You need the book! The slides aren't enough. You'll need to study. She's a very nice teacher and will provide add'l help if you ask.

We had 6 hw assignments that were easy but really time comsuming, the first one took me 4 hrs, they're all hand written. i made nothing lower than 92 on hw but they're only worth 25 % The tests are hard, I made a 42 and a 51, even though she gave us a formula sheet and i studied. only take the class if you have time to make it your 1st priotity.

There is not enough praise I can give Dr. Leach. She is a fabulous instructor and a great person. She is tough but we are here to learn. She is hard on cheaters(as every one should be.)My degree will be more valuable because of instructors like Dr. Leach. I will be taking every class I can with Dr. Leach.

She is the nicest sweetest prof, but not knowing what she expected was a big problem for me. The assignments were as she pleased and not listed on the syllabus. I hated not being able to gauge when my assignments were due. Tests were really hard. My gpa went straight into the gutter because of this class.

Class isn't too bad, Tests are also not too bad, as long as you attend the review you will know whats gonna happen. Plus she will also regrade assignments if you ask! I recommend taking her!

Leach is one of the best professors I have ever had. True her tests are hard, but if you come to class, ask questions, take notes, and study (which is what all classes require) you will do fine. She allows only a short time for her exams so set up the problems first then go do all the hard things. She is very helpful and actually really nice.

Wow can't believe her score is so low! Tests are JUST like the hw, I rarely went to class, didn't buy the book and she lets u use a cheat sheet for every test. I did great on the 3 tests now just the final is left! Hw is kinda long but examples on slides are just like it

Dr. Leach was knowledgeable and experienced in her field. So refreshing to have faculty with both academic and professional expertise. Her availability and eagerness to assist all students interested in learning is far more than any faculty I have had so far at UT Dallas. I will definitely take more classes from her.

Good teacher. Posts powerpoints on elearning so you don't even need to go to class or buy the text book. Homework is posted on elearning along with the textbook pages and she doesn't use excel like some of the other profs. Tests are fairly easy and you get to use a "cheat sheet" and write whatever you want on there. And she curves final grade!

Dr. Leach is a great professor! She is so enthusiastic about business-related subjects which is encouraging for a management student. Coursework was a bit confusing at times, but it is most likely due to having a new textbook this semester. I would recommend this course!

First 2 exams were hard but after class complaints the other 2 were super easy. GO TO CLASS. Attendance is not mandatory and she posts all the powerpoint slides on eLearning. HOWEVER, she explains a lot in detail which can be useful during exams.

She was a great professor. Took time to revise PPTs to be exactly what you need to know. Most things are on the slides. She thoroughly reviews the info in class. Willing to answer any questions. Passionate about the material. Cumulative formula sheets for exams allowed. Homework can be lengthy but preps you for exams. I do recommend taking her.

What she shows in class is what is going to appear in the exams.. Be aware that she would test your knowledge in concepts rather than your ability to solve repetitive exercises

Maybe because it was a summer session, but there was a ton of work. Dr. Leach knows what she's talking about and her PowerPoint slides are point on. Part of her exam are conceptual to test your knowledge. She also gives partial grade on your exam as well. Great professor, but a lot of work! So be prepared! No textbook, but homework is thru Aplia!

She is a wonderful professor that made a difficult subject a lot easier to learn. Pay attention to the lectures because they will help a lot on the exam. Overall, I really enjoyed this class and found her to be an excellent professor. Highly recommend!

A good professor. I must admit that I learned a lot from her global supply chain management class. But just earned a B+. Had an exhausting 5 tests on total. I did really well on the first 4 , and screwed up on the finals. But A- is normally possible in her class. I think she had feedbacks about the number of tests and hope she changed it. No HW !

Dr. Leach is a great Professor. I took almost one third of my courses under her. I will not boast her as a faculty one should enrol under to get good grades. But I respect her for the value she delivers in the classroom. One can clearly see the hard work she puts in preparing fro the class. Dr Leach delivers what she promises!

Thoroughly enjoyed taking this course with Dr. Leach! It was refreshing to have a professor who had real world experience and could give several examples that support the lecture material. She is also very fair on grading and offers partial credit on problems. I was so impressed with her I changed my courses in the Fall so I could have her again!

The class isn't easy, but if you study and make sure that you read and do the problems as they are gone through in class, then you will be fine. Dr. Sonia Leach is one of the best Professor's I have had at University of Texas, Dallas. She takes her time to explain the material step by step. Be ready to study a lot though. I have another class with her in the upcoming semester and I am super excited she is the instructor for the class.

First and foremost thing - Do not do silly mistakes in test. Since it is MCQ's you will lose 4 marks straightaway and can do nothing about it. I feel 1 Hour 45 mins is less for 100 marks exams. Total 3 exams, 2nd and 3rd exam you have to study hard and practice coding. Though attendance is not compulsory, do attend. Do not select approx. ans in mcq

Great instructor, content isn't hard either. This is a required class for MBAs, so pick her section and you'll never regret it. You can't go wrong picking Sonia Leach.

Her lectures can move pretty quickly and she can be boring at times, but you can tell she is really passionate about statistics. Her exams were all online which made the course a lot easier. I would recommend her if you have to take graduate level statistics because from what I have heard she's your best bet.

This is the best professor I have had so far at UTD. She is exceptionally well organized and clear in presenting the material and in what the requirements are for the class. The exams are difficult by UTD standards, but the questions are fair and coveredd in the presentations and homework. Not doing well in this class is likely your own fault.

Challenging course. Barely came away with the A-. Professor is quick to respond to emails and is very nice. Course consisted of 3 exams, 100 points each. Professor goes through the lectures quickly, so can be challenging to keep up at times with difficult concepts. Knows her stuff. Solid professor and you'll need to work for a good grade.

The class is only based off of 3 exams that are not curved and the exams are roughly 25 questions. Therefore, it is very difficult to make an A. HOWEVER, i appreciate that this class did not have a lot of homework and was mainly independent studying. I would recommend this class. As long as you study before the exams you will do fine on the tests

I'd recommend Dr. Leach's class. You must keep up with the material as the last exam is worth the most points and has the toughest concepts. However, her lectures are well-done and if you read the book and do some practice, you should be fine. If you don't put the work in or understand the concepts, the exams will be tough.

Great professor but the lecture videos for being an online course are way too long. She is very thorough which is good but that turns a 1 & 1/2 hr video into a 2 & 1/2 hr video. On top of that there are too many supplemental videos and texts that we are required to watch and read on top of the textbook.

Sonia Leach is an amazing professor! She is extremely thorough in her lectures and Excel demonstrations which are key to understanding the material to this course. The material itself is difficult, but the lectures helped with understanding/grasping the concepts more than the textbook did.

In addition, Professor Leach cares about the success rate of her students and will go out of her way to help anyone who is struggling and takes the initiative to reach out to her.

If you put your head down and do the work, you'll be set up for success. The course material is challenging but she's there every step of the way to support her students and help out.

Have to put in the work for this class, especially if you are not too comfortable with Maths and Excel in general (like me). Tough class but it stood out to me because of Dr. Leach's genuine kindness and flexibility, especially out of class. She replies to e-mails VERY fast and will reply to everything, so e-mail her for anything. Decent curves.
