she is alright..i never did homework just listened closely to her luctures still have 2 weeks of class left (spring 2004) seem to be getting a b or an A not sure yet. but just listen to her lectures and ask all the questions u want she'llanswer & u'll pas

The accent is NOT a problem- very slight. Great teacher who loves what she does and is good at it. She wants you to pass if you put in as much effort as she does. DO THE HOMEWORK! ASK QUESTIONS! YOU'LL PASS!

She is a really good teacher who cares about give an effort.If you are lazy dont take her. If you care about learning she is highly recommended. Her accent is also clear.

She loves to give you homework and quiz you every week. She hase a slight accent but if you don't understand her just ask her to repeat or give another example. Those who didn't pass either loved to ditch class or failed to do the homework.

She has an accent, but its clear enough. Gives homework everyday, but it's to benefit you. You don't have to do it if you don't want to because she doesn't collect them- only the handouts she makes you do while in groups to prepare for the test. There's quizzes probably every other week. Most of the problems on the homework is on tests and quizzes.

She is the best teacher to prepare you for next math classes. She was recomended to me by the dean, & the things I learned in her class have given me an edge over students that took other teachers for algebra.She is misunderstood but genuinely cares about her students suceess.If you are serious about school take her class if you care about learning

I really enjoy Mrs. Zamani and her funny remarks. She makes class more interesting. It is not because she is critical but she is very blunt and sincere with where she is coming from. She has the student's best interest at heart... I wish I can have her again next semester. She is great.. I never loved math so much til' now

Good teacher, she knows her stuff. Yeah she can be really strict and she gives homework everyday, but it's only for your benefit. Just ask her for help if you don't get something, or go to her office. If you do the work, take notes and attend class, it's actually pretty easy to get an A.

She's a great teacher but needs more time, she goes thru all the different ways to solve a problem, cramming what should be a 2 hour class into 1. It's easy to fall behind b/c of all the info, and you'll need to get tutoring, b/c she doesn't waste time reviewing homework, the textbook is horrible,and Solution Man.garbage. Recommend for the twisted.

She's funny and she teaches the class well. She expects you to do the homework even if its 10% of your grade. She wants her students to succeed and the only way is to actually do the work. She loud and clear, although she has an an accent. I hope she teaches math 252!

I like ms Zamani, she really wants her student to learn. You have to study for class because her quizzes and tests are really hard and can be really tricky. Do her homeworks and try to get good scores on the first few quizzes, since her math problems get more complicated. If you're not into serious studying, don't take her class.

So many people complain about Zamani, "she has an accent," "she grades unfair", "she's unclear," etc. But those are fortunately all myths (except for the first part). While she does speak w/ an accent, she explains the material with clarity. She wants you to do the hws and as long as you do the work, you'll pass w/ an A! I'm taking her for Math251!

Zamani expects a lot out of her students. If you make her, be prepared to do a boat load of homework. I think that is the hardest part to be honest. Her tests are reasonably fair... I would look for another professor though

EXTREMELY HELPFUL TEACHER. Do the homework, then you won't have to study for the quizzes/tests/finals no more (the questions are relatively the same) Got an A in her class without too much effort (but still LEARNED A LOT). The only thing I dreaded was using WileyPLUS. TAKE ZAMANI! =)

She is really easy. She gives a lot of examples an shows how to do each step. Either you're not listening or just an idiot not to understand her. Her tests are easy but I just wish she didn't care about attendance. I would have gotten an A if I went to class everyday but that's 10% of my grade haha.

great teacher! she explains things extremely well! i learned a lot! her tests are hard and she is a picky grader but as long as you pay attention in class you'll be fine. she seems a bit intimidating at first but shes really nice. there is hw about twice a week, quizzes for each section and a test after each chapter. take her shes great!!

Attendance is not required, but coming in class definitely helps you succeed. I got an A, and without much effort. I am also not a big math whiz, but she made everything easier to understand. The quiz problems/items are basically the same ones that come out on her tests and final. Easy to understand, you learn a lot, and have a swell time. :)

She is OK on teaching. Her tests and quizes are not easy that much, but fair. A was not that hard. Some people are struggling in this class, because the concepts are not easy, not because she is bad at teaching. She is not perfect, but OK.

If you want to learn Algebra than Mrs. Z is the teacher for you. She is extremely helpful and basically has unlimited office hours. If she sees that you are putting in effort, Mrs. Z will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material. Its hard to not have success in her class.

This is not an easy class. If you are good in algebra and trig, you will definitely have a better time. She rewards students who work hard--if you put the work in and show up, you'll get an A. Also, remember that the Final grade replaces lowest test grade, and Mesa packets add points to this score--managed to raise my 85 to an A.

She is very caring and helpful. She made me understand math. She will reopen online hw. Make sure you attend classes or you'll be lost the next. Don't ever miss out on quizzes and tests. I enjoyed having her!

