that made me have to drop out I could have failed without knowing it. Don't take her.

Professor Bush was a very slow grader and had to literally wait around a month to receive my essay grades. Not only that but she is a tough grader and wants things a certain way only. I asked for extra help and met with her virtually to fix my essay, even though I fixed everything she told me to, she gave me a 69. Overall, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!

I started this course starting june and I thought it would fly by fast but I, very quickly, realized that Sonia Bush is a professor from hell. I kept open communication with her and was dismissed or completely ignored. She gave all of my essays and rough drafts 0's and offered not feedback like she said in the syllabus. Do not take her, trust me.

I wish I could rewind time to never take this course again. Her grading seems to be all over the place, and she's quite disorganized. She never left any criticisms for my essays, just gave me a 1/5 for most of the rubric. I wouldn't even bother communicating, as she will reply late and give a snarky attitude in her emails. Took online course. She is really rigid. Doesn't cares about what a student is going through. it's really frustrating with her strict rules of not giving second chance to students. Also grades will be change frequently.

I basically had to teach myself this course. I was assigned 2 essays with rough drafts that were not reviewed by the professor.The final essay was given blindly and you were given 2 hrs to complete. Without the proper feedback to make the corrections then the 3 essays percentages should not have counted as much as it did.

This is the first time I've done a 'Rate my Professor', but I feel that this professor was so bad that it was my solemn duty to notify others not to take this class. I have taken many Dallas college dual credits, and this is without a doubt the worst one I have ever participated in. She grades things late and when she does grade them it is terrible

She is absolutely terrible. Was so petty and gave me a 69 only because I wasn't "argumentative" enough. She takes around 2-3 days to respond to emails. Is super strict on how to format papers. Office hours were only during my high school class hours so I had to leave class to meet her. Takes forever to grade so you don't have much time to correct.

This professor is absolutely terrible. It does not matter how well you follow the rubric and if you get help from the schools resources that she provides, you simply will not get a passing grade. She is incredibly strict and does not provide any grace for grading, as well as some of the commentary on the essays is unnecessarily sarcastic.

I was left confused so many times with this class. Not only does she hardly go over any of the material, but her grading rubrics are more so laughable than they are serious. Really harsh when it comes to formatting papers, you won't be able to fix them in time because she takes ages to grade them.

This professor runs a very rigid class. While helpful resources like unstuck ai can assist with study prep, her grading is extremely strict and inconsistent. Avoid this class if possible - better to find a more reasonable professor.

She makes us jump through many hoops of approval just to approach her and she still has more requirements. She doesn't have leeway nor extra opportunities to help your grade, she assigns coursework during breaks but wont take emails, and her workload is substantial and never-ending.

I have never struggled with English classes as much as this one however this professor marked off on the tiniest of things to a point where she was stressing me out so bad that I got my mom (who has a master's degree) to reread over my essay and the assignment she helped me reread and revise still got a barely passing grade on it

Run. Run as far as you can. If you can't escape her you should pray. This professor will make you want to drop out. Matter of fact drop out of school. Maybe even get traumatized after you see a piece of literature. She is a tough grader, and her group projects are confusing and complicated. I do not wish this professor on my worst enemy.

She cancels classes often, updates grades very late, you will not find your progress before it is too late. She probably checked every assignments for every student the very last day, this explains a lot.

She's a social justice warrior and sociology teacher wannabe. Doesn't want to teach you how to write a good essay, only wants you to affirm her believes and write inflammatory essays. She wants you to use only American sources (essays are about niche international topics). She's flakey and cancels one-on-one meetings day of.
