The GAs grade everything, and they are too specific. They give a grade on a made up category PEPP which is a mix of attendance, participation, and the way you dress. I don't understand why they would grade you on that when there is no uniform code and this class is at 8:05. Also how do they get to know over 200 kids and judge the way they dress?

Good lectures but he is the worst professor I have had in my undergrad and grad classes combined due to the way he tests our knowledge of the course. I knew every bit of class content, but if you didn't hear one 3 second clip from an hour long guest speaker, you were going to miss a question. Does not convey what you know in the class. Do not take.

You have to buy and read textbook to pass. I've read every word and still somehow make B's on the tests. Very few grades which makes the tests very valuable and they are very specific and difficult. I can confidently say this is the worst professor I've had in 14 years of school. Makes an intro class unecessarily difficult

The worst professor I have had at USC. Expects us to "have created a checklist to make sure everything was all set before you submitted it." Never got a perfect score on an assignment. Tests on every detail. I will be losing 10/30 points due to my lack of "attention to detail". Review your syllabus on losing points for being alive. STAY AWAY!

Avoid him at all costs. His way or the highway. Takes a lot of points of for ridiculous things. Once was taxed 50% of my grade on a project because I went 3 sentences over a page. Also takes points off for not citing properly, in a SPTE class. This is not english. Also, did not learn anything during this course. Worst professor I have had at USC.

There were like 5 assignments throughout the entire semester. He uploaded the weeks lectures on Sunday night and you could do them at any point. Most weeks were just watching him present a powerpoint and some supplemental videos. Overall a very easy class.

Do not take this class. Professor Jeralds tests do not cover anything you learned in class. He will ask you a question about a random fact in a video he showed in class and expect you to know it. No matter how much I read the textbook and studied, I always got a C or B on his exams.

I took this class online and i never did any work until the day the assignment was due and got an A. Test I would start preparing the day before. Yes the test are hard but the wording is the exact same as in the textbook so you know what to expect. I do not know why he has such horrible reviews. He really is a nice guy.

Hes a cool professor and his class really isnt hard. You have to pay attention to lectures and read the book if you want to get decent grades on the test. Assignments you have to read the directions CAREFULLY or points will be take off. Attendance isnt mandatory but he does have in class assignments that cant be made up.

I am a transfer student and this was my first class that I had this past semester and I loved his class. He is a great professor who expects a lot from you, but at the same time is being realistic, especially in this industry. To do exceptionally well, you have to read the textbook and take notes. Its not hard if you time manage effectively.

May come off as intimidating but he really loves to talk to peopl

Professor Jeralds is a professional with experience in the Venues business, but this class is way too difficult for it to be an introduction course. You have to memorize every single detail from the textbook, trust me. His assignments are too specific and they have to be done his way. If you see any other professors available don't take Sporty.

He's terrible. Although he says reading the textbook and taking good notes will get you a good grade on the test, I did that with most of the tests and put in hours of studying yet only made B's and C's on his exams. For a beginner course, he takes everything way too seriously and you are destined for failure if you take this class.

Professor Jeralds is a professional within the sports and entertainment industry, he cares about his students but is strict when it comes to the way you do an assignment. The tests are not as awful as others make them out to be, read your notes and the book, and if that doesn't help there is always a Quizlet for every test. This was a fun course.

There is zero leniency in his class whatsoever and if your assignment doesn't align with his exact thought process, he will give you a terrible grade. Set up to fail. There are 2 types of test questions. Applicable-knowledge-questions: have obvious answers, so you don't learn anything. The others: on stuff like the name of a concert that a guest speaker worked, so you also don't learn anything. You'll exceed page-limit or trim of details for papers so either way, points are docked and you lose.