EXTREMELY GOOD TEACHER. Very fair. Gives lots of examples. Tests/quizes entirely based on in-class notes. Explains material very well (accent not hard to understand at all). If you listen and do the work,you WILL get a good grade and KNOW the material. She really knows and loves the subject and makes the class fun. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER.

A tough teacher if you are not motivated yourself. She respects you when you do your work, come to class and show that you are making progress, even if it is a little at a time. She will get to know you and help you. It is important to take this class seriously, get tutoring help and take advantage of her office hours. I got an A doing exactly that

If you want to be challenged and become a better student, take Zamani. I transferred to UCLA this year as a Business Economics major after 2 years at Skyline and could definitely see Zamani being a professor here. She'll prepare you tremendously for the university level. Highly recommend here.

Textbook doesn't help much and the notes only helped a bit. She is supportive and only wants you to succeed. Don't be afraid to go to her office. For more help with the class use the Learning Center, MESA, and Khan Academy.

Ms. Z is not a tough teacher like the other reviews claim. She is clear with what she wants. With math it's either you got it right or you didn't but some people expect to get credit for at least trying. Zamani makes you memorize things and helps you to really understand each trig concept. She definitely prepared me for Calculus. Highly recommend!

She is not as tough as what people are saying. Like any college class you need to put in the work to get the results you want. Make sure you take notes in class and study the notes because the tests and quizzes are very similar to the notes.

perhaps the most inspiring professor in all the math departments for all community colleges. She will teach you how to be an expert in math if you aren't comfortable with it already and will feed you with future guidelines to push you towards you major. people will complain but they expect and crave easy assignments which is a personal problem.

I came into this class aiming for a C because I haven't taken math in 4 years. Ended up getting a high B. Professor Z really cares about her students, she'll bring the best out of you. Yes, there's Homework every night but its not hard, and she's ALWAYS available to talk too. If she sees that you're trying she'll like you even more.

If you don't want to take a hard class to improve yourself, then don't go to college. Going to College is optional in any countries. You are here to get better and struggle so that you improve. She teaches college course like a college level. Of course, it is not going to be easy. You may be stupid for college, because Math 190 is honestly HS level

I spend a lot of effort on her class. She is my best math teacher in my life. Her quiz is based on the example on the class but you need to understand them comprehensively. As an international student, she gave me a strong fundamental of Calculus. I can feel my math skill is improving when I preparing her quiz. Sign up for class and learn real math

I honestly don't get why people hate her. Took math190 with her so I get used to her. She is hilarious and gives hella amount of homework but it is a really good practice for big tests. Got A for both classes. She is caring and patient. She always quotes famous people's to motivate us before every class. She is not a tough grader. Love her.

Professor Zamani is an excellent teacher. Going back to school & dreading math, she made it easy to understand. I took 190 w/ her as well. She wants the best for her students. Not just a passing you b/c you show up. She gives HW every day, but you will appreciate it back the next day graded with feedback. I would recommend if you want a challege.

Zamani is a very caring teacher who teaches you at the same level you would be taught in a four year college. She assigns lots of online homework, she gives out a lot of worksheets, has a lot of quizzes and tests but they are usually graded the next day and she will go over the answers. Just show up, do all your work, and work hard.

Zamani really makes you work for your grade. After the first exam I wasn't doing so good doing the class and she saw my frustration. She asked me to make time to go see her in her office after every class. With her regular office hours and going to SI meetings it really saved my grade and I ended up taking her again for math 200

Miss. Z is one of the best mathematics professors at skyline college, I have taken two courses with her, Calc 1 and 2, she was so professional and organized throughout the year. She really cares about her students and if you are an engineering major student, you would really need a solid base in math and she is the one to offer you that

Zamani is a fantastic professor! She genuinely cares about her students. She gives lots of examples during her lectures, and does review prior to quizzes and tests. She is a very fast grader, so you'll know what grade you got on quizzes and tests the day after. She teaches real math, and you'll definite learn a lot for a solid foundation in math.

Zamani geniunely cares and wants you to succeed. DON'T take this class if you just plan on getting by with a C and moving on. There's a ton of online and paper hw. It gives you a lot of practice, but the exams/quizzes are based on her handouts and lecture examples. She throws curve balls on exams and it takes more than normal class time to finish.

Really cares about her students! Do the homework, and make sure to practice them so you know how to do them without hesitance on the tests. No extra credit, so make sure you do well on the tests. There is homework almost daily, so do the homework and make sure to keep on top of everything

I think a lot of students have some misunderstandings for her. I think she is a great professor. She cares about students's success. She is strict, but you will definitely learn a lot in this class. Lots of hw which help a lot on the quizzes and tests.

No real reason not to do well in her class. She's tough, but her exam questions are straight out of the book. Same thing with her homework.
