Very good teacher but difficult class

I absolutely Loved her, I took her 2 different semesters for 2 different math classes. I suck at math and got an A each time! She ROCKS!

She is in a hurry a lot, assigns homework that she doesn't cover in class which she does not collect and grades tough. HOWEVER, she offers plenty of "Freebie" quizzes that allow anyone to make up for missed or low-scoring quizzes. She doesn't really like questions during class, but she is helpful outside of class.

Ms. Golden is a really good teacher, however, she is very fast paced. this class is not for slow learners, however, she is more than willing to help you. i got an A but i worked hard to get it. again this teacher, is great, she teaches well, but she is fast paced!!

Great instructor, I took her for College Algebra and Liberal Arts. SHe works at a fast pace, but if you do her quizes (without cheating) you will be prepared for the test. Also makes it very hard to fail with all her freebee quizes. She also makes herself very available for extra one on one help outside class.

Great teacher! Helped alot during office hours. A TON of extra credit. There is no reason anyone should do bad in this class unless they just don't do the Work!!! Would take her again in a heart beat!!

An outstanding teacher who loves math. She devoted much of her time to offer extra help and made earning extra credit easy! I had a successful experience, and I am not a Math person.

a great teacher, she knows her stuff, however she is fast teacher, so if math is not your thing you may want to take Timothy Achenbach, he is a slower teacher. Ms. golden, however will bend over backwards to help you if you show initiative. I still talk to ms. golden everyone now and then, Business Calc was a hard class, but she was fair!!

This professor teaches at 150 miles per. hr. there is no way to graps info... this way.Six students dropped her for speeding!However, if one goes to her office hours she is than helpful.Slow it down to 50 miles per. hr. so you do not get a ticket!

The greatest math teacher that I have ever had!! I took College Algebra at the Ybor campus with another professor and took intermediate Algebra with Mr. Odu at Brandon Campus and she was the greatest by far. Starts everyting with the basics- your notes will be A++ in her class...and she gives many opportunities for extra credit. A++ Teacher!!

Very helpful. Homework was usually only 2 to 3 problems. Only complaint is that was homework due almost every class, but granted it was only 2 to 3 problems. Quizzes were usually take home. She gave tons of oppurtunity for extra credit and always willing to stay after and help you. She is fast, but starts with the basics. Loved her classes.

She is the best math teacher I've had! Gives 2-3 homework problems due almost every class but they are pretty easy, very similar to the examples in the text book. Take home quizzes, plenty of chances for extra credit, great pre-test review, and she is willing to go out of her way to help students during her office hours if they need it.

Awesome teacher! I was truly mathematically challenged but she has forever changed that. For the people that think she goes too fast...all you have to do is show up for every class. If not you will miss something important. I have taken her for every math that I needed for my degree & have always been happy with the end result. Rock on Mrs. G!!

Golden is one of my favorite instructors!!! I am not a math person, but she made it very easy. She could see me struggling, and would take the inititive to make sure I got it. Incredibly helpful. Everyone learns differently and she gets that and will try different methods to reach you.

Best and easiest teacher that I've ever had! As long as you pay attention and do a little take home work, she's easy to follow. Tons of extra credit. It's hard not to pass.

I am glad I chose this class, Mrs Golden is a GREAT teacher! Yes, she teaches quickly, but ALWAYS encourages students to ask questions if they get stuck.If she'runs over' students, it's their own fault for not speaking up so that she can clarify it for them.I graduated highschool 11 years ago &have never been good at math, & got an A in this class.

Mrs. G is the bomb! This lady knows her stuff, and is always willing to give the extra hand. She tends to go a bit fast, but tell her to slow down and she will. Mrs. G is an inspiration, If your not a math person this is the teacher to take. Definently taking her for Mac 1105. Recommended.. Seriously.

This prof really knows what she is talking about! Excellent Professor! She is a little tough and maybe a little fast but she is really good at teaching. I just wish I could take her next semester for MAC 1105 but it is on the wrong day for me. I hated Algebra before her class and now I like it. I would recommend her.

It is very rare you find a teacher who really cares about you. She will take as much time out as possible to help you, all you have to is ask. She gives plenty of optional homework to allow you to practice and she is very fair in extra credit and half credits. She is what your math teacher should be.

Mrs. Golden is amazing! I wouldnt suggest taking anyone eles for math. She loves her job and is VERY helpful if you dont understand and always has an open office door.

Like the previous person said, it is rare to find an instructor who really cares about you. Mrs Golden is the best instructor I have ever had. She is extremely helpful and encourages students to come to her for help. Her grading is fair and there are no surprises on the tests. I have taken her for 2 math classes and highly recommend her to anyone!

I have her for College Algebra and she goes in FAST PACE mode. If you can't catch on quickly, consider yourself done for the semester. Her test questions are pretty hard and she LOVES word problems. She gives tons of xtra credit in her exams. But overall, she talks/teaches FAST.

I had Mrs. Golden for calculus and if you can keep up with her, then you will do good. If for some reason you did not catch the info in class, her office is always open for you to have an one on one session with her. Even though she does not require you to turn it in, it will help you a lot to do the homework she assigns.

I took this class online over the summer.I highly recommend this teacher. If you just follow directions and make sure to turn homework assignements in,you'll do great!Helpful hint, if you print off the "Show me an example" option working you through the problem,it is a very helpful tool for her online quizzes.I avg a 95 on quizzes with this trick!

I am taking Liberal Arts Math I online (Distance Learning) and I have no difficulties. Great teacher, responsive to emails and questions about material and class. Helps when help is needed. Would recommend.

Mrs. Golden cares a lot and will help you whenever you need it. It's rare to find a professor this great. Take your Algebra and Calculus classes with her and you'll make the grade as long as you try.

Mrs. Golden is the best mathematics instructor I've ever had, and I have had her for College Algebra and am currently in her Business Calculus class. Yes there is a lot of homework, but the more practice you get the more you learn. She cares a lot will help you if you stop by during office hours and ask.

It's not an easy class, and you do have to do the homework to become faster at solving the equations & problems, and understand them really well.

She's extremely nice and will do a lot to help you outside of class. During class, you're not guaranteed clarity, but she'll sit down with you afterward and show you step by step how to do things. All in all, she was a great math teacher. Though, I admit, it helped that I knew a lot going in from Econ.

Ms/Mrs Golden was amazing. The more professors I have, the more I appreciate her. Her blend of online and one short class a week worked spectacular with due dates. And her clarity and approachability with questions made learning math (as cheesey as it sounds) fun and easy. Coming from someone who is not all too great at the subject. Loved her.

Prof Golden is a fabulous teacher with amazing abilities in Calculus and math in general. Stay upbeat, keep positive, attend every lecture, and keep up (as best you can)with the homework. There is no other teacher who will work so hard to help you achieve a grade you can be proud of. This professor cares about all of her students!! :)

Haven't taken a math in over 7yrs& even then I wasn't good at it. This class is based off HW(online&continue til you get 100%), Quizzes(Open booknotes since they are online), and 2 exams that must be taken on campus. You are teaching yourself but use the books examples and if not ask for help on discus. board and others are willing to help.

Calculus for Business was tough but I haven't taken a math class in 5 years. Make sure you are pretty sharp on Algebra skills. She is definitely there for you and will meet anytime to work with a student one on one until you understand the material. Homework isn't a must, didn't use the book. Just don't miss class or you'll get behind.

Ms. Golden was one of the best professors I have ever had. I am not a math major, but she made it painless. Put in the time, and she will bend over backwards for you. She doesn't hand out grades and shouldn't. Not sure why some of the other ratings expected that. Always responded to emails within a day. I recommend her to all of my peers.

Mrs Golden is the best! If you plan on taking her class, do your homework, use the book and notes for tests. She's willing to help you and is very patient and kind so don't listen to all the negatives . There's nothing but positives!

Took solely online with MyMathLab which may be my first mistake. It's confusing in the syllabus when she says there's no extra credit, yet you can post in discussion boards for it. I don't know if MyMathLab was bad or what but her emails honestly said to get a tutor or drop the class. Not encouraging at all. Would not recommend.

She is so nice and very easy to understand. She also grades very fairly and will help you understand why a certain answer is wrong. I would recommend this class to those who are going for a business major, as there are many things that can be applied to other classes.

Ms. Golden is a sweet little lady, shes straightforward in her lectures, doesnt sugar coat the material. Its up to you to make the extra effort if you need help understanding something. She likes for her students to talk and laugh in class, she also likes for her students that need help to work with her in her office after class. Shes great!

Ms. Golden is a very easy going professor. For this class, she will give you a booklet of the notes for the unit, she gives "pop quizzes" each class before a test but she tells you about them and you can work with a group. The pop quizzes are basically what the test is going to be just with different numbers. Somewhat heavy on HW but not bad.

She is great professor who cares about her students. If you put in the work, you will pass.

Very caring and reasonable professor. There are two proctored exams. If you review the practice tests she provides, you will pass them. There is homework for each section but that's how you have to practice and absorb the info. Drops several of your lowest grades, from homework to quizzes and allows submission 3x of hw/quizzes to get best grade.

Professor Golden is absolutely golden! I am not the best with math but she made it very simple. She was helpful, bubbly, and she never made me feel stupid when she was helping me figure something out. Be ready for a lot of homework though.

The material is tough but she makes it easy to understand. She is very reasonable and goes out of her way to help you. If you show up, pay attention, do your homework, and especially ask questions; you will do well. She only tries to help you and would even answer back on the weekends if I had questions. Lots of homework but it really helped.

I am very bad at math, but her layout made it easy to grasp. You can work ahead but tests are locked(only open one day also). A few extra credit opportunities if you are not a great test taker(Tests are 60% of grade). Book was free and she is very responsive to emails. Lets you show work on tests for extra points. Would recommend her to anyone.

Mrs. Golden will go above and beyond if you're putting in the work. Use tutoring when she's unavailable, and you will be ahead of the game. You will do great if you're good at math. On the other hand, if your math fundamentals are weak (mine were), put in the time. I'm about to take my third course with her, and I recommend her without reservation.

Professor Golden has good lecture and review videos that go over practice problems and what you need to know or study before each quiz and exam. Textbook is provided free of cost and homework is done through MyOpenMath with so many attempts so it's easy to fix any mistakes. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities.

She gives a good class and is caring when it comes to students. She does have a lot of homework but it is understandable. She is a good test grader and will give you good points if you clearly show your work from the tests. You'll have to take one test in-person but as long as you are prepared it should be fine.

took her for intermediate and college algebra and loved her! her class is def very fast paced and i felt it more for college algebra bc the lecture was shortened but other than that she is very sweet and will help you a lot! there is a lot of homework and worksheets after every class but dont hesitate to ask for help bc she will provide that!

i have always struggled with math but ms. Golden is a very good communicator and ensures that you completely understand assignments and how to actually hold the information given. would def recommend and take any of her courses.
